are you open to aliexpress?
Don’t mind
alright
i completely forgot to ask. are you going to need wifi? @cedar jungle
or can you use ethernet
Ye
yeah, the game mode is very similar to the style of some police operations here, which makes everyone want to have the tactical experience
alright
Not sure I understand but okay
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/pBpgkJ
@cedar jungle
if you purchase from the retailers linked on here, it should come to £999
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6750 XT, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
if youre open to use aliexpress, you could get a 7500f for £100. the only issue is that there is no warranty or customer service. its a thing that not many do.
i personally own 2 7500f cpus
Can’t lie I’m willing to take that risk
awesome.
Before splashing 1k on parts idk what too do with 😭
theres also another id suggest
its in 4 parts however
2 seconds
oh wow they all embed
sorry for the channel flood
@cedar jungle heres some great guides for you to follow
thanks mods
Perfect thank you
no problem
just bought a new pc and cant get the artic 7 mic to work if my life depended on it, help any1?
try checking with #1047622297382567936
if nothing works, #official-support
Is there not a cheaper case or is that the best for the price?
2 seconds
£49 instead
only difference is it loses 1 front fan and lacks RGB
Is there anywhere else I can get the parts cheaper or is the best place recommended by that website?
Not cheaping out jus tryna save money 😭
you could try looking for some used on ebay but that website is a price comparison site used to find the cheapest price
if you want to save £40 the CPU comes with a stock cooler
it isnt the greatest, or the quietest, but it works
For the cpu cooler it’s tryna tell me I can get it by December
Any other recommendations?
cheaper.
also good
Perfect
its sold by the official thermalright reseller in the UK
just in case you ask about the weird address
ive bought like, 50 things from them.
Ok ok perfect
💜
awesome
1.3 what
bananas?
i need to know country, budget in your currency, if you have any interest in overclocking, and any aesthetic preferences
im trying to build a pc but idk yet if i should use nvidia or amd as the graphic card, got some friends that got rx 7900 xt 20gb and they said its pretty good, and some others got Asus GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12gb and i should go for nvidia.
depends what youre going for
Random question out of curiosity.
Do the optimal RAM slots depend on the MOBO, or are they always 2 and 4?
Because I've seen people say both.
check your motherboard manual
I was more asking which is the case since I've had people tell me both. I know to consult the manual, I am just wondering if the 2 and 4 thing is always true like people say it is.
bogos binted
is this bulid any good im getting a 3060 12gb with a ryzen 5 5600 16g ram 1tb sdd nzxt h5 flow and if anyone can tell me a good aio that would be great
how much is it costing you
what country
is it
yeah it sucks for that price
no im trying to bulid
ok thank u
black
@noble oak
significantly better than the previous
if you wanted to save a fiver the 750w version is cheaper
would it be okay if i can change the case to a nzxt h5 flow my friend just bought a new case and gave me this case for free
yeah sure
thats fine
saves you money if anything
ah actually
h5 flow is mATX iirc
@noble oakis it the black or white h5
black
i need to change the aio but thats fine
are you happy with an aircooler or do you want an aio
is it ok if i get a aio
yeah thats fine
let me make some changes rq
ty sm
no problem
Yo is anyone on rn
💀
my audio keeps cutting out from the mic im using
idk why
its so weird
when im playing something or trying to do something on my pc my audio will cut out and then turn back on
then I gotta change my settings because it automatically turns on steel series output device
I dont want it on that
I got razer headphones
all I want is my mic to be changed not my headphones
I keep putting it on defaults but when it cuts out
it changes them
I dont understand
I also keep getting this stuff
I got a razer headset with a hyperX mic
its the older version so it doesnt work in the hyperX app
which is why im using this one which I think works with it
what should i pick between lian li o11 dynamic and montech king 95 pro?
king 95 pro has better airflow and better value. comes with lots of accessories, including a mesh panel swap. also comes with included 140mm reverse fans, 120mm reverse fans, and 120mm fans. it includes a fan and argb hub in the rear.
o11 dynamic is just... a case
@prisma tartan
nice one pal
do it elsewhere please
Any other channels?
