on my arctis nova pro wireless headset the back button on the base station randomly stops working. I already did an RMA for the headset but the replacement I just got has the exact same problem. Installing/unintalling steelseries gg doesnt help

So anybody who has the problem with the Nova pro wireless with dropping audio/garbling you need to use a high speed usb-c port. That finally fixed my problem.

anyone have a problem after the new update with arctic 7+ ? my headset sound is working but my mic for discord, games and my PC wont work or detect any sound when i test it but when I use the GG engine and use the settings to hear yourself I can hear myself. Anyone have any idea what it could be ? literally not touched my pc or headset since last night just hopped on today and its stopped working.

This is probably a silly question.. BUT, here goes nothing 🙂 I play PUBG on XBOX SERIES S (yes yes i know, console noob lol) 🙂 Is there any EQ type of software i can use? It seems GG is on PC (I havnt tried it, so im not sure if it's how a "save function" that would save EQ settings and carry it over to my xbox) seems the sound is VERY low on the xbox **BTW I SHOULD I SAID THIS ON THE FIRST LINE, BUT I HAVE THE Steelseries Arctis NOVA 7X Wireless with the built in bluetooth and 2.4 GHz Dongle)

Hi, the firmware update in the latest version of SteelSeries GG is not completing correctly (on both my Aerox 5 and my Prime Wireless), is it only me experiencing this? My Apex Pro TKL updated just fine instead.

On the right ear cup there seems to be a little hole that fits the pins that was used for reset in arctis 7

If there was a reset procedure it would be in the manual like how it is for headsets that have one, you can always open a support ticket on their website through the chat

I switched my default output device in windows to "Sonar Chat" and everything works (i can switch between devices, in sonar, like usual) but the "sonar game" device just doesnt let me choose which device to use. It doesnt have red symbol is doesnt have anything, jsut says no device selected.

Hm. I have a problem with Series Pro Wireless. Battery the battery does not hold a charge and charging full in 2-3 min... I found battery with 1300 mah vs 900mah stock , but it has 3.7V vs 3.3 stock.

my steelseries engine just keeps messing up and closing saying use steelseriesggclient.exe... even when i do. and double checked.

Works for about 30min-4hrs sometimes then crashes randomly

Okay. This sonar thing is infuriating.

A while back, my Steelseries Engine updated me into Sonar. Ever since then, my chatwheel on the headset isn't working and the actual sonar itself isn't adjusting itself to the chatwheel so I basically got a forced downgrade from steelseries with this kind update.

Is there any easy way to safely downgrade the headset so that it'll be configured as the day I bought it?

Hey, whenever I have Sonar on from steelseries gg software, after a while my headset starts making "crackeling" noices or however I can explain it. Like sparks from a fireplace IRL

hey guys, arctis nova pros here. I use them on xbox and pc at the same time. bt to pc. and the dock is usb to my xbox. worked fine for months. today when I connected my headset to my pc via bt, it made two beeping noises after connecting and now I can barely hear my discord call. It still works as intended but has turned discord quiet. and yes discord is turned all the way up now in every way i can

Are you following the prompts correctly @frank helm ? You have to first connect the mouse via usb, then turn the wireless mode witch to off. Then unplug the usb dongle, plug in the usb cable to that adapter and then the dongle to the adapter

After doidn all that and getting it to finally update firmware after a few tries, it was still showing me the critical update even though I can see it updated the firmware on the mouse and dongle. I just ended up uninstalling, rebooting, downloaded gg from ss website and installed again

But that deletes all your settings and presets so if you’re going to try that make sure to screenshot everything you need to set up again in gg engine and sonar

I just did this today, I plugged in the mouse, set it off., did the update and then it asks for the dongle to be connected to to pc and receiver to dongle. I did that. It took a few times like unplugging the mouse after update, reconnecting it etc etc but I got it to work

Hello friends! I have SteelSeries arctis pro + gamedac, and now i have a issue about my "GAMEDAC", I used the headset for a long time, everything worked perfectly, now also with the exception of one problem. On my GAMEDAC display, where the temperature of the CPU & GPU is displayed on the CPU, it shows 109-113 degrees Celsius, this was not the case before, it showed everything correctly. In other programs, the same NZXT shows the correct information. How to fix?

