Rn I’m using 10 pro, I honestly don’t see a reason to go to 11 yet.
paired with a ryzen 7 5800x
like thats the most unbalanced shit in the world
thats why ill get a 3080
and other stuff
also ill get new peripherals
like rn ive got an old logitech mouse and a compaq keyboard lmaooo
Ah I have all SteelSeries and my monitor is dell.
I use the super lightweight mouse, I forgot the name of it I had it for a while. It’s the one with holes on the top of it lol.
thats why ill get a wired mouse 🤣
I mean you can just plug it up and it becomes wired but I think I had it plugged up more than it’s been changed 😭
LMAO
but yeah ill get the entire package
like mouse, mousepad, keyboard and headset
ill even get prismcaps lmao
I also have the mouse pad that lights up, I got the xl that will go under my keyboard and it has plenty of room for my mouse as well, it makes my desk more pleasing
I got everything as well lol
ill also get the xl rgb one
It’s nice, I haven’t had a problem or issue. Under its rubberized and it won’t slide.
In the gg app you can customize it to all turn colors at the same time
I think it’s the gg app😭
like my peripheral setup will be:
- Arctis Pro+GameDAC
- Apex Pro
- Rival 600
- QCK Prism Cloth Xl
ikkkkkk
its pog
I have the same things other than the game dac and rival 600
Yes.
It’s probably useful but I didn’t see a need for it for me.
Check on pcpartspicker
if it doesn't flag up any issues, with motherboard and cpu there as well, you are good
There are multiple different 3080 coolers
Coolers?
the different brands that make them case them differently, with different widths and length cases for them with fans etc. For example gigabyte will have a differently sized unit for a 3080 than perhaps EVGA or whatever
this is why pcpartspicker is useful, or you need to specify which brand of 3080 you are getting
im broke. but ok
ahh kk
Robie Tanio Boosty PC

Anyone trying to get rid of their pc? Send info in dm.
Yeah im trying to get rid of this r9 5950x + 6900XT build /s
Can I just not type in here?
Ypu just did
But it won't let me put the message I want
Wanna upgrade to a pc
Just looking for tips
You came here for tips or just came here to tell us that you are looking for tips somewhere else?
There's both good and bad pre-built PC's just like there is with self-built ones
Not familiar with Cyberpowerpc though
Hm ok
yup
Cyberpower's Gamer Xtreme i3200BST almost didn't suck. It was close to being a good pre-built gaming PC, but it is at least a good foundation. We're testing thermals, gaming, & quality.

Yeah Maingear is one of the best prebuilts you can go with
im looking for tips
never realloy had a pc is there many do's or dont's?
Yes.
rather than trying to tell you flat out what to do or don't, it's better to start with what you're trying to do with it, budget, stuff like that
tips and tricks it's better to start with a youtube video from a trusted source

Do you, Wiltis, take steelseries as your lawfully wedded partner?
would anyone be able to help me finish a pc build. My brother is going to give me his 2060 and pc case so I wanted to try and and buy everything less for under 500 if y"all could help that would be great so far these are my parts (I might have a ssd)
If u have an ssd: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2y9wcb
System Builder - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Could possibly do a little work to get costs down a bit more
HDD is for capacity if u need it
Oh
Then how do u not know the cpu?
How can you never really have a pc what does that mean
like a desktop? o was a big console player most my life and only in the last 4 ish months had a "gaming" laptop which isnt really handling much
read the rules
Dont drop ur cpu
Do unplug ur pc when working on it and turn off psu
So got a quote for a custom build pc earlier today said it would cost me $2540 went and asked some friends that have built their own PC's and they said they wernt happy so asked the guy what's the go for some more info and now he's saying my friends have no idea what they're on about someone please help? Https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/VwFxsL
Very mediocre
WOW
I used the tips I got but I dont think I trust myself to build it 😬
Why would you buy a prebuild
Build it yourself. It ain't rocketscience.
But like I keep telling to everyone, GPU prices are still ridiculous. So you are better off waiting till at least the time they hit MSRP.
