if someone is asking for good keyboards suggestions i guarantee you they do not want to be recommended membrane garbage
british
man i don’t know what even is a membrane
id rather be british than buy a membrane keyboard LMFAO
i mean most play at 3 am
if you dont even know what membrane is how do you intend on suggesting good keyboards
???? wheres your source for this
what does that have to do with anything
quiet
Believe it or not but there's actually people who prefer it over a mechanical keyboard
That doesn't make them wrong or bad, you just don't agree with them
just use your normal keyboard LOL not everyone needs to be dead silent all the time
if someones coming asking for a good keyboard suggestion i guarantee you 999/1000 times they wanbt a mech/HE
apex 3 isnt even a good membrane keyboard
so id argue theyre still wrong regardless
I had a coworker who loved it above every single keyboard we had
but it doesnt matter anyway
Which is a lot
I don't play at 3 am anyways
the snap back is crazy 😭😭
but yea I'm never buying a membrane keyboard
so happy with this case
nv7?
Lemokey p1 pro. Trust me this thing is amazing
Lemokey P1 and its Pro version are 75% layout QMK/VIA custom gaming keyboards. Packed with many pro-grade features of a lightning-fast 1000 Hz polling rate, CNC machined body, knob design, gasket structure, upgraded acoustic foam, and Cherry PBT keycaps, the Lemokey P1 is ready to take you to dominate the game.
120 bucks for this is a steal
It sounds decent tio
Too
lemokey is keychrons worst lineup no?
Not worst? Just cheaper than all the others. Imo its definitely better because it has basically the same specs and feels better
I have it myself and i prefer it over the Qmax series tbh
Or whatever they call it
q max series is aluminium no?
bit of an interesting take thats for sure
although fair enough
tbh if you were to go keychron
id just go for this https://www.keychron.com/collections/keychron-v-max-series-keyboard/products/keychron-v4-max-qmk-via-wireless-custom-mechanical-keyboard
its cheaper and is actually the size he wants
Didnt saw the size part mb
lol its fine i just figured id add to the convo
Nice! I recently did the same 😄
tf is that
oh ok the naming is wierd
lga1700 is intels 12-14th gen socket
b650m pro rs is a motherboard for am5
ah ok thank you
whats confusing
the numbers arent even
what
i am used to am4 because most of them are just a number and then 50
?
thats not changed?
they're the same?
yea?
what would you say is a high spec am5 board
anything that looks like its not just bare minimum to meet base spec for a am5 board
its pretty straight forward like that
you have literal junk and then B6/850s
and then stupid overspending X6/870s
when i switch to am5 i want to get a decent white one
define "decent"
one that doesnt look barebones like the steel legend am4 mobo
like there's a steel legend one but the colors are ugly
pro RS
x870 pro rs is hot
almost nothing has changed
https://www.amd.com/en/products/processors/chipsets/am5.html
with the newest ones, they dropped the "a520/620" and have gone to "b840"
obviously done to be misleading and make it appear better than it actually is. no one would want an a820! but a b840? maayyybe
still doesnt matter cuz half of am5 will run on literally anything and everything
other than that its all identical
thank you lisquie
is there hole covers i could buy for the 3500x
like how it is on the o11 vision
to cover these cable holes
probably
check aliexpress
I plan to build another PC and i have a question, which is the better CPU the 9900X or the 7800X3D?
for what
1080p gaming
7800x3d would be better
but its probably more worthwhile getting a cheaper cpu anda better monitor
the 7800X3D is cheaper so ima get that
"cable grommets for corsair 3500x" ??
it looks like the ones on the 6500 are the same dimensions
there's no rectangular ones
shame
now jist buy random crap on aliexpress
"car accessories" and filter by cheapest
im sure thatd bring something up
wait why can i buy a 9070?
Don't buy a 9070 lol
will this be loud?
they also got apex pro mini
i also saw a white tkl logitech one
how do i get rapid trigger on
You can turn it on for Apex Pro keyboards in Steelseries Engine
probably yeah
its a bad keyboard
plastic
same with the apex pro mini
are you absolutely unable to purchase online
https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Mechanical-Aluminium-Bluetooth-Swappable/dp/B0D1FXCD7C
SK65 is available on amazon so i have no idea why you wouldnt go for it. its actually well built.
if its too loud for you stock, try lubing switches, removing pe film, or adding extra foam. or just film your switches, or replace them for other alternatives (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007459638140.html)
personally i liked Silent Lemon, but theyre not as popular because theyre tactile. i later opted for HMX Sakura https://www.mechmods.co.uk/collections/keyboard-switches/products/hmx-silent-sakura
The HMX Silent Sakura switch is the first silent HMX linear switch that I know of. According to Mage Studio, these switches come with a great balance between being quiet and having a great typing feel; They don't feel as mushy as most silent switches there are, and the bottom-out is very comfy. They might not be the quietest silent switch, but t...
if you want to try switches out, Milktooth is a great choice in the US.
https://milktooth.com/products/switches/silent-sakura-53g
https://milktooth.com/
We are excited to present the Silent Sakura switches, meticulously engineered to deliver a whisper-quiet typing experience reminiscent of gentle raindrops tapping against a window. Featuring a perfectly balanced 53g bottom out force, these switches cater to typists who prefer a light, yet satisfying keystroke.