Idk if this bug has been sorted, I have the Nova Pro 7 Wireless, and my mic keeps disabling only on discord. It works when testing, and in other applications, but its muted. Mic works in the discord website thing, but not the app, i did all the trouble shooting per GG, and DIscord, still no dice. I Really dont know whats going on here.

My default is the Nova Pro Wireless, but I want that whenever I turn it off, the output automatically transfers to my speakers and the input to my hyperx mic, but what happens is the input does go to hyperx mic, but the output goes to hyperx mic as well (i have 3.5mm headphone connected to my hyperx mic).

Hey so I'm running into a problem with SteelSeries GG lately. I don't own any steelseries products myself, however I use SteelSeries GG for it's spatial audio and equalizer. For whatever reason, the program just won't open. It's still working as an audio device, but it won't open no matter what I do, it appears for a split second in task manager when I try to open it, but then it just disappears. This started happening after I had to reinstall my graphics drivers, since for whatever reason, they decided to break on me (Thanks AMD 😒 ) Does anyone have any suggestions?

@dire arrow you can make a support ticket on the website and if it's still under warranty you should be able to get some replacement grips but a faster method would be to just reglue them yourself using gorilla glue or something similar

so earlier today my apex pro came in, and everything's worked wonderfully except that when I get a discord notification, (its set to the default animation where the num pad lights up green), the number pad leds turn off, but occasionally one or two stay on. The only thing that turns the leds back on I've found is to go into steelseries engine and change the rgb color or use the preset option on the keyboard, can anyone help with this?

@tender rapids If you're having issues with the Arctis Chat (Discord Certified) output, go into sound settings through control panel, click on the properties of the Arctis Chat option, click the advanced tab then lower the audio quality from DVD to CD. That should fix the issue

Do you have the 2019 versions or the earlier model? I had that issue with my first pair of Arcits 5s but then I swapped them out for the 2019 version and both audio channels sound fine on DVD quality

Then you should have the 2019 versions. It's also possible it could be an issue with the ChatMix which is causing all the crackling because I never experienced any issues with the Arctis Game output even on my pre-2019 ones

I only had a problem with the Chat output crackling and cutting out on DVD quality and switching that output to CD fixed the problem. If you're having problems with the Game output too, well I really don't know how to help you. Sorry

I haven't had an issue with any of my games, although they aren't the specific ones you described. Maybe you just got unlucky and received a pair with a broken ChatMix that's causing the issues. If you still can I'd recommend RMAing them through SS Support and getting another new pair. Third times the charm, right? Otherwise, you can buy a stand alone ChatMix if you wanted to see if that really is the issue. I highly doubt it's a problem with the headset itself and rather just the mixer/preamp in the ChatMix dial

My original pair of A5s had crackling with the Chat output that I fixed by lowering the quality. I never had an issue with the Game output at DVD quality. I ended up returning my original A5s because I could get the 2019s for cheaper and I've never had any crackling issues with both outputs set to DVD

I'm pretty sure it's just the actual ChatMix that's causing the crackling because it's having issues processing the audio. That would also explain why it messes up in some games. If you don't want to swap out the whole headset then buying a new ChatMix should fix the problem

i‘ve been using the rival 500 for a while now, and i got the qck vector and the bungee with it, i have been using all 3 products for a while now
i suppose i had set it up wrong, because recently i have noticed that the little part of the cable closest to the mouse before it goes up into the bungee has had its outer layer of rubber scraped off (practically as if i had sandpapered it, idk) and now i can see the blue/cyan layer inside of the cable from that side, i am scared i might damage the mouse cable further and therefore the mouse‘s functionality itself, what would u guys recommend for better cable protection?