Outside of this server
Can sum1 help me build a pc
why would you move it to dms
how are you supposed to be challenged for wrong information if its in a private conversation
That’s why I didn’t dm that person
whats your budget & country? are you gaming?
dont ask to ask
2500 dollars
And yes I’m gaming
what country
So question because I just learned about this. What's the deal with CAMM2 RAM?
I more mean should I even bother with it if I'm planning an AM5 DDR5 build?
no
Assuming I'm not forced to, I mean.
still no
What I mean by "forced to" is if the MOBO tech changes to force it before I can build the PC, I really don't have a choice.
thats not going to happen any time soon
even then nothing stops you from just buying a ddr5 board
is someone here familiar with repasting thermal paste on a laptop?
i have a question
im trying to clean this heatsink but there is this microscopic thin layer of thermal paste wich wont come of. even with alcohol.
and before u ask, the scratches on the right heatsink were already there when i opened it up
and my question: what should i do about that? leave it like it is and put new paste on it or try to use stronger cleaning methods wich i dont know about.
leave it
re-paste and clean the fans and youre good
if youre still not happy with temps, undervolt
Ye i just left it like that, and im pretty happy with the temps but still have to do a full benchmark. but thx for the fast response.

rest in peace 13900KS
Question out of curiosity. If I wanted to move off of Windows, what OS would y'all recommend?
I know nothing about Linux beyond the fact that it exists and don't even know if there is more than those two options.
MacOS
Super stable, my dad's used it for 20+ years, i myself started gaming on it for about 2 years, then onto Windows
windows is buggy, user-unfriendly, and unstable as hell comparing to Macintosh
you can put windows on a mac, but not mac on a pc sadly
Linux is also nice but would work better on worse devices like a steam deck
I've already got windows 10, my PC can't use windows 11 and I'm building a new PC anyways.
Yes, well, you can not put MacOS onto a windows machine.
You can not build a Mac either, you can pay the cost of a car for a prebuilt one
Just stick with Windows/Linux
Yeah I'm building a new gaming rig. It was originally gonna be a case swap but the MOBO died so I am just doing a full rebuild since I'd basically be doing one anyway.
Go with windows. And team Red. 💪
You'll be fine
get a cheap windows key online instead of paying 199 for a windows license
I'm already planning to go team red and I've got a 3070 already. I also already have an activated copy of Windows 10, I just don't know if I can move that from one drive to another.
(I'd be getting a 2 TB m.2 instead of the 500 GB one I've got.)
why would you suggest grey market keys
LMFAO
theyre purchased with stolen credit cards and are very often shut down and you're left without a license
just pay $139 for a 1-time windows license (Windows 11 Home Retail Download) and you literally never have to pay again
linked to your MS account
you can move it but you want to reinstall windows anyway
moving windows often brings instability, especially moving it across different architecture
I mean, I'd have to buy another windows key for that which isn't worth it, considering it's Windows 10.
I don't know how I'd reinstall it then, considering it's already installed in a partition on the old drive
create a bootable USB using the windows media creation tool
move the ssd into the pc
(It was a custom build, it came that way.)
See the problem there is I don't think I have a USB big enough.
When I say "old as hell" I mean it's almost as old as I am, it was my grandfather's before it was mine.
And I'm almost 28.
if it works it works 🤷♂️
but if you want do just order a some online or something
they're cheap
if youre in the US theres a 64GB USB on Newegg for like $3 rn
I'm assuming I can create the partition for it on install on the new drive?
Also I don't know if this is even possible atm
you have a PC now no?
For the previously stated reason
it can be any windows 10/11 device
but to reinstall windows you install your SSD and you put the USB into the PC, enter BIOS, change Boot Priority to your USB bootable device and then restart your PC
Again. Dead MOBO.
do you have like a laptop or anything
or friends with a windows device
worst case scenario you just buy a windows USB from microsoft
I do but it's a different OS with different files.
