Hey, just wondering what I should do in this situation that I'm in:
Recently my old pair of Arctis 7s kicked the bucket (problem with the charger port) so I decided to get the headset warranted as it was still under the manufactures warranty. The entire RMA processes was going smoothly until it was time to receive my replacement headset. I chose one of there RMA options that allowed me to keep the current headset until I received my replacement. Steel-series gave me a code to order the replacement headset with and said they would put a hold on my card until I destroyed the old headset, once I destroyed the old headset they would refund the purchase amount of the replacement headset. I ordered my replacement with the code. Once I received my replacement I emailed them as soon as I could to let them know I received the replacement. They told me to proceed with the destruction of the old headset which required me to just put in a bunch of images of proof and then email back. Once I finished the destruction they got back to me and gave me a new code to buy a completely new headset headset even though I already received my replacement. I emailed back and asked about the situation. Its been 2 weeks and they still have not gotten back to me. I still do not have a refund on my card like they original said.

It'll work but since the Apex 3 only has 3 lighting zones and not individually addressable key lighting the images won't have as much detail to them as they would on something like an Apex 7 which has per-key lighting

It's possible although it depends on a number of different factors like whether or not you have other wireless peripherals, whether they are also plugged into the hub, the overall quality of the hub, etc. Generally though it should be fine. I have my dongles for my Arctis 9 and Rival 650 Wireless plugged into the USB 3.0 hub on the back of my monitor and they're working fine

I'd create a separate new support ticket just about the refund issue and explain what happened and resend the destruction photos if/when they ask for them. Although support doesn't work weekends so the earliest you'll get a response is Monday. If support can't help you by creating a new ticket then you should go to your credit card company and request a refund/charge back

Yes, but there most likely won't be support for the microphone.

You can buy Bluetooth Aux Adapter, unless you spend a big amount of money. The battery life will range from 20 minutes to 1 hour

Hi all. So whenever I move between apps/windows on my PC, my keyboard flashes and then goes dark for a moment, like it's reloading the colors and such. Hey, I need help with Rival 3 Wireless mice.Issue started a few days ago when i wanted to start using my mouse.After sleep time mouse lost connection to the dongle and since then its flashing purple colour from led under the scroll. I tried using diffrent pc. Steelseries engine says to reconnect mouse. I did it many times, always without any progress. Also i wanted to re-pair mouse to the steelseries engine but i can't get led to start flashing white its all the time goddamn purple. Looking forward for your answer. Someone can help?

I'm coming over from a very different solution, one could say i'm a bit "set in my ways" as i'm coming over from analogue 5.1 cabled headphones and a dedicated Soundblaster Z sound card to the Arctis Pro DAC. So far I simply can not get anywhere near the profile or "sound stage" I am used to even with DTS or or with this "high def" audio which seems to make little difference. Not to mention how unresponsive this GG software is. I want to give this headset a proper chance but so far I can't get anywhere with it, I am starting to think this usb DAC thing is nothing compared to the features of my dedicated soundcard but I want to be helped otherwise, or proven wrong.

Ok guys. I think I might have found a solution to assist with steel series GG engine messing up audio with the arctus 7. So you have to check your EQ presets and be sure they are on specific ones if you are going to switch between surround sound and stereo. For example the immersion and performance and entertainment are surround sound eqs, while flat and music can be for both stereo and surround sound. I've tested them both and you can switch seamlessly between the two. Hope that helps anyone that comes across this problem.

Also on the subject of the arctus 7, if you change eq presets and it sounds like nothing has changed, just power cycle your arctus 7 and it will update the moment it turns on.

Hey, I have problems with my Arctis 9 headset on PC.
It has been working flawlessly for the last year. I connected it to another PC and since then the sound, after working for a short while (3-5min), suddenly goes away. I can fix it buy switching the channel (from chat to game or vice versa). Afterwards, the sound works again for a short while until it is lost again and I have to switch the channels again.
I have tried contacting the steelseries support but on their website I am just guided by a bot through a stream of tutorials and none of them answer my question. I do, not find a way to actually create a ticket with the support.

If anyone could either help me with the issue at hand or tell me how I can make a ticket I would greatly appreciate that. Thank you in advance.

