As far as I know you need to add valorant manually to the games list in settings -> game detection -> and click on add game. From there you'll need to add the valorant.exe file which should be located in according to google "C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\live\VALORANT.exe"

this is for an arctis 9X but maybe it's the same for the regular 9's. Did you try factory resetting it through the method in the image? if not take the earpad off of the side in the picture I have attached, put a tiny pin in the hole you see in the image, and you should feel a button. Hold it down for around 5 seconds and then try turning it on.

All I can say at this point is to make a ticket right here -> https://support.steelseries.com/ and hope for the best. from my personal experience of having arctis 9's in the past they shouldn't be acting like this so maybe they were dead on arrival, in that case you'd be able to get new, working ones without taking up the 1 time warranty (most of the time, as far as I know).

@dire lagoon So what I'm getting, you should probably turn the headphones off when shutting your off pc (If they don't do that by themselves already) but if you just leave them when your pc is off it shouldn't take too much power from the battery, I hope it helps

you can bind two different keybinds/macros on one key, and the macros will play based on how far the key is pressed. to use an example from SS, you can bind a normal press of the W key to move forward in games, but you can bind a full press of the W key to shift+W to sprint forward. SS engine also lets you bind mouse buttons to the keyboard so you can bind G to equip a grenade and a full press of G to throw it with LMB

@mellow cloud @quiet junco I got the answer from Steelseries to solve the probleme with ChatMix!
Under "Device Manager" you have to remove the driver for the head set and the one for Sonar. After that when you have restarted your PC you have to reinstall the latest version of GG, 23.01 i think.
After that it worked fine for me! If you have questions, just contact me!!

Anyone know why it takes several seconds for audio to start coming through with SteelSeries Arena 7 speakers? If I pause/stop audio, it takes several seconds for audio to come through when I resume playing it. I'm using the 3.5mm aux input from the machine in question (MacBook Pro), whilst the USBC port is in use by a PC. The PC is current turned off but I wonder if it's something to do with it looking at the USBC input and then taking a few seconds to realise audio is coming through the 3.5mm aux and switch/merge that audio?

I bought two steelseries arctis 9x in april, and both of them are broken. One of them the sound is messed up, and the other the hinge keeps coming loose and it will not turn on due to battery issues. I have tried to contact support, but I haven't gotten an answer in mutliple weeks. They have not been damaged physically, and have only been used normally. Is there anything I can do to get them fixed, get a replacement, or get my money back?

Hey guys, I've got a set of Arctis 7s which have been great, but I built a new computer recently and since then, all my audio comes out the gaming channel and the fader knob on the headset just fades all sound up and down regardless of whether it's chat or game.
All my defaults are set up correctly on the windows settings, but in the mixer on Sonar, the only options I have are my monitors built in speakers, or "Headphones (Arctis 7 Game)" so everything, even chat gets routed through the game channel.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Any suggestions

On my Arctis Nova Pro Wireless headset, I often am on calls and use my PC. It is set to have the PC noise quieter but NOT off when i am on a call. However, that is not what it does. With my apex pro mini I set the actuation as low as it can go to 0.2 but I would graze my thumb on my spacebar and it would jump when I didn’t want it to, so I set the actuation just for the space bar to around 2.0 and I don’t think it saved as it shows I’ve change it but it still has the very small actuation 0.2 Ingame

I’d just try reinstalling at this point sadly if you want to fix it. If windows is set to auto start the app and it’s not starting, there’s not much you can do besides double checking in services (with everything manually opened) to make sure all steelseries services are set to auto start

Hello, I have a problem with my apex pro mini. When I set the activation of my keys to 0.2 my keyboard stops working and when I restore the default settings which is 1.8 base my keyboard works fully again. Someone would have any idea ?

I just ran into this very same issue. I found out that what triggers Chatmix not working for me is toggling Spatial Audio ON/OFF. If I toggle it then chatmix stops working and I have to do the unplug/power cycle motion. I don't think this had ever been an issue until I installed 23.1.0.

I have Apex 64145 keyboard. When it is connected to the laptop docking station it can reset and hang at random times, then reconnecting helps. But when it is connected directly to the laptop there are no problems with it. I have a docking station so as not to dis/connect anything. Why the keyboard hangs on usb hubs? Sonar works but mic doesn’t so I had to change the microphone input to like default and disable sonars mic so it would work. I’ve found the chat mixer, and volume wheel only works when the headset is connected wirelessly (2.4g) to the DAC

After my very first firmware update to DAC and headset, it unpaired them. So I had to hold the power button for 6 seconds to go into pairing mode and go into the DAC to repair them. They worked after that but Sonar microphone doesn’t work (had to disable it in settings).

When headset is plugged in 3.5mm to DAC, only the audio works—not the volume control, nor the game/chat mixer, nor the mic.

Alright, chat mix on the DAC shows up when Sonar is enabled.. For some reason it's not there when Sonar's disabled.

ALso same problem as before. If i set Google Chrome/Spotify/Anything to the Sonar Game output, I don't hear anything unless i change my default output device in windows 11

Yes it also appears the best way Sonar can work is to let it become the default audio output. Then you can set all your WIndows app to use Default output.

They're already set to default to SteelSeries Sonar - Gaming in my sound options

Sonar with all my apps worked day one, then after one reboot everything was out of whack.

