i noticed it going to 4.4Ghz earlier
when i was doing a stresstest in AIDA
Almost 5GHZ single core ROFL
Alright, that's much better indeed.
Now it's working like it should.
4.7Ghz Multicore LOL
owh wait, that was a spike, seems to be 4.4ghz average
i also believe the CPU to be running a few degrees cooler too
I'm giggling like a little schoolgirl here and i'm not even a woman ROFL
(easily amused i guess)
gonna check what minecraft does to my temps now
I can't get my CPU to go over 70 in MC right now HAHA
and chunks seem to generate a lot faster too
So thanks for that @noble oak 😄
haha
Great guide, same one I used
hi
Any preferences abt say for example nvidea or amd, intel or amd etc.?
intel for gaming, amd for multitasking
cpu wise
gpu wise it doesn't matter much, just software really
id always go nvidia, but thats because im used to them by now
eh...not really
i keep forgetting new gen intel have hella cores n threads nowadays. my b
I prefer amd for gpus because of linux support and lower power draw
At the moment, intel is ahead on cpus, but if zen 4 is as good as AMD claims, it will be better in my eyes
Socket support is pretty nice
yes ik we all think different and it's mostly just opinion and or current pricing there isn't one better at all times
that's why i am asking @noble oak
okay modded mc is verry cpu intensive so having multiple cores there would be nice
how much storage are you using right now and or need?
well for the pc im planning to get 1tb ssd
currently i have 1tb storage, and used up half of it in my mac
what was the budget exactly?
are there retailers etc. you want me to exclude?
like for example items sold on amazon but not shipped directly from amazon?
newegg in germay xd
idk i live nextdoors in belgium
i don't think they have a warehouse in germany tho, i think they just do overseas shipping
yeah that works
anyways im sorry i have to go do some school work now
ill be back soon
bye
okay i'll see what i can make work
don't think ordering overseas will come out cheaper, i tried to add the 4000d and it was cheaper at first but shipping was €80 making it alr more expensive but then you haven't included tax yet. in conclusion, buying from german and or european stores would cost 110 instead of the 200 it would cost aftyer tax and shipping from the us
is it okay to use a small cheese block instead of thermal paste?
I'm sure
Final results on my dream setup
Looks fantastic! But shouldn't it be in #archive-battlestations ? :P
Oh yh ur right lol :(
:kek:
Put cooler on, put in fans blowing from front to back. Done
A lot simpler than water cooling
big recommend noctua tower cooler, or if you’re tighter on budget a cooler master hyper 212evo
or if you’re not overclocking and the cpu isn’t insane like a 12900KS or a ryzen 9 5950x the included cooler if you still have it
but you want a good airflow case regardless, no solid front panel, couple fans at the front and one at the back (if it’s in-budget)
Im finally buying a GPU but i do have one question does the PSU cable or what ever it is called in order to connect it to the power supply does the cable come with it?
Hm
Im gonna get the Rx 6500 xt
Its not the best decision but will boost up my work flow
Cause atm i am using a intergrated
I would advise checking your power supply to check that it has enough spare pins to supply it
My power supply aint gonna be the problem im comfident
600W
And about pins
Yhea that is fine
My local best buy had several in stock for msrp, along with a few 6600xt and 3060s. The world ia healing.
nice
i purchased a PSU cable instead
and a new 500W supply
cause i figured out mine is from Xilencer
which sucks
so i bought a be quiet gold
Anyone know how long i can leave out an opened tube of thermal paste( nt-h1)?
so i want to buy the hyte y60 but is it like they say it is? and would you recomend
does anyone know what fans are used by skytech gaming in their custom prebuilts
huh?
@noble oak the fans dont matter too much unless youre running something crazy powerful. I recommend you get Noctua fans. Noctua fans are some of the most high rated in the world and affordable.
Wouldn't call noctua affordable
The fans used in the prebuilt looks like noctua it doesnt say though but it looks like them @winged gyro
expensive but made to last and be quiet
he's not saying it's bad, just that they aren't the fans in the skytech prebuilts
because of the qualities he mentioned
but them brown fans are ugly tho lol
arctic makes good fans as well as seen in some tests
I like noctuas, but im saying that those reasons are why skytech would never use them
@white sequoia true thats why skytech wouldnt use them but they are not expensive. check the benchmarks on temps, you get what you pay for.