yeah that won't work
if youve got any mates with a windows 10/11 device that'll do
And considering windows is shutting down a bunch of the Windows 11 accessibility features (it's got windows 11) like control panel
not sure if its in stock
i havent personally heard about that but considering windows 10 is just being straight shut down in a year... id still choose 11
I don't know the specifics but basically they're shutting down access to Control Panel and forcing everyone to use the actual Settings app
ill take a look into that later
And unless they move everything over and make Settings actually usable
weird
We'll be losing access to a whole half of settings on Windows
Like Network settings for internet
yeah they'll probably end up changing something else along with it
But yeah the old PC with the dead MOBO has 10, the laptop has 11
I also asked this which I assume you missed
Mind DMing this to me so I don't have to look for it later?
yeah sure
On my phone atm is all
sent it
and yeah
Thanks
But yeah my main thing is I don't even know if brand matters when it comes to USB for this
Like the only decent brand I even know is Sandisk
ill see if i can find that newegg link
And I don't know if they even make USBs anymore
yes
I only know they make microSD now
uhhhh
(It got fried but I'm pretty sure the SD card is good, I'm just upgrading the capacity)
nothing really specific tbh as long as it isnt some completely unknown manufacturer
teamgroup should have some good ones but 🤷♂️
That's the one I was looking into getting
But I'm not sure if it's worth the $150 price tag.
you might be able to find one a bit cheaper elsewhere
but good luck finding a 1TB microSD for anything much lower
after about 256gb its just
Oh also, my friend is selling me his Steam Deck and I'm curious, does that also have expandable microSD storage?
iirc yeah
(I know you can expand the storage, I just don't know if it's microSD or m.2)
Any suggestion for a 1500€ build with a Rtx 4070 super ?
what country
also what for? gaming?
Italy and for gaming
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7900 GRE, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
you can change it to a 4070 super if youd like
they perform within margins of eachother
really? i thought the rx 6800 performs almost as good as a normal 4070 without the Ray Tracing
so i'd assume a 7900 gre would beat it vastly, even the super
the 6800 is on par with the 7700xt. 7900 GRE is better
also youre using the 4070
i mentioned the 4070 Super
which is on par with the 7900 GRE
yeah ofc the GRE is better, its a gen ahead
"i'd assume a 7900 gre would beat it vastly, even the super"
i thought all 7900, GRE XT and XTX were basically a 4080
no
7900 GRE is comparable to a 4070 Super / 3080 Ti
the XTX is better than both a 4080 and 4080 Super
7900 XT is somewhere in the ballpark of a 4070 Ti Super and a 3090 Ti / 4080
Right
the 7900GRE performs 30% better than a 6800 on average
Here, take a look at my PC parts, tell me, should I get the GRE, XT or XTX?
I currently have a RX 6800 + R5 5600x
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1E046HB2B0G2A
Nice
I dont want to up the price by another 200 dollars though
I have 128gb ddr4 rn, best thing ever
i will go for 32 if it has faster speeds
and lower/same timings
but no less
I sometimes do AI work
and have a lot stuff open
ahh that makes sense
I would be playing a game with mods and it could use around 20gb ram alone
hell, even CC engine_x64 uses like 15 or 16 idle
i'm comfy with 64 though
under 2k
what internet speeds do you have?
brb, eaat
alright
dm me ur advice
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
unless ive misunderstood what you're wanting, this is probably the best youll get at a nice price
@torn brook i know you said youre eating so just @ me for any questions
Anyone familiar with audio setup for htpc?
I have a computer connecting to my sony tv via hdmi and to the 5.1 system (edifier s760d) with 3.5mm from my pc.
But i have a ps4 (ps5 in the future) also connecting to the TV.
I notice people can connect to the sound system via hdmi arc so that the TV become a hub for audio. But my speakers doesnt have hdmi arc.
Is there anything (converter or sth) so that i can connect my speakers directly to the TV with hdmi arc? Can I control my speaker volume from the TV directly if I do so?
Thanks in advance
use the optical input on the speakers, your TV should have an optical output too
you'll need a toslink cable
can optical output 5.1?
also a good website to use: https://pcpartpicker.com
Anyone have WIRED in-ear earphone for gaming recommendations?