The widest selection of switches at the best prices. Exclusively at Milktooth.
they carry a ton of switches in sizes that you often cant even purchase from retailers
if you ask me, the best silent switches are the TTC Frozen Silent V2
its worth noting, despite what a lot of people will tell you, all linears are the same. regardless of weight. it doesnt matter.
theyre the same
i can but i dont like waiting long
thats why i bought a ton of stuff from best buy
i usually just use black switches
that is clean though
ill probably order that
right now im using a red dragon k630 with custom keycaps and jelly black
yeah thats grim
lisquie
I sent a screenshot of that keyboard to my friend said "it's only good for noise not latency "
imma watch a video on it actually
cuz I do like that dial
if i buy that keyboard is there any switches you could recommend
quiet and fast with RGB
💀
switches dont have rgb
i already suggested several though
read down from here - #💻-building-a-pc message
TTC frozen silent v2 will have the best lighting support though cuz theyre completely clear

yea I mean clear for the light to shine through
one time I accidentally bought non clear cherry red replacements on an rgb keyboard
yea this is what im talking about
does he know why
or is he just saying no because he thinks he knows
for $90 its easily the best mechanical ~60% youll get
the Made68 Pro is $60 more, if youre interested - https://www.melgeek.com/products/made68-pro
but its plastic (ewwww) and is hall effect (sounds awful)
all of it is
aluminium
the entire housing is alu
alright ill order it
why do you use 2 accounts lol
why not just log ion
and I had to help manage a server this account has perms so I stayed logged in
because the other one is new and I'm still not in every server
i suppose if it's an issue i could just leave on this one
no just curious lol
it was MSI center LMAO
i bought a whole new argb controller just for it to be an app
these white ones are so clean
Hello guys i have a problem if anyone knows how to fix it please let me know
So yesterday i opened a game and my screen froze and turned black i freaked out and instead of useing the command cntrl shift windows b
I shut down the pc by the button after that I turned on my pc and the screen stayed black and its like the pc wont recognize the gpu i tried to plug the display port to the motherboard and it worked the gpu still work I guess because the gpu fans works and when the pc is off the red light is there asus gpu and my psu is 1000w so its not psu problem im about to cry idk what to do
https://www.guru3d.com/download/display-driver-uninstaller-download/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bP-2B14Nckw&t=83s
Download Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) - Remove AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL Graphics Drivers Cleanly - DDU is a driver removal utility that helps you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, leaving no leftovers behind, including registry keys, folders, files, and driver store.

use your iGP
Thx you hope it works
I even formatted the pc 😢
formatted how
Reinstalled windows and uninstalled everything
From settings recovery section
Im in a online class once it’s finished i will do the video and tell you the results
you should ideally use a USB and fresh install windows from that USB
instead of the built in reinstall system
but its fine
try DDU and update here
I do have a usb with windows 11
But yeah i didnt use it
DDU didn't fix that issue for me
Yeah i just finished it’s still there
I am reinstalling windows with the usb right now hope it works
Do you have any idea that can fix it?
Asus 4070 super
If it was the ram when i plugged the display port into the motherboard it wouldn’t show anything but it was working
the dual fan or the triple fan
Soo good news or no news
did you try the ddu thing yet?
try the ddu first if you haven't
if that doesn't work it might not be a driver issue
Yeah i did try
you realise a simple phoyo would have been easier than a video that takes forever to focus
i assume youre on about the one trace thats slightly shorter than the others
this one
is that what youre on about
W mouse btw
reseat your ram, make sure everything is fully plugged in on mobo and Psu side (pcie, cpu power, 24pin, hdd cables)
if it's not booting try it with one ram stick
if it isn't booting at all try it without the gpu
I'm curious, is it a choice or a lack of a choice that your photos has the "S21" branding on it? :D
I post pictures sometimes and I want people knowing what phone I'm using
I could turn it off if I ever need
Fair enough
No hdd m.2 on psu side i just made sure everything was plugged properly
Ima try
hot
I tried with hdmi instead of display port it worked
But why
The display port was working in motherboard
what are the binds
for turning it on and stuff
backspace key isn't working
yea the backspace key isnt working at all
i bined it to a different action and it still isnt responding
no idea
should be in the manual. i can send it in a moment

it shipped with a broken switch on the backspace key
updated bios
ran DDU program
reseated ram
made sure all wires are plugged in
temps aren't high
rebuilt it
and my screens are still blacking out, fans are still ramping up
might have to RMA it
like I honestly don't have any clue what to do anymore
it only happens on games so it's gotta be the gpu
i got the wrong color anyways bro im just gonna return it and get the white and gray one
if I get another defective switch I can always use one of my akko blacks I got a whole set of them rotting in my closet
W keyboard suggestion though 🙏🙏
getting a keyboard with an actual good casing is so much better than the cheap plastic red dragon uses
AMD is being stupid and naming their cards like NVIDIA.
