Moments definitely needs some major optimization work for AMD systems. On my brand new PC with a Ryzen 9 5900X, RX 5700XT and 32GB of RAM, my average FPS tanked in the main game I play, Battlefront 2 (2017) from 130 average to 92 average while using moments and playing at 1440p

Not to mention that the quality of the clips it produces are absolutely atrocious, pixelated garbage even at the ultra quality setting at both 1080p and 1440p.

Plus for whatever reason when I turn the game sound down using the ChatMix dial on my Arctis 5s to better hear my Discord call over it, the game sound recorded in moments seems to increase and lower both the Chat volume and my mic volume making the clips not only look horrible but also sound horrible too.

That's a completely different thing then. If you have a SS headset you can set your music to come through the Chat audio output and just set moments to not record chat like I said before. If you don't have a SS headset then unless you have another source to put the music through, Moments will record the default desktop audio device and any sound coming through it. So basically, there isn't a way for Moments to record only game sound and nothing else if there's multiple audio sources coming through the same device like game sounds and music

GG is still in beta and there's plenty of bugs to go around. Make sure you have it set to record with elevated permissions, restart the app (by going into task manager and closing all GG and steelseries related processes) then restart it.

This may be a dumb question, but are you sure it's detecting the game you're playing? If it doesn't auto detect a game you have installed you'll have to manually add it by going into the game's folder and selecting the .exe for it

With the game open, right click the SteelSeries logo in your system tray and click exit then launch GG again. Click on the moments tab and see if says "Now capturing [GAME]" or something similar at the top. If does, you should be good to go. I finally got mine working pretty consistently on my laptop with a GTX 1650

The only thing available at the moment is the autoclip feature. You can change it in the settings but you can have the option to autoclip on 3k, any headshot kills, or any knife kills. We might add some more options in the future though

It records based on the volume of the system sounds themselves, so make sure your Chat volume is raised to 100 in Windows settings and try turning down your in-game volume to 40-50% and that should balance out the audio better

Guys could anyone help me out here? Upon recording a "moment" it displays "Recording valorant" however, the clips dont show up in my galery. It's stuck on the setup saying "(2) Save your first clip"

Anyone a fix for the issues I ran into? It does give a audio feedback upon recording, aswell as showing it in the engine. But it doesn’t make a clip

Try going into GG, go to settings (bottom left corner of app) , under Moments settings check Capture With Elevated Permissions. Restart the app and accept the UAC prompt. See if that helps or not and let me know.

Auto is the default capture setting that tries to use Game Capture first because that can offer better performance in during gameplay but some games don't work well with Game Caputre so auto mode will automatically switch to screen capture to clip games that otherwise can't be clipped with game capture

hello, so i have this issue with GG, after i download i edit I manage to edit like few clips

and next time i start it up

i always have issue sharing the video to discord, as the 2 red bars come up and nothing happen

Check if your gpu drivers are up to date, if that doesn't work, restart pc. If that too fails. Back up your settings and reinstall with a fresh download from the website

If all else fails pray to the devs to big brain solve it

hi guys, I just got my arctis 7 and I am wondering what settings in discord I should select and in windows audio too

in discord input and output device I have a option called certified

^ yeh that works well for discord

in windows audio you could also set your default audio, communication and recording device to the game, chat and mic endpoints of the headset

that will then generally pick those up with the defaults for many apps

I think the only way you can do that right now is by messing with other appliations

ie lower mic in sound settings

Raise the gain on your mic, lower in-game volume. Unfortunately Moments doesn't have the capability to set independent recording levels so the audio is tied to the system sounds in Windows. If I'm playing a multiplayer or co-op game and using Discord, I lower my game volume to 35%-40% and just turn up the volume on my headset's volume wheel and use the ChatMix on my Arctis 5s to balance the game/chat volume so Discord doesn't blow my eardrums out
