Where do I report a Sonar bug? I've had a ticket in for a week w/no answer. I don't use Sonar, Moments or even the beta version of GG but every time GG updates it installs new audio devices and sets them as my device default.

This is a brand new PC, clean Win 11 install. Steel Series is abusing it's admin privileges and forcing me to use Sonar. This is gross and why I jumped ship from Corsair.

Hi everyone. I recently purchased the Pro+DAC for my PC and have some questions/issues. Firstly, is the headset meant to keep the windows volume at 100 and not allow it to go any lower? Also, I am having problems with only the chatmix showing as a device and not the game audio/chatmix devices as it should. Support advised me to fix the HID service to ensure it starts automatically, but that hasn't solved the problem

Hey guys. Im the proud owner of a arctis 9 headset.
Now i have the following problem:

The headset works fine.. but when i choose another sound device when i just want to watch twitch or YouTube videos, the video stutters, like in a way it is not even watchable.

Also when i switch back to the headset whenever i want to game myself, the mic doesnt work. And i have to restart my pc.

I fixed it by reinstalling steam onto the same drive as the pre-existing steam library, however, this is not an ideal solution and not how I originally had it setup when I first started using GG, so, hopefully it's fixed at some point

should note, I had to move my entire steam library folder into the new steam folder that's automatically created, which should be next to instant anyway (if you have an SSD) as it'll be across the same drive

the microphone LED light will just blink when charging, you need to turn the headset on and check the LED next to the power button to check the power level and see if it's charging.

I don't think it's a power issue regardless, it just sounds like the headset got disconnected from the dongle, or windows isn't routing the audio.

I don't have any good suggestions for you except to try and reinstall stuff

If you run Windows and haven't done a clean install for a couple years that might also help, after a while problems and corrupt files and stuff start to build up and cause bugs.

both my brother and I have had sound issues on at least one computer each and a clean install was the only thing that fixed it.

Just got an Apex Pro keyboard. I couldn't get lock key activation colour to change. Finaly it seems to work but only for on-board profiles. If you set your preferred lock key activation color and then switch to your preferred config, the lock key activation color from the last on-board profile will be retained.

@torpid fjord wiggle the cable at both ends and make sure it's fully plugged in. If the mic still doesn't work and the cable is the only thing that's new, get an RMA or a return (depending on where you got it) and try a different one, you probably ended up with a faulty one. Happens sometimes.

sure thing. Macs and Steelseries GG unfortunately don't play nice. The vast majority of people buying Steelseries are on PC or console, so they don't have as much reason to maintain the Mac software at the same level, and it's been an issue for quite a while. Apple isn't particularly gamer-friendly to begin with in any case.

Cant get my new Arctis Pro Wireless to output any audio on my PC (usb and fiber/toslink via included cables) but it works fine over bluetooth. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling SteelSeries GG along with swapping my audio output through all of the options. I've even tried re-pairing it 😦

SteelSeries doesn't sell much at retailers, if you're lucky you might find certain products at GameStop or Best Buy but I highly doubt they'd sell replacement parts like batteries there. You can try eBay or Amazon though, sometimes I can find stuff on there

Hello, i have arctis pro wireless, when connected the transmitter since v10, GG will recognize the transmitter and after 2-4 seconds it will be gray like is not connected, on v11.1 it will stay connected on GG, but after connect the headset to the transmitter this will be gray and can't use GG to setup the headset audio.

Quick question, I was wondering if anyone knows Bluetooth doesn't work for me at all, I have a set of Arctis pro wireless with a base transmitter and I can't seem to be able to connect them to it, it was working fine a year ago, and I tried reaching out to steelseries to get help but I got no response on my tickets, or at least useful response, I've tried reinstalling the audio drivers and resetting the headset with the base transmitter, but nothing seems to work.
Another thing that happens to me is that when I change some settings in the SSGG App, nothing seems to happen, for example: if I try to change the sidetone from 0 to max, nothing seems to happen when I change it thru the app, but when I change it thru the transmitter, it works perfectly fine. Would very much appreciate if anyone could help me solve these problems, Thanks. (If anyone has any idea that they can suggest, please tag me or reply with the mention on)

About the audio issues, try uninstalling your drivers and install them back after you've verified that you have the latest SSGG app downloaded, if you already have the latest version, go to device manager, find your devices (both Chat and Game outputs), right click --> properties --> Uninstall driver (if you have multiple devices, you'll need to do that action multiple times), after you've done it for all of them, reconnect your transmitter and it'll auto download the drivers

Best solution we had was just adding the games manually.

I'm in the same boat. Auto scan will detect Blizzard and Epic games on my PC, but won't pick up any Steam games from auto-detect.

They are all on the same drive, my 2nd storage drive.
Behavior is too weird to figure out what's wrong though.

depends on ticket load, it's going into the holiday season so tickets might take longer. also remember that support doesn't work weekends so if you submit something on friday/saturday/sunday it might even longer before a response comes through.

the mic is probably more what I would describe as mid-range, and if you're used to Apple or even streaming and Studio grade mics then of course it's going to sound awful. Its best feature is the "noise reduction" which works best on Discord. I find the quality acceptable for VC, video meetings, and phone calls, but I wouldn't stream with it. To be fair SteelSeries does produce some duds, so I'd see if you can find a video review of the headset to compare the quality you're getting with the quality of someone else's to see if yours is just particularly terrible for some reason. AFAIK there's no extra software you need for it.