actually, none of my button actions work. Hey hey. I have had an Arctis 7 Wireless for over a year and lately I’ve been having a lot of issues. I emailed before my warranty was expired to get them replaced due to the multiple reasons they were broken (sound wheel spins forever, left ear piece turns around 360 degrees and I’ve been hearing static a lot. I replaced them by purchasing HyperX headset but am willing to send them back and continue using Steelseries if I can get a response back on my ticket. I believe it's literally just a passthrough so it should be whatever you plug it into on your computer
@tulip totem the passthrough can be USB 2.0 since USB 3.0 has 5 additional contacts. In the case of my Apex 7 it is just a 2.0 passthrough

I suggest doing a recording of yourself, and testing if it's actually on your end. It could be that your set isn't plugged in all the way, or that it's a setting in your sound mixing board

@strong rivet If it sounds good via recordings, it's on them. One thing I suggest is maybe double checking to make sure that your Discord, or whatever voice app you're using to communicate, is set to the correct device.

Hi there, I haven’t bought yet and just new here but have questions about the Arctis 9x: Using the audio share feature via the 3.5mm output does it degrade the audio or volume on the ‘master’ headphones or have any reduction in quality on the ‘remote’ headphones?
Is there one volume control for both headphones or do each, master and remote, have control of their own volume while sharing audio?

My thinking behind the questioning is, for example, travelling on flights etc being able to share audio from an iPad to myself and my partner so we can watch a movie together. That kind of thing. So hoping to not lose too much volume or quality. Saying that, the headset may not be great for flights as it doesn’t have noise cancellation and would probably need to be turned up to max volume 🤔

For some reason, the back/forward surfing side buttons on my sensei has suddenly switched to the other side of the mouse. Anyone know what this is about? Makes no difference if i change in windows or in SSE, its like the profiles get ignored.

Ugh. just done with removing anything steelseries, then reinstalling and backrolling to the previous engine. Nothings changed. As a test i even deactivated all buttons in the profile except mouse 1, and no go, they all function as standard. Its clear windows is ignoring anything sse tells it to do for me. 😦

So I just got my Apex 7 (Red Switch) US and I'm in love - I have one question though, how do I take out the keys out lets say I want to clean the keyboard in a couple months, do i just pull the keys out? Because the Keyboard box didnt come with no tool or anything i remembered my first mechanical keyboard 5 years ago it came with a tool to take them out easy without damaging them by pulling them thanks.

Yo, I just got arctis 5 and the mic aint working. It's second hand and I only got a 3.5mm earphone jack which I'm using with a splitter but windows aint picking up my mic. what do I do?

@vital pelican First, make sure that the mic isn't muted on your headset. The button on the left earcup above the volume knob should be pressed in. If it isn't muted then the problem might be the splitter. To test, try plugging your headset into the microphone jack on your PC without the splitter. You won't get any audio out of the headset this way, but your mic should work. If the mic doesn't work with the headset plugged into the microphone jack then you it could either be a problem somewhere in the settings on your PC or it could be a problem with the actual headset.

Oh, gotcha. If you end up having to buy the cable you might want to try to find one with the chatmix dial, that dial is super nice to have so you don't have to manually adjust the volume in individual games.

@vital pelican Yeah, for the LEDs you have to connect with USB. When you buy it new that headset comes with a cable that has some sort of proprietary looking connector on each end one side goes to the headset and the other goes to either a little pigtail that adapts it to a 4 pole 3.5mm audio plug which would mainly be used for consoles or the chatmix dial which plugs into your PC with a standard USB-A plug.

@vital pelican That would be 3 pin because the metal is only 3 pieces on each end. If you get a cable just like that with 3 plastic rings I think you can get the mic working. Let me see if I have one laying around so I can test it on mine.

@vital pelican Yeah those rings separate the connector into different parts. The extra one is for the microphone. I don't have any that have the 3 rings to test it on, but I think it's very likely that it would work. You could pick that up at any local electronics store for just a few $. I would give it a try if I were you.

Oh to fix that you should just have to change your windows output device. Connect with Bluetooth then click the speaker icon in your system tray and select your headset there.
