My Steelseries Arctis 3 headset has a weird thing , is that sometimes the sound becomes louder , and whenever someone speaks on vc it mutes the game sound itself and I can only hear the voice of whoever is speaking on mic till he stop talking

Its like the sounds are jumbled together

Using two separate digital sound processing technologies concurrently is ill-advised and leads to serious distortion and degradation.

Due to a number of our valued customers experiencing issues using both SteelSeries Engine and Windows surround technologies, we've decided to pursue the simple route, and advise users to use the built-in Windows version.

To activate surround functionality with Arctis 3:

Right-click the Windows Speaker Icon in the bottom right of your screen (you may need to expand the toolbar to see it).

@tender rapids or because I was dragged to do something else, I genuinely believe that the issue is how it is being connected to the computer

If you have an issue with the product, return it. If you dont like it, return it. If the headset works on another device but not your pc then there is definitely an issue with either the splitter that you are using or how the splitter is connected to the PC

Hello guys, I have a questions. I just received Aerox3 wireless. It works fine before i upgrade to newer driver for wireless. Now neither bluetooth nor wireless working. Only wire is working. I did try to click on red banner for upgrade but the "star button" grey out and i cant click on it. Can anyone please help to troubleshoot it? thanks

No worries. Search "device manager" from the Windows search down on your taskbar, open it and look for "Mice and other pointing devices"

Click on the little drop down arrow next to that and select the mouse, right click, then select uninstall device and then restart the PC

If you unplug the device and refresh the Device Manager, it will remove the driver of that mouse, you should then be able to go through each Driver and check the properties finding the driver number. Once located in each device, plug your mouse back in and confirm the different driver.

Potentially the cable has either a lose wire or is broken. You could potentially try a different 3.5 - 3.5 and test the AUX port on headset.

@mental vigil since SteelSeries uses that special cable the only way to get another one would be from the SteelSeries site. The best thing you can do if you've already tried it on other devices is to make a ticket through #official-support if the headset is still under warranty and see what they can do for you

are we all kind of just waiting for an update?
@tender rapids supposed to be an update coming out. But it really doesn't fix anything. Splitter is the only way if you want to use DAC for mixing audio. Right now all the splitters only support up to 4k 60hz (which is enough right now). But once monitors come out with 2.1 hdmi and more games with 120hz 4k then we'll need a better solution, maybe a splitter that supports hdmi 2.1.

@tender rapids actually, I'm corrected... Most splitters are only up to 2K/1440p 60hz. Not 4k. I think the astro splitter might support 4k. I have the insignia splitter and it doesn't.

@west roost Hey, I have an Arctis 3 as well and the best solution I could find was to go to discord settings and set your audio transmitter to auto. Should be the slider thing or whatever it’s called. If not I’m not too sure what to say

Right now it got stuck after i removed, restart, and re-plug the mouse and dongle back to the PC. I cant click the "Start"button to update the firmware.
@dreamy pasture @lunar geyser anyone find a fix for this as I'm having the same issue, the mouse firmware updated but it doesn't let me click start (greyed out) for the dongle firmware, which has of course stopped the mouse working wirelessly. I've even tried using a second USB-C cable to have both connected at the same time, run as Admin etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Got an arctis 7p headset

it's failing to connect to the receiver from SteelSeries engine despite both headset being detected and receiver by the pc.

tried my laptop did not work reinstalled drivers checked usb ports to make sure power was always on

#

so I thought I'll try plugging it into my desktop all fresh with the drivers and all and it picks up both USB's and starts installing the drivers then I get nothing from steel series engine.

@tender rapids good idea. I play on monitor so no optical. I'm just going to use the systems mixer until a better solution. At some point I'll be playing in 4k 60/120 and the current splitters won't get it done.

having a real issue with this because I use them on my PS4 and plan on using them on PS5 when if I can order one when it launches in europe.

but the headset needs a PC to be able to connect the headset to the receiver....

