Hello I've just received my Arctis 5 headphones. When I connect them to my pc via USB the mic is not working. I've checked all the online tutorials with no success. I thought to try with connecting the headset directly to pc with 3.5mm cable and mic is working perfectly. So somehow the problem is when I connect them through the chat game volume nob. Any ideas?

I would check that the seller is actually giving a 12 month warranty and is not just copy/pasting the warranty info from SteelSeries, since SS would say it's not under warranty.

Today I was doing the new firmware update and i got an error in the middle which stopped the update and disconnected my headset from the AMP, i cant reconnect it/re-pair it anymore as my sound wheel button never tended to work in first place as it was not opening chatmix like it was supposed to... 7X doesn't have dolby on board, so if it's on then it's on the console/system it's plugged into, so you need to find where that is on the console and turn it off

Hi, just received my Arctis Pro Wireless. The headset I think works fine, it's the Transmitter. When I plug it into my PC there's nothing. I've tried different cables and have tried plugging it into the wall just incase and nothing has happened

Hi folks, can anyone point me to UK support channel via social or ideally voice? Just acquired an issue with an arctis pro wireless headset that I rely on for work - no t in a position to wait for a ticket reply (its suggesting 3 business days). Issue is the mute constantly toggleing on and off for 20 seconds plus randomly mid conference calls. Headset is about 8 months old, previously working fine. physically toggling the switch multiple times 'fixes' it at random until it does it again a few moments later.

I got my new Arctis Pro wireless today and it seems like the bluetooth doesnt work
whenever bluetooth activates i can only hear it on the left earcup, the right one either doesnt work or it shows the computer sounds
i already reinstalled the software and i also tried using bluetooth without the computer just my phone and the headset and the problem persists
what is also odd: whenever bluetooth turns off i get a loud BUMP in my left earcup

Arctis 3 just tends to start crapping out a bit after a while
try it again or open another ticket showing proof of the rma done and then the order being cancelled
a screenshot of the code before you check out would've helped too
they also had warehouse maintenance to do from march 3-10 so they might have had to cancel it or re schedule it as it was an rma order

No, the only thing that's working is the live mic preview
do you have a VPN installed like NordVPN? there's a bug right now that 7.1 surround and EQ changes won't apply when there's a VPN installed

np. I've heard that other users have had luck keeping the VPN installed but going into Windows and disabling some VPN feature, but I don't know if I can find those posts again, so if you wanna keep the VPN you may need to do some more digging.

i made the ticket in the order help one, since it didn't really apply to the warranty tab anymore since my warranty has technically been fufilled..

I got offered to replace my Rival 700 by SS once but I couldn't get over the fact that I had to peel back the buttons like fingernails and didn't have a replacement mouse (still don't have a worthy replacement, the €5 cheap mouse is not usable for gaming)
So Meh, attempting to fix the thing myself, but trying to figure out how to get the oled cable back in its socket

Hi guys, anyone had issues with their Arctis headset and windows? I'm trying so hard and it doesn't work, most of the time the "Arctis 7 Chat" doesn't work.. sometimes it only works if I set communication on it, sometimes it works normally, sometimes just nothing outputs from it.. I don't know how it works. And sometimes it makes my games crash because there's no sound correctly configured or something
In fact right now no sound comes out of the "Game" part, and if I try to launch a game with my sound set on "Game" It'll make the games crash

thanks! After unsuccessfully doing it, I realized by restarting my computer that voicemeeter was likely causing some crap interfering with the steelseries engine.. it works now! Now my only issue is getting the Peace APO EQ thingy to work with Game, I installed it for both Game and Chat, and in the GUI I'm applying it to every device, but it only works on the Chat one

Bro I've had the arctis Pro for 2 years now and it broke so I bought a new one and ever since getting the new one the top of my head has been so so so painful like almost a burning pain, to the point where it's even hurting 2hrs+ after wearing it. I've tried tons of different tightness configurations on the ski band and regardless of how i have it, it ends up hurting after around an hour. Had it for a month now and can't figure out what's happening. I thought I could get used to it but it's still hurting.