Oooooooh that guys full of himself lmao
You have friend that can help you build, so they may be able to help you as well
the desk inst steelseries
???
I know a little but I might be of help
Just ask here
@high mango send here, then if one person can't help then someone else can
Can u build a good pc with good fps and medium rgb for 1500 dolars
Could anyone rate this build pls https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nQ39rD
System Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, GeForce RTX 2060, Aerocool P7-C1 ATX Mid Tower
I already have the gpu, case , and maybe storage
It's for gaming
Stuff like rdr2
Could probably do better than cl22 ram
Will probably want a little better than 550w psu for future upgrades
B660 seems pretty expensive for a low end chipset, but there isnt anything else to do, 12400 is pretty good i heard
would someone be able to rate this build for me ? pls https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fdJH2m My brothers giving me his gpu and case so I need to buy everything else with a budget of about 400 dollars and I wanted to use the pc for gaming stuff like rdr2 and warzone SMOOTHLY

I have an old hard river and my brother might give me an ssd
Trying to stay under 410-420
From pure practical standpoint, it will work. From aesthetics standpoint, your eyes will bleed out each time you see your PC.
Is that a good thing or bad?
Also hold on
Ok
The motherboard is a bad choice
But what did you mean by my eyes bleeding out when ever I see my pc?

so can u guys rate it
Get this motherboard instead. Or you will be powerlimited if you ever decide to upgrade your CPU.
Hell, I am not even sure if the gigabyte board will run the 12400 at max speed.
12400f
hey can u rate my pc build
Sure, send it over.
its up there
Thanks for the help also what did you mean by. From aesthetics standpoint, your eyes will bleed out each time you see your PC.

What I mean is that it will look awful.

@high mangoWhich i5?
Which case?
A i5
How about you use PCpartpicker and send the link?
i am not in us
so we dont have some of those
And?
and hard to find
Use a custom part if you don't see the part you are looking for.
i am sending in dms
I think I told you not to..
Who are they?
I changed a few since a friend told so so I will try again
how do u send the link
just copy paste?

Meh, the whole build is a mess.
which one is outdated
Even if it's a bit more expensive, it'a worth the price.
And you will also be able yo upgrade to 13700 later on
bruh
upgrade what
which part
Are you trying to act stupid?
If so, don't do that. It's annoying.
i am new to building pc
I will make a build for you based on what you have sent me, give me a sec.
Do you already have the 1660 or you gonna buy one?
i have 1700 dolars to spend
gonna buy one
Alright, don't do that.
i am gonna buy the whole thing
why
Because it's a waste of money.
ok
GPU apocalypse is almost over. Just a few more months and you will be able to get GPUs close to the msrp.
and also
Where do you live?
turkey
well
Try to find a crappy second hand GPU that you can use for coming few months.
imma buy in 50 ays
Days*
I will buy the pc in summer
I will just get it like this year
Don’t know the exact time
Why did u asked @noble oak
And also what is this abt
I fr don’t know
Ig ping me when needed
System Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, Phanteks Eclipse P300A Mesh ATX Mid Tower
@high mango
That depends on what you can get.
I have 1700 dolars
But no, 1660 super for 400$ is not an option.
Then what is
And isn’t Corsairs ram better
The one
Ok tell me
I sended
450
576
Well, you are out of luck.
Why tho
Your best option is to get RX 6500XT. It's awful, but it's best price/perf right now.
Idc abt price
Given how all other options are like 80% over MSRP.
As long as the total is 1600-1700 for me
So get the 6500 XT, wait till september, then get an RTX 3080 or something when everyone starts panic selling them.
For like
Half the price of what they cost now.
Won’t happen in our country tho
Our economy is already bad
It will happen everywhere.
Because I said so.
Why
So no please stop asking stupid questions.
And either take my advice or stop pinging me.
No like it’s not stupid
I just asked u 2 questions that u said stupid
Nvm ty for helping
You ask me to help you with a PC build.
And then you question every decision I made despite saying that you are new to PC building.
And you proceed to ask a stupid question.