English only please
in ear?
not these then?
if youre fine with these... KSC 75
Just in-ear
@chrome wren KZ ZSN
you can get them on aliexpress for like a fiver
well, a little more
theyre solid earphones
recommended quite a lot by the audio nerds
I've also got moondrops aria snow, which I like
But between the two is definitely a matter of preference
Another reputed IEM are the linsoul tins
I bought a sibling a pair for christmas but I never actually got to try them
I think it was tinHiFi T2, not sure if there are newer models by now (probably)
those are pretty solid
couldnt comment on them myself ivenot used them
but from what ive heard theyre great
aye
hope the recommendations help NightWulf, any of the 3 I mentioned are great 👍 just depends on your budget I guess

I don't recall any of them being more than like 50 - 80 USD
Might have to get them, I used my Bluetooth earphones and they were a vibe not having a whole headset on my head, but Bluetooth and they aren't that great
hell yeah
And better for lan events that have sponsored headsets, can just have earphones under them that I'd be used to
lol yeah that works
Check out Crinacle Zero
I've been eyeing these! However, what mic do you use? I picked up the artic pro headset and I keep getting told my mic sounds awful lol. so I'm returning and potentially getting the ZS 10's + a mic
I've just been using a blue snowball for the better part of 4 - 5 years
Good quality and no hassle, sits on your desk with it's own tripod (it's quite large; a bit larger than a softball altogether)
Pretty sure this tripod unscrews so you can mount it to a mic boom if you wanted
I was never as big into microphones as much as IEMs and headphones, but well, it works well what can I say
Can't forsee it having problems after so long suddenly either unless I dropped it from the second story
i have them to... 🔝 🔝
Obviously a headset would be better, but can in-ear do directional sound at all?
Hi everyone.
of course
they do it very well
IEMs have better positioning than closed-back headphones
So which earphones should I get for gaming, with the best positioning and everything if money isn't a problem
Just want the absolute best ones
That are wired
any of the ones suggested previously will do the trick
although
i may have a tier list somewhere
High end IEMs with custom ear tips?
i gots a budget list https://razan06.blogspot.com/2024/05/budget-iem-recommendation-list.html
Budget IEM Recommendation List This is a recommendation list for IEMs under 100$. It is recommended to choose one of the cheaper IEMs and EQ...
Are these fancy enough? 😅
This reddit post might have some useful info https://www.reddit.com/r/inearfidelity/s/G0wLQGlEY4
Ok, maybe not that prices xD
I had a feeling that you'd say that 😅
How do I lower the default speed of my fans, I’m updating my PC and they’re rather loud
I run Fan Control when it’s on but it’s updating currently
BIOS
What is the best keyboard that I could buy theme quality price my budget is 100 dollars
what
oh
steelseries? or any
Yes
so any
Keychron V3 Max is a fully customizable mechanical keyboard boasting 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. It has a classic TKL (80%) layout. Effortlessly Customize any key or create macro commands through VIA software. Compatible with Mac, Windows, and Linux.
it has gamer rgb if you care about that too
Anyone have a good monitor light bar recommendation that isn't through the roof? I have a curved monitor
do you not have any lights in your room
I do
But when my brother who shares my room is sleeping I can't have the overhead lights on
makes sense
Not to mention, they just look so much sleeker
I'll have to look into it
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, Montech X3 Mesh ATX Mid Tower
how's that?
cheaper and better overall. more CPU performance + unlocked, more RAM, storage, and a better GPU
but that's not taking aesthetics into account
then again it's overall a price to performance build
I tend to notice I don't use 16gb of VRAM unless I'm trying to (4060 ti 16gb owner, OC'd to better perf than 3090), and 32gb of RAM isn't quite enough for futureproofing.
it's a good midrange, but that's like a pc that you'd see and go "okaayyyyy, not bad, not bad" whereas 64gb seems a lil high even by today's standards. 48gb is a nice middle ground that's a nice beefy spec
good for modded minecraft with distant horizons
lol
well if youre choosing 48GB of RAM for future proofing thats a bit silly
but you chose a mid kit
also a very meh SSD
its a UK list so if you switch the PCPP country to UK you can see UK pricing
notably youd see the Transcend 250S for £99.95
well I'm in US too
48gb RAM is really good too though
it sure is
if you want, it's got the highest speeds
it helps if you choose a better kit though
yeah, but that's budget.