My issue is I get a crackling sound through the Arctis Wirless 9. I get it through Blue-Tooth through my PC connection and I get it bad through the GameDak thing connected to my PS4 via optical cable. To the point where the connection to sound sometimes cuts out and even bad enough sometimes where it is just completely gone and only a headset restart fixes it. I recently flipped my desk around 180, same exact spot I was but now the wall is behind me, but before then, I had 0 issues ever with this. I have changed the proper audio setting in the Playstation. I have completely erased and restarted the Arctis Game Dak thing and redid the settings. I have used a new optical cable. I have tried various power sources with the Game Dak, to the PC, different USB spots, even just without PC power and regular power and then both. I feel there is an interference somewhere but I have no idea. I have moved my PC around, my PS4 around a bit(can't go too far obviously) so what else can I try to fix/troubleshoot this issue? Is there a setting I don't know about that does something? The crackling noise drives me crazy haha

Hey guys, I'm here cause my rgb lighting on my Pro wired headset hasn't been reacting properly to the settings Ive put in so far. Audio also doesnt have any significant changes despite me changing the equalizer and other settings

I've had enough. My Arctis Pro +DAC and this horrible GG software are infuriating. The software is garbage, it doesn't react instantly to changes, it constantly freezes and slows, switching between DTS:X and HiDef breaks the sound of the PC and it loses the input, the software it self becomes unresponsive not reacting to colour changes, eq change, gain change or sound profiles to the point where the headset gets stuck between what the OLED DAC has and what the software is trying to do. Constantly having to restart PC to "fix it" then it forgets what input is connected, not to mention half the effects on the GG software don't do anything "live" so it's impossible to tell what profile to set. Finally, any software that tells me how to "set my my mouse sensitivity due to this and it'll be better" can do one, my mouse settings are my own and NOTHING do which anyone else so that's out of order it keeps telling me to remove certain sensitivities. Maybe I have a disability in my hand and require a specific level of setup? Did you think about that maybe? No, so shh. Not meaning to be rude here I'm just frustrated. 5 days of fiddling around to no avail is unacceptable I'm afraid, these will be returned and I'll go back to my 10 year old headset and dedicated sound card.

Does anyone is having problem with the non on board profiles on Apex Pro TKL?

When I activate an On board profile, the light is changed correctly, so far there is no problem.

The problem happens when I activate a profile from the "Configurations" tab, for example "Configuration 1", which is set with Base Effect Off, it does not turn off the lights on the keyboard.
I try to fix it by reinstalling the keyboard firmware and it works, but after a little while the problem returns.

Okay, I put on my Arctis Pro Wireless like any other day, never put it on differently, not damaging to the headset as far as I'm aware, and then crack, then it turned off like it had lost power, it disconnected, forcing me to turn it on again, so I checked it, and the piece of plastic joining the swivelling bracket to the earcup has popped out of place, still on there firmly, but not properly, can't push it back into place, kind of annoying.

Yeah it's a thing that happens with the new GG software on everyone's boards now. I think it's the software hooking into the firmware of the board to set the right profiles and settings or something like that

Unless the software is an open source program like OpenRGB then no, the only software your SteelSeries keyboard will work with will be the SteelSeries software

You can also create your own effects, you don't have to use the presets

So, I got the steelseries rival 310 mouse a day ago and I play minecraft, so double clicking switches are good for me, I recently downloaded the Firmware update on the steelseries engine and now the mouse no longer double clicks. Hey you guys, i recently bought an Arctis 7 and it is my first wireless headset, is there a differences in quality of sound and mic compared to the 5(which is wired?) i tried to look up reviews but they seem to say its the same cept for the wire/wireless. is anyone able to share their experience? the reason i ask is because i came from a wired headset (Logitech G35) and i felt the sound quality wasn't as good and my friends tell me i sound more robotic/nasally on the Arctis 7. Hello here, does anyone knows how i can STOP my Artic Pro Wireless from turning off the "computer<->headset" link (the sound it the same as when i turn off the headset) when i'm in a call using my phone+bluetooth.

It's allways the same: i'm connected to my computer AND my phone, listening to music on my computer then i take a call from my phone and after few minutes i hear my headset "turning off". At the end of the call, i can't hear anything from my computer, i have to turn it off and on again, sometimes multiple times before getting back my sound.
And, even if i have "auto urn on bluetooth" is on "on", it never turns on the bluetooth when i start my headset. I have to press manyally on the pairing button (once) to turn it on so my phone recognize it.
i'm on windows 10 pro, fresh install with lastest Steelseries GG.
And it sometimes shows me the battery remaining in the sotfware, sometimes not...

Me: Replied stating the instructions did not help

Me: Provided the requested details and files

Support Agent 1: Essentially just said "we are currently having some system problems" with no further details on how to proceed.

Support Agent 1: Provided no response on the ETA question but did say that I would not be notified and had to just keep trying.
*Three days later and with support soon to the start of the weekend it starts working*
Me: Filled in warranty form
*This creates a new ticket which is assigned to Support Agent 2*
Support Agent 3: Closed the new ticket and merges it into my original ticket with no further response. (Yes, I did mean Support Agent 3)
Me: Asked if I needed to provide more details as the ticket was marked as awaiting a response from me
Support Agent 1: Said they needed photos and sent the same canned response to create an RMA ticket.
Me: Asked about the "specific instructions" they mention for destroying the product but that I was never given.
Support Agent 1: Provided not very specific instructions including one requiring a QR code that I don't have

this is normal. the arctis 3 is an analog headset so it'll use your on-board audio drivers and show up as such. the arctis 3 doesn't work with engine either because of this.

