I turned off HDR and it worked.

Computer settings and go click display. It should say Use HDR under brightness and color.

It's mentioned a lot in the support articles, but auto-clipping works by seeing events on your screen and triggering the clip when it sees it. So if you have a non-standard setup, you may have issues having GG see the events. So this means you'll have issues if:

-Your game is in another language (Autoclipping only supports English)
-Your game is in any resolution besides the standard 16:9 resolutions (So ultrawide setups will not work, nor will any setups in stretched 4:3. Windowed mode may also not work as well if it's in some strange resolution)
-You play with HDR on
-You have any accessibility settings that change how the HUD/UI looks
-You have any mods that move/change how the UI works
-The game updated and changed how the UI/HUD/Events looks so GG needs to update to know what the new events look like.

If you have some sort of Chatmix setup (such as through Sonar) then you can set the audio devices in the settings for Moments. Once setup, you can change the volume of the various audio devices in the Moments clip editor.

But the discord audio and the game audio both go into the "audio device" thing when i used Sonar, and obviously also when i didn't use it. How to i make for example the "chat device" record the discord audio then?

I'd definitely advise to check Sonar & Discord to make sure everything is setup correctly and Discord is outputting to the correct device. Currently with how Moments works, it captures the audio from your audio devices on your PC, so splitting the audio across different audio devices is the only way to split them and make sure that you can remove your friend's chatter from clips.

I have gotten it to work kind of. The discord audio does now show up in the media device thing, but the media device does not show up when i record a clip, only "Audio Device", "Chat device" and "Microphone" shows up, but not media or aux. I could just make the discord audio be in the "chat device" but the media as an equalizer that i want to try to mess around with so i want the discord audio in the media.

If you're using Media as an output, then you should change that in the Moments settings. The default is "Chat" so if you're doing something other than default you should make sure everything else is adjusted.

Also to add, auto clip in valorant does not work if HDR is enabled in windows. I am using amd gpu and am not sure if that's a case for other brand or games as i have only experienced it in valorant and not dota2

Didn't really dig through for answers but anyone else having some audio/video desync issues with clips? I've noticed that the longer a single game session goes on for, the more desynced it gets. Audio stays on track and is aligned with the clip timeline in CS:GO (haven't tested other games) but the video seemed to be further and further behind with every auto-clip across 3 matches, going from synced to having like a 10 second difference.
Edit: clip settings being set to very high, 1080p60fps on 2 minutes

maybe just log relevant inputs, and autoclip based off of APM? you see people posting clips in COD games where they're doing 5k APM all the time. if the engine or the game can determine a kill where high apm is used, say if someone builds an impressive structure very quickly or uses insane movement tech in nobuild, it autoclips.

Yes, it is listed but I don't know if it recognizes both versions. I normally play the Vulkan edition so I tried to add it manually - but GG didn't seem to add it.

When I start the "non Vulkan" version, Moments gets it right. So I guess I have to play on this version and screw Vulkan (its the same with the Discord overlay which only works with the normal version, Vulkan seems like it doesn't work well with a lot of programs).

so Moments has the ability to record multiple audio streams and save them alongside the video clip. so if you have discord outputting to a separate audio device, then it makes it easy.

but how do you have discord output to a separate device? you need some audio device or audio app that has separate audio so that you can set your game to audio A and your discord to audio B.

if your headset already has some sort of chatmix, it should be easy to setup. if your headset doesn't, then you can try out Sonar, since it has virtual audio devices to set up it's own chatmix

In simple terms it splits your audio into multiple channels
Gaming/Chat/Media
Gaming would be your default output
Chat is what you would want to set as your Discord's audio output
Media can be linked to apps like Spotify/itunes etc

They don't really affect your experience (on the default settings), but on moments settings you can set the chat audio to Sonar - Chat then on your clips you can choose to mute the chat output, thus muting your discord comms (which is what you wanted)

when sonar is setup correctly (which from your screenshots, it looks like it is) then the "Game" audio device is the default in Windows, so any game you load will try to output it's audio to the default in Windows

Discord will try to output to the Default Communications device in Windows, which is usually "Chat"

you shouldn't need to go into the audio settings in Windows to reroute the audio unless you want to route it to something that isn't default, such as Media or Aux

it might... you have been messing with key parts with the PC reinstalling software normally like SS and NVIDIA require a restart

if you set it to clip Elims it will record all elims at the time you set (10s, 30s, 1m, etc etc)

For Example, this is a play of the game it records POTG
but I also have this ENTIRE fight because it records solo elims too... + in quick succession i have like 6 small clips + 1 large clip and a play of the game clip :)

My issue is I have auto clips on but when they save it starts way before any of the in game action takes place. Repairing corrupted clips isn't hard, but it's annoying

Like sometimes the delay is 1,25s, the other 2,5s, and another it's 3,5s

Hello i have an issue where my clip are flashing black like 1/2 frame, sometime are totally black. Maybe it's because i played with the scaling of my screen in nvidia panel but even when i settled it back it still buged. I tried uninstalling and reinstaling the steelseries gg but still bug. Btw the bug also applies on old clips that worked normally so i think the issue is from isnt from the capture

and at the same time sometimes steelseries gg became to randomly become blur? like for 5 sec all will be blur then be back to normal idk it s weird

Was there an update/system taken down, or something because my Moments is not working now. It has been working the past couple days but It is turned off now (but I never did!). My internet works because I'm currently playing Rocket League so I'm confused.

So I have noticed that while using moments, whenever I clip Guilty Gear -Strive- and ONLY GGST, the game and the audio are out of sync. idk why but its around about a 3 - 6 second delay (its random but usually around 3 - 6 seconds)... Idk what the go is but here is an example (scrounged around and found a clip that i had not deleted yet of the de-sync bs)

I see this issue quite often recently. If you're recording clips in 60 fps, you might want to lower it to 30. Idk why, but it works.

Why does Moments suck when recording content thats being played in HDR? All my stuff is washed out. So its either I play games in SDR or I get bad clips... Any workarounds?

I'm having an issue in specific games, SWTOR for example, where Moments will record the video and audio out of sync. The video will be about 10-20 seconds behind the audio. Editing in post doesn't help because there is so much audio missing that I can't line it back up with the video.