I would recommend (if not done so already) to quit the GG sonar app, unplug the DAC, restart machine and plug everything back when PC is back on. Check back in Sonar your devices are set properly (Game/Chat devices are the Nova Pro) and that Sonar is detected and set up as the default audio. See if that works

Here ya go. I can hear the chat channel, but there's no access to Game. Also Sonar wants me to default it back to the software handling it.

in this case, i cannot use chatmix, which is the reason why i purchased this device

OK, it seems there is definitely an issue with the software. Since you can hear audio in the headset in this configuration, it tells you the DAC and headset are communicating properly, and when you set everything up in the audio system to what is supposed to be, you don't hear anything. I would do the following:

Uninstall GG completely.
Unplug DAC and leave it disconnected
Restart PC
Check that in the audio sound options you don't see any Audio device that is Steelseries (Arctis 7 or pro)
Plug back the DAC in a different USB port if possible.
Install GG and associated drivers/software

If this does not work, it is possible there is an issue inside the DAC that does not allow it to handle two audio streams at the same time, and may be best to contact SteelSeries support

Hey, I'm having an issue with my Arctis Nova Pro for Xbox. When I connect to my PC via Bluetooth, I have no way to increase or decrease the volume of what is playing on my PC. I'm on Windows 11, and the sound slider does not affect the volume at all. Would anyone know a fix?

If I toggle the Spatial audio ON/OFF, chatmix stops working and the only way to fix it is to do the close app, unplug and replug DAC and then open the app. After that it works like a charm

My apex pro does not show cpu temp. on mini screen. But i can see GPU without any issues. I can also see every single core temp with HWinfo64 so there is no issue with my pc. Has anyone else been having issues with Sonar? In particular the Sonar Virtual device for chat when using it with discord? This has been going on i believe for the last 1-2 weeks now. The issue is that the people keep cutting in and out and going low volume when you using chat virtual device. However, if you change it to any other virtual one (ie: gaming) no issues... Just purchased an Arctis 9x have gotten it to pair with my computer and can watch video and listen to music fine. My problem is that I can't hear anything in discord and no one can hear me. I have all my permissions I need. It also occasionally pops a "not detecting any input from my mic" warning when I enter voice channels. I have checked my settings and the Steelseries mic is the one selected and still nothing. I also have tried it as default since it is my default mic and it still does nothing. I can hear the entering of the channel and exiting in the channel when I do it but nothing else. I can also watch any posted videos' and hear them fine but once that is done I hear nothing again. As well if I am watching/listening to something on the computer and go into discord vc I can no longer hear what I am listening to/watching on the computer but as soon as I exit the vc I can hear it again.

The Arctis 7 can easily be setup to a PC or PlayStation by following the steps below. Please note, DTS: Surround Sound will NOT work on Mac.

Connect the USB Wireless Transmitter to your PC or PlayStations USB port
Turn on your Arctis 7 by pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds 

If your Arctis 7 does not automatically pair to the transmitter, it will need to be re-paired.

I can see sonar receiving audio in GG, it's just not making it to my headphones)

Hi, all. I'm sure this question get's asked A LOT but wondering what the most recent advice and device is available. I have a Switch OLED and a MacBook Air/iPhone. My gaming monitor does not have speakers, which is common enough. I want to listen to in-game sound and VC on Discord at the same time. I used to have the Arctis 3 Bluetooth 2019 Edition for this exact purpose and it was great (wired to Switch and Bluetooth to Discord), but sold it when I left the country briefly.

That model is not available anymore, as far as I know.

Any suggestion to be able to do the same? I have had suggestions to get an Elgato capture card or an audio splitter and honestly, this is a headache and I wish there was another headset that just did what the Arctis 3 did.

Hello all, I'm having issues with the cloud sync my profiles were lost and I could not find a download or restore button anywhere. I recall that I had all my previous steelseries gears displayed in the tab even though some of them were from ages ago and were never plugged onto this machine at all. But this time, it only displayed my prime wireless and arctis nova 7, and all previous settings were wiped.

I need help with my Arctis 7, so I have discord setup on Sonar - Chat, and my game and desktop audio setup to the Game channel. So what happens is when I am in a call in discord, I can't hear the game and the call, and if I close the game, then I would start hearing the people in the call again. I tried to reinstall GG and I would choose the certified channel in discord and the game channel for windows. Then when I join a call, there's a crackling sound that's going the break my ears. I also tried doing it the classic way by choosing the chat channel in discord (not the certified one) and the game channel on windows, same thing is happening with the crackling/static sound. Appreciate if anyone can help me guys.

I just got the Nova Pro Wired. The audio outputs to both speakers (line out) and the headset at the same time. Is there anyway to toggle between just one or the other?

If I remember correctly there's a toggle in on the DAC screen menu to switch the output from "speakers" mode to "streaming" mode. i think you'd want it on speaker mode?

I do that, but it often sets itself back to streaming.

i had to set the windows default to Headphones Arctis Game and Mic to Arctis Chat and then do the same thing in Discord.

They're still on, the mute light is on, but the battery symbol is flashing and I can't unmute the mic

Win10 magically stopped detecting my Arctis Pro headset as a device and instead I'm only left with SteelSeries Sonar

Just solved it by plugging the headset's USB into a different USB port

Nova 7 I’ve had it for a bit. Like a week or so. And it’s uncomfortable over long sessions. My right ear pad pokes out a little. And it’s very loose. Sounds is amazing tho. Just uncomfortable

i've turned on Sonar for the first time, and it won't let me select any devices, like this, on all three possible inputs, and therefore setup doesn't work. any ideas on how to fix this?

The gg software is broken af... yesterday it work fine with nova pro wireless headset and my shure mv7 mic through the gg software.. now it wont detect sound from microphone... only when i open control panel and sound it works, when i close control panel it stops working again.. like wtf

Unplug the USB from the computer for a minute or try another port, if that didn’t work try to re-pair the headset
