Help me out here guys. i recently installed Sonar fo my Arctis 7+ and now my mic no longer works in discord. I've reinstalled software, made sure everything was up to date, and made sure all permissions were enabled just in case. I am running out of options and this has been kind of frustrating. is there some secret setting that i have to turn on that everyone else knows about? please please help!

Hey am having an odd issue with nova pros. Watching say star trek on Netflix via Bluetooth on laptop. at say last 5 mins of the show it will double audio with the first 30 secs of the next episode. Before to my knowledge its even buffed for no apparent reason. If I pause the show the unwanted audio from next show continues for the 30 seconds and then disappears back to normal operation. happens about once every 3 episodes. Its a little odd. Any ideas ? is my unit faulty ? Happy to provide what ever you need over dms. Not really a massive deal but if you have a quick fix that would be epic.

I like the color of my new Apex 7 keyboard keys to be white but also change the Lock Key Color to red, to indicate that the Lock Key is engaged, because Steelseries never thought of a separate indicator light.

Who has been able to change the Lock Key Color to something else than white? All the other colors I tested with come out white.

That may actually be hardware related because sonar is classified as a virtual hardware device so it uses cpu utilization to work. What cpu do you have?

wait this is presuming you use sonar, if not then well- that wouldn't apply to your situation

that's way more than enough- uh. Are you using sonar? maybe reinstalling GG will help/fix it but other than that I really couldn't say what the issue could be. It could still be a hardware issue but with another component, or it could just be steelseries' fault. The answer is uncertain it'd be hard to pinpoint You can try sending a ticket over to steelseries' support team but the likelihood they'd be able to fix it is low I'd imagine

Hi. I got an Apex Pro Mini Wireless today, and I ordered the UK QWERTY version. The keyboard arrived as ordered in the correct layout, but when I launched SteelSeries GG and connected my keyboard, it only showed up as US QWERTY layout. This means that I cannot adjust any settings for two keys, as the software thinks that they are covered by another (the SHIFT and ENTER keys extend one more key out in US QWERTY, so the \ and # keys (UK) are adjustable. Is there a way to change which layout I am using in SteelSeries Engine? If so, how can I, and if not, what can I do?

For the game chat issue you can try a different USB port to reset the drivers or leave unplugged on the PC for a minute. For the 96hz I don’t know what that doc is supposed to be so you’d have to look on forums etc

I just upgraded from the Arctis pro wireless to the Nova pro wireless ( free of charge because of the hinge issue with the arctis pro ) but i find it very hard to adjust to the sound, everything feels like it sounds very muddy and less detailed than with the arctis pro wireless. i have tried similair EQ settings and also tried to disable sonar completely ( because i used to have it off for the other headset ) but i feel like im missing alot of detail. the only game i play is escape from tarkov, the EFT preset for the equalizer didnt do it for me either. is it because of the leather earcups that they sound so different? im pretty lost on what to do and have been finnicking with the EQ for ages now

i already took out a lot of bass because side by side the nova pro gives me the feeling of living in a subwoofer, but it still doesnt give me the same sound as the arctis pro, anyone else encountered this same issue or know what is so different in the eq of the arctis pro?

assuming you're using sonar as well, you probably need to go into OBS's audio settings and make sure that it's audio sources are set correctly. let me load OBS up to send a screenshot

ah, so the problem is that when you have a headset connected over USB, it routes the audio there, and doesn't send it over HDMI where it can be captured by your capture card. so you have three choices:

-don't use the headset when streaming
-use the 3.5mm output on the back of the base station, and set that output to "Streaming" mode. It'll take all audio to your headset and duplicate it to that output, which you can then plug into your PC
-use a third party device like the elgato chatlink

Seem to be having the same issue as a few others: with sonar setup I only get audio via the "chat" virtual device. The "game" device is setup to the correct headphones output and I can see the level bar moving, but no sound in the headset. If I switch my default output device to "chat" or to headphones I get audio fine.

I've tried restarting, reinstalling GG, disabling/enabling sonar, and all kinds of combinations of settings. No luck

I bought a bundle that included an Apex 3 keyboard, Rival 3 mouse, and Arctis 1 wired headset. Unfortunately the headset isn't supported within the Engine program. As such, I'm having a bugger of a time getting the microphone to work correctly. Has anyone discovered a work-around for this issue?

Is there anyway to block out mic echo/repeat? Mic "on" and watching a YouTube video (making no sound) and if I pause the YouTube video (example) the last few seconds of the audio will playback in my earcups where the headset Mic is picking up the ear-cup audio. Any way to stop this? Making it hard to stream with all the sound being repeated twice lol.

I have a question about devices shown under Sound Devices on Win11. What is the difference between normal Headphones and those virtual devices? Which one should I use?

if you use sonar, use gaming. Chat is automatically assigned by applications that use it. It's set (under actual native windows settings) as the "preferred communication device" which means discord will default to that. (gaming is basically just the main virtual output for sonar, ignore the fact that "game" is in the name)
If you don't use sonar, then you actually have it on and you'd want to go into gg -> settings -> general and toggle sonar off

I’d make sure the volume dial is up all the way or maybe even take it back a little. In my experience when it’s all the way up but rolled back a tiny bit it causes the audio to hug the left ear so maybe that’s the issue

Hello. I recently found out, as many others have, that my Arctis Pro Wireless has a major design flaw. Both my earpieces have cracked around the joint and my headset slides off when i tilt my head. Does anyone by any chance have an stl file so i can print and repair my own headset? Sadly steelseries knows and refuses to give any help to anyone with this issue. Every person with this issue gets the anwer "please find yourself a group outside of our company that is willing to provide you with an stl"... Sorry for the little rant, please help me fix my flawed 300 Euro headset

Yo, having a small issue with the Arctis 7+. The headset died yesterday, so as any normal person would do I charged them. They are not turning back on. I researched some solutions and followed the steps about removing the earpiece to press the small button inside, seemed to be the fix for a few users. Nothing. They have been charging overnight and still fail to turn on. Am I missing something? They were completely fine yesterday and have zero external damage. I purchased these 29 days ago.