although the good 48gb kits get expensive
well how much are you spending
remember, my build there has better overall specs at a price cut of like 70-80 bucks or more
or is this alterations to the one i made
it's one i made
legit just type uk.pcpartpicker instead of just pcpartpicker
to see uk prices
yesh.. i know
yeah
a lot of those things become pretty meh in the UK
2tb ssd for example is rubbish compared to the 250S being cheaper and better
although im happy to take another look and make another that sacrifices aesthetics for performance
it depends on model
its silly to choose brand
the ones i picked are good
well it's better than my 7yo ssd that's in my current rig rn
sure
7yo 1tb that just says helix on the side
lucky
another is... hiding
it could be worse though. at least you didnt choose the NV2
you can get them cheap refurbished
like sure it's slow but it's more than I'd need for a while
like $120 for 16TB iirc
no they're hella cheap new too
i mean youre in the US right?
yeah
but then again a lot of stuff's initially cheap only to bite you in the ass with tax and other fees in checkout
theres a pcie m.2 for $105
2tb
pretty nice
better hardware than the MP44L
are you willing to install crystal disk and SMI
alr have crystaldisk
uhhh which thing do i get
both work
nvme flash id?
not used this drive for too long
i always install the wrong CDI..
anyway
i need to install my 250S
ill be back later with the hardware 😊
✨
i mean
yesn't
its fine
its not like you want it at 20%
unused ram is just wasted
90+% usage is only an issue if you are consistently suffering performance loss from the lack of ram capacity
I made a config, if you have any modifications to improve by an equivalent price I would do so, thank you
Part List - AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, Radeon RX 7800 XT, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
what is this pc for
gaming 100% , not streaming
get intel cpu and get a z series mobo
budget is 1.5k euros?
lol what
amd sucks
yes , i live in french
is 1567 euros fine?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, Radeon RX 7900 XT, Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
much better GPU
merci , je la trouve mieux
no problem
the RAM kit included is Hynix-M die so if you want to overclock it, its great
sorry I didn't translate
is this really necessary? ^^
yes because they are already very good I think
yes they are already good
you can optionally purchase more fans for the bottom and top if youd like, but it isnt necessary
ok thanks
My new case has a usb c port on it but my motherboard doesn't have a usb c header. Does someone have an adapter they found that works for them?
there are many adapters online, even on amazon. they will limit you to slower speeds though
this works
if youre happy to give up USB-A i would get a 19 pin adapter instead https://amzn.eu/d/iLY2hin
you can probably get them for like... a dollar on aliexpress
yup. works fine.
not like itll look any uglier anyway cuz you just hide it in the back
Yeap
minecraft with distant horizons, 1,000 chunk render distance at very high quality preset
was stuttering up to 25.2gb when i only have 24 allocated to minecraft, lagging a lot due to not being able to give it enoug to slurp up
Can anyone help me I’m looking for the fastest External Hard Drives, Internal Hard Drives, External SSDs, Internal SSDs?
that is quite stupid
why external
Check the SSD reviews section of techpowerup. Not sure about hard drives but probably WD Black.
Best not to buy an external HDD or SSD because if the proprietary board breaks it'll be difficult to retrieve the data. It's safer to just buy an enclosure and slot in the HDD/SSD.
Ok fair enough thank you
Are Corsair good fans?
Is this worth 620 euro?
it's almost half price for not a year old computer so that's decent.. If you decide to buy I would consider to upgrade the RAM either 2 more of the same sticks in it or new 2x16 and sell the ones inside..