Which I also already answered.
Anyway, I have sent you my build, everything else is up to you. Good luck.
Noooooooo
Do NOT get a 6500xt
No it is NOT.
You are disregarding this dudes budget and telling them to buy something that is a waste of money
So
Can u help?
Ill allow it
Rtx 2060
Its better than a 6500xt
Like for a decent fps
Like I want a consistent 144 fps
Like Minecraft fortnite etc
If u can find an rx 6600xt for a similar price, i would go with that, but a 2060 should be okay for that
I will decide soon
You don’t have a pc?
Are we upgrading or building?
Building
Okee
You made it seem like you had one.
Get 16gb ram atleast
I have a laptop
I added like the Corsair ones
System Builder - Intel Core i5-10400, GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER, Thermaltake Versa T25 ATX Mid Tower
This
With i5 12400
And Corsair fans
And 2060
In general
Don’t get an i5
But the motherboard
Gotta switch it then
Trust me. In the long run it will be better so you don’t have to keep upgrading
I had an i5
Yeah
Still.
Still beats 5700 i think
You want me to tell him to buy a GPU at double the price?
6500xt is a waste of sand
Then hes gonna have to buy another gpu next year because of how much it sux
That will still put him at a win compared to buying an 3070 for 1000$ right now for example.
What country so u live in
Did he say how much a 6500xt was there?
Also the 2060 he was talking about is still better than a 6500xt
250$
If he can find a 2060 for the same price, then yes it's worth getting that one instead.
bruh he was talking to me
and yes i am living on turkey
Does anyone have any tips or links for items that could make a pc look cleaner because I'm planning to buy one
stuff to make my pc not look like 💩
Cable ties
essentially cable management is the only thing that will make anything with wires look cleaner
also dust it every once in a while
ok
ok
custom water cooling will be cleaner than air coolers
but they cost more and can leak
also if u want ur whole setup clean try to go with as many wireless peripherals as you can
almost there
Big brain Saucy
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Impliedcash9989/saved/#view=tVyqHx
Ok so apart from the RAM is stuff I have already (along with 16gb of other ram)
I don't know whether buying this RAM would be beneficial, or whether it is another part that would be more effective upgrading
I would love to hear your advice here
Saved Part Lists
is watercooling an itx case a smart idea if you plan on moving it a lot ie in backpack
ah shoot yeah I'll sort that mb
yeah
the ram is definitely not going to benefit you
unless u do video editing, 3d modelling something like that
No.
Zamn
i need to buy a pc for a cousin any pc build suggestions for 1 to 1.5 k?
when you say buy, do you mean a prebuilt, or building it yourself
anyone know a website to check my pc specs? I am trying to learn about pcs more
if you download msi centre and go into support tab and one of the options shows pc specs
@thin dragon
there are other tools like speccy
as well
Do you know how to change the color on a prime wireless mouse
🙏

Hwinfo
A. Wrong channel.
B. It literally asks u to install gg when u plug it in
bruh
im using the best cpu
U cpu
they just nerf the performance
and that help me alot
i cant play any game bc of weak gpu
i shouldnt buy this laptop
and which is the rly budget gpu i can buy???
what budget do you have for it
wdym
bro i just want a gud gpu for my laptop
im so stupid that i buy 7600U i7
thats worth a lot but dont do anything
dont laptops usually run on integrated graphics, i assume u need a external gpu
its just a stupid cpu that save up some power
agree
laptops are horrible for gaming imo
they overheat too easily
10700k have a same price but its frickin better
yes and its a elite book
wait what
hey what jsut happen?
im scare
you can't type ni:tro
do u already have the casing for the external graphics card, if not u gonna need atleast 700$ budget for the casing + a decent graphics card
lets go play mario :)
actually nvm, im new to external graphics cards and turns out there are also ones that have both for like 400-500
im looking shit up as we speak
e gpu
just buy a decent pc... sell the laptop
how much did the laptop cost you
hmm let see i dunno let just look at the code
yeah i got a decdntly powerful pc for just around 750$
not the best if u want to play really high quality stuff and i still need to get a ssd but i run most games on medium-high graphics with 150+ fps
I got a pc with ryzen 5 5600g for £639
Nice
hsn-104c dunno
just bought a 3050 for £370 + upgraded psu to support
ok
pc is pound for pound more effective I believe
yes they nerf laptop perfromance
i used to love mee6 but now every time it pop up im scare bc i dont want to get banned
dead chat
~1200$
you can get a great pc
lol is it returnable?