Read people
they are definitely expensive...
no point in me arguing whether its expensive or not. that just depends on what you value in the product. if you think its expensive then I believe you. for me its not
in terms of raw price noctuas are some of the most expensive fans
expensive doesn't mean bad value
i own noctuas myself
but objectively they are expensive
I know someone with noctuas and they are quiet as hecc
dont over pay for noctua unles u really care abt sound i run stock nzxt fans in an nzxt 510 elite case with a 3080ti that never goes above 80c and a i9 10900k with a 280 rad that never goes above 40c
plus u wont even hear fans with head phones on anyway imo nocs are just a total waste of money
10900k? What clocks are you running? Just curious
Clocks and voltages even
👀👀
base no real need to oc anything for me
Non overclocked 10900k

Oh actually looking at those speeds goddamn it’s doin a great job anyways
oh well lol it looks good. I’m jealous
#nooverclockinggang
i currently have 7.2 GB ranm and i want to upgrade it. is 16 good? also any place i should buy it from?
16gb is great, i like crucial ram but corsair and gskill a also pretty good
Speed and type will depend on what cpu and mobo u have
Saved Part Lists
i heard bad stuff abt evga power supplies but idk
rip Ballistix :(
evga psu's explode
can someone tell me if the gigabyte b660m ds3h will work fine with the i5 12400f
It should be fine
thank you
Regarding the same cpu Mr Gex is referring to, would someone mind listing a fairly good motherboard that the 3060 ti would be compatible with?
(That is also compatible with the 12400f of course)
I dont think u understand how gpus work
lian li unis or STs
what specs would yall put into a pc for 2700$
cè un italiano???
what
I7 12700k and 6800xt
Or 3080
mhm
They need to understand that if there is the (I'm 270 miles from my pc so I can't fully remember) PCIE ×16 slot (I think that is the right thing) thingy on the motherboard it can hold the gpu
Yes
3000 series card. You can get AMD just depends what you want to do with your machine. i7 or i9. 16/32Gb RAM
i would say 80 tier or 90 tier for that price
i want a nvida fsfs i got a amd rn and i dont really like how there setup with stuff is @dapper grotto soo i just dont rlly know tht much about pc's so thats why im asking for good pc specs
You want to build your own or buy a pre-build?
I would certainly rather build my own
you want to build your own or buy pre-build? (*
are you in the united states?
Yeah?
for pricing info*
give me like 15-20 mins going to grab my dunkin coffee and I can tell you what would be MIN/MAX for your budget
I already know this stuff
you said $2700 including everything right?
Not me
This guy
I tried replying to @tropic arrow but it would keep grabbing you for some reason
Weird
it is
he should just get a 3080 12 GB or 3080ti
they are so cheap the 3080 12GB
MSRP
Or 6800xt
nahh i want to build it my self i alrady got a prebuild and uit sucks ass
but i want nvida i dont want amd i alrady got a amd
get like a 3080 12GB
or get 3080ti
on new egg the 3080 12GB is MSRP certain days and they are in stock for a long time
alright thanks
your motherboard is most important though. Everything starts from there
then you choose everything else
you want to FUTURE PROOF your system
any questions about anything tech related I got you
be back in a bit
Not a thing
I disagree on that statement as well
100% is is
Figure out what you want to do with the pc, then choose your parts
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt
I wouldn't say start with the motherboard
Mobo comes after cpu
And I wouldn't say future proofing is viable for all applications
future proof as in not for your lifetime but be up to date for X amount of years
same applies with networkings
That's called constant updating
you always buy a separate modem and separate router to future proof
same concept applies to PC's
like I said I'll be back in a bit
You never know when there will be a 50% perf jump or a game like crysis just around the corner
Hi, I am building a pc with a ASUS prime b660m-a Wi-Fi d4 with Bits power 3 pack RGB BPTA NOTOS 120m fans and I don't know where to plug in the RGB pins in the motherboard. I only have a 4 pin RGB header pin but my fans pin is a 3 pin
i currently have a 760gtx and am looking to upgrade to a (2nd hand) graphics card with a budget of £250 ($313.60) im looking at the nvidia 2060 or the 1660 super or the 1070ti, what do you think i should get (im buying from CEX (https://webuy.com/ ) because i have vouchers)
If u can find a 2060 that cheap then that one is best
I cant check their prices tho
It says access denied
£230
same as 1660 super
1070 ti is £210
it beats the 1660super
1070ti looks like it has better raster, but it doesnt have any raytracing, and it doesnt have dlss
i would go with the 2060
kk thnx
So um I've been thinking of buying a new pc for gaming at 1080p, 30-60fps (any game). What's the price approximately and is it recommended to buy a prebuilt or build it on my own in this case?