The CPU came out in 2022 so it's not older than that 😉
Ye i like that its so new, lower risk then since it is used. I have a i7 6700k and 1070 with 16 ram but only 117gb ssd😂. Would be a good upgrade i guess
my GG moments are not working every time i start or capture it doesnt work
i mean its not recording anything
could anyone help with this build? https://pcpartpicker.com/user/teflox/saved/#view=cm4x99
Saved Part Lists
it sucks
$700 is your budget?
go for ddr4 12400f instead
not sure why youre using US pcpp actually
976,09 but could stretch, can you elaborate why it sucks
2x8 ddr5, awful priced gpu
meh ssd + psu
whats your budget
in your currency
what would you change on the ssd or psu. buget it 10 000 sek, but can stretch it
no wifi,
here the build is in sek https://se.pcpartpicker.com/user/teflox/saved/#view=cm4x99

7700xt is better
but it costs more
thanks. could i go for any of these instead? cheaper https://www.netonnet.se/art/datorkomponenter/grafikkort/amd/asus-radeon-rx-7600-xt-dual-oc-16gb/1033194.8988/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=p-se-netonnet-datorkomponenter-pmax&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIv4KT96-_iAMVcxiiAx1HEQ40EAQYASABEgJ_OvD_BwE https://www.webhallen.com/se/product/368481-Sapphire-PULSE-RX-7600-XT-GAMING-OC?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Pmax | Bestsellers&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIv4KT96-_iAMVcxiiAx1HEQ40EAQYAiABEgKD-_D_BwE
why do they suck, since i dont know much about this i want to know why to learn
they cost more than competing gpus
if you want a cheaper gpu get the 6650 XT
performs only about 3% worse than the 7600XT on average but costs much less
i see, will go 7700 xt but would like ddr5 ram. Isnt that if significantly worse than the 7600x?
no lol
well
yeah
but you cant afford it
not without making silly choices
why would you "like" ddr5 ram
bru
LOL idk what im doing
How do I fix them I just winged it
I turned down my render distance and the noise improved
well yes
less load on gpu
so it wont draw as much power
resulting in lower temps
easiest fix is to do this
flat line supremacy
just play around with the fan curves
you can have them at whatever you want ig
as long as it doesnt throttle who cares
No now you've made me self conscious of my fan curves
Any opinions on this? Will the psu be enough and is there any other bigger case around the same price? Cable management could be hard atm?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7500F, Radeon RX 6800, KOLINK Citadel Mesh MicroATX Mini Tower
looks fine
psu is fine
why a.. bigger case?
Since it’s a “micro” I tough cable management could be hard but I might be mistaken
Thanks! Someone said that the ram might not be compatible but from what I’ve gathered it should?
Thanks, will order this tomorrow then 😊
awesome
Btw would a gold psu be worth it for temps? I have place for it in my budget, nog a big difference in price
no
thats not how buying PSUs works anyway
but no
majority of the time PSUs can be passively cooled anyway
its only really under their high loads the fans actually necessary
Yeah okay thanks
no problem

Hello, i have a friend which have an AMD Ryzen 5 4500 and he was offered a MSI GeForce RTX 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK OC 8GB GDDR6 DLSS3, can anyone tell me if there is bottleneck there?
yes
so what
theres a bottleneck in every pc ever
i have a headset mic and when i try to connect it to my laptop it only uses the laptop mic instead of the headset mic can someone help
are you switching it in settings
any changes if i can stretch my budget a bit? Should i get another cpu maybe if i want to be able to upgrade gpu in the future?
ryzen 5 7600 - cpu
or a 7900 GRE - gpu
although why upgrade cpu
anything further than a 6800 you should be at 1440p
ah my bad, it was about a build for my brother i asked. He wants to buy this but we are unsure about the motherboard he want to play at 1080 and not have to upgrade in the next few years. Is this ok? https://se.pcpartpicker.com/list/r964KX

finished with the build now but im still looking for a motherboard. Many of them say i need to update bios so the motherboard can support the cpu. Could you suggest a motherboard where i wont have to do that hassle? https://se.pcpartpicker.com/list/YhZzz6

id go for the 2nd one tbh
It says only the last one is compatible without updating the bios. These should also work but which is best? https://se.pcpartpicker.com/product/RH9wrH/gigabyte-b550m-k-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-b550m-k https://se.pcpartpicker.com/product/mxZ9TW/biostar-b450mx-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-b450mx https://se.pcpartpicker.com/product/jQrRsY/asus-prime-b550m-a-wifi-ii-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-prime-b550m-a-wifi-ii
The last ones wifi is a plus but i only care about which would be best
i would like to point out that its a warning/disclaimer that it could potentially need an update.
this is AM4
if you receive an old version, the easier fix is to return it and buy a new motherboard.
everything you buy now should realistically support any AM4 CPU
exception being 5500x3d.. whenever that releases
ah okay. But would any of those be good? I dont care about the extra cost
out of all 6 posted?
ye if you know anything about them

depends how much yourespending
if possible, spend the little more for the pro vdh
and feel free to ignore the user reviews under that gigabyte board. user reviews are silly.
thanks! Since i dont know anything about motherboards would you mind explaining why the msi is better?
