oh, right
hmm
didnt see the s
close in some games
well, ok, thanks
but generally, new hardware is almost always better
it's more power efficient and will improve with driver updates, yeah
2000 series stock designs look sexy af though imo
but thats really a minor factor i guess
inferior cooling
I need help
B450 tomahawk max
yes, what is the problem
How would I plug them in, in like what order
what do you mean order
you can plug whichever one you want in first
as long as you connect the power switch leads to the power switch plug
yes, i'm not seeing the problem
Tells me how I should plug them I.
correct
so plug them in...how it tells you to plug them in
which one you do FIRST doesn't matter
They have to go on specific headers but the order in which you plug them in doesn't matter
^
okay
Well, does your case have a USB port on the front?
i mean, the tomahawk max has plenty of front usb port headers
what case do you have
H510
🤮
K
If there's a USB port on the front of the case but no USB front panel connector then you should contact the manufacturer and get a replacement case lol
the case has one usb c 3.1 and one usb A 3.1 though
I would it be this
so yeah, it should have headers
yes
So plug that into the USB 3 header on the mobo
that's the usb 3 header
Where would I put it
The thing is connected to my psu
so you probably don't need it...
i would focus on what comes out of your case and motherboard rather than what comes out of your psu
especially if your psu is not fully modular
you need to power most things in the case, you don't need to necessarily attach everything that is on your psu
yeah so you are going to have stuff coming out of it you don't use
Pretty sure that's the USB- C header
Don’t plug it in?
no, do
Why?
that is indeed the usbc header
Is it important
if you don't you won't be able to use your front io usb c
The oval looking port on the front panel of your case is USB-C
you don't have to i guess you just won't be able to use the port
Plug that connector into the USB-C header on the motherboard
Ok
i recommend looking at the case documentation as well
that way you know what cable is what
is it a daisy chain cable
is it connected to other sata headers
it depends on what uses sata power in your pc
so if you don't have anything else that uses sata power, you don't need to plug it in
i'm guessing its a daisy chain cable, correct me if i'm wrong
the blurry one in front? looks like it, yeah
the prongs in the back? harder to tell
Mustard and ketchup cables 🤮
Do a benchmark
how?
And SSD or HDD storage ?
of SSD ?
128gb for system
and 1tb for games
i play csgo and minecraft and valorant
also i do some photoshop and other shit
but most mainly for csgo
@azure spruce
Yeah but not 240Hz
Using userbenchmark is not a good idea
most of their numbers are inaccurate or falsified, and their reviews often biased
according to userbenchmark, certain i3 are better than threadrippers
just in general
which is completely laughable
Also, if you wanna go 240Hz
You'll need a mid tier GPU, though if I'm correct, any current RTX30 series or Radeon6000 would serve you fine
The 2600 will bottleneck most current tier GPU's, so an upgrade to ryzen 5000 is recommended
they also refuse to acknowledge the gaming superiority of the 5600x and just say some nonsense about buying a 9600k
That's why links to UBM are banned on most pc subredits
PCMR is like the only one
And the UBM subreddit
i just ran a quick test
I remember UBM saying my i5-6300HQ was only 5% slower than my 3600
r5 2600, 16gb 3200cl14, 1080ti, all settings high, 1080p
What benchmark do you recommend me ?
The best benchmarks are the built in ones in games
or just messing with settings and playing them
if you're uncertain what to buy, ask experienced people
ye
true, but an RX570 will still struggle hard to get 240fps
esports titles are made to be cpu bound to get high erformance
Siege is GPU bound
Except if you're playing, like my friend, with the integrated graphics
but valo, CS, LOL,
sure
deffo CPU
past a certain point it doesn't matter
besides you should really be playing on all low for comp cs
i get 100 fps on val with vega 10 igpu
I have a RTX 2070s, so np for me
Counter Strike GO in tested on the RX 570 at 1920x1080, 1280x720 and 1024x768 resolutions - Low (competitive) and High settings.

