I managed to fix my issue, my motherboard (Asus Rog Maximum Xi) uses Realtek + Sonic Studio/Radar 3. I uninstalled everything to do with Realtek and redownloaded the latest from ASUS. Afterwards I went into the MSFT Store and there was an update for Sonic Studio&Radar 3. After a reboot it started working as expected 🙂
Might be worth checking if your drivers use another program too that may need updating such as Sonic Studio/Radar, Dolby etc

reds are great for pro gaming, with quick response and low noise. Browns are awesome if you want to feel when the key clicks, but don't want the noise, so these are great for typing. Blues are for people who like really loud, clicky keyboards.

I sent this the other day but it was late so not sure if anyone knowing the answer was on. My arctis 7 headset has a delay only on the game output setting. Chat is fine but when im playing a game and I shoot, or if I press a button that makes noise, it has a delay. This is especially annoying because game has better audio than chat and I would much rather use game because of that, but sometimes I have to use chat so I don't have a delay. Is this normal or do I need to fix something?
Also sometimes I will turn on the headset and I will hear this weird high pitched buzzing noise. It goes away after turning it off and on again but it's still weird

weird problem i've encountered that seems to related to the USB > PS5 connection for my Arctis Pro Wireless.
I'm getting audio clipping with bass notes - particular noticeable within Hitman 3 Berlin nightclub level - it's very very bad
if i switch to optical connection (TV > arctis base station) - the sound is ok, but i loose 3d audio, and mic/chat usage.
it's not clipping exactly, but it's scratchy/distortion when it's loud bass notes.

That might be a pc issue, not a headset issue. I have the arctis 3 and I've had it for almost 2 years and I don't have that issue. Have you maybe tried plugging in a different headset to see if it is still the same? And even if it is a headset issue, you prob just got a lemon, that's not a general issue with every Arctis 3 @tender rapids

its not normally due to that but due to the tubing not being warm enough to completely flatten out after it was rolled up

my QCK XL had a ripple on only the bottom, and was significantly dimmer there too. Since I bought it secondhand (so no warranty to begin with) I opened it up and figured out that the fiber optic wasn't properly seated, fixed that and both problems were solved. I'm just mentioning this because other people might come across the same issue.

My Arctis 7s make the beep sound when they connect and the light on the transmitter goes static like it should but the engine says "not connected" and I don't get audio. The USB "malfunctioned" and in device manager it says "device descriptor request failed" I have tried unplugging and plugging, firmware resets, uninstalling and reinstalling the engine, uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers. I have also tried it on a different pc and it doesn't work. I haven't been able to find anyone with my issue. I submitted a support ticket which has yet to be answered so I came here for help.

"device descriptor request failed" is an error that usually happens when the USB chip that handles data protocols goes bad
I've only ever had one dongle (not SteelSeries) do that
but that particular issue isn't something you can fix, you just have to replace the whole dongle (or whatever usb device it is)

Assuming that the one that you have at home is an actual qck rgb mouspad that uses a two channel lighting node, then all you need is to warm it up and place heavy objects on top, or bend it in an inverse direction to the bend

The problem is, a USB chip can work just fine in the factory, but it might have an issue where it overheats after too much use or have some other issue that the factory cannot possibly test for, so even if it's a faulty unit the factory has no way to know that.

My headset (Steelseries Arctis 9x) literally just kicked the bucket after taking care of it like it was a child, I think I got a bad one because I had been having connection issues and dropping connection on me randomly, I did everything I could to fix the problem and none of it worked. So on November 30th, 2020 I went and contacted Steelseries Support and had my entire case looked over and everything. It is now January 26th, 2021 and as I was playing Xbox I turned up my headset's overall volume and I heard a loud thump and my right earphone and mic no longer even worked in the slightest. The last I heard from Steelseries Support was from a supervisor Ron P. Chula on December 31st, 2020. They gave me the steps of what to do and everything. I gave him all the information he needed and I haven't heard anything since then, I'm extremely fed up that after I bought a $200 headset that I just get ignored without response. I only say this here because I feel as if I am completely out of options and the headset I have is currently in the trash because it is useless to me now. This is my last call for help. @rugged adder I'd use cotton swab and rubbing alcohol for the feet and maybe use an aircompressor or canned air for the inside. To my knowledge, everything is covered with a plastic coating so you shouldn't be able to ruin anything like that

I'm just going to return it from where I got it from as there is a known issue with the series x and this headset so ill just plug a wire into my arctis wireless pro with the dac that I use for my ps5 as that headset is much better anyway and I'll deal with a wire plugged into my xbox pad till I can find another headset for my xbox that won't mess me about lol

This "sorta" happened to me once... It wasn't a shortcut for me on my desktop but I was able to access it through startup, but that whole "uninstalled itself" is weird but besides that I say it's pretty common.

The odd thing is that I can see the mic output going down to the 0 setting within the audio menu setting when I mute the mic via headset. But it's not picking up audio either way

TBH most USB driven head sets are poor for sound reproduction... I've gone to headphones pluged into the DAC on the motherboard and running it through a headphone tube amp... for mic I went to a XLR condenser mic... just really not many good options for head phones. IMHO just because they use 3.5 the arctis 3 is hard to beat if you have a good audio DAC... Those are the ones I choose for my laptop and on the go use.

I think there's a way to factory reset the board. Should say so in the manual. I don't have an Apex board myself otherwise I'd tell you how. If it isn't in the manual try looking online. If a reset doesn't fix it then make an official ticket in #official-support

I even deleted my spotify configuration but it is still on the spotify configuration for some reason. The polling rate is how often the mouse tells your pc where it is on the screen so if you have a higher polling rate it will be smoother when you move your mouse