Do you have any budget idea?
Around 1k
I always say byo, but some people just cant
For 1k, i5 + older gpu
Like a 2060 maybe
Yes
Building your own is so fun
Alright
True
İ Built yesterday
and it cost $2250
İ am from turkey
1 dollar = 17 Turkish liras
it cost 40.000tl
Pain
tf do you have in that pc
Yes
yeah mine too
Pathetic
nice
I got a 1060 and i7 8700 for $5 lol
congrats
There's a store near me that buys broken products that gets insuranced, found a busted pc with that^ in it. Put in a 2070 Super, has been at my side for years
Nah 1200 isn't bad for that pc tho
Specially with a 3600
Not a bad find
the website i got it on has many good pcs for a good price and u can configure them aswell and either pick to build urself and save some money or prebuilt
Yea my brother just got a pc, I can't think of what it is from for the life of me, but he paid like 1500 or 1600 for a 3070ti, i9 8 core don't know what model, and 16gb of like 5200 ram
i think gtx 1060 İs not good
its fine
Well like I said, I put a 2070 super in it after a while. But for legit $5, I don't think there's such a thing as a bad deal lol
Yea I mean I used that card for like 3 years in a different pc. Solid card
Especially for 1080p
Keep in mind this was also right after the 20 series was announced, so especially at the time it was a helluva find
I9 8 core would be 9900k or 11900k, more likely the latter, which is sad because that cpu was pretty bad tbh
10900k had more cores and was faster
1060 still is the most popular gpu on steam
I just looked at his parts list, it was actually an i7 12700k
Yea I see 8 processor and I think 8 core lol
Or sorry 8 P cores or whatever
I think Cyberpower built it for him
They had a promo where you could get a bunch of free upgrades
So it was like 1500 or 1600 for 12700k, 3070ti, 16gb 5600 ram, AIO water cooler, they overclocked it for him
Bunch of good shit for the price
This good?
(i dont rlly need: storage, GPU. as i have them in my current pc and they are 2~ years old (3 more year livespan on it) )
yes
me vibing with a ryzen 5 3600
R5 3600 was a better deal than i9 11900k tbh
This isn't exactly a question about building the pc, but is instead a question about monitors.
I'm planning on getting a second monitor but don't know what brand to look at for monitor mounts, and I don't want to risk buying a cheap one that breaks.
Any suggestions on brands?
honestly the basic desk stand that comes with is fine if you have desk space (obviously unless you are going for vertical monitor/vertical stack))
how do y'all feel about this: (r9 390x is for power consumption estimates)
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pCwdqm
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-6700, Radeon R9 390X, Antec NX260 ATX Mid Tower
Keeping it under 500, already have cpu, ram, and hdd, used for light gaming. GPU will be whichever r9 card i can find cheapest (390, 390x, fury, furyx)
should i get two 240hz monitors
If u want 2 240hz monitors then sure
How can I tell if my Motherboard is High Res Audio capable?
Horrible for the price
Guys i want to be able to sync my case fans but i need a 4 pin argb cable to be able to plug in to white coloured rgb headers but i can't find anything about this pin so can you guys can reccomend me a 3pin to 4pin argb (female) cable
RGB is 4 pin.
ARGB is 3 pin.
Yes
No argb is can be 4 pins in my mb
Anyway i bought this:
https://www.amazon.com.tr/dp/B08HRZ4CB2/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_XD0G5Z7YBR08Z1N3P8MJ
Not: RGB dönüştürücü RGB kontrol cihazına bağlanamaz ve doğrudan 12 V RGB ana karta bağlanmalıdır.
helloo so uh I need a gaming pc for streaming and content creation and honestly my knowledge in pc parts isn't that great
id prob be making unreal engines animation as well
budget is like 900 i think or 1000 since am getting this pc for my birthday
Unreal 5 or 4?