I'm also fairly certain that's a typo because there is no 8070 that I'm aware of
There's a 9070
But no 8070
But it kinda makes sense cuz the 9070 competes with the 5070 and the xt with the Ti
(Pretty sure AMD rebranded the 8800 into the 9070 as a jab at NVIDIA.)
Oh I know why. Doesn't make it any less stupid.
I mean it kinda blocks nVidia in a couple years From making the 9070ti
Not really.
RX 9070 is not the same as RTX (or whatever it will be by then) 9070.
We're also 4 generations off from that.
my steelseries software is just closing randomlyu how to fix
But Old people will get confused anyways
First build
Asus Rog Strix X870-A
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Lian Li Hydroshift LCD 360S
Kingston FURY 64 GB (2 x 32 GB)
Western Digital WD_Black 2 TB M.2-2280
Western Digital WD_BLACK 10 TB 3.5
Zotac GAMING SOLID OC GeForce RTX 5080
NZXT H6 Flow ATX
MSI MAG A750GL
it didnt
thats not an AI
thats just an LLM
is just a joke
they said it was to align with competitor naming schemes so that the cards are more easily recognisable.
so yeah lol
I thought it was meant for matching with the cpu naming lines
like 9k on both card and cpu
if that was the case they wouldnt have moved the 2nd number to the 3rd spot
imagine they switch the cpu naming to the gpu one 😭😭
looks good, what's that white cable in the gpu?
It’s RGB apparently Zotac now puts RGB and their GPU. I’m trying to figure out if I can run the GPU without the RGB right now. I’ve been doing some research about it cause I just find the RGB tacky in the GPU
told you
zotac uses proprietary software
i think its called like firestorm or something
should be able to disable it
It’s fire storm I can disable it through there. But I would really prefer to not have that cable sticking out. It’s in an awkward ass spot on the GPU. I just don’t like the cable as well.
Speaking of Zotac, @lusty hinge did you know that they made a computer with a built-in pod based coffee maker?
😅
Not exactly a powerful machine at that size but still fun
zotac moment
Ryzen 9 7900X
RTX 4060 128pin 8gb
DDR5 5600GHZ 32GB
Asrock B650 PRO
I see what you mean just slightly less ugly 😅
🤤🤤
what??
someone was spamming
how do I get rid if this single red key
is it a charging indicator?
or fn lock?
try CTRL FN
wie hast du eigtl das türkise in der infokurve hingekriegt? hab geguckt und nix gefunden ^^
if im on the right manual, its the charging light
so hopefully it just goes when its charged
könnte an den Farbeinstellungen liegen
i was hoping it wasn't a broken LED
I'm not gonna use it wireless is there a way to just turn it off
letting it charge hopefully
alright
lisquie is this keyboard supported in signal rgb
the red light is gone
nice
I need a white desk 😭
why isnt your monitor centred
freaky
although i do the same kinda lol
not nearly as bad though
my stuff is just off centred a bit so i have to move a little bit further right to be in the centre of my main monitor
if i sit in the middle where you would expect im on the far left of my monitor
its kinda annoying because it means i lose mouse space if i sit on the right but tbh id rather that than have to redo my setup again
yea i have to have my chair on a left side bias or ill have little mouse room
i wanna get a flat monitor though and use this one for a simrig later on
i want to do a flat monitor in the middle slightly tilted up with a mount then there would be a second vertical monitor on the left for media
but i need to buy a new desk before any of that
wow
how do I RMA my gpu to asrock
call em
i just sent them an email
it said to send an email to their us support with all of the specs
alright so I gotta get a receipt from newegg and send a jpg then I can rma it
how come I've never seen this until now
the aio 6900xt? cuz its stupid
its only stupid for normies
many gains from water but only on oc
no nono its stupid
I've genuinely never understood to buy an aio or loop for a gpu
mine hardly ever goes above 62c
youll only really find water blocks for the top end cards
and even then theyre not necessarily mostly just the people who think it looks cool, or the people who want to push 20000w through an xtx to barely match a 4090
i hope the 9050xt never exists
think one got leaked
but no probably not
9050 or 9050xt
I had the last 500xt series
it was so bad
4gb of Vram and no encoder 💔💔
🥀
🏤🏤 is my trademark
european post office
oh I don't live in Europe
so glad I'm not British
we ARE eating Beans on toast 💔💔
🥀🥀
"actually it beats the sh1t out of a 4090" ☝️ 🤓
yea I imagine binning got to that point where the encoder was a major decider as to if the silicon was dumpster'd or not
have you considered not side grading?
HORRIBle upgrade chart bro
you basically went from trash to even more trash to even more trash
and they all perform the same
I have a 7700xt with no driver issues
rx 580 was def the best
there's only a few things the 6500xt does better like Mrender
speedu this is why u my goat bro ❤️❤️
the interesting thing is that the 6500 was meant to be a silicon shortage card (i.e cheapo card that people could buy in the meantime) but we definitely still had enough Vram chips
so the 4Gb thing was just so you'd be forced to upgrade from it at some point instead of being able to actually use it long term
that's the only reason i got the 6500xt
there was literally nothing else
Hopefully AMD learns from this
-# they wont
@grave cipher c750 2022 installed
Girl what😭
you heard.