◽️ AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - Same or similar performance...
average fps on 1080p high is 250 on the rx570
same
it's fine
Me too
30min of loading for playing at 30FPS
GTX960m and i5-6300HQ
And 1 week after the game was crashing all the time
640Cuda cores
1014MHz max speed
2GB Vram
The radeon software thingy was using like %76 of my GPU (Out of 12.0GB) so I went to the AMD website to see how to uninstall it, but now it doesn't show up in my task manager.
i think uninstalling software uninstalls drivers...
you can install just the driver without radeon software adrenalin
^
Alright. I was just annoyed by the software cause I couldn't do crap.
lol
It's an RX 570, which one do I select?
I'll use the search bar
no...
tf
i selected one randomly to show it
you can manually select...
dude context
i literally said earlier in this chat i'm using a 1080ti
ya like im gonna scroll up to read that
i don't know how to respond to that
you're saying you can't remember more than 9 messages
which is maybe a minute
clearly not
it looked like 1080 p to me
I cANt rEad
Now I'm reinstalling the software. Tf? I didn't want the software because it took up a ton of my GPU
yikes
Alright that fixed the problem. It now only uses an average of about 10% instead of 76%
But it does say I have to restart my computer so hopefully it doesn't go up
Can anyone rate my build? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/R4RWBc
Rate it on what? Also what are you using it for? Ryzen 7 2700x for 300 bucks /2060 doesn't make sense
based on just price? it sucks
don't know if they need the extra cores but yeah...could go for a 3700x at that price
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VZ7VGq
I'm building this pc with 800 dollars. the rest of the money is going to extras. thoughts?
i assume they mean the monitor and stuff isn't included in that price
but meh
if you're gonna go 3100, why not a520
that's an overpriced ssd relative to the rest of the build
no gpu listed
what are you doing with the build?
oh god this build is so wrong
they might already have one on hand
also they could swap out the rgb fans with normal fans and spend the extra money on better ram
and then swap out the fans with rgb fans later
or get a better cpu
yeah
well the 2600 has been going up so you might have to wait
get rid of the mouse
maybe get a razer deathadder essential or wait for the g502 to get on sale
get a hdd too
500 go is not enough
in my opinion I don't really like that shape of it
well the g203 is still a very solid mouse for its price
i've used mine for about 3 years now
no problems
its not the best
but its not bad for what its worth
I'd say they could've made the hump a little taller
i mean
its a normal mouse with rbg
and now its full price
he can get something way better then that
this is my build
You turned a $500 budget pc into &
$1,000
wdym
wdym
lmao
a 340 dollar motherboard with a 2600, which is currently valued at maybe 165 cad
this is not inclusing the taxes and the gpu
im not that retarted
i got the mobo on sale for 200 with taxes
ram 85
cpu 210
gpu 200
case 100
mouse 50 with taxes
put that in your pcpp instead of flooding it here
hard for us to accurately judge then
kk
da frick
bruh
i saw that tweet when i woke up
these companies are so shitty when they start losing
ray tracing may be good but im not lookign forward to it that badly
it just takes so much of my ram id rather have a better experience without it as well because of the peformance reduction
i have no idea how that relates to middle school
you're not allowed to be knowledgeable about a subject if you're not in high school or above
didn't you know?
lol
i was using sarcasm
no, it's not except for in maybe rdr2
5600x is among the best gaming cpus you can buy right now
although "can buy" is a bit misleading i guess
lmao true
if you want something in stock, wonder if a 10700 non-k is a good buy over a 3700x
better gaming performance and pretty close in multicore, and is cheaper
microcenter has been selling the 9700k for around 200 iirc
oh that's a really good deal
and the 9900k for...350?
so yeah, if you need the cores intel is now...king?