There are better headsets that work with Xbox, the Arctis Pro will only work when wired into the controller, which bypasses any headset features

yeah those problems all point to the drivers just needing to be reinstalled
so long as the device wasnt thrown, dropped multiple times, etc i doubt a hardware problem would be the source

these headsets are kinda meant more for gaming than handling high bass sound, for those i recommend bose or something of that nature as they're alot more tailored to handle taht

So many settings have been reset

Analog attenuators are never going to be perfectly matched. At low volumes (when the resistance is high) the difference between channels can be slightly more noticeable.
The recommendation is to have the system volume set in such a way that your headset volume is above 50% most of the time." I forgot to mention this is from the steelseries website and you should ensure that the headset scroll wheel is set to max and then accommodate with the windows volume settings to fit preference instead of messing with the wheel because thats what makes it sound louder on one side
thats probably your reason, try reinstalling the drivers because after an update or complete rework alot of devices can stop functioning
also the monitor audio should probably be turned off to cancel out any possible interference
then thats a problem with the game settings, right in steelseries engine you can change the bass and aqi settings if they're too loud or low
that is defo not a game bug.. as I said, I had a good pair of bose before and the game sounded crisp and nice in every range of sound. And I'm really not an audiophile, so for me to notice it that bad it's not some light changes.. and it happens with everything too, not just a localized game thing
And I'm trying to find good EQ settings for them, but every thread I find talk about how trash the steelseries engine is to deal with audio and that the Equalizer APO is way better (Disclaimer, I don't know how EQ's work), issue being that for some reason, the EQ doesn't want to apply to the game side of the headset, only to the "Chat" output.. so I'm trying to find a solution.

The only difficulty with this is that the volume on desktop is permanently set to 100

So in simple terms the signal level and signal type of the headphone cups have to be different even in the slightest to protect the headphones and provide the best quality
This is rarely noticeable on higher volumes because you don’t hear it as much as you would if it was lower

@last shale I deleted all the drivers for the steel series and updated my windows but I still sound like I’m hella far does that mean my mic is broken? if it is it never buying this mic because I’ve never broken a mic in my life except for wires bitten by my dog never in my life so I will definitely not be buying this mic brand anymore

If I disconnect it and plug back in it works perfectly, but it's every time I boot up my system

You might want to try and use Steelseries GG instead of Engine 3, for most people that had problems with their things it usually worked and it might work for you too. The download link is https://steelseries.com/gg

I just have so many critical problems with my Arctis Pro Wireless software wise it's pretty crazy

Activating the playback/recording devices will start conflicting between devices (by switching device standard back and forth, deactivating and activating)
Steelseries Engine 3 and Steelseries GG acts differently, somehow when ever I go to Steelseries GG there is a firmware and additional update, but the firmware update takes forever
I did reinstalling, troubleshooting, uninstalling drivers and nothing fixes it

It failed at about half way, and the transmitter now appears as the Avnera device etc

I don't have that issue, but I have an issue where my playback/recorder devices starts conflicting and deactivating and activating non-stop when i activate one of the steelseries audio devices, if you have seen the video I have posted

issue should be fixable, because both my headset and transmitter are connected and detected by the computer, so it can redo the firmware.
In my case, I think what happened is the firmware has been updated on the transmitter, but not the headset, so they arent communicating now.

I think they would be, there is plenty of commentary on the net, and their own support FAQ contains steps that can be taken to fix the issue

Got a pair of Arctis 7 headset for my birthday. For some reason either the device or software is causing a conflict with Arma 3 which causes it to crash.

i just got a pair of arctics 1 wireless that work on ps4 ps5 android switch and PC and i am trying to use them on PC, the sound comes through fine and i have downloaded the drivers but when i try to talk into the microphone it will not pick up any sound at all. Ive had a pair of Arctis 9x for a labout 4 months now, yesterday all of a sudden the light on my Artcis was a frozen blue when its normally blinking and I couldnt hear sound. Saw that I needed to reset them and did just that and was able to get them unfrozen BUT now my left ear headphone plays no sound only the right ear. Any solutions?

You do not have the proper mic drivers for your headset
The arctis pro wireless has one dongle that can be used on one device and all of such function, but cannot be used on both a pc and Xbox

Not really, I assume you've checked in the engine if there are any available firmware updates available? It would show up as a bar under the headset in the gear menu.

man we can not use it in the office. The reason we decreased this value is that the scanning speed in mice is higher than the speed of the pc, so the slightest movement means -10 FPS. Those who have 60-75 Hz monitors and use old generation graphics cards can set the Polling Rate value to 500.

I just got home and my arctis pro wireless no longer shows up in my pc devices and the steelseries engine has decided it is not connected. The transmitter still shows the icon for the headset with a fully charged battery, I've made sure all my drivers are updated I've reinstalled the steelseries engine, removed the transmitter and done a full reset and then paired it again.

the actuation on the oled screen works when editing it right? so you open up the setting and change it to a lower thing and it works while the screen is up, but as soon as you press the wheel in to save it goes back to five?