Сосо
replaced a cv550 because idk something about having what is basically an IED running doesnt seem smart
which gpu do u rec for 1440p?¿
Depends on your needs and budget
I'm enjoying using a 4080 for it but I know it's kinda pricy
yeah it is. like, anything will be an improvement tho, i currently have rx 580 xD so i was thinking about rx 7600 or 7700. 7900 is a bit expensive too
and 4070 is also expensive
My RTX4070 Super runs Destiny 2 with all details on 3440x1440 and HDR with 100 FPS+ - usually hits the maximum refresh rate my monitor can handle. I also have a RTX4060 (Notebook) I only run in Full-HD and it hits the maximum FPS of 165 of the notebook screen there...
...so for my purpose those cards are just perfect but your milage might vary. The AMD GPUs with similar performance were more expensive last autumn when I bought the RTX4070 Super - at least in Germany.
which amd gpu performs as good as 4070?
I used this as a first indication: https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html
I selected cards above 30000 score and there simply wasn't one good card from AMD below 1000€.
7700xt is below 500€ and i think it is good
7700xt works for 1440p but if you're trying to play on max / ultra then I'd go for a better card
especially for raytracing
7700xt is perfect for 1440p if you're not looking for game quality
using scores from passmark doesnt make sense because it doesnt reflect actual gaming performance
6750XT should of been on that graph
its basically into +1% of a 3070
shows what that card is actually about (the 7700XT)
even if 7600xt or 7700xt cant run 1440p on ultra all games, is worth buying a gpu that can? i mean
dlss or fsr use to provide better graphics when upscaling
so i am not sure i understand the point of having the most powerfull gpu
AI is there to be used
so if i wanna run something at 1440p full settings, and gpu cant handle it, i just go fhd and upscale with ai, no?
bro‼️‼️
1440p medium settings = 7700xt / 4070
1440p high ultra - 7900 / 4080 (if you can afford one 😭😭)
if you want RAYTRACING get a green card
team green
if you want something midrange that doesn't break the bank get a team red card
personally I think youll be fine with a 7700xt
is FSR even worth using
I've used AMD cards for the majority of my life and I've never found a use for it
yo is there any super smart people in here that know pcs
i installed my 16gb of ram
but in specs it says i have 15.82
what does this mean
I've been wondering why all my ram cannot be used. Also, I recently installed a new motherboard
and before getting it I would get a blue screen and it would crash. Even after installing a new motherboard and a new i7 cpu, it still happens. I'm beginning to wonder if this is related to the power...
i installed 32 and only got 31.9
ram can be a little devious sometimes
Well ideally you want the best graphical output in which you don't use upscaling
The upscalers are definitely not as good vs like native msaa
Even native taa can be better it just depends on implementation of dlss
Even TN is still susceptible to ghosting and loss of detail in certain aspects
mmm
some is reserved by your system for your hardware
if you want to see your exact amount, for whatever reason, go to misinfo32 / system info (theyre the same thing) and just look for your ram capacity
its intentional
kinda like how both of these 2TB ssds are not only not 2TB, but also arent even the same capacity
oh i see
so some of my ram is just designated to hardware?
and theres nothing to worry about?
okay thank you
❤️
red dragon case 💔💔
wow those fans look horrid
makes sense cuz they already exist
and are indeed horrid
I spent 3 days trying to put together a decent build per my budget. In the end I realized I wasted time since weather here includes 🌪️+🌀hurricanes. 2 great builds fubar due to bad weather last 2 years.
Ended up being gifted OEM custom built 💻
Hence why I said "First indication". Could you provide a Link to your source?
pass mark biggest opp
I love looking for specs then clicking their website for absolutely NOTHING
@lament badge rather than bashing ones approach it is better to provide information on your own - that is what is called "constructive".
why do you need a link vro just look at it its right in the corner in big unmissable text
im not doing allat for something irrelevant
oh nevermind
literally linux user stereotype bro has it in his bio
linux users try not to let everyone know they use linux challenge
anyway listen to persona 3 reloads best song https://open.spotify.com/track/3R0XM0PaKh2R7WYF8UJYe0
😭😭
but he's a techie head to toe!!!!!
@lusty hinge why so toxic? Just because I like using Linux does not mean this is the only thing I know. I am an IT professional since more than 25 years. I started with a Commodore 64, know to write programs in several programming and scripting languages, I am an expert on technologies like virtualization, storage area networks, ethernet networking...
...and I know Windows since Windows 3.0.
All I asked is if you can provide a verifiable source as this is the most valuable thing one can give when making a statement. Trying to prove a point by selecting specific information from ones Biography and posting memes is kind of childish. And if your research would be any better you would have realized I am using GG and posted pictures taken on Windows 11.
If you would have ever used Linux, you would know it is not much harder to use than Windows - it is just different not necessarily better.
@grave cipher changing a Wallpaper is not much different on Linux then on Windows. The text doesn't make any sense - only a fool would use the command line to change the wallpaper in a GUI environment like Gnome or KDE Plasma.
@lament badge Yes I am as you can see by my statements above. But I am still waiting for your approach and constructive feedback.
Everyone calm down and stop calling out people. I thought this is a community where we help each other but some go off topic and turn toxic.
