The Arctis 3, 5, 7, and Pro are the same size I think. The only different one is the Arctis 1 because it has a normal headband instead of the ski band that the other headsets use

it looks like the quest 2 has a 3.5mm jack on the side, so i'd say so as long as you're using that connection. not sure how well it will handle audio when using the PC link cable/using the headset over USB
@tulip totem Wouldn't the PC be using the same settings that have come from the DAC? Or would I need to have the headphones in the audio output?

I'd always advise getting the component from the actual manufacturer and if they are out of stock and will notify you, I'd say it would be best to wait for the email. Support might have more information of when the item might be back in stock @honest solar

Rival 3 Wireless
I set the DPI switch button, to switch between Engine configs instead. Made 3 configs, 1000hz with bright orange RGB, 250hz with dim orange RGB and 125hz with RGB off. So when I'm on Config 1, dpi button changes to config 2 and so on it loops.

Problem is.. Changing from 1000hz to 250hz gives no problems. But when switching from 250hz dim orange RGB to 125hz RGB off, it kind of mixes the two configs and glitches out. It keeps the RGB on, and also the Smart Illumination still works, but the mouse switches to 125hz just fine. So it's like a weird mix between the two configs

Also, having High-Effiency on a profile totally glitches everything. The mouse can't connect after turning it on.. but I just manually put 125hz instead

my mouse lights dont work. when i change the color and right after i click save, my mouse lights turn white (no matter what color i try to change it to) for .5 seconds. also when i try to change my illumination effect from "Steady" to any other effect that is available (except "Disable Illumination") this screen pops up

My Rival 3 Wireless is also kinda glitchy, in regards to changing between different settings in SSE. Power saving mode completely bricks the mouse until re-paired, and sometimes it mixes up two configs into one weird config, when switching between configs

Personally I've been using the Arctis 5 for 8 months now and absolutely love them. The DTS virtual surround sound and ability to tweak the EQ through the engine is fantastic for getting just the right sound you want

Surround sound is handled through the Engine and the ChatMix (which is just a USB sound card that handles processing)

You can technically get surround sound on the 3s through Windows Sonic but Windows Sonic is one of if not the worst implementations of virtual surround sound out there

And no, at least not for gaming it doesn't drown anything out. I can still hear the tiniest sound (assuming the game I'm playing has good sound design) in surround sound same as stereo. I can just tell where things are much better in surround

As far as consistency and color across the LEDs go it's just as good any SS mouse or KB and PrismSync is great for having effects span all your peripherals, but I keep all my gear a solid color because I don't like rainbow puke lol

@chilly beacon last time that happened with the small one I had, Like @trim summit suggested, try putting something heavy on it, for atleast over night, you’ll get improvements, make sure it’s larger then the actual curve since you don’t want another separate curve to appear

The Artic 7 mic is fairly good, but not perfect, far from, it can be muffled, but that might be because of extra things on the mic itself, food, dust, etc. can affect the quality.

@jagged heath I had same problem, out of the box it's almost like they are configured to suck. once you go through the setup you need to open the steelseries engine, close the stupid popup, double click the stupid huge bar to open up another stupid UI, hit audio on the left mot "tab". Turn on everything. Crank Bass Enhancement and Dialogue enhancement right up and it should start to sound like any other normal pair of headphones. Turn Gain to HIGH too.

Old/Failing Motherboard
Misuse [Throwing It, Slamming it on a desk
Liquids [If they get in the ports]
Jamming a wire into the headphones
Incorrectly pressing the on/off button [It takes times]
Not charging it [if your headphones are completely dead (uncharged) they will show no light .
Compatibility [Shouldn’t be a huge issue but still there

Your last resort to any item you own should be to hard ware reset it, it’s not a huge deal with headphones but you’re going to have to reconnect them to every device.

@tender rapids If you haven't already, turn on night mode in Siege's audio settings. Makes footsteps louder at the cost of making gunshots a bit quieter I believe. As for EQ, its perfectly fine for me, I haven't really touched it other than setting it to performance.

Basically, night mode makes the game a bit more friendly to play at night so you aren't blasting your ears out, but its fantastic regardless and everyone should have it on because of the fact everything is more, flat, I guess, and makes footsteps much more audible.

Faulty ports
Old/Failing Motherboard
Misuse [Throwing It, Slamming it on a desk
Liquids [If they get in the ports]
Jamming a wire into the headphones
Incorrectly pressing the on/off button [It takes times]
Not charging it [if your headphones are completely dead (uncharged) they will show no light .
Compatibility [Shouldn’t be a huge issue but still there

Your last resort to any item you own should be to hard ware reset it, it’s not a huge deal with headphones but you’re going to have to reconnect them to every device.

@half falcon Try other USB ports if possible, and try it on another device if available. You might also try uninstalling the device in Device Manager and replugging it in and seeing if that works. I know, fresh install, still try it.

I have the arctis 1 wireless headset (it's the cyberpunk one if that changes anything) and sometimes i'll hear little clicks from the audio, then the audio will be distorted for a few seconds. Anything I can do to fix it?

