It actually depends on what you do and what you need, and if budget is an issue, since switching to Ryzen requires you to buy a new motherboard. I believe you can run most, if not all, games with your specs decently assuming you have 8-16GB of RAM and plays on 1080P.

the better questions would be how old is the system and when was the last time you cleaned it? If you're only noticing the fans ramping up and temps increasing but not necessarily a performance hit or any stuttering or whatever simply cleaning out the system and repasting the CPU would probably go a long way to solving that problem

Alpha, its really simple, when you are playing games like cold war, your computer is doing more work, so it creates more heat, so the fans have to work harder to keep performance at best. You want to reduce fan noise, then either go liquid cooling, or get yourself silent fans. or, use good headphones. and turn the volume up! Its not about upgrading its about cooling, and how much heat your computer is creating vs how much your fans are having to push it out he box...... cleaning dust out of computers, and replacing thermal past, if your CPU is running hot can help too! - don't cheepskate the cost of the paste. because it is the media that transfers the heat from the CPU to your cooling system. and yes it does go off, drys out and needs replacing occasionally.

so i've got wraith prism installed for my stock amd cpu fans rgb, and I'm using mysic light to set the colour of my motherboard but I cant have it on default over other applications because then it takes over from wraith prism lighting my fan

For a very quiet pc you want good airflow, I haven't quite gotten to looking at the Corsair 5000d Airflow yet, but I heard that it's good. You might also want to look at Phanteks eclipe p400a (or p500a) and the Fractal Meshify 2 or the xl variant if you want more space. There are also other cases like Lian Li Lancool II Mesh.All these cases can be found it both black and white variants.

If you are going to use stuff like an AIO, make it push out, because otherwise you are pushing hot air in.

I myself would first find out what components I am putting in the PC, like, lets say an ATX mobo, and a 280 mm AIO, and ofc making sure that whatever GPU I want fits in it. Then find out cases that I like the look of and research on third party reviews of airflow, build quality and other features. Gamers Nexus has a ton of videos about cases, I can recommend taking a look at their channel.

It's also a good idea to look at sometimes a bit hidden features like, how much space is there for the PSU, are there any cable routing options or cable management things like rubber grommets, are the fan intake / outtake places filtered and so on

never probably, cards are just being bought like hell by miners and will be useless after they die from it

after using both for a while, wireless gets tangled less often, but if you've got decent cable management, potentially including a bungee, it's fine

doesn't look as clean though, but wireless needs recharging