Noone is actually trying to be toxic you just fall for the rsgebait a lot
@lament badge redragon fans
except theyre... not redragon
because theyre just a single oem being rebranded over and over and over and over
kinda like how akko and such have verrrryyy similar keycaps and keyboards
if this is what the fans and cases are like imagine the PSU's they make
Reminds me of those cheap membrane keyboards and mice with the cracks
its well known that cheap psus from relatively unheard of brands tend to suck
not always but basically always
theres like one usable gamemax model and thats about it
I hope people know what they're buying when they look for PSU's
because id rather pay a certain percentage increase than buy something from a random brand
Personally, EVGA are my favorite PSUs...10-year warranty and have never had to use it.
Seasonic or Super Flower (or EVGA rebrands) are all I will ever use for a PSU. not worth the risk to save a few bucks
Brand loyalty to an extent for psus is a little stupid
Like yea the Chinesium branded psu is probably going to go bang but I think every company has at some point made a psu that is just plain terrible
Or has a likelihood to go bang
And the lower the price the more likely it is to be one of those bad psus
super flower has several not so good psus
10 year warranty should be expected on any decent psu
its nothing special compared to the actual good psus offering 15-20
guys i have 2060 rtx 6 g b and mother board X570 AORUS ELITE and cpu AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor 3.59 GHz, ram 32 gb ehat gpu do i want to upgrade to im currenlty playing cs2 with 122 fps ish
first whats your goal for the new pc?
just run cs2 on higher frames? or play some other games on high quality
to play more games on a higher quality
and ofc boost cs2 frames
Which one would you recommend, for the user above looking for recommendations? I recommended EVGA as a brand because I've used several of their PSUs and never had an issue.
ty
this is so real cuz nvidia pins don't melt
I have a 4000 series card and it feels the same way
got my 4080 super cheaper than the titan x original msrp
"what it's like to own a titan rtx"
I saw some guy on reddit get a 7900xtx for under $100
yea and some guy getting a 7800xt cheaper than my 7700xt
Okay?
i need a 1440p card that can do the bare minimum
no intel
I'm gonna buy a spare gpu
sorry bro! by faulty i meant nvidia
nah im joking. by bare minimum i meant a decent gpu that can pull atleast 120 frames on 1440p on low settings
i dont play really play gpu intensive games
6750xt
where is the picture ⁉️⁉️
@lusty hinge I angled both the monitors a little better
centered them and tilted them up a bit
send a picture of your pc bro‼️‼️
you got any other recommendations? 😭😭
I was gifted this corsair one and it was the only one i had that fit on my desk
I despise small mousepads
what are we thinking about this guys
I mean it depends?
If you wanna have a machine to game on but a desktop isn't portable enough then a gaming laptop can be a great option
Gaming laptops have come a looooong way
They do still kinda suck if you want batterylife
if they do not need a lot of portability hell no
also just a laptop
don't go buying garbage cuz it's marketed as gaming
pls look at reviews
yea i told him that they suck with the charger out
pretty sure all he does is play fortnite and edit on his pc
why is he considering a laptop at all then
portability
just dont listen to anyone here if u want a pc with good price=performance ratio
does he really need it
huh
join tweakingguys dont ask here
went devious with that suggestion
this server is full of people with partnerships
and they will obviously recommend u
literally no one here is partnered
not true
which is a piece of sh aswell
lisquie literally deterred me from buying steelseries keyboard
tell me you don't scroll up without telling me you don't scroll up
how much do they charge to kill your computer with a dodgy windows iso
no they dont
yes they do
its literally a tweaking based server it cannot be good
do you genuinely have an issue with steelseries products
its all just bull with the goal of making money by being deceitful
everyone does
most of them suck
no its real overclocking etc server
not random software to "tweak" ur pc
why wouldnt you just join buildzoids server or the /overclock server then
so far my only exception is the nova's
everything about nova pro is bad
actually /overclock is full of soy boys
i have it and i regret it
tf
shouldve bought maxwell
did I say nova pro's
same thing?
❤️❤️
if youre buying an expensive headset and it isnt maxwell youre buying the wrong thing
what you'd usually do before buying a product is using said searchbar..
out of every pair of headset I've owned there has been zero issues I don't know what your problem is
depends on the channel
beeping twice even at full battery randomly
often every 30 seconds
how long have you had it

reputable channels such as https://youtube.com/@gamersnexus and https://youtube.com/@hardwareunboxed are fine
its uncomfortable af aswell
don't forget consumer tech review 🗣‼️⁉️🤦♂️😭
and sites such as https://www.techpowerup.com/ and https://www.rtings.com/ are cool too
although if you use RTINGS ignore their rankings
only use it for the actual info
order me a big plate of complaints 😭😭😭
if you don't like it you probably had the chance to return it
not really
how do you own a headset for 6 months then randomly decide "yea these are uncomfortable"
you have only 14 days to return in eu
i just cant write to steelseries and say refund me its uncomfortable
usually it doesn't take longer than 2 days to figure out if you like them
people said foams need time to get comfy
where did you buy it from

are any of those 240hz monitors oled
probably not
weird
lol
I think one of them is
ASUS PG32UCDM
Alienware AW2725Q
Gigabyte MO27Q2
Samsung Odyssey Neo G8
ASUS TUF Gaming VG279QM
tbf alienware one is great iirc
i almost bought it i think
thats the 4k oled one i think wait
im not a fan
only reason i considered it is cuz it was tje cheapest good option

You should make a post in #1059414196858662923 :)
fais not to bad a lot of wires going on tho less desk space with pc on it
its fine to be honest i only use 60$% keyboards
why dont you got it on the floor the pc
hi
is anybody else here in this dicord chat?
no
bro is #losingit rn
im no no not
ugh
im eating right now
anyways
hows your day going so far?
hellooooooooooooooooooooooooo??????
is any body going to respond?!?!?!