@twilit ledge Your headset is picking some sort of radiation, my speakers do the exact same thing when any actively transmitting phone gets within ~6 feet. i think this might be your problem

A Spotify update is what broke the integration and as far as I know Spotify hasn't bothered to try and fix it so that's why SteelSeries took the app down

Hey everyone! I really need your suggestions/help I really don’t know what to do and it’s really frustrating. Here’s some background: I contacted customer support early September 5th stating “my wireless headset suddenly won't turn on when not connected to the cable. The light is green and it should just go wireless when I take out the charging cable. When connected it says it is charging but is green. I also tried resetting it using the button. I've had this only since November”. They msged back try the reset button 3 days later. I responded back to them that day every time I got a msg from them. It took till September 18th to find out that I was able for a replacement bc it was a defective product. They also said I would have to do the email notify me to know when the product was available and then email them for the key to get a like-for-like product. I was already worried bc it takes them a while to email back that it would be unavailable by the time I got a response. I did the notify me and I check my email everyday. I msged customer service on the 20th bc I never received a email and it’s been a month. They said it was already restocked before and I should have received an email. I never got one but when I checked the page it still has notify me and I put my email in Again just in case. I’m just really confused about customer service and the set up for a replacement. Anyone have any suggestions or guidance of what to do next? I do all my school work at home and this has become such an issue in my day to day. And do u think it’s possible just for a refund at this point or does it not work like that? Thanks everyone 😫

@fallow frost Support has been really slow lately with everyone working from home and products being out of stock for long periods of time. The best thing you could do now is just keep watching the website for your product to come back in stock then probably message your support ticket about getting a code for a replacement. Or like @crude arch said if you ordered from a third party store go through their customer support and see if they can help you out any more.

All of there suppliers are delayed because of COVID so know one really has a specific date or timeframe of when things might show up again. You could try making a new ticket and if you get a different support person and see if they can do anything else for you, otherwise the only thing you can really do is wait

does it matter what power source I use for the Arctis 7 to charge it?

I have a 2.4A 5V usb outlet in my wall, and I'd prefer to use it since it's the closest to where the headset sits, but I'm unsure if a USB that strong is bad for the device

Yea, it should be.
I just got my new arctis 7 in from warranty after the charging stopped working on the first one, and I noticed the device stopped charging after using a battery pack to charge it

I will try to make this easy. So whenever i open any streaming/recording software i hear a Crackle/pop in my headset. Its starting to annoy me alot as i cant record/stream. I Payed a lot of money for these headset and i dont know why they dont work perfect

I just bought the Artic Wireless Pros and when setting them up to my GoXLR, which is also new for me, I was told to set the base of the headphones to AUX and not PC. They are working now but the connected speakers aren't working. Everything was working when the Windows default was set to the headphones. The speakers would kick on when the headphones were turned on but now that Windows is set to the GoXLR I get something from the speakers. I'm guessing that might come along with having to set to AUX to get it to work with the XLR?

A second question I had, do you lose sound quality from the headset when you switch to AUX from PC?

I just got the Arctis 1 Wireless for Xbox today and nobody can hear me when I talk. I did everything the setup said to do but nothing works!!! I went to go change my audio settings on Xbox but it won’t let me change it and for some reason the mic monitoring is all the way down. Does this mean the headset isn’t paired or something?

I’m having a similar problem where only one earcup is working and I’ve had it less then a week. The mic and buttons on that side are all working just not the earcup and I was told to submit a rma but idk how to it is the arctis 1 wireless

Try hard resetting your headphones @rough nest @fallow mortar . There is a hardware reset switch under the cushion on the left ear cup . It is a pinhole so you'll a paperclip or pin to press. Press it and hold it down for a 1 second.

The Apex Pro is pretty much out of stock everywhere and due to COVID all the inventories for pretty much every SS product has been delayed so the best thing to do is just sign up for an email notification through the website to know when the Apex Pro is restocked and keep an eye on SS social media because they'll probably post about it as well @calm plinth

Hey do you guys have any idea about the Arctis 9x's if you do can you please answer my question I am wondering if I need to return them if they are faulty or if its just the model or I don't know how to configure them well I play 3 or 2 audio at the same time and it bugs out or mutes the third audio completely is there a way to fix it? and then on regular one or two audio persay if I launch youtube it bugs the audio for a good few seconds is there a way to fix any of this or do I have a faulty headset?

I don't think that'll be possible without optical on the PS5 and as far as I know the DAC only supports one USB input coming from either the PC or PS5

#

Of course we won't really know what will or won't work in terms of audio devices and such until the reviews start coming out

Assume not until SteelSeries makes an official announcement about the AP and PS5. Right now they haven't said anything about it as far as I know

Everything they've said about the PS5 so far as been about the Arctis 7Ps but hopefully they'll follow Astro in supporting the AP and APW dacs with the new consoles

they have a site up saying the arctis pro w/ gamedac will be compatible, it's just a matter of finding a way to connect them to my pc & ps5 at the same time unfortunately, the astro device seems to be the best ive found but I don't know if Astro adapter would be compatible with the gamedac. I'll probably wait until reviews are out and go from there though, thanks 🙂

Yeah it's possible they'll say something once the PS5 is closer to release. The GameDAC will definitely have support for the PS5 because of USB audio. TBH getting rid of the optical port was kinda dumb on Sony's part ngl