5 likes more ram than 4
Or 1000, i5 + 6600 if u can get a good price or 3050
unreal 5
I don't think we got micro center in uk
Wait till GPU crisis is over.
Or build the PC and get a GT 710 for display out.
it is pretty over
not gonna be better in a year
What ever is the best u have the money for and it is available. Not lower then 3060ti (which is great) if you can find it ofc.
Thank you!
Ah
Depends on where your bar for performance is - my bar was at GTX 980, so when I upgraded to an RTX 2060 it was still a marked upgrade in performance. If your bar is at 2080, then 3060 is a very marked increase in performance. If you're coming from integrated graphics then I don't see why not go balls-to-the-wall if you got the budget for it and you can find something for it.
Appreciated
A 2080 to 3060 isnt a massive increase in performance, iirc the 3060ti barely outperformed it, which is cool - nice generational leap - but there is no reason to go from a 2080 to a 3060
They are effectively the same.
What would be the most optimal place for the external fan?
Actually. I have the radiator
Could I mount it ?
Imma try do mount the be quiet radiator
why did you buy a laptop if ur just gonna do this?
At the time I didn't think I was going to game much anymore
As I didn't game for a long time when I bought the msi gf65
how does the cooler even do anything? Its just sitting on it?
The radiator? Its on four copper lines, two coming from GPU two from CPU, with thermal paste ofc
XTU Benchmark before was 2217 now its 2261
the pipes carry heat inside thru water, not tru the copper
it barely makes a difference
not much better
Also, there is no way there is water inside them
They should go in a circle then
But they have dead ends
Thats new info to me
Thought they move the heat themself
but the raditoar gets hots
the added radiator gets hot/warm
and if I hold my hand out, I can feel the warm air that the fan is pushing through the radiator
so it is pulling heat
Intresting
it looks like u mounted the cooler on the condenser section, so that would make it work
i still would not do that tho lmao
I was tired of getting 95 degrees CPU at idle
also the thermal paste applied by the factory was awful
@white sequoia one of my copper lines has a dent on it as the cooler fell over once and hit it
Is that a problem ?
Maybe, im not an expert
There are other pipes tho
ye
yall what should I upgrade for better frames? Cpu (Currently have Ryzen 5 5600g) or GPU (Currently have 3060)?
warzone
neither of those should be holding you back much
ig but I just wanna hit solid 144 frames
I have the same cpu... also... how much ram?
@noble oak
16 gb, 3200 MHz
Then CPU is the problem for sure
@noble oak If you are just going for 144FPS ... dont even build a PC.... look at like the Asus RoG g14's and the monitor you want 😛 it does 144hrz 2k external monitor no issue... the laptop its self has a 144hrz in it... and its only 1100.....
(1100-1300)
I have the same cpu and a 3050 and it is definitely the limiting factor for me
@noble oak @nocturne folio oh lordy.... you 2... are you guys actually using the 5600g? if so your limiting factor is NOT the CPU its the bredth of your windows knowledge.
... sec I will get steps for you to fix your issue.
Keep in mind I don't have funds lol
Windows key > gpu > Graphics settings
In this screen you will see Custom options for app's
click browse go find ALL of the exe's for the game you are playing launchers actual game client files... anything that is app / exe. Select it
It will now appear in list there. Click on it You will see a button appear called options
click high performance.
IF you do not do this you are using your 5600G as the CPU and GPU for almost EVERY app / game on the laptop.
(yes it will show you using your "GPU" but your not using the deticated GPU your using the APU)
I already had that setup... I get 100fps or so on Enlisted max settings but in the future eventually I will be upgrading cpu
What title? cause your doing something wrong bruv... My GPU is 30% slower than yours and I pull 200+ In most titles I play.
What resolution monitor are you trying to drive with the 3050?
and how many of them.
OHHHHH enlisted...
That is Dragor Engine... it ummm kinda sorta has absurdly poor thread optimization. @nocturne folio a really fast quadcore will be faster than a 5950x
well that was just an example...
Shoot me a DM we can schedule a time to chat cause still a few things you could do probably.
hey don't worry about it bro
Hehe I do programing and competitive overclocking man... this is kinda my stick.