VRMs, comes with a heatsink which is a nice little feature, more M.2 slots
also rear io
and the final touch
it has BIOS flashback
whats that
well, if what youre on about earlier happens
its no issue
you can update the BIOS using a USB without ever having turned the PC on before
you just need the CPU in the socket and your power connections properly flush
Got an MSI motherboard with a Flash BIOS button on the rear I/O? Here's a step-by-step guide on what you will need and how to use the Flash BIOS button.
Chapters:
0:00 BIOS Flash Button Tutorial Intro
0:25 What You'll Need
0:29 Creating the USB stick to flash the BIOS
0:49 Formatting the USB stick
1:14 Downloading the BIOS from us.msi.com
1:43 ...
life saver
and you know how fearmongering exists about the whole "BIOS is scary because if your pc loses power you brick your PC"
flashback eliminates that
youd have to completely fry your bios chip for it to be bricked atp
Thanks man im saving the vid! If i start the pc with the cpu in and the motherboard isnt updated will something be damaged? I heard that coudl happen
yesnt
it could
very unlikely
like, incredibly unlikely
even if, worst case scenario you just RMA it lol
ok ill just do as the vid before i start to build the pc then
go for it
thanks alot man you have been very helpful during all this.
no problem
anyone know of any GOOD wall mounts for a 47.5 in LG UltraGear curved monitor?
Yes and no It depends on what aspect you're getting it for and use it
Apparently the motherboard ive ordered to my build doesnt have optical audio port which i need. Could i get another motherboard or is it better to get an audio card? https://se.pcpartpicker.com/list/Lpzk4M

Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
peak budgeting
you could probably get some nicer things if you ditched AM5
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cJV3VW for $10 more you can also get an AM5 board that doesnt look like crap
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
i would go with intel and for that price u can probably use some of ur parts that u have and buy some core parts to make ur current pc run a hell of a lot better
with just upgrades
okay so why dont you come up with a selection of parts
a 12600kf bundle from MC slaps
Alr thanks
What price do you think is decent for a built pc it's got a i9 11900k rtx 3090 24gb 4tb of ssd nvme case Is a nzxt one, 32gb ram, Asus prime motherboard and a 850w psu
Why would you even buy 3090 thou ?
Why not?
Have you any knowledge about tech and PC parts whatsoever ?
Not really just bought my first pc and that's what was in it
Yeah
lol
Want to see if I got it for a decent price
Wasn't new btw this was second hand
£990
I just bought what I got told was a good deal
Damn you really have no faith in it?
Is there something wrong with a 3090?
How old are you btw ?
20
I see, well anything can happen since it's second hand stuff you never know .... I hope it works out for you, and you did not get ripped off ...
Ayt nws
what
why
the only issue realistically would be the psu
because i dont know what psu it uses
Everything is an issue, you have no idea if somebody actually tried some " repairs " on his own ...
True but that's always the risk with second hand
So many times I have seen people buying GPUs and then couple of moths later they stopped working, you never know what is inside, you see the outside shell and you think its 3090, 3080, whatever but which exactly card, how much is used and was it in mining and so one ... Like the list is lon g ...
I would never buy second hand PC stuff ever... But that is me ...
Fair enough but ik where the guy lives
I told him I'm coming back if there's any problems
And what ? You gonna get in trouble for 1 card or 1 pc ? Is not worth it in any case, if there is no warranty and you don't know the guy, for me at least is a no go buying like that ..
why do you care about if it was mined on
any competent miner would have the card in a better condition than a gamer would
That is so far away from the truth ....
no it isnt
Everyone is extremely abusive towards their cards and then just move on ...
gamers typically leave the card stock
and fluctuate the load
whereas miners tend to have them undervolted and a persistent load
I know, but obviously in different part of the world different stuff are happening, and most of the % of the miners are dumb as F, same as gamers if not worse in many cases ...