wow, that's weird to say
I dont want intel because of the motherboards that are anvailable
now we need mobo vendors to make all their shit good on the intel side
yeah if you have the money i would still recommend the 5600x
it beats out the 10900k, 9700k, 10700k, etc. in most games
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01EhbmJAW-k pretty fps charts starting at 6:15

thanks
🤦♂️ the idea is to get them to be more self sufficient
pretty hard to justify amd with some of these prices
damn
where are you looking to get those prices
thanks
Jeez

$2060 for a 3090? ouch
yikes
Big Yikes™️
meh
No SSD, 32gb ram, a $130 cooler with a 3600 and a $190 motherboard, bad airflow case
seems very imbalanced
what's your budget and what are you looking to do with the system
You don’t need to buy windows
You don’t need an x570 for an r5 3600, get rid of one of the hard drives and put an ssd and swap the ram
lol two separate kits of lpx
have you noticed we get a lot of people who toss a pcpp link in here and then never say anything else
no follow up, no request for help, just the link
mhm
lame
wish they would stop with the dumbass bundles
hopefully it stops scalpers a bit more
yeah i've seen that, it's stupid
Reason: Bad word usage
uh what
anyways i think it can work if you make overpriced bundles, the scalpers take them all, and then you hope nobody buys from the scalpers
the issue is that you're delaying how long real users will get the card
Yeah
that screenshot is tiny but that's hilarious
The Ryzen 5 3600 comes with a cooler, but
Is it worth it to buy a better one?
depends on your budget and your tolerance for noise
i upgraded the wraith stealth on my 2600 after about a year, year and half
because i had more money and it was kinda loud
i'd expect temps to peak at around 75 probably
hot would be 80+
if you run a benchmark like cinebench or prime95 you can push to 95, 100c
yo
i was thinking of a Cooler Master Hyper or something like that
so like tomaro i am going to my local costco to get a new pc
it's not just the temps though
it's also the noise
hyper 212 is fine but i think overrated now
so like idk witch pc should i get
the sse-224 and its derivatives are generally cheaper and perform slightly better
@steel anchor my recommendation is to not get a prebuilt
ok
what pc you should get should be determined by your budget and your use case
nzxt cases have poor airflow for the most part
and once i get the new one i am going to use my old one for streaming
so i will have a dual pc setup
212 is just very meh
poor quality sleeve bearing fan
crappiest mounting ever
doesn't even perform that well to today's budget air cooler standards
i recommend the se-224-xt too
What’s the first thing I should get or focus on if I wanna build a pc
the main thing you should never skimp on is the graphics card
also keep in mind with an AMD cpu really focus on fast ram such as 3600 speed and up
PC part picker is a great site to make sure everything you choose is compatible and the best price. Also you can find there pc builds other people have put together to get inspiration.
Can someone help me
Whenever I turn off my pc then boot it up again
I have to go through bios
I mean it’s not horrible just takes a few minutes which is annoying
it may be a setting in your bios itself
Oh ok
Unless its saying there is an error
Then i just recomend loading optimized defaults and see if that fixes it
Ok
itd reset your bios setting for sure
Ok
idk about your personal windows info
I looked it up and it says it wont reset your data on your drives
should be only the bios
Oh ok thank god
I was thinking of getting like 8 gigs of ram and a $15 hard drive and just putting em in and doing that lol
Yeah thts what i saw
yeah unless you know about overclocking I wouldnt recommend messing with your frequencies
Yeah
Yeah
However there are sometimes a lot of auto overclocking which like for ram intel xmp profiles is just one click
if supported ofc
You can also buy stuff factory overclocked
hey guys i have a question, where tf is mario judah?