Sounds like a thing for #💬-general
Not very pc building related :D
But hi
hi?
cause pc should not be on floors due to air flow and dust
not really doesn't change a whole lot in most cases
maybe if you just never cleaned your room
thats if you have a carpet lad
Witch i do
bet
Maybe you should be nicer to others :)
what did bro say ⁉️⁉️
Oh fairs then
honestly carpet or not I'd rather have my pc on my desk so those beautiful lights don't go to waste
Idk bout that tbh
And I ain’t got no room for it
Have 2 monitors my Xbox
And my pc underneath
Need to get a L shaped desk or sum
Then it can fit
Or just a bigger one
Yeah I mean you got the room for a bigger desk
there's some L shape desks that have multiple modes
like it will say L shape but you could just extend it straight
half of those arent even necessary for a computer
speakers, case
Processor ≠ CPU
Id connect a calculator so the pc can perform faster
corsair AIO not the way?
when is it ever
Real
my grandpa bought be a nautilus 360mm and I'm considering switching from it
it's gotta be white
i like the ones with the screens but the nzxt ones have ridiculous pricing
gonna be a long year
why would you buy an nzxt one anyway
real 💔💔
do you got any suggestions
no reason other than some ppl are nzxt sheep
ts company pmo icl ngl
i just don't want to buy an unreliable one
I'll watch a video on it
isn't thermalright the same brand that makes the peerless assassin
yeah
are these any good
I can't find a white one
What's the problem with them?
any good recommendations for an 1tb m2 disk?
what country
I agree
i like their ecosystem more than corsair though
corsair can't even make strimers it's kinda sad
they have strimers
yea but are those actual cables with lights or just led strips that stick to cables
strips that stick to cables
the exact same thing that the lian li strimers do
the corsair ones look cheap
would've bought them if they were like the typical strimers encased in rubber
Hi! Are there people here who use or have used ultra-wide monitors?
What do you think about them for personal use? Both for gaming and office work (but mainly gaming). Is it really worthwhile or are there too many downsides? (Like incompatible games, etc...)
I just switched from a dual 27" setup to a single 34" ultrawide and honestly I haven't found myself missing the second monitor as much as I thought I would. The extra screen space on your peripheral is nice for gaming and just general multitasking. The extra room for side by side split windows makes up for the lack of a second screen for me. Plus it's great for video editing (if you do that)
As far as gaming goes, like I said the extra peripheral is very nice for immersion. Most games these days support ultrawide resolutions and the ones that don't currently probably will in the future. There's a good chunk of older titles that have received ultrawide support. Unless you're playing really old games or some small indie title that lacks ultrawide support it won't be an issue. Even if I find a game that doesn't support the monitor, I can still play it in the equivalent of a 27" screen with black bars so there's still plenty of space to see what's happening in game and having bars on the side isn't that distracting for me when I'm really focused on the game
Alright I see, thanks for your reply! Most people that gave me their opinion seems to prefer UW rather than standard monitor. I might go for one soon them. If I don't like it I can just send it back I guess
Actually allow me to provide some opposing opinions @ruby moon
I had a 32:9 Samsung ultrawide and while it's definitely a fun gimmick, I don't really miss having it. It's not the way to go if you like having a lot of fps.
I switched from a 1080p 32:9 to 1440p 16:9 and I don't miss having it at all
It's especially a pain with content creation and recording of content
Yeah that's a great thing to read opposite opinion. Thanks Lennart!
I see. Well, I had a 4k 16:9 before and I loved it, it was enough and I had another 1080p 16:9 used as a secondary monitor in vertical. Then my cat broke my main screen... I'm used to play at 60fps even tho my monitor was 144hz (My computer isn't powerful enough to play some games on 4K high quality lol. I either had to lower the quality or sacrifice some FPS but 60 was enough).
I guess I probably should wait a bit, build a way more powerful computer and buy a new screen (Either UW or not). The main condition will be that it have to be OLED. Then I'll see. I think we'll get UW at work so it'll help me decide if I like it or not
I picked up my 34" 1440p MSI OLED UW on sale coming from 2 27" 1440p IPS monitors. I honestly don't notice a huge hit to performance running it on a 6800xt.