6 months
cant
i can only sell it for like 1100$ now
if someone buy it
i dont even think they will
oh idle
not joking, the gpu got 100% when i turn roblox on
91%~97%
that is horrifying
wdym?
the perfromance section
its look rly cool
better than window 10
sth like this
that look rly cool
you have windows 10 though right?
yes
U cant take a laptop cpu out of a laptop
what could i buy that would make my pc better
Ram and GPU
(if u play valorant get a better cpu)
Ok thanks
I just play games for performance not graphics
which games
better gpu = more fps
But for some games its better cpu = more fps
Whats your budget
Apex, fortnite, Minecraft, and some random games
GPU and ram
Ok
i know
RAM. At all costs.
Def ram
Testing new hardware!
Does after GPU change I am must to reinstall my operation system?
No
No, you just need to do a graphics card driver reinstall and you’re good to go.
Lol
i would start with ram tbh since thats like the cheapest thing to upgrade and will make alot of difference
super, thx
How much ram is good
16 is enough for most gamers unless you have a ton of stuff open
Always start with gpu when building gaming pc
Cpu would be next after gpu.. Because cpus r easier to get than gpus
16gb
Is there anything bigger than 16?
Yeah
64, 128, ........
Overkill unless one is a into programing/devs or servers
My desktop has 128gb I barely use 16 of that lol
If you edit more is essential but if mostly game you don’t need more
I have an i5 2500k and 1050 ti among other things in my pc I should probably upgrade
yes
Idea here, thin semi open pc case mounted to the bottom of a Subaru engine block with custom water cooling system running though the block with the water reservoirs poking out the cylinders.
Maybe what subaru
is this bad?
nah its okay
well a bit to low ram
i would recommend 3200mht 2x 8gb
better would be like 3600mhz cuz its a ryzen cpu
sounds like the shape of one of them ancient monitors from an 80s/90s pc
I'm using a 75hz monitor as my second display rn lol
Originally it was my first gaming display I got when I built my first rig
I still have my old one
that is quite a sight
So that's why my 4 year old school coputer feels slow...
Lmaooo 32gb ssd
Imao
good budget laptop i recommend upgrading to 16 gigs of ram
at least u got 4 cores
my middle school had pentium laptops with 128gb ssds my high school got moderately old macbook airs (i5) (8gb of ram) (128 gb ssd some have 256)
i found this pc on this website called overkill is it good or is there one with same specs cheaper somewhere else?
They have a discord server. Would you like me to send an invite? It is a really Great community and they help alot if you wanna buy/build a pc
This is YOUR cart. It just says you have no items in your cart for everyone else
Yes
was that a yes that i should send you an invite?
Ok form looking at it, their name suits them. You can DEFINITELY get cheaper PCs with similar specs... however, they are using custom water cooling and seem to be getting the most possible performance out of it
If u want that and have the money it seems fine, but if you want to spend less, then you should look elsewhere
should I buy a TUF x570 plus for my ryzen 7? I currently have a b450M Pro 4 and its rlly bad when I have my ryzen 7 in so i havent been able to upgrade from a ryzen 5
Which ryzen 7
3700x
What do you mean by really bad
What specifically is going wrong?
And which r5 are you using
so pretty much what happens is my screen just starts like cutting alot its sort of what happens when you turn your moinitor to like 30hz and have 200fps in game
r5 2600
Updated your bios?
i tried but idk it doesnt seem to work
i gave up on putting in my ryzen 7 a while ago and i managed to get enough money for a new mobo cs i thought that might be the problem but im not 100% sure
I would expect a 3700x to handle any ram timings that a 2600x could, but if you've messed with the ram that could be another problem point
X570 plus is probably overkill though
i have messed with the ram a bit ill check that out thank you i never thought of that
12400f
price point
what prices are you getting each at?