Hello, Ive had my steelseries arctis 7 wireless for about a year and today I went in my garage with it on and it disconnected. This happens alot it disconnects when out of range however it wont turn back on. The bluetooth disk piece wont turn on and my headset wont reconnect to my ps4

but i fixed that with a way that i can't understand , i just took out the cable from my pc then took out all of the cables that we use (analog etc) and then i installed back , restarded pc . tbh nothing happened . then i closed the 7.1 thing from the engine , then opened again . itx fixed . i still do not understand

@tender rapids After searching a little bit, some things are telling me that you must connect with the TYPE-C USB extension with the TYPE -C transmitter(dongle) connected and plug it into the PC. They say thats how it became recognizable in the software that way

From there, select Headset Earphone Arctis 5 Chat and click Properties. Go to the Advanced tab and click the dropdown menu for the quality and select 16 Bit 44100Hz

The headset work fine if I'm using WiFi connection

But if I use LTE, whenever the phone download something (like loading youtube video), I get a lot of disconnection/reconnection when playing

I tested with 2 phones, Note 8 and Note 9, and the same behavior occur

Wifi 5Ghz no issue, LTE has issue

#

The phone antenna located at the bottom so I suspect interference with 2.4 Ghz band

#

I tried plug in an extension cable, it does seem to solve the issue if I place the receiver far from the phone

#

But the moment I put it closer to the phone it happen again

#

All in all, it kinda messy with the extension cable so I don't think that an ideal solution.

#

I wonder if it's a known issue that they acknowledge and will release firmware fix to modify the 2.4 Ghz channel

The backlight of my keyboard on my laptop (MSI raider GE66) went out and i am unable to turn them back on? Hi guys,

I wanted to open a ticket but since the Sensei Raw is discontinued I'm trying it here:

My Sensei Raw suddenly freezes when I start a video or sound files (not always but most of the time) no matter which player, no matter which file format. Today it also happened when windows explorer was started.

A reconnect get's it back to work.

I can't see any windows events in the events history and I can't see usb events.

SteelSeries Engine 3 is installed. Today I tried to fix it with SEEFix 1.27 (the latest version I found) but it did't help.

Is there anything I can do?

i had issues with the fireware update for the dongle but just tried it now and its worked...

ive only had it since saturday and havent used it much due to an issue with firmware that has only just resolved itself

what issues have people been having with the feet?

i use a hard mouse pad not a cloth one so dont think i'll have snagging issuers

try updating the firmware for the dongle again its just worked for me now for some reason

Hi. So i just got my rival 500. I was wondering, in assigning mouse buttons what function is it to have it sinulate a constant press of the alt button? Like if i'm in photoshop and have a function assigned to left alt, is there a way i can set the mouse up so i press and hold that mouse button while i drag my brush?

I need help with my Stratus Duo, whenever I play rocket league it occasionally connects to 2nd player when I dont want it to, and whenever I turn it off and turn it back on it reconnects as 2nd player. Only solution is signing out and back in and clicking reconnect button

I know the keyboard is very quiet out of the box...But i want to make it quieter...Becouse my microphone is very sensitive...And can still pick up the clicks

I heard that installing O-rings and maybe changing keycaps helps

And i found some people on internet saying...That HyperX pudding keycaps really make difference in the noise

ive never heard about the keycaps making a difference, but I've heard multiple times that o ring dampen the sound

and if you dont want to install o rings

there should be some mic settings you can use to help with it

So i got my Pro wirelesses yesterday and i had an issue, and i fixed it by clicking some buttons relating to the surround sound in the sse. the headset is connected to the transmitter box, and the box is connected to my pc, I just cant hear anything. i have no clue why, any help?

I dont know what i did but i might of fixed it, my mic quality is really bad though... it echos. i dont know whats happening. what should i do

I can't open the steelseries engine. Everytime I click on it, the loading wheel just shows up beside my mouse and disappear. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling, but it still has the same results. Anyone can help?