Oh ok
amd depends on fast ram*
and it's fine with 3200+ too
yeah
Main thing to focus on is your budget and use case, what goes in your build depends on that @snow wing
So I've bought most of the parts for my first pc but not got the graphics card yet (hoping to get a 3070 after Christmas if restocked)
CPU Ryzen 7 3800x
RAM CorsairVengeance16gb 3200mz
PSU EVGA 750W BQ
M.2 Samsung EVO Plus 500gb
MB MSI B450 Tomahawk Max
HDD Seagate Barracuda 2tb
Any good reccomendations for a case? Been thinking about getting the BeQuiet Pure Base 500
P400a is really good
Hey tristan if you dont all ready have that Samsung nvme you can get a really good 1tb m.2 for the same price
Silicon Power A60 1 TB M.2-2280
Yeah I was just bringing it to light for it being the similar price and twice the capacity. The speed differemce at that point for load times and whatnot would most likely be unoticeable.
my goto for budget nvme is the a2000/sn550
there's also a sandisk that's the same as the sn550
i recently snagged me an intel 665p for like 80 bucks i think
Thanks haha I've already got all the parts at home ready, I'm just waiting on the CPU to arrive and still gotta pick the case but I'll take a look at the P400a
Sadly gonna have to wait on the graphics card for the moment until stock is sorted out 😫
What's the whole thing with new PC Cases only having 1 usb 3.0 and instead of a 2nd one having a type-c?
Everything Ive got is a 3.0 usb so dont see the need for a type c but is that something that's gonna be more common down the line
Usbc is becoming more popular in a lot of devices, that's why
Glad I'll have data to point to
I'm expecting it to not perform very well at the higher end
Now we just need apple to adopt it in their phones so we can all share a cord
good luck with that
usb literally means universal serial bus
yep
it was supposed to be single port for everything
but usb also has itself to blame
they're rumors of the next iphone having no ports
always was the phone manufacturers screwing it up for everyone
(Apple)
Micro USB and derivatives were invented because of European conservation laws
They got tired of all the E-waste from so many different types of cables, literally every model phone had a different one. So they came up with a standard that all manufacturers had to follow
i don't believe that's the truth
it's true that the EU has gotten angry at apple for proprietary connectors
but the original usb standard was developed by pc companies who wanted to make it easier to connect external devices
I mean the phone end, I agree USB A was more a PC thing. Problem is, as the standard evolved, while the USB A connector remained more or less universal, the other end did not. USB C was an attempt to change that, so everything could have the same connector on both ends. Apple's Lightning was the precursor to Type C, but of course Apple is stubborn so nobody else used it, and they haven't accepted USB C for the iPhone. Also, all the alt modes for USB C mean that it's still not really universal
just checked, the eu smartphone supply standard came out in 2009
and yes, it's annoying that usb c could mean display, or just power and file data
or any number of others
Very annoying, yes. I have a USB C on my laptop and I still have no clue quite what it supports, because there's no documentation that says specifically what standard it is, and I'm never quite sure if issues are with the adaptors or the port itself since even the hubs and converters don't support everything.
when building my keeb i had to specifically get a certain kind; device side usbc and the host side usbc cannot be interchanged
yeah, host and slave.
there are also usbc that work for both sides
that's probably the only universal thing about USB anymore
thunderbolt, audio, video out as well
needs a special chipset, yeah
much harder to solder which is why the site i used doesn't offer it
eh they won't
when a brand wants to include lightning in their device, they have to pay apple for licensing
apple = 💩
Yeah
I hate how mind controlled the majority of their customers seem to be. New product with Apple logo, "ooo lemme me get it idc".
yeah waiting to see how many people overpay for the new rebranded beats with metal
sony xm4 costs the same yeah lmao
Im meaning their wireless noise cancelling line ups
it is wireless anc...
the xm4?
oh yeah thats the name of the ones i was talking about lol
but thers 300 bucks cheaper
the only thing I would say @past quiver is had you gotten a 3070 it would've been an investment even if you couldnt use its gull potential right away
On the other hand the 3060 ti is still a monster card and a great value and by the time you use its power fully the 3070 may be cheaper or even something better by then
if you dont mind could I ask what your other parts are
🇵 🇨
typin random letters tryin to make interpret them
Unless these are just obscure acronyms
I am looking at either an 3070 or a 3080, for some high end 1440p gaming, (Of course with settings at high or max), and would like to know which model of the 3070 or 3080 you guys would recommend, my budget is about 2000 - 2500 Dollars 🙂
I'll take a look
Whichever card is in stock
Depends if you care about looks or not and what you think looks good @idle bridge
umm u do mean 2k for ur whole pc right?...