I’m trying to get a nice keyboard mouse and mouse pad and my price range is like 300-400 US dollars
idk what to get
Apex 7, Rival 5, Arctis Prime
is AEROX 3 good?
depends
What a difference btw arctis 7 and prime?
i have it, and i love it.
Prime is essentially Arctis Pro but with a 3.5mm jack connector and less than half the price
It also sounds better if you properly tweak the EQ
Since you can push more power to it than the Pro.
i prefer heavy mice, and i had a rival 600. all the weights were in it. i can definitely feel a difference with the aerox 3, though. it glides easier even when the weights were out of my 600.
Or all other USB Arctis headsets.
Hm ok thanks
I have a question is apex 5 good?
in terms of keyboards, it's a budget keyboard; but it is good, yes. i've owned one in the past.
I don't know enough about it but it depends on what you want from the keyboard
personally, i would definitely look at the apex 7/7 tkl if you want true mechanical.
but it's all personal preference here.
I saw Senei Ten and I’m thinking of buying it it looks nice and good price
Apex 5 is kinda overpriced, but i think you guys have wandered into the wrong channel
Apex 5 isnt really mechanical
Qck edge, mouse depends on preference, real mechanical keyboard, smth from keychron could be a good option if you do not want rgb, or apex 7
I've tried both aerox and g pro superlight and gpro is much better
There's a pretty big price difference though
Aerox 3 is almost half the price
But I do agree. If only the G Pro X Superlight didn't use micro usb
In my opinion, the aerox 3 is pretty bad. This is because i like large heavy mice such as the g502, basilisk, or rival 650
Micro usb socket uses less pins, thats why its used in the gpro
It's a pretty bad connector though
the cable itself is horrible
actually about cables, i was using pretty old cable to charge the arctis 7. Then the mic just stopped working.
guys i need help my laptop is ten years old look
what do u need healp with?
i fixed up an old laptop my brother wanted to throw away but i relised that it has a gpu (940m) while i was looking at device maniger
i reenabled it
but it dosent seem to work
but it does detect that is is there
dos anyone know why?
Drivers?
its been up to date but i saw from task maniger that no utlisation was there when playing games
Does the laptop have optimus or a mux switch?
really stupid question. would the normal keycaps work on another keyboard like a ducky? https://steelseries.com/gaming-accessories/keyboard-keycap-set?language=uk-english
im guessing so? but im not sure.
if the keyboard has mx stems then yeah, but this is the wrong channel
mans gotta leave he said a ducky bro💀
i would not recomend buying standard SS keycaps, they are just ABS
I have apex 3, but I don't have an apex pro for comparison so I wouldn't know
Apex 3 is membrane so i cant recommend it
Though no mech keyboard will be silent
In addition, this has nothing to do with building a pc
Apex 7 red switch
im starting to see signs of life
but i got no idea
this laptop is brobly the optimus switch i think
but i do no tknowfor sure
Neither gpu seems to being used much
yeah a game wasnt booted up
but
when i did the 940 did nothing
then it went back to being dead again
thx but dw im gonna buy a laptop later anyway this one was just for me for useing remote desktop
@white sequoia
Linear switches are quiet. Clicky switches are loud. That's the rule of thumb.
Membrane is the quietest, but have fun typing on that one.
my apex 3 has been flawless so far
Mech is so much better
Keychron has pretty good prices. They even threaten the apex 3 at their price point
I know someone who got a k4 and it is very nice
thanks good to know
Yo I’m trying to find parts for a pc and tell me if this is good or if I should change something.. Ryzen 9 5900x, 64 gb ram ddr4 3200mhz, rtx 3050, 750 watt psu, and a MSI MAG B550M Mortar WiFi Gaming Motherboard
What are you using it for
That gpu and CPU are pretty imbalanced
Unless you're using applications that only use cpu rendering or computation
bruh what
I mean It would be for gaming/recording/streaming/3D renders. I was thinking of maybe a 3060 instead of the 3050
definitely imbalanced
spend a couplw more dollars get 32
Definitely 3060 or above for that
I will give u a pass this one time
940😍
Its an old show laptop gpu💀
It worked I used ddu and reinstalled drivers
I feel like nobody can read anymore
the best gaming stuff
what's reading
i9-12900k, RTX 3090TI, 128GB DDR5 5000mhz ram, 8TB M.2 Samsung SSD
Only 5000mhz on ddr5?