Recently my Arctis Pro Wireless stopped outputting audio on the Game output and now only works on the Chat output. This is really annoying as the chat output is only mono making playing games very hard. I am on the newest firmware
Side note: Whenever I change my output device to the game output, the windows settings options to change app volume individually flash in and out of being there for about a minute, alongside videos just won't play, not on youtube/twitch, or even local videos.

hm ok, so i have the steel series pros with the mix amp, havent played my pc in a few days, last time i did they were fine, turn it on today and the mix amp is flashing from the steel series logo to a clurry line, its connecting and disconnecting from my pc, i have unplugged it moved usb ports etc, nothing works, uninstalled drivers tried uninstalling and reinstalling steelseries engine but it wont install properly now
Okay so I just got the Arctis Pro Wireless. Sound is overall great, but there's one problem. When I connect it via Bluetooth to my phone (LG G8 ThinQ running Android 10), it keeps turning the volume up and down on phone at random. Is there a fix for this?
No fix for something that's intentional, as long as the headset is turned on & connected to the transmitter while also being connected to your phone via Bluetooth, this will happen. It's from the transmitter & the bluetooth volumes communicating. Whenever there's any kind of volume change from your phone, notification, YT video changing, it's going to readjust itself.

It saves all of it. Pooling rate, keybinds, and 5 different sensitivities to toggle through. That’s what it says on its site.
Your presets also save automatically if you have a SS account I believe

Yeah I’d create an account if you haven’t already, make sure your settings are right, then download SSE3 on the other computer you want to use, sign in, and it should work

My issue was that my Arctic 7's randomly stopped outputting audio, I fixed it by going into the searchbar>device manager>sound,video, and game controllers>uninstall device (I uninstalled Arctic 7 Chat)> restart computer, starting working instantly but you have to re apply all your settings for it

if you're on mac, make sure that Engine has access to your input monitoring in your security settings

if engine/GG isn't prompting for one then it thinks you're up to date and won't allow you to force an update.

Hi, all, I'm searching for this issue, but I haven't seen it from the search terms I've used. I have both Arctis Pro Wireless headset and Apex Pro KB, and am using SS GG (just updated to v18). Only 1 Engine app added, System monitor.
After a clean install, SM app displays correctly on both OLEDs. But after a while, the display on the Arctis OLED doesn't display SM info correctly (everything else in Arctis OLED displays correctly). SM Info displays correctly on Apex OLED.
Things I've tried this far:
Removing and re-adding SM app
Removing GG and installing older SS engine app
Enabling Beta versions of GG
removing all items from SM individually for arctis and re-adding them in
Anything else I can try?

Ryzen systems have a lot of trouble with system monitor, like crashing or not displaying correct info, so it's probably related to that
Bah. Just weird that it works perfectly fine on the Apex adn not the Arctis lol
Guess I'll turn it off for the Arctis and leave it on for Apex and roll with it. Thanks for the heads up.

I do also know if that if you have other apps turned on in GG it can cause issues with the APW screen, so you can check that as well
All off - only SM is on - that's what I meant when I mistakenly wrote "installed" above.
And apparently I can't turn it on for individual OLEDs - it's either on or off. Bah. I'll just start looking a the KB OLED.

nah, on PS4 it worked because you were able to output game audio over optical and chat audio over USB, but now that the PS5 doesn't have optical there's no way to do it natively.

Spamming your ticket just resets your place in your agent's response que with each message so you're basically just putting yourself at the bottom of the list every day lol

then when they finally responded you're talking to a bot and not a real person, so
You were also one of the people Klex offered to help with your ticket so that's why you got a response. The spamming doesn't help anything
hopefully a person responds next time, and not a bot
the only automated reply you should get is an acknowledgement

Anyone know how to fix the headset saying Reconnect?
Unplug and replug if needs be try a different usb port or delete the drivers and reinstall them.
I deleted the drivers, I did a New USB port and if you mean unplug and replug the charger from the headset or the wireless port I did that as well.
Yeah this is out of the blue, I was listening to spotify, go away and now I can't even turn it on

it probably says to reconnect since the headset isn't on. if the item isn't greyed out then it's detecting the dongle but not the headset.

if the headset light isn't turning on that sounds more like an issue with the headset, not really with the drivers. the headset should still turn on even without a dongle nearby or anything.
so i updated my arctis pro and I cannot get it to reconnect to the base FIXED

Im having an issue with the surround sound on my arctis pro (wired) regular dial dac, ive tinkered with tons of settings to try and get the surround sound to work, but no luck, would i need the gamedac to get the true surround sound out of it?
