You can also manually change the gain in the Sonar settings under Game, Chat, and Microphone individually

Just had this problem. I had to do 2 things to fix it. First I restarted the computer. Second I changed the USB port the box was plugged into.

Hello guys! I have a Arctis Nova Pro Wired and am having issues in Discord with sound crackling when others talk. I've had other headsets such as the Razer Blackshark V2 before this and the Astro A40s before that and this has never been an issue. I've had this headset for a few months now and never really had the time to utilize Discord and am now noticing it on multiple discord channels with different people. However, I do not have sound issues when I watch videos or talk to people on other platforms such as Zoom and Teams. I've updated all the software for Discord and the headset. Does anyone know any solutions or have had this issue?

just dont be rough with the cushions - they are to be pulled out with a simple quick pull, and not with the use of nails or trying to pry it off (although you can)

I have a 7+ now and used to have a 7. My mic sidetone on the 7+ is insanely loud and backgroundy/staticy on LOW, where as on my old 7 I had it at medium and it was perfect. So I found a bug that I can't believe has made it past testing. Keyboard: Apex Pro. When I have the SteelSeries GG software installed, the DEL/M4 key repeats as if it's held down. You can test this with Notepad. The only way to get around it is to disable GG on boot, and perform a factory reset on the keyboard. If you launch GG at any time, it'll do the same thing all over again, and your DEL key will repeat. Rebooting doesn't fix it, only a factory reset of the keyboard and not launching GG will prevent it.

Particularly higher pitched noises such as typing on the keyboard. Any tips? Or is there a bug in the firmware?

If I turn the headphones completely off while wearing them, then things sound as expected - I'd like that same experience when the headphones are on.

Hello, I bought the Steelseries Arctis 3 White today, I have a problem with the speaker and microphone and I want to turn the volume up as high as possible, my problem is when I'm in Teamspeak or watching a video and the volume of the turn down videos, you can hear feedback from my mates or from the video through the microphone, how can I turn that off? I don't have the problems in Discord, only in Teamspeak.

I am talking about this thingy. Does anyone have any information regarding the Arctis Nova Pro, whether this issue has been fixed, is this reinforced or ?

Because my headset broke, its out of warranty, I wrote to steelseries support already, but wanted to ask you if you guys know whether the new model is fixed

The Nova Pro has an improved hinge design. It's a lot studier than the old Arctis Pro. The Nova is also lighter than the old one which helps with less stress on the hinges. But overall the design is much better

If the headset is outside of the warranty period (1 year from time of purchase in the US, 2 years for the EU and UK) then there isn't much that support will be able to do for you. If it's still within the warranty period then they should let you RMA the headset and send you a replacement that you can pair with your existing base station

from what you're saying it sounds like your computer is struggling to run multiple things at once. while sonar is pretty lightweight it still requires some processing power to run parametric EQ and all the other things that come with it. doing what the other user suggests to put the priority of the program higher is a fix, but what you're doing is telling your computer that instead of spending CPU power on your game, it should spend it on sonar instead, which may not be the best solution

this is probably one of those cases where sonar may not be for you. the arctis 5 was released before sonar was a thing so it should work totally fine without sonar running.

Hi! I just got my new Arctis Nova Pro Wireless and I like them a lot, but I got I major problem. I don't have any surround sound or anything in them when they are connected via 2.4ghz connection to the DAC. I had the same problem with my Arctis Pro + Gamedac which is one of the reasons why I upgraded, but it seems to be the same with these. I don't know if it has anything to do with my computer or how to fix it. While using the Bluetooth to my phone, the surround sound is working fine. Any Ideas?

I discovered my issue was largely caused by Sidetone being set to Low. I adjusted this setting on the DAC and also disabled Auto-off there, but after power cycling the headphones the settings are not saved. Also, auto-power off is kicking in despite listening in to Line In audio.

So I own an Apex Pro Mini Wireless.

The keyboard is great but there are just so many issues with the software and I'm wondering if there is a fix.

1. SS key cant be set to less than 0.9mm or it will just get stuck
2. When the keyboard goes to idle and comes back from idle the ctrl key gets stuck and you have to enter recovery menu on windows to fix it. (ctrl + alt + del)
3. When wired to charge the battery % slowly goes up but when u set it back to wireless it just goes back to a lot lower %
4. Double RGB. This mainly happens when wired and still on the 2.4ghz option but sometimes without being wired. The default RGB settings will be played on some keys while other will have whatever you set on the SS software and you have to restart the software app to fix.

this is honestly a big pain in the ass for a 240$ keyboard.

I like to use sidetone to let me hear myself when I speak, but that needs the headset to be connected to the 3.5mm output of the microphone. I've been trying to claim warranty on my broken Arctis Pro Wireless headset for the last two weeks now, and I get that sometimes it may take a few days to get a reply, but every single time I ask for clarification on something, it takes at least two whole days (48hrs) to get back to me. Sometimes longer.

Understandably two weeks ago when I first broguht it up before the weekend, it's understandable to have that delay until monday

but it took then an entire week (26th to the 2nd) after I asked a question and clarified that I have already sent the required information, for them to then finally reply.
They then didn't answer my (kind of important) question, and when there was an issue with the instructions sent, I asked for clarification

and it's been ~72hrs since I asked for that clarification, without which I can't continue the warranty claim.