The 5600g is a desktop cpu
I have done a 5600G - NoGPU / 3060 / 6600xt / 6900xtxh / 3090ti. Did each of them with multiple cooling solutions from OpenAir v Case (fanonly)
O v C v Sealed (WC and ChilledWC and bastardized EKWB sealed LN2 Tek plate) sooooo kinda know it fairly well.
Yea depending on what patch / windows flare the hybrid / laptop power settings have crept into desktop versions a couple times.
I guess thats windows being stupid again
Yea... windows 11 why great in theroy and for anyone running 21:9 3:2 32:9 monitor's has just had MAJOR weird crap.
AKA if you do NOT use a pin but ALWAYS enter password the OS operates 17% faster overall and its SSD access time is almost doubled.
BUT hey... WE FINALLY GOT TABBED WINDOWS EXPLORER!!!
Why i hope linux starts getting better support soon
I could have sworn linux was just a legacy thing... until recently I didn't realise it was an actively used thing
@nocturne folio Yea. My programing mentor didnt belive me so I removed his pin and disabled it in reg... he was peeved at first but later in day he buzzed me and was like... "Dood... I am sorry you were right I went to open OBS to record a interview and it opened in under a second... I was having to wait like 10-15 seconds before)
Steam deck uses linux
Android is linux
ChromeOS is linux
MacOS is based on BSD
Same with ios
Servers use Linux
lmao I had no idea
@nocturne folio @white sequoia
Actually now with windows 11 you can install windows like linux from commandline only... and have EXTREMELY granular control of what all windows parts are operating and functional.
oh wow
@white sequoia Android uses BASTARDIZED linux.... aka mono.
Yea my mentor is a huge Linux guy... but he also uses git from commandline line a pleb cause he think it makes him look cool.
Eh windows is fine... just gotta have a fairly large pool of knowledge.
<----- filthy scrub... I just use VS built in git....
I use Jetbrains IDEs
yea was about to say for cherry pick i use rider.
Sometimes i use the git in jetbrains so i dont have to use keys and access tokens
Rider beats VS for me
But I am kinda stuck on VS. Cause I do Xamarin / Maui.
I love rider but umm... go do mobile on it. you will cry.
I use Rider for Unity and Unreal mostly
No hot refresh / hot reload
CLion for pure cpp and rust
Yeah because those break everything
mmmm rust... wanted to get into that for a bit.
Even on VS i close the editor
ummmm they work great in VS transpiles the code instead of compiles
But even then I use resharper for the builder.
It wrecks my blueprints
Unity compiles stuff itself
Rider has great ue integration
And its ui is sooo much better
Gotta run out here and talk to a guy about a horse... aka get vape juice and nspresso
Ok
yeah ima just prob buy a new cpu
the 5600g should not limit you
How much rtx3090ti?
depends what brand you go for and where in the world you are
search on the internet and look around a little for a good price
not worth the money, just buy a rtx 3060/3070
Or just the 3090 no ti if u need the vram
3080ti is the same die as a 3090 just with less vram
6900xt is cheaper than 3090 in some places so i would go with that if i wanted a high end gpu
or just go with 3060 or smt like that
Bruh
Guys i can't sync my rgb fans with aura sync
Why would someone who wants a high end gpu buy mid range
They're staying on the rainbow effect
Well then its not aura sync then
See?
My other rgb components are synced to the aura sync
But my fans are not synced
Then they may not support it
Wdym?
Did u plug them into motherboard rgb headers?
Yes
And my case and mb supports aura sync
Idk what is happening rn
I reinstalled the armoury crate with aura crate
And tried other solutions
But all of them can't fix at all
What should i do
Idk
Even the fans are connected but they won't sync
probably best to ask on r/buildapc or stuff like that
Posted lul
I tried wvery reccomended program suggested by in r/buildapc subreddit members but all of them won't work it at all
What should i do
can someone help me with xmp profiles
my I put my thing on profile1 and my ram speed is still running 2133 mhz
what's you're ram rated for? and what kind of CPU and motherboard?
wdym by my ram rated for
what mhz came on the box?
yes? I'm looking at your motherboard stuff
https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_am4_4L4D_vermeer.pdf?v=390bb5e1cba06dbd4601a1444a6ddffd Your ram is on this list right? I imagine it will be just making sure
uh
and is xmp profile 2 an option? If so it means the memory is supported and should probably configure it self for you according to the manual
That should be supported as far as I can tell. Make sure you have the latest bios incase it wasn't included in the shipped bios.
how do I know if it’s the latest one
I looked it up and the latest one looks the same as mine
idk if doesn't work under either xmp profile I would say try contacting gigabyte.