The reason I bought the monitor was because I was looking at upgrading either it or my GPU. but since it's impossible to get a new card right now I went with the monitor that was $200 off
I've had a 21:9 3440x1440 165Hz one and honestly I still miss it after a year (it got cracked and later died outright as a result of the crack). Basically every game I played supported it officially and if they didnt then it typically had a work around for it, it definitely has an impact on CPU and GPU thats noticeable, due to the wider FOV meaning that theres more stuff to render. It even worked wonders for most of the stuff I watched, as a lot of shows and movies shoot in wider aspect ratios than 16:9 so not as much black baring going on
I would say though try and avoid VA panels if you intend on using like freesync/Gsync as the ghosting kinda goes to hell when not at the maximum refresh rate of the panel
missed this
Yeah that was a fire deal. I got my MSI MAG 341CQP for $650 w/ a monitor arm included. I was specifically looking to go bigger than 34" andultra wide. But there are some fantastic deals on 27" 16x9 OLEDs these days
awesome
Just never gets better does it
I’m looking for a little help so I bought this about a year ago. And on Warzone my latency is about 21. I’m not that good with computer computers, but what would be the best thing for me to upgrade to get lower latency? any advice would be appreciated.
what's your res and refresh rate on your monitor
turn all of your quality settings down if they aren't already
and if you haven't you should buy an exhaust fan for the rear or top
really hard to like any prebuilt companies when they do sht like this
like what
no exhaust fans in a prebuilt 💔
not like theyre necessary
180hz
@twin void I assume you meant 20ms latency as measured by the game
Yes. i’m not sure if people are Warzone players but on big map I get like 100 FPS. so I would like to upgrade, but don’t know where to start.
I'm not sure what this has to do with latency though
Latency is how long it takes to transmit your inputs to the game server
The 3 ways to decrease it would be
1. Use a fiber network connection if you are not doing so already
2. Use a service that optimizes the connection path to the server (I only ever tried WTFast myself)
3. Move closer to the physical warzone game servers
but honestly, 20ms latency is considered top tier
However, if what you are after, @twin void, is more fps then it's probably gonna cost you some money for components
if you are playing on 1080p, which I would assume is the case based on your computer, your upgrade path will likely involve having to buy new CPU and CPU cooler, motherboard
I would personally see if it is possible to get the 5700x3d if you are tight on money as that will be a king in terms of bang for the buck
if you are playing on 1440p the choice will change somewhat.
I would swap the i5 12400F for a 12700K, and switch the 4060 for a 9070 or 9070XT (if you go for the 9070XT you might have to upgrade powers supply to one that is 750W)
The reasoning for the difference depending on resolution is that on 1080p the CPU bears a lot more of the load for generating FPS.
At 1440p this is more offloaded to the Graphics Card.
@twin void if anything here is unclear, or you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll explain to the best of my ability
I don't expect people to understand computer hardware immediately. Takes a little bit of time to get used to ;)
from a 12400f? itd be quite the opposite. it would be awful value
its an LGA1700 board. just put a 13/14600kf in there and call it a day
I would say that, but then we all know how the long term prospects of the 13th and 14th gen is. I would rather not recommend a faulty component to someone
as much of a value winner an upgrade as that would be. there is quite a lot of value in just knowing that your CPU isn't just slowly killing itself
yeah, they've said that a lot of times already
the CPUs still keep on dying
old ones yeah
so excuse me if I'm not ready to take Intels words at face value
if its a brand new cpu its fine
all one has to do is update their bios before using it
sorted
you do the recommendations you want. My personal opinion is that I would rather avoid 13th and 14th gen purely for peace of mind
not worth it
5700x3d trash value
horrible pfp
I like amd but 5700x3d / 5800x3d overpriced no reason
if I had to guess it would be cause of it being the last upgrade path for am4
they are blowing up
feels somehow validating to hear you say that
I will never recommend intel to any1
My 5900X is still going strong I have no plans to upgrade anytime soon. Maybe when AM5 reaches its final gen
the price to performance is horrendous
here we go
they were failing*.
they never blew up and they havent had issues in forever
the microcode updates that were released several months ago are still to be proven to not work
I've seen so many occurrences of new gens frying the socket
yeah, its nothing new.
7800x3d literally blew up, 9800x3ds blow up.
and you're saying they're proven to work?
13th and 14th gen issues were fixed months ago
validation goes both ways
I saw the same one, user error
until theyre proven not to work, yeah.
People aren't fully seating their chips then they pop
which one? because im not on about any specific one
so you want to take Intel at their word after they've lied to you for year?
im not taking intels word
every x3d
im taking the widely available information that shows the microcode updates work
if youre so scared just stick to 12th
but thats stupid to do
the overheating though
the oxidation issues
7800x3ds blowing up wasnt user error
neither is 9800x3d
Intel 13th and 14th gen is a dumpster fire
define overheating
being hotter than amd In general
how are you coming to that conclusion
intel is so hot
so is amd?? how are you coming to this conclusion
if you compare a 200w cpu to a 60w cpu, sure
no I'm not
it was a well known fact that higher tier Intel chips of those generations basically had mandatory watercooling to not thermal throttle
then how are you coming to the conclusion of "intel is so hot"
intel cpus are just highly reputable as being hotter than amd in every aspect
due to the fact that if you put them under large loads they would draw upwards of 300w. not because "theyre just hot bro".