Hello, anyone know why the Steelseries GG app would not be apply ChatMix settings any more? I can see that my Game and Chat applications show up on the correct channels, but when I actually use my headset controls to balance the audio, I never see the ChatMix balance in the SteelSeriesGG adjust, however I do see the base station itself (Arctic Nova Pro Wireless) chatmix being adjusted

Hello I am having issues with my Aerox 3 wireless mouse. It disconnects sometimes and its a pain in the arse to reconnect it. I have to plug it in turn it off and on again like 15 times and unplug it then it works. I feel like that I should not have to do this since every other mouse does not have this issue. I have also made sure I have all the updated drivers.

Guys, I have a Arctics Nova Pro Wireless (XBOX) headset and I understand that the default behavior when turning off the headset is the following:
"Sonar will automatically select a new target device. Equally when turning on again your Nova wireless it will automatically become again your target device. "
...but I also have speakers connected to my DAC. I don't need changing the target device. Else I have to manually revert it back to have audio through the speakers.

Help? Anyone? Main device (android phone for gaming) , Arctis nova pro wireless eith dac as headphones. I Would like to ask for suggestions on how i can utilize the sonar mix especially the MIC to my mobile gaming. I hate using phone mic for in game built in voice chat.

I stream mobile game CoD mobile through pc. I connect my android to an adapter wth hdmi, usb and usb c plugs also using elgato hd60s as capture card to my laptop. I have everything on wave link mixed (sonar game, sonarchat which i dont knownif i was using it actually, and sonar mic) everything sounds good apart from my ingame voice chat utilized my mobile phone mic all this time for cgatting ingame.

My setup currently:
A. Android - hdmi - hd60s capture card - laptop
(using wave link as mixer sonar game chat and mic included in it). (A) would be input 1 on game dac

My problem here is the mic. I cant seem to use the headset mic for phone chat ingame even tho i connected it to bluetooth

B. So itried connecting the phone to the game dac as input 2. But i could not hear the pc audio mix (wave link) if i go usb 2 kn the dac. It used the headset mic as my phone mic tho. (So i connected a line in from dac and pc. I can now hear the mix and utilize the mic but the problem is i hear double audio so i had to mute the game sound from the pc mix because if i mute the game on my phone , no audio is outputted. But game audio quality is not from the mix and is terrible

I know this is confusing or even noobis but im a newb on audio and would like to ask for a y suggestions where:

~I am able to hear the mix from the pc (game audio included from sonar which is included in the main wave link mix),

~use the headset mic or any other external mic (NOT mobile phone mic) at the same time.. and

-not hear double audio .

I know this is possible and would like anyone who can guide me through this complicated set up 🙏

@uncut roost I'll try a complete reinstall when I get home tonight, but to clarify, here's my specific issue: the game in question has audio commentary from multiple sources that didn't appear before I installed SONAR. After installing SONAR I was able to get all sound through headphones. Walked away for a few hours and when I came back and turned the headphones back on those extra voices were missing again and I haven't been able to get them back. In the game I can select a dedicated audio device for one of the voices, and that's fine, but I can't seem to get the general commentary to return at all.

Can someone help me with the Steelseries GG software? I configured the 5 onboard profiles in GG but when I switch profiles using my keyboard it always skips the second profile. It is also not even showing when I choose to load a profile with the led screen. Here is a short video, at first you can see that I can select the profile with my mouse but when I switch profiles with the hotkey, it always skips the second profile. I tried putting them in another order but that doesn't help, it always skips the second one and does not save it on onboard memory.

I bought an arctic nova 3, 3 days ago and it worked fine until today, it doesnt turn on anymore and when i plug it in it keeps saying "power surge on the USB port"

Dunno if you're still here, but just had a play around with mine, and I think part of the 'issue' is that what the screen dimming does is reduce the brightness to '1'. So if you have it set to '1' anyway it won't dim any further. Auto off doesn't appear to work, though.

@manic blaze yea, steel series knows about it it too, and 1 dim will still burn in over times, its not like its really dim anyways, aitooff should be working by now, they been out for how long? This is just common sense, theyve had burn in on the keyboards and old arctis pros, and thats why they added a screen saver and auto off. I returned my novas since they dont seem too concerned about my issues.

@sick lighti noticed earlier in discord that if you have the input sensativity set to auto it works ok if turned off auto remember to push to talk besides that check your mic is working using control panel - sound - top of box select recordings - select your input mic - then click properties, then listen and test your mic

@civic linteldo this uninstall completely the gg reboot then before reinstalling connect your headset or device using a different method ie audio cable direct to pc or if not just use a different port then check windows updates then reinstall gg unplug and using your normal method of connection try again

I recently bought the arctics nova pro wired Xbox/pc version. They sound great but I’ve been having problems with the software. When using the audio software it’ll work fine for a period of time and randomly turn off and on the program it’ll give me this message.
“ The core process SteelSeriesPrismSync.exe does not seem to be running. Please make sure you are launching the software using the shortcut in the start menu. If you have pinned the application to your taskbar or start menu, please check that you have pinned that shortcut rather than pinning a link to SteelSeriesGGClient.exe.

I’ve tried reinstalling the software, turning the computer on and off and it’ll still cause my audio to turn off with this message.