Hey everyone, I have tried looking for the answer but, I have a steelseries arctis pro wireless. The Mic is very quiet to other people and when I record myself on audacity it definitely is too quiet.
I've done all the positioning for very little difference.
I've done everything I can using Windows settings as well.
On steelseries gg I'm led to believe I can adjust Mic level.
However all I see is sidetone.
Am I doing something wrong or does this model not allow Mic adjustments ?

The one that shows up as activated is to correct one, the rest are likely "System devices" created by the software for whatever reason. The 7.1 surround is either activated through Engine or is automatic. I've never had to configure any of my SteelSeries devices through the sound control panel except to enable Hi-Res audio. If you can't hear a difference its because either there is none (likely the source audio is stereo only) or because the stereo sound is already so good the the virtual surround doesn't have much to add.

ok. If the headset has worked fine on this PC before, you may need to go into Device Manager and uninstall the Realtek microphone drivers, then reboot. This should reinstall the drivers and hopefully fix the issue. Unfortunately I've had issues like this before where I basically had to do a clean install of Windows to get it to work.

Hey so, I've got a bit of a problem, my Arctis Pro Wireless Game won't make any sound, sidetone works but when I try to play something (let's say on YouTube), it would just stop the video and start stuttering as it is struggling a lot to play sound to my headset. Arctis Pro Wireless Chat though, works fine in terms of sound but sounds a lot worse. It was find a couple of minutes ago, before I went into my GG and turned on 7.1 Surround sound to test if it sounds nice, then it all just stopped working. I tried uninstalling the drivers and restarting my PC multiple times after unplugging the transmitter and nothing seems to work, any ideas?

I'm having an issue. I have the Arctis 7P and on my new laptop it won't play sound on the right side. It still works properly on other computers, just not this one. I've looked online and haven't found anybody else with the same problem. I've already tried restarting and updating the laptop, reconnecting the headphones, I tried downloading the steelseries engine to see if I could fix it from there, I've also tried changing the balance settings in the properties of the headphones, but I'm not given the option to do so. Does anybody know a fix?

Interesting. I have the bug with a USB mic and when it happens to me if it's at full volume it adds like +60db to the gain along with the buzz and doesn't obey any of the filters or EQs applied to it.

The only solution I've found is to do a full re-install of GG, but short of doing that every time the mic breaks the only other option is to not use the Sonar mic until they come out with a fix. I'll get another bug report to the devs for you since you're having the same problem as me just with a different mic

Yeah that's what I'm doing lol. I've had my mic break on me about 3 times now and don't want to have to reinstall the software every other day just to use an EQ. Hopefully it's something they can resolve by the next GG/Sonar update

It should have come with the correct software preinstalled, you can find downloads for it on the MSI website if you wiped it. It may also want to use the Dragon Center software with the MSI "Mystic Light" integration, idk if the newer ones do this or not but I was told on some models that might be how it works.

9X I'm not sure but I think it's standalone, ie everything is done through whatever your computer or console already uses for standard sound devices

Some of my keys are not working properly, when I click them the rgb does respond, but the input isn't somehow send to my pc. I mean the keys are randomly not working idk how to properly explain this. Could this be software issue or hardware?

It may have been a shortcut if it was on the desktop. Try going through the actual install location and adding that way. Moments can sometimes be finicky about "unofficial" games like custom launchers so it's possible Moments just doesn't support it

If reinstalling Engine/GG doesn't fix it then you should contact support for an RMA, it's likely faulty hardware. Just send them the same photos you put here

If you're used to wired headsets with really high quality sound then of course the Wireless modes are going to sound scratchy or grainy, the compression needed for wireless just can't compete with good old analog signal through a wire.

Seeing as how the Pro and Pro Wireless are the only two gaming headsets I know of with high res rated drivers, they're probably the best you can get before going into actual audio professional gear and the really expensive stuff

My brother has them but doesn't seem to have this issue, although he almost exclusively uses Bluetooth. It might be that your cable is slighlty broken or loose

Hey, I got a set of 7p+’s, my first acetic headset, downloaded the gg software and only see a few presets. Immersion and performance aren’t on there… I tried a reinstall of the gg software as well as the drivers and nothing changed.

*my first ARCTIS headset.. also, if I can’t have the presets I don’t mind getting all the values needed to replicate them manually. Can someone show me where to get these presets or know the 10 values needed to make them myself?

The presets that you see are the defaults, everything else you will have to do yourself

Ah, those are the options, ok. That would be the same as the Arctis Pros I have. I honestly just keep them on the Bass Boost setting, I like it best.

i am having issues with my artic 7's. i just bought them a week ago, and suddenly yesterday i wake up and when i play certain games the audio cuts off then comes back then cuts out then comes back etc. But my mic in discord also sounds like its lagging and also cuts off even tho i stay at a constant 14ms. Also when i play crab game it freezes my monitor when the audio cuts out. ive looked on reddit and it said i need to open the configurator apo, which i dont how to do. and if that doesnt work then i dont know what to do after that.