Also the 8tb samsung SSDs aren't that fast. The qvo is sata and the nvme server drive only has 3100/2000 r/w
I mean new cpu can do 128GB ram
12th gen
soo why not?
This would be one hell of a workstation
I mean DDR5 goes up to like 768gb per Dimm now
?
ddr5 frequency is much faster than ddr4
the cas latency is higher because of that
Cas latency is just a very confusing measurement in general
For people that aren't familiar with it
sure, but frequency on its own means very little
Is a 6600 better than a 1660 super
In terms of raw performance, yes
The 6600 is 2 generations newer and 1 tier higher
https://www.logicalincrements.com/articles/graphicscardcomparison rough guideline for gaming performance
Don't take it as absolute but it's a good starting point
What about a 6700 xt vs a 3060
@crimson scroll
Don't ping mods
Sorry
Rasterized perf?
Non ray tracing
6700xt should still put up a decent fight in rt vs 3060
6700xt thrashes 3060 in raster tho
12900k if u have cheap power and same for 3090ti
6900xt if u like linux or low (relatively) power bills
5950x if u have the mobo or cooler already
that is some vague advice
Ah yes, lets spend 400 on ddr4 4800 ram that will offer no performance improvement over 3600 ram
true
Ddr6 op
we have the same gpu lol
how old is that gpu?
idk
all good
ok ok
Hi
bruh what is that gpu thats so old

your first problem is an amd cpu :p
at least a 11900k
I have had thew 5900k and i now have the 12900k but i used the 11900k.. depends on budget but gaming wise intel currently performs better
im just not a fan of intel
and all of my friends who have pcs recommended that one
i use a macbook rn for gaming
Idk why... intel is better
have never even owned a pc
ppl who recommend amd and hate intel are just fanboys and are not looking at performance
me and my macbook
I had amd when it was better then intel but currently intel is better
Im going off performance
but if you want the best get a intel 12900k and your mobo will have to be a z690
new chipset
also you have the new ddr5 mem
idrk much about what ur saying to be quite honest
Im going off the rails but again when switching to a desktop... upgrades are available almost every 6 months so getting the best will let your pc last longer
all good i build pc's lol but alot of people will just say "this is the best" when its more "I like this because im a fan" when they are not seeing the performance difference each gen offers
z690 is the newest motherboards
which offers compatability with the new intel chipset the 12900k cpu
also the new DDr5 Memory
how much difference in price would that be
technology is rapidly evolving and at faster rates. they are already announcing the next gen GPU's 40 series lol
same for the other way...
depends on the cycle lol
what we should really be looking at is what is he using the computer for
and what's the budget
I’ve pretty much maxed the budget
I’ve bought the monitor and mouse I want
Still need a headset and keyboard
But I know which ones I want
So it’s just a matter of buying them
I’ve already spent $420 on the mouse/mousepad/monitor and then another $350 for keyboard and headset then another $1700+ tax for the computer parts themselves
Well this guy wants to help and seems to want to be the smarter one so instead of arguing ill let him help you since he wants to point out the obvious instead of helping you learn your PC a little more
he is a moderator so that means he is better
good luck friend or DM me for more
snarky today, aren't we
can say the same for you moderator
How about helping the guy and give advice instead of commenting on what I said?
headset and keyboard will opinion based as it depends on what you play but I like the Logitech X pro headset and the Corsair K70 rgb pro gaming keyboard
coming from someone who has bought all brands, this was my personal fav
i'm commenting on what you said because it wasn't entirely accurate. I wasn't attacking you. Now drop it
Its entirely accurate lol but you want me to drop it because you said so? How about you dont come off like an entitled prick. Just stating performance facts of the current tech... sorry you cant handle that moderator.... but ill stop now and sorry for helping somone else... but you do you mr moderator...