AMD has several CPUs that do the same
then why did they need to draw 300w?
so they can provide the performance expected? this isnt exclusive to intel
amd literally does the exact same thing
this isnt rocket science
gpus do it, cpus do it
7900 GRE is a pretty good example of power = gud
so they had to compensate with power draw because of the architecture
sapphire pulse 7900 GRE is power limited to 260w and in turn performs noticeably worse than 4070 Supers and other 7900 GRE AIBs
sure
not like it matters
yeah, but the 7900 GRE was terrible value at launch anyways
fair enough
my point was its performing worse than others because its drawing less power
sure
lowering the power draw on the card when thermal throttling is not an isssue is a bad idea
thermal throttling and just being power limited is different
it was never an issue with throttling
its just unnecessarily power limited
throttling is an issue though for the CPU though if you do not consider the fact that you have to buy a beefy cooler
my thought was that we were comparing the situations
same issue, different context
though for what it's worth I consider radeon 7000 to be meh except for the 7900XTX after the price reduction
AMD has had plenty of issues, just AMD is the "underdog" so it kinda gets disregarded a lot of the time
also yea a 5700X3D is a downgrade from a 12400F
not to mention rather expensive
for sure, but Intel really took it to another level. That fact that they lied to and guilt tripped consumers for years about it until they realistically couldn't publicly deny it anymore. I mean they even hid it and lied to investors
might just be me being a little bit out of the loop on budget options these days. Thought am4 x3d were still pretty decent budget pics
yeah if youre already on am4
going from dead platform to extra dead platform is just stupid
makes sense. So 7600X would be the better budget pick then?
or 9600X if it costs about the same
for years? it all kinda happened within 1 to 2 years of raptors launch. intel never really lied about anything, the fact of the matter is that they have always had documented limits for each SKU in each generation which they expect to be upheld to under truly "stock" conditions.
What board vendors had been doing for years was simply just ignoring that document since they (the motherboard manufacture) could advertise higher performing CPUs in higher end boards, and that was never really an issue since intel had been on 14nm since forever and that stuff could eat 200A for breakfast and still last 6 years. The reason they could ignore that document on stock settings though is because it was more or less "recommended" than actually enforced, what was enforced though was not being able to change stuff like core multiplier, that was a big no no but stuff like power limits they could just remove in its entirety.
Now that was fine until you get a new shiny built from the ground up architecture (raptor lake which was 7nm) which was a lot more sensitive to current than 14nm was, board vendors do the usual and intel turns a blind eye and bam you get degradation.
as to whos fault it is I would run a split 50/50
intel should of been enforcing those limits from the get go, but board manufactures also shouldn't of toyed with the rated specs of the chips
but intel is not at fault in its entirety, the engineers write documentation for every generation that specify operating conditions
I would disagree and say more like 75/25 with Intel owning majority of blame.
reasoning for that is the fact that Intel most likely got reports of potential issues early on, but chose to sweep that under the rug.
There is also the fact that they had to push microcode updates to fix issues which means that on some level they messed up personally (unless I'm misunderstanding something here spectacularly).
There were also the issues of oxidation which just made an already bad situation worse.
All of these things were on Intel's part.
Sure, board vendors went harder than they should on the power limits, but going by how little Intel had chosen to enforce rules around it up until that point one could practically assume that Intel quietly endorsed the practice.
sometimes I love tiktok
@lusty hinge hey
so while I was playing universe sandbox, for the first time ever my pc just randomly rebooted and gave no bsod. But I did get this error in event viewer
so I checked the memory dump in this app
and the bugcheck code was 139
and the module name pointed at dxgmms2
which is directx right?
so how should I go about investigating this error further?
I did a full load test on all my hardware including ram and all that for 45 minutes and it came out with no errors or overly high temps
I was going to do a memory test using memtest but I cant do it rn since it involves going into the bios and booting from the usb drive the memtest image is set to
I did run into an anomaly when updating my gpu driver a month ago, whole pc locked up while it was updating and I unfortunately had to force shutdown, booted fine and said it was updated but I used the reinstall button nvidia had just to make sure it was fully installed. Could be the culprit idk
installed a new driver for the gpu, im going to see if I can replicate the issue again which may not be possible since it never happened before until a couple hours ago
We'll after a few hours u haven't encountered it, I'll take it a bit more seriously if it happens ever again within a month or 2.
if it hasn't happened again id probably just shrug it off as a one off
although i can't read this cuz mobile is stupid
I wouldn't recommend nvidia right now
if you can get one 😂
I'd honestly get a 9070 instead. costs the same as 5070 in my country at least
sure, 9070 isn't exactly a great value card compared to 9070xt, but then again nothing this generation really matches that value
nvidia is the apple of graphics cards
theyre not comparable
Where what benchmarks have you been seeing cause the new amd gpus and anything above the 4070 super have been destroying the 50 series so far
not to mention 5060 is gonna be a lackluster 8gb
.,
true, apple actually knows how to deliver value on something that is not a halo product
Nvidia used to know how to do that, but sadly not anymore
5070 performs better than a 4070 super
5080 performs better than a 4080, 4070 ti and a 4070 ti super
5090 performs better than a 4090
what the hell do you mean the 40 series destroys it
Sounds like something an average illinformed Apple hater would say 😅