Edit: fixed. and ALL I HAVE TO DO IS
PRESSING THE RGB LED BUTTON ON THE CASE AND HOLD IT WHEN FAN RGB'S SYNC
bruh
lol
where can I get rgb ethernet cables?
Lol
Outer space
guys what does socket support mean
is that how many ram sticks of the same ones can be installed?
im stuck between the i7 11700k or the i9 11700k there is a 100$ price difference in both looking for anyones 2 cents 🙂 every opinion helps 🙂 I game and stream daily and have a 3060ti to pair it with.
I'd go with neither unless you're stuck with an LGA1200 board
yes
which board do you have?
im upgrading anyways. I figured out what I am going to do thanks though
anyone know how to fix this?
well that message disappeared quickly
10900k
If u must have an i9
If i take a pic from google and set it as my Wallpaper its so blurry for some reason does anyone know wht
Why*
Well which channel am i supposed to use
Come dms if u wanna help
This looks like the worst thermal paste appliing ever
Yeah😅 its way to much.. But it covers the whole chip
yeah looks fine, just too much
does the rx 6500 xt have ray tracing
heard of google?
yes
You could easily have just Googled it
But if you look in more detail it’s not going to give you much playable performance.
Heard of it was just a suggestion?
yea but at least you can take nice screen shots
Anyone here play Fortnite??
me
Nice! On PC or console?
is it good to buy a gaming pc from amazon or bestbuy
Best idea is to buy from parts but if it is a first pc then either
should i build one or gett a prebuilt one
is it your first pc
yes
pccc
Generally you save money building it yourself
But it can be difficult
The motherboard usually comes with a guide or something to give you an idea where to plug stuff in
If it's new
There are also tons of guides on YouTube if you need visuals
And don't be afraid to mix brands as they will all work together. The benefit of using the same company is that you only need one software for rgb
The part you should care about the most is the power supply as cheap ones can be a hazard. I've been using a Corsair one and haven't had any issues with it
If it's a safe one it will have a badge saying 80 plus bronze or gold rated
There are platinum rated ones but they are less common
If you do get a pre built though, just make sure the ram is in dual channel
And if ur getting the parts new take a picture of the part with receipt if u get a warranty just so you have proof.
One thing to note: DO NOT MIX RAM SPEEDS
And make sure your motherboard can handle the ram speed you buy your ram at
Like an x570 board won't work with ddr5 ram
That's not speed
There's physical differences between ddr4 and ddr5
oh
Will the 12400f with chipset Z690 be compatible on a mobo with chipset B660?
The sockets are matching but this chipsets are not the same. That's why im asking
I want to buy steel series mini thing the 60% one but it says 1 600 sek (160 usd) but when I go to checkout it says 2 300 sek (230 usd) why
And now it just says 230 usd tf
What’s the actual price of the SteelSeries apex pro mini?
per my 2 second google search:
Wired: $180 USD
Wireless: $240
(american based search)
Then why did it show me that it was 160
Best guess is that it's due to a bug in the currency exchange rate converter.
or a lag.
anyone know of a good riser that works with a 3080Ti? last one i used almost made me think my psu was broken lmao
Hi . pls give me good seting keyboards Apex 3 TLI
I suggest using an infinity stone. All power problems will be gone in a snap.
so i guess nobody knows one?
lmao
fantastic 4000+ fps on gta 5 max graphics
PC Builder - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6600, Antec NX410 ATX Mid Tower
Yeah should be good for gaming! I would recommend a NVIDIA gpu mainly because I’ve always had a terrible time with amd software (5600M, 6700XT and current gpu 6900 XT)
Ah but alas, nothing beats that price/performance
I would have recommended a GTX 1660 but those are slightly worse and more expensive and same can be said with all of nvidias cards, the part where it’s more expensive
@paper sapphire Are you a good shot to tag for this?
If it was for the spam above, thank you!
It's one of those every channel guys
I bought the arctis pro wireless headset a few months back in black and I was really wanting white but at the time it was a 3 month wait. My setup is predominantly white so does anyone know anywhere that makes good quality white caps, ski straps if it’s replaceable or just white decor for the headset itself ?
