Okay so I've had this headset. The Arctis Pro + GameDAC and I've had issues with it ever since.
For playing $230, this shit is dysfunctional.
I contacted support shortly after getting it because there were several different problems all at once.
FIrst, GameDAC Game. The audio channel didn't show up unless I unplugged the device and plugged it back in.
Second, open first booting up the device. The mic quality would just be bass boosted to hell and back.
Third, talking into the mic after getting Speakers (GameDAC Game) to show up would result in all audio from the headset completely going silent.
I'm still not done.
Fourth, I would have to unplug this headset 3 to 7 times for it start working as advertised.
And now my fifth and final problem. It is now not responding to options I change in Steelseries Engine.
Also sixth.
I've factory reset it, I've turned off "Fast Startup" and I've uninstalled drivers.
My return window closed as I finally got the damn password for the Amazon account.
I'm stuck with this headset and I just want it to work.

I'm having a problem with my Arctis 9x. Whenever I try to play RDR2, the audio is perfectly fine. But if I join a discord call with some of my friends, I can't hear any audio at all. I can hear the audio from the discord call, but not the game. This is the only game I have this problem with, and I've been unable to find a solution anywhere else.

If so, that's bluetooth for you.
You can't use the mic and get high quality audio at the same time. If you want to you need to get an xbox controller adapter.

Hi, I've recently got a brand new Arctis 5 (2019).
It seems to have a really bad USB connectivity with my Acer Nitro 5 (AMD Ryzen) laptop. The sound appears fuzzy and drops out.
I've tested with other laptops and it seems to work fine.
Went to send the laptop in for service thinking maybe it's the I/O Board problem.
They've done several test such as changing the motherboard and formatting the SDD, still can't fix.
So they managed to get the same exact laptop model as mine to test, it had the same problem as well. But when they tried with the same laptop using an NVIDIA, it works fine.
- So it may have been a software/firmware compatibility issue??
Is there perhaps some SteelSeries-AMD support that isn't iron'd out yet?

I was using my Arctis 5s with my laptop (Ryzen 7 3750H and a GTX 1650) for a couple years without issues, and now I'm using them with my desktop system which has a Ryzen 9 5900X and an RX 6800XT and have never had any issues with audio on either system

Probably. Honestly I would be willing to bet it was some glitch on Acer's side of things (rather than AMD or Nvidia) that caused the issue. Especially since up until very recently (and especially with first gen Ryzen mobile), laptop manufacturers were still treating AMD chips as the cheap alternative when it comes to buying laptops

I recently bought the 7x headset and love everything about it except for the microphone. My friends all complain about the quality of the mic on Xbox. So I decided to test it with a friend and without telling him what headset was in he thought my old headset sounded much better. This is really disappointing as my old headset was a very cheap pair of Turtle Beaches. They say that the mic has static sound whenever I speak.
I tested my headset with a friend over Discord on my laptop and he said it was crystal clear. So the microphone issue seems to be solely to do with the xbox. I have tried different USB slots and even tried it on my old xbox and there was the same issue. I appreciate that wireless mics may not be as good as a wired mic, but they said my mic actually sounded worse when wired straight into the controller compared to wireless.
Can anyone give me any tips or feedback on how to get the best microphone quality out of 7x on the Xbox?

Unless you want some custom keycaps like HyperX puddings, you can purchase a keycap set for Apex keyboards directly from the SteelSeries site and replace them yourself. If you don't want to do that, SteelSeries may offer a 30 day return policy for products but I'm not entirely sure. Best thing you can do is to contact official support on the website and see what they can do for you.

Contact SteelSeries support and see about RMAing the headset. As long as you have your proof of purchase (receipt/order number) and bought it from an official reputable retailer and some random dude on ebay then you get a 1 year warranty for the US and any country outside of the EU and a 2 year warranty for countries inside the EU from time of purchase.

My mic randomly stopped working on my Pro Wireless, i can still hear through the sidetone and if i connect with bluetooth the mic works fine, i have reinstalled the steel series engine twice and rebooted atleast 5 times now and still can't get it to work.
In windows sound settings where you can test your mic, theres no sound.
Nevermind, it was just windows updating and it 'unset as default' even though i made it default multiple times...

@tender tundra for Discord set the output to "Arctis Pro Wireless Certified". It's the same as the Chat channel, it shows up as certified inside of Discord. I usually leave my Game channel as my default output on my Arctis 5s, but I also don't have external speakers that I use often. Like Saucy said you should set the Game and Chat channels for different applications so you can control the volume levels with the ChatMix on the base station.

I assume you've checked the game chat balance and outputs? Same thing happened to me, but was solved by a reset so give that a go.

ok i think its working now - I restarted my computer again after using the reset button on the headset and it seems to be cooperating now
that was bizarre. Occasionally after booting from sleep things get messed up and I have to do a hard restart of my computer to fix it, but ive never had anything beyond that happen

When you wake up take off the ear padding stuff on the side of the headset that doesn’t have a mic, there’s a reset switch in there you can press down for 20 seconds and then reconnect and try again

dude if it would be that much easy to solve i would figure this out by using google. it has permissions to run in windows 10 task manager, also startup checkbox in settings is activated. but still, program won't run automatically, i'm starting it from shortcut. oh btw adding shortcut to system startup apps folder doesn't work as well

the first time i contacted support they said try startup shortcut folder, task manager, program reinstall, etc. when i said all those basic things didn't help they just ignored my next response. like, they did sent something, their work was done, ticket closed, go ahead to next one 😦

dude if it would be that much easy to solve i would figure this out by using goo...
search up "startup" in the windows search bar and "startup apps" settings option should appear. click that and check if the app is there. if it is, enable it. if it isn't, i'm afraid you'll have to get help from somewhere else as i don't know what other options to use. good luck!