Hi Everyone! Anyone got any 240hz monitors they would recommend
when gaming the normal temp is between 60° C and 70° C
80° C means toaster
risk of overheating, so you should not reach 80
That's perfectly fine.
80 is when you should start questioning your cooler.
this one is pretty solid and is on sale for like $120 off
if u dont wanna click the link just look up 27 inch curved samsung odysssey 240 hz monitor
its $279.99 instead of 399.99 rn
is there one in the Uk?
is this good
or this
itd not
Rip
what's your budget
like 150-250
do you want ultrawide?
and do you care more about higher resolution or higher refresh rate
lg ultragear has some at that price, but without any wanted specs its hard to help
gigabyte 32 inch curved is nice my friend has one and I just bought one it’s around $330 with tax and shipping tho
32” 2560x1440 VA Display with 165Hz Refresh Rate, 1 ms Response Time Native 1500R Curvature Improved Gaming Experience with G-Sync Compatible Smooth Gameplay with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro VESA Display HDR400 and 93% DCI-P3 GIGABYTE Classic Tactical Features with OSD Sidekick GIGABYTE Auto-Update ...
I got it off NewEgg bc it has a $20 off promo on Newegg rn
Ah yes, 330. Definitely less than 250
lol it was just a recommendation
meh
basically a closed off case and last gen parts
even if you plan on upgrading the ram it would be better to just get some that's got more appropriate speeds from the beginning
699 is ehh value for it
wait i thought that was 1650
is okay i guess
ram is terrible tho, one stick of 3000mhz on ryzen
can anyone rate this build? I plan on getting this if my parents agree
oh i forgot the aio
Cooler Master MASTERLIQUID ML240L RGB V2 65.59 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
i just plan on playing minecraft fortnite and stuff like that
Ill say 8/10
hmm ok thanks
A solid build. really solid build :oo
thank you. im surprised it turned out well even though i was on a budget
like 1.3 k
euros
Yea and looking at it in more detail to make SURE it's good, that is really solid. a lot of possibility for upgrades in the future, and even for the present it'll smash in any video game, literally any.
Yeah. I don't plan to play any AAA games, but it definetly could run it if I adjust a few settings. Thank you!
Can go with a 12400 and it'll probably be cheaper. That 500gb ssd seems overpriced especially for gen3
Looks okay otherwise, could probably downgrade the psu if you wanted
Also check out crucial ballistix ram, they've had some sales recently and it has higher potential than corsair in general
Alright thanks
6600xt is cheaper and better than 3060
Ssd is waay overpriced
Well, not necessarily
Get 1tb ssd if you can, gives you soo much more freedom
I would even trade that 2tb hdd for a 1tb if it allows you to get 1tb ssd
Can you link the build?
Alright, but its edited to some feedback from others

Hmm ok
I was just worried about my storage
You sure you want an AIO?
That cooler is expensive and also overkill
My friend recommened me to use an aio
I was planning to use the cooler that came with the cpu
5600x doesn't run that hot, you don't need one. If you want the aesthetics then sure
Unless you want an AIO for looks or you are building a 12900k system, it's not worth it.
Hmm
Wouldn't use a 240mm for a 12900k either
Alright thanks guys
There's also lots of good cheaper air coolers if you find the stock amd cooler to be too loud
Alright
What's your overall budget? I can make a list later
Gotcha
You can change the country in pcpp
It will pull from region appropriate sites
The list you have right now is for us Amazon and Newegg so prices won't always directly translate

@noble oak
Hmm
Thanks a lot!
850w is overkill for a 5600x and 3060
And when he upgrades?
Buy for now, don't try to future proof everything
Yeah I don't really plan on upgrading if I get this pc for a long time
Well PSU is the thing that's worth futureproofing. Especially with the skyrocketing CPU and GPU power draws.