AFAIK, youtube doesn't support surround sound, so any videos you pull up on it won't really work

this is normal, Engine is require to be running for that setting to work. the on board memory will only save basic bindings, like changing a key to press another key.

No. The computer has no way to know it's a "SteelSeries" headset since the 3.5mm connection doesn't carry any other information besides audio information. Check with your computer OEM for any driver updates if you're having issues

I am having an issue, and I have not been able to resolve this on the website. I have an arctis pro wireless that cracked in the same spot I have seen multiple headsets of this type crack that was a manufacturing error. I tried to make an account to register my headset to start an RMA request, but it keeps asking me for a code for an Arctis 3. I have never owned an Arctis 3, and it will not let me register any other code. The thing is, it tells me to break of the right side of my headset (Arctis Pro Wireless) and cut the wires, but I can't, because I still need it for work (it functions enough so that I can still somewhat use it for work. Not if you apply even force when pulling it off. If you're only pulling from side there's a chance it could damage the stabs but if you've gotten the other keys off it should be pretty easy to hold the space bar in the middle from both sides and pull up

My artcis pro wireless suddenly stopped receiving audio from MY pc while I was gaming. Windows gives a signal says the audio is playing. And the headphone is paired up with the DAC and DOES give out audio like the button beeping. I tried checking chatmix, was fine. Restarted, updated drivers and restarted again, no luck.

Any idea what I can do to fix it?

Why am I being treated to malware, dressed up as a GG engine for keyboard, when I turned off auto updates?
Steel series Engine 3 does not ask me to login every time I want to adjust my keyboard config.
GG on the other hand demands I login in order to edit my keys / macros.
How did this make it past quality testing and what is your legal department if I want to sue?

So yes some of you might want to review what you think malware is or isn't, it most definitely is enforced updates that break the thing you originally spent a lot of money on and at this point I lost most of my original key configs due to it happening once before, I reverted to a older version of the steel series software, again ticked do not update and again it updated to GG.

Ok, it's not a random profile. It's the last profile that was assigned to a program that the mouse was switched to. Not the last profile active before shutting down, which is the behavior I want (and the one I get with the keyboard, an Apex 7 TKL).

So, I set the profile I want as default to be assigned to the program that is most often the last I have open.

And so far so good, except sometimes when switching from wireless to wired connection the mouse will lose the ability to interact with some things.
Usually it'll only be able to interact with a singular thing, like earlier I could only click on discord. I could not click on any windows elements or my browser, etc.

Anyone know any possible reason or fixes? I have the latest software and I power off the mouse when switching connection type.

Looking for some help. After the recent firmware update my headset (arctis pro) wont pair with the Transmitter.
Steelseries have asked me to try a few things but nothing worked. And they now wont RMA it as it was over 2 years ago and i bought it with Argos.
They tried to send me an pair-apw.exe to help pair but it wouldn't let me download the file from the email

This is the only one solution i havent been able to try. Does anyone have the exe??

I have a question is it the steelseries software showing that my arctis 7 is lowbat even though ive charged it for 2 hours and the red light stopped showing which means it should be fully charged

but my headphones shows yellow light which isn't supposed to be

Hey everyone. I have issues with my Arctis 7. The "Game Audio" appears to be broken and usually does not play any sounds in windows. When I use "chat" as the default device it works.

So far I have:

• uninstalled the software about 10 times.
• Did a complete uninstall of the software and the drivers with ccleaner.
• Manually "removed" the chat and game audio devices in the device manager
• Used different usb ports
• repaired the headset.

Removing the audio and game devices in windows and restarting the pc and reconnecting it fixes this for a short time. Major problem is that this will stop working after 5-10 Minutes, or when you open up the Engine part of the Software.

Any ideas?

anyone know how to fix my volume knob being funky, when i turn it up or down it sometimes just only works in one ear (right ear) and most of the time i have to find a sweet spot so it plays in both, but even then it slowly goes back to one ear

I'm trying to respond to a support ticket (of which I've had a fair few) only to find this-

All my support tickets (active and previous) are missing

I'm looking at my email right now and I just got a response on a support ticket, but I'm looking on my account and they're all gone

Not a single support ticket is there

Is there someone on discord I can DM about this issue?

I'm not confident that opening a new ticket will be so helpful

SS Customer Service is really going downhill unfortunately. I'm having issues on their site trying to return a headset within the month allotted.

No return form is displayed to start the RMA.

Time to look elsewhere for headsets.

Honestly, the customer service is like 85% the reason I try to get as much of my setup steelseries as possible

Another 10% is the software

The only gripe I have is that the mouse I want doesn't exist yet under Steelseries