Hey guys, looking to upgrade my PC:
I'm rocking a NZXT h510 case
10700K with a NZXT x53 kraken cooler (280mm I think)
32gb of Corsair Vengeance Ram @ 3600 I think
some mid-grade MSI motherboard
and a Asus RTX 3060
(4tb of barracuda SSHD + 1tb 980 pro)
and some various NZXT lighting, two AER RGB fans, and two light strips (only one works because it's all old gen used NZXT crap)
I'm just wondering what I should upgrade. Thinking of getting a 3080, or atleast a 3070, but would my cpu become a bottleneck?
Hey I’m looking for a new keyboard and mouse. This might be a little bias on this server, but I want to know what people are using.
no.. cpu will not be a bottleneck. I would upgrade gpu for that rig
they are asking about if they get a 3070/80 THEN would the cpu be a bottleneck
If ur new you do not need to put ur pc on the desk carpet is completely fine for it
Does look better on the desk though
(mine is currently on the floor but I plan to move it very soon)
No it doesn’t
It’s just a big block of metal with a window and some colours inside
everyone's opinion is different bro
flashy lights cool next to monitors (imo)
No chance
I use both a steelseries apex 3 TLK and a razer huntsman mini
I love the mechanical feel in the huntsman but I like the quiet + rgb steelseries apex 3
the hunstman is $80 (amazon) and the Apex 3 TLK is $45 (steelseries)
steelseries has a promo though thats fairly good, newsletter10 should work as long as you sub to the newsletter so its $40.50 without tax and shipping
So not building a pc rather repairing a laptop
I’m replacing the screen and scratched the thin sheet of metal behind the screen
Does this matter?
I think it’s to separate it from the plastic but I’m not sure
And yes the screen is removed
that's what i said lol
I'd put something under it so that that PSU isn't breathing carpet
Once again makes absolutely no difference
The cheapest gaming pc:
Intel i5 4570
Gtx 1050 ti
Psu 450w 80 bronze
H81 motherboard
Ram 8 gb (4+4)
Ssd sata 3 512gb(480gb)
.
Very cheap pc office:
I5 750
Nvidia quadro 2000
Psu 450 80+ bronze
Ram 8gb 1333mhz (4+4)
Hdd wd black/seagate barracuda 7200rpm
anyone reccomend a good aio that looks pretty good but also has great performance. preferably white
realistically you need more than 8gb to be able to game properly, atleast 16gb
Yea, 12gigs are minimum req in 2022 game
because it's cheap so 8 gb is enough
Guys im planning on building a unstoppable pc in 2 years, with a nvidea 3080 and ryzen 7 or 9 (unsure yet which)
What should i get more for it, bcs the only pc thing i dont know what is best is the motherboard-
A 3080 in two years?
Gtx 1660s still good, or gtx 1080 ti, save money bro
I already have the 1660, to slow for me
"Super version"
Yes, bcs than i plan on upgrading my entire setup bcs new house, collected like 6k already for the setup lol
3080 will be outdated at that point
Oh
Not really worth buying if you're buying high end
Than what should i go for, bcs i wanna buy best of the best
Probably a 4090 if you don't care about price
Bcs i play high graphics newest games, and stream them, so heavy for gpu and cpu
And i guess the ryzen 7 and 9 are outdated than to?
Yes, just wait for rtx 40 series
Getting a 3080 then is like buying a 2080 now, it's not a bad card performance wise, just not good price/perf, high power consumption, and not the best
Ryzen 7 and 9 aren't specific cpus
They are tiers
Rtx 2070 its solution or buying ps5
Ps5 is hard to get so isnt a option
series x and ps5 take years to arrive and sold out day 1 lol
Oh
Aliexpress solution
Ew alie
Ebay?
There are old ryzen 7 cpus and new ryzen 7 cpus so saying "ryzen 7 or 9" could mean anything
I think it showed the name 5400x or smth
If you're buying in 2 years, just see what's available then
Stuff today is likely outdated
Kay
Bcs rn i have a gtx 1060 and a ryzen 5 (dont know which)
It lags af while streaming
Thats why i need the upgrade
I7 alder lake killing all ryzen 5xxx series
Not really
Suspicius moments
Ey can you dm me that site, i could rly use it
Ah yes, userbenchmark
The blatantly biased site that cherry picks for Intel and said an old 4 core was better than a threadripper
Don't use userbenchmark
Use a reputable source like gamersnexus
But i use for rendering 3d
???