If you really are sure about that, you can go lower PSU.
I'll see
I still have a lot of time until I talk to my parents about it
One more question
How much do you care about looks? I may be able to find more fitting parts for you.
Hmm
Well first off im aiming for a white lights
and then a full black components
Looks are not that important
of course if it just had random coolers and so and looked like a pc from a long time ago, I'd definetly mind
but if it looks presentable and so I'm fine if it performs well
Actually.. you are better off not even going Ryzen.
Give me 5 mins
Alright
Might not be there because I have to go
I'll check when I'm free
bye

@noble oakThis should do the trick.
Anything over 600W is overkill for a single CPU/GPU case atm tbh, (Unless you slap a power hungry GPU like the 3090 in there, then you prolly need a bit more)
Better off getting lower Watt and grabbing a Titanium/Platinum PSU so it's more efficient
In all fairness I'd pick an AMD Ryzen over Intel atm, for multiple reasons, some are actually less power hungry AND cheaper then current Intel CPU's
That's not true
750w isn't overkill for a 3090 and 12900k, especially not with an overclock
Even without going very hard on the oc
In fact it's cutting it a bit close
a 3090 wasn't being mentioned but yeah i can see that haha
Also I wouldn't blanket pick ryzen over Intel or vice versa
owh damn, never knew the 3090 was a power hungry fellow haha
Ok, i retract my 600W statement XD
800W would prolly be smart for a 12900K, 3090 combo XD
More if you plan Overclocking
Yeah, 300w on the cpu, 400w on the gpu
Think a ryzen 5950x would be a cheaper alternative, should be around the same performance level
Plus a couple here and there for fans, drives, the mobo
might even draw less power then the 12900K but not 100% sure
500 on the 3090 actually, it has a 450-480w Draw from what i read earlier
then again same page says the 5950x draws only 105 which is prolly inaccurate, if it starts boosting it's prolly 150-175
i believe the 5900x draws 142w in boost last time i checked mine
according to this chart the 5950x actually grabs 183W during PBO XD
My 5800X grabs about 130 on full load.
Not sure if i have PBO enabled tbh i can't get mine to go over 110W haha
Follow this guide for PBO, made a huge difference for me.

Will both get you lower temps and bigger boosts when you load up the system.
Mine doesn't generally go over 65C unless i stress only 1 core the it usually stays under 75C
You have a custom loop?
which i find funny. i can max out all cores with stresstests and it's like 65c XD
Nope 360 AiO
... are you sure your thing runs at max potential?
3.7Ghz, 4.1Ghz PBO i believe?
I think your boosting settings are messed up. If you get lower temps when all cores are active that probably means that they are downclocking themselves.
That's very bad.
Like VERY bad.
My temps don't go over 65c, they don't spike higher then 75c either
so either my PBO is nerfed or off, but the temps are fine xD
Your power is tuned wrongly. You are leaving performance on the table.
And quite a lot of it.
Follow the guide I posted. Your cpu will run faster.
no, )please don't ever use the freezer 50
i was still running 2.6
Why?
the freezer 34 esports duo absolutely crushes it while being cheaper and still being arctic
I think where I looked the 34 was actually more expensive.
And both of them are like within less than 1 degree from each other.
Depending on which review you look at.
he's talking in euro's (Europe) and were i live in europe they are abt 10€ apart
Well he did send the US version of PC Part Picker so idk
But yet 34 is definitely worth considering, I don't disagree.
ow he said in a message above his list was close to 1300€ so I am asuming he"s european
@noble oak where exactly are you from? bc the prices of some parts like coolers etc. are very region dependent and outside the us pc partpicker only uses a hand full of stores so prices may vary and local stores may actually be cheaper making you being able to either save some money or just about squeeze some better parts in
I did the undervolting thing, CPU used 7watt less and seems to be running a few degrees cooler
and as long as it's stable i don't mind XD
Can you load up cinebench and show me the clockspeeds?
No need actually
I'll prolly notice it with MC later