All that to say they've also given me a deadline to finish the claim by? Which is in a few days from now??

I was told to begin it by the 9th of august, it's the 5th, and they've so far taken-
first, 1 day to reply
then, 1 week to reply
then, 1 week to reply
and so far, 3 days, no reply yet.

If the pattern continues, they'll answer my question on the deadline, which isn't okay

it gets stuck in a bootloop when I try to connect to my computer

Works just fine when I just plug it into regular power, but if I connect to the computer USB, it turns on for a second, immediately shuts off, and repeat

For a few months now, GG likes to pick the wrong mouse profile on startup. I have my default, then a 'games' profile which auto launches with particular games. Exiting goes back to default like it should.

On a fresh boot, as soon as GG loads, it changes to the games profile if it was used before the PC was shutdown even though default was active at time of shutdown. It never used to behave like this and can't figure out how to fix it. I've deleted and recreated the profile, nothing weird attached to it besides the games it's linked to. (Sensei Ten, for the record).

My keyboard (Apex 7 TKL) has never done this... Only mouse.

Uhhh Hi people! I've got a problem and that is... First time I started using SteelSeries GG my ARCTIS PRIME was able to be used. Now I've got a problem which leads to that my Arctis Prime does not show up in my Sonar Mixer or anything. kinda yes, sony limits the chatmix feature to only sony-brand headsets. you can still adjust chatmix in the menu but you won't be able to control it on the headset

Hey guys, one question: I have an Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. When i start my PC and start the Steelseries GG Software and go to "Engine" i don't see my battery status. It's just not there.

well ok, the arctis nova pro has 2 batterys.. 1 is charging in the DAC and the other one is in my headphones. Normally the softare should show me always the status of those batterys, but it only works if i unplug my device and plug in again while my system is running. So i always need to do this.. this is not acceptable for me for a 379€ Headset.

hi everyone! so, basically im using steelseries headsets ever since. my lust upgrade was from series 7 wireless that has had the mechanical chatmix to the new nova pro wireless because i was annoyed of charging my headset here and there. the thing is, since the nova pro is using the sonar software for chatmix, it works completely ramdomly. sometimes it does, sometimes it does not, sometimes it does not even detect my audiodevices and i have absolutely no clue what to do. i have done severel reinstalls and firmware updates aswell and i cant seem to find a solution myself or online.

so basically i know how to set this up and switch between game/chat mode. sonar is installed, my batteries charge.
as i said, its steelsieres GG or Sonar that messes up with my audio devices or so because i set games to "sonar game" and chats to "sonar chat" and so on as i used to on arctis 7. but when i try to switch back and forth, there is no difference in sound levels.

can someone help me, i have a problem. i updated the newest GG software the 22.0.0 but my headset ( steelseries actris 7) volume for the chat and game on the right side of my headset have i a problem. when i play a game i hear my game in chat en my friends in discord also in chat but when i switch to the game chat i hear nothing. ( im from the Netherlands, if you can i help me ping me or send a dm)

chatmix is PC only, sony locks chatmix to only sony brand headsets

you can still use the chatmix in the menu on PS5 when you're in a party chat, but the wheel on the headset won't work

Don't know if this is the place to ask about this but any advise on how to make my microphone (Arctis Prime) sound good? I've tested quite a few things and I can't seem to make it good. I was good in the beginning but then somethin happen and now I can't fix it back...

Turns out my base station's boot loop problem happens when I plug it into my PS5 too, so seems to happen with any device that it's trying to interact with. If I just plug it into a power supply not associated with a device, it will turn on fine

So s like it must be some kind of software issue on the base station's end. No idea how to fix it though. Is there a way to do a factory reset?

Question, if I have an arctis 1 wireless would it be worth it to upgrade to the nova pro like would I be able to tell a difference in the sound quality?

Also is this the right place for that question I'm new here so I don't really know if it is or not

Okay, I used the reset option on the base station while plugged into standard power, and it didn't fix the issue

I'm sure I'm the millionth and a half person to say this here, but the fact that SteelSeries has no phone or live chat support and don't seem to reliably respond to e-mail tickets is infuriating

For a company with such great products that seems absurd

I just got the Arctis 9 wireless and have watched over an Hr and 30 min of videos trying to figure out why the only audio channel that is working is the Hands Free AG Audio. Meanwhile the rest give static sound as well as the sonar setup as default not working in the way it’s supposed to. It wants to connect it to my realtek audio. It also doesn’t help not having any form of solid way to get help and is insanely infuriating because I have wanted nice headphones for a while now and I can’t figure out what’s wrong. I have done the setup with and without the dongle powered them off updated all my drivers and windows and have messed around with control panel and nothing has given any audio except the Hands Free one. Can anyone help me.

hi I have a problem with arctis 9x's. So when i connect to discord vc (it happens on phone and pc) everything starts to sound like speaker was in my dead aunt's anus, and as you can think i don't really like it. pls help ;-;

i kinda got a small fix which isnt that good but still something but with the steelsiereis app u can go to engine and put bass boost on which kinda sounds normal

i think u need to do some stuff with the equalizer to fix that but didnt found the perfect one yet il let you know