🇵🇱
yeah not terrible
one dollars 8 tl
735 for a 3060ti...ouch
there are definietly som improvements to be had but itll do
i would look for a different motherboard
ye
you can also go for a lower wattage psu
Yeah like 600 650 should do
you would be fine with 400-500
in furmark the 3060ti FE draws around 200w non-OC
the 3500x will draw less than 120w
i'd also look for different ram from vengeance
?
am i able to share an executable jar file that i made its a basic pc building chatbot in java
yall think a 650W PSU would be fine for a R5 3600 and 3060 ti?
i think it will be but some people disagree
which i think is weird
it's fine
i just posted the wattage draw of the 3500x and the 3060ti
scroll up
650 is actually right around 50% utilization under max load so it'll be efficient too
OEM part that is more of a southeast asia thing
later made available for consumers, but not in the west really
similar to the 3600 except no smt
well, similar in non-multithread applications
yeah
if you can get a 3600 for < $200 its still a great processor
everyone saying the 3600 is dead with zen 3
imo it should be 3300x for 120, 2600 for 120, 3600 for 150, 5600x for 300 right now
we've seen the 3600 for 155, it sucks to pay even 180 for it right now
honestly at the $250 prices i was seeing for some time right after zen3 launch
just go with the 10600k for gaming
fr
im trying to get a 3060 ti FE rn, but dang they are out of stock
a lot of people dont use stock coolers imo anyways
im trying to get a arctic freezer 34 esports duo rn
to replace my stock
cause coil whine
but the grey version prices: ⏫ ⏫ ⏫ ⏫
look into id cooling stuff
they have gray/blackout models of some of their coolers
should be around the same price or cheaper
yeah but the problem is i really really like the look of the 34
fair
scythe fuma 2 keeps dropping out of stock as well
ye
i kinda want a liquid freezer but damn that block ugly
and i dont need it for a 3600 xD
It's like the worst season of the worst year to try and find anything decent in stock right now tbh
frrr
https://pcpartpicker.com/ i recommend this site
way easier for us to see what you're doing
anyways, you looking for a critique or recommendations?
ummm
LMAOOOO
little deceiving name and pic my bad
Your good lol
i just assumed you were ava
Oh no
anyways ill take my leave lol have fun with saucy he;ll help you out
what are you doing with the pc and what's your budget
And for like school and other things
and it isn't worth it over the 3600 for gaming
unless your school work involves some specific applications it's trivial for modern chips
office and web browsing is super easy
I see
anyways, looks like you have access to a microcenter
Yeah I do
physical access right
Yes
okay
you can look into the 9700k at $200 at microcenter
it'll be a dead end chipset, but for pure gaming, it's a good deal
the case you've picked has poor airflow
if you like the overall aesthetic, look into the lancool 215 or lancool II mesh
the ram is fine, but if you don't mind non-LED ram you can get 3200cl16 for around $55-60
i'd also pick up an nvme drive, they're close enough or even cheaper compared to sata drives, and it's less cables to deal with
and theoretically faster
look at something like an sn550 for around the same price
i don't know what price you're getting the 2060 at
i'll make a list on microcenter's site
i don't love their selection of psus so i might honestly leave it off
so with am4, since you have access to the 5600x, you can do two things. go cheaper on the motherboard since the vrms are honestly fine on pretty much all of them, and in that case i'd go with the b550m pro4
Or, splurge a little more, get something like the b550 aorus elite v2
first one is $100, second is $160
the share button apparently doesn't work on microcenter's website
Oh okay I’ll check it out
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DpkgF8 these are the rough parts you should be going for
ignore the prices
here's the microcenter list
keep in mind they're out of stock on most gpus so you just gotta pay attention when stuff's coming in at your store
ideally you'd be going for a 3070 on the budget but they're really hard to find, at msrp and just in general, and the 5700xt is still a good card
with this build you'll be aiming for 1440p 144hz
Question whats does AMD stand for and what does it mean when it does not have AMD?
amd the company?
stands for advanced micro devices
not sure what the second part of your question is
When it says AMD what does it do?
what is "it" that you are referring to
yes
okay, good troll
?