What you use your computer for doesn't affect the fact that userbenchmark is bad
So I'm not currently building a PC but I did buy one in December as prebuilt was cheaper than building currently. Recently it black screened... No idea why.. PC boots up but no signal to the monitors. its an AMD build. has an amd ryzen 7 5800x and an AMD Radeon 6700xt. 64gb ram, 1000w power supply, two 1TB ssd's. Anyone have an idea where to start? i did take the SSD from the PC im currently using and swapped it to my newer PC to try to get signal to the monitors and still no luck. No signal whether I plug the HDMI into the motherboard or Graphics card. Any advice or help would be appreciated.
You wouldn't get a signal from the motherboard even if everything works perfectly
No igpu on the 5800x
Try a different cable, different hdmi slot on the gpu, or plug the gpu into a different pcie slot
Or swap out the gpu
Basically try to eliminate any of those items I mentioned as being the problem
Guys do you know if the nzxt foundation pc can support a 3060 ti
With a 650w psu? Sure
The other components won't draw that much power
~200w for the gpu, ~125w for the cpu, ~50w for the motherboard
Ok thanks
i have a DVI and an HDMI. Neither gets signal to 2 different monitors. Have also tried Multiple HDMI cords. so next would be to swap out the GPU. Ill just have to find one that will work. My old PC has a gtx 760 so it wont work in the new PC i dont think. different plugs i believe.
Nah, the 760 will work
Unless you mean it doesn't have the right video outputs
It'll fit in the motherboard fine
i meant the power. the 760 has one 6 prong and one 8 prong connector. i think in my new prebuilt with the 6700xt its just two 8 prong connectors.
760 power draw is 170w
One 8 pin (rated for 150w) and the 75w from the pcie slot should be enough
Also the 8 pin should be a 6+2
You should be able to just leave out the 2
awesome! i will give it a shot! thanks!
🤓
Sorry but no one cares. You've posted it in every channel @noble oak
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Vkw6qm thoughts? idk how im feeling about the case(if u can suggest any good white ones max £110) and i already have the gpu !!
PC Builder - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, Cooler Master MasterBox TD500 Mesh White w/ Controller ATX Mid Tower
#archive-battlestations not here
I don't have a liquid cooler but Should i turn on the aio pump control option in bios?
no?
Idk i turned all of them to auto
Id cooling frost flow x (snow edition) easy to fit, keeps temps low (30-50 in the British heatwave) only issue is short pipes
Is it worth to upgrade to a 3070 from a 3060 for the long run?
Or should I wait for the 4000 series gpus
what res/refresh rate/games
For now i'd definitely wait
Even if the 4000 aren't great they're going to push the price for the 3070 down
And they're not that far away
that is true
me thinking of upgrading my 3070 to a 4000 series for literally no reason
Then there's me thinking of upgrading a 2080Ti to a 3080 (maybe Ti) for literally no reason either
Other than more fps :D
I meannnn honestly I look down on the 2000 series for it’s inferior rtx performance but in all fairness it’s not really that bad
superiority is expected to come as technology pushes forward
yeah
honestly not worth it, 2080 ti is rwally good and the 3080 ti is not worth the price
That is also a good point. A 4070 would probably blow a 3080ti out of the park, if they don’t match. But the 4000 series hasn’t even been released yet so what am I to say
I know I've just gotten impatient :D
1660super?
thats the one i have, it'll get you by but its not the best by far
Not building a pc bc I’m using a laptop but any suggestions for a good monitor under $300
aoc
just got a i9 12900k and 32gb ddr5 im wondering if it will bottleneck with my gtx 1650
um, yes it will
Ofc it will. Why are you even asking?
you will need at least a 3060
very much so
Lol it will but if you only play cpu intensive games it’ll be fine
good build for Warzone with the price range of 800$?
it def will
you dont need majorly good parts, just make sure you get lots if storage
and price wise your better off getting a pre built
oh okay, thanks!
buying a new pc and I’m looking for a really good gaming pc parts i have a high budget I need a high type any good ideas for parts cpu ram gpu cooling etc?