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is a company that makes desktop PC processors and graphics cards, along with server workstations and AMD processors are what power all the Xboxs and PlayStations
A simple Google search would tell you that lmao
the powercolor is a decent choice too
Which one would you go for
really there's a couple of 5700xts i would avoid
and they mostly fixed the issues i think
i'd go for the 5700xt
The dual or triple fan one
Wym
post the link to both models
Yeah
so...the second one
Okay
How so?
Ohhhhh
more bandwidth, more stream processors, more ROPs, more texture units
Also do I have to get the ryzen 5 or could I get the ryzen 7
i mean
you could get the 3700x
it'll be worse game performance
and the 5800x is not a good buy right now
you don't gain much gaming performance, if any, over the 5600x
and you'd be better off saving money in most cases on the gpu and putting that towards a 5900x instead for production
if you're on a budget and need the extra cores for something, the 3700x has a place. Just not in your build imo
that's a vague question
there's a lot of different architectural and technological differences between the processors produced by intel and amd
but the most important thing is which one has better performance and fits your budget, for the applications you care about
and right now, the newest generation of amd cpus is better in most games
Which one has better performance out of the two
i just answered that
performance depends on application
Our review of the AMD R5 5600X CPU is now up. We're testing it mostly in gaming vs. the Intel i5-10600K crown-holder, the AMD R9 5900X, 5950X, and many others. 5800X next.

i'd watch this to get some idea of how they stack up in various applications

You're legendary
pog
Hey guys keep it in #💬-general
Old card on top, new card on bottom
Nice
😆 I love it
i know you're memeing but i spent $30 on my psu and i run a 1080ti
hey guys
so i already have an idea of what im going to build for my pc
but im not sure what motherboard ot get
Asrock b450m/ac or MSI b450m bazooka wifi?
gaming
and what's your budget
it's going to use a ryzen 5 3600
900
i already have a ryzen 5 3600 in hand
so i dont have to buy it at super inflated prices
im just really in between getting one of those two motherboards
why those two specifically
best reviewed and cheapest so far
and i've seen they're pretty popular
plus i put it in a lot of the budget for a 5600 xt
i can make a build with a 5700xt for 900
do you need wifi
then yeah
yes
i absolutely need wifi since all the ethernet ports are filled in my router
you can get another router to get more ports
imo if you can make it work, wired>wireless
oh so i should get the msi board instead of the asrock one?
it's got an extra m.2 slot and support for higher ram speeds
the reason i don't like msi is because of scalping their own products and trying to blackmail journalists
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3h9yt8 it's a bit over
you can always drop the ssd down to 500gb and it'll be below 900 then
np
$22 psu running 980ti
but the psu is actually sketchy
What is the lower card, could it be, the Zotac 3080 trinity 😳
The 3090 Trinity
Ryzen 5 3600
A B450 MSI Gaming Plus
Damn, sound nice
Full specs are on my steam profile anyways
I wanted to buy parts for a pc this year, as I've been a budget gamer for the better part of 8 years
My first laptop ran minecraft at a whopping 13 fps, now I upgraded and I run around 50 in minecraft, but rest is bruh, so I get sub 60 fps in CS:GO
Heck i'm not even using it all yet
69
Yea my GPU gets hotter cause i just have limited space for my case
Hey I need a new psu . Anyone have any brands that recommend? I need a 650w to 750w
i have r5 2600x and 3060ti/2080 super how many watts should my psu be?
ok thank you so much
@elfin ember stop doing that
Nope I recognise that link
What resolution is this at?
High settings 1440p, 4k or maybe even 8k?
By the way, how much did you spend on your 3090?
1.6K on the card
And 1440p
High or low?
High
ram OC is the worst OC
takes 20 years
and all you do is sit and stare at the screen and hope you don't get errors
Boring and slow
I've hit 3200 cl14-14-14-30
I'm at 3400 cl16-17-17-32 right now with some tightened secondaries and a much lower trfc
yeah ram oc is so exhilerating
i hooked my reset_sw connector up to my clear cmos header so i could clear it quickly
had to use it many times
Hello
I am really new to the PC building world and im in the process of building one rn
any tips for a first timer?
How much do you know
Just the Basics Tbh
Do you know what an AIO is?
no sry... 😫
Cpu yes gpu remind me
Graphics card
then yes
Ram
yes
SSD/HDD?
Luckily I don't need to clear cmos, if my oc fails the system just reboots a couple of times until it posts
I'd recommend looking at bitwit Kyle, Paul's hardware, or LTT beginner videos for building a pc
yes
yes i know what ssd is and internal hard drive
Enable xmp, remove plastic from cpu cooler seem to be the big ones
And plug your display out into your gpu
We're on cycle 2 and it hasn't thrown any errors yet, nice
mine does too but it's like 3 whole reboots
@smoky talon What kind of rig are you building? What do you need help exactly with, just asking for help with tech is very vague
Computer
uhhh do u just want the specs?
Tips on what though?
^
That is 90% of actually building the system
Honestly just watch some videos from the people I recommended and if you have specific questions ask here
There's threads on reddit on "what do you wish you'd known when building your first pc" and all that
i ocd ram and couldnt go on my pc for a day trying to clear cmos and then boot off of my ssd
it was the worst 🤕
My aida64 memory bandwidth benchmark dropped after tightening timings
Very annoying

https://sol.gfxile.net/dontask.html @true wagon

also, why the 5800x
you doing some production work?
Could just use pc part picker lmao
You mean the link Saucy literally just posted 🤔
@mint crypt yeah so you can get a seagate barracuda 2tb hard drive for only 50 bucks
Or a 1tb one for like 30-40
How about 500 gig
Yeah
?
usually for the same reason as the 500gb drives, i would recommend the 2tb over the 1tb
What about a 2tb HDD and a 500gb ssd
Yeah that’s what I was recommending
Then just get a 2tb hdd and you should be fine
No I’m getting a full build in like 1week or more
a prebuilt?
Basically
i would avoid against that
Except it’s not from a company
No like a guy is building it from parts
oh okay
i mean, i have a 1tb drive i've barely touched for all my school stuff
it really does depend
Yeah
if you only play a couple of games, maybe league, cs, and the occasional singleplayer game you'll uninstall after
500 can be fine
I don’t uninstall games, well at least I don’t like doing it :/
Because the games I play I put quite a few hours into them and sometimes money for in game stuff
Ok so 1 tb is fine
I play Minecraft and valorant mostly
Sometimes csgo
I take that as yes
a 1tb ssd? sure
at the price for 500gb hard drives you might as well get 2tb
WHy Do YoU KnoW So MuCH
Why do you type like that
yes, but 2tb hdd's aren't too expensive
honestly for what they are 4TB hdd's are pretty cheap too
ye
at that point you're stretching the budget imo
$10 between a 1tb hdd and 2tb hdd, fine
it's another $30 from 2 to 4tb
We are also getting to the point where some SSD's at the low end, are getting cheaper, while still faster compared to their harddrive counterpart.
well, yeah
getting cheaper, but not cheaper than hard drives
if you need static storage and have room, hdds are still king
so in what situations are the zen 3 good for? Im probably not going to get it but im curious if its just a good grab
gaming
So I I wanted to game around 1440p budget was 1500 and I got the 6800xt would they go together good?