Cool ... Let's agree to disagree ...
What you know is non of my concern neither do I care of what you know, it's your life and your experience if you are blind enough to believe everyone everywhere does the same stuff as what is happening around you, you need a severe CHECK UP 😄
Exactly not everybody does and maganes their mining rigs the same way as people around you, or in your group or whatever the F you are reading it ...
the thing is, i never said that every miner treats the gpu well.
In my country most of the miners are dumb as F and they don't even know what are they doing, they buy a machine or 10, abuse it on max wait for a miracle and then buys new ones ..
majority of miners however do undervolt
theyre profit focused
some even flash vbios
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan again you are stuck with " majority " and " I know " and " I am right "
No firstly they don't, second there is WORLD AROUND YOU and most of the people actually are clueless ...
what do you think im basing my info from
you say this as if im going from joe next door
you're very condescending
In any case, have a nice day ^^
im having a nice day, thanks.
Splendid. (=
a lot of the time when people try to correct me with wrong information i tend to not care.
It's not a wrong or right information, it's FACTS ............
😂
but i mean, sure. again, not every miner does
Holy f ................ Yeah I really am done talking to you, it's like talking to a cow who goes " mooooo " and everything else is BS
same way not every gamer leaves stock
my gpu is undervolted and power limited
i dont draw more than 250w ever
a lot of miners (not all, but a lot) undervolt. undervolting cuts down on the power use, thus increasing profit.
i do not claim ever to be all
there are idiots out there who just... leave it
ive seen it myself
but a lot cut down
We got you the first time you wrote it, we know what undervolting is, and gamers are in many cases 10 times more carefull with their stuff than the average joe who bought a mining rig, connect is to the grid and wait to become a millionaire 😄
Nah, it can't be 😄
As I said, lets agree to disagree ...
There is miners who are smart, there is gamers who actually cares about their stuff too
That does not make one or another thou the majority of people, I think is mostly based on region and information, in many countries people are dumb as F and beside watching Tik Tok and youtube " how to become a millionaire " are dellusional as F otherwise ...
I am talking about my experience with people, and miners in my country, majority ARE INSANELY CONFUSED of what is happening around them, and based on that I can tell you that the gamers in my country, are 20 times better in caring about their tech than the guy who bought something plug it on and wonders the F is happening ...
in other news. buy frozen warframe!
🔥

It looks cool !
oh i love thermalright

👌👌
I am not a big RGB fan, but you can always say when something looks nice ..
I didnt used to be aswell thought they look tacky but tbh the more iv seen it in person done properly it looks nice
Indeed .....
rgb is cool
i like my rgb pink.

Part List - Intel Core i9-14900KS, GeForce RTX 4090, Corsair 7000D AIRFLOW ATX Full Tower
its awful
spending £4000 on just components is ludicrous
ill make some changes later
Part List - AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, GeForce RTX 4090, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
although i wouldnt be surprised if you were just trolling
240mm AIO on a 14900KS 😹😹
@inner wren
what is the best steelseries headset?
thanks bro i go take nova pro
That's a pretty vague question, depends a lot on your needs and preferences
Nova Pro wireless is the highest end headset SteelSeries has
oh yeah forgor about wireless
hey im looking to build my first pc, i want a white setup and i want to know if theres anything i should change, or if theres any white motherboards for around the same price or slightly higher https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9kFKCd
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, NZXT H6 Flow RGB ATX Mid Tower
going white is stupid expensive btw
for $2k i'd expect a 4080/7800X3D system but if you are going to commit to it being white then thats about what i would expect
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Yywysh
i threw this together in about 3 minutes so if you can do better be my guest
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
if it doesnt explode or trip ocp then its going to be good enough
okay just be vague about it instead of actually saying
that PSU is pretty bad quality
uses bad internals
i mean
im surprised youre happy to recommend it to someone
okay what do you mean "uses bad internals"
what do you think i mean lol
the internals of that PSU are bad
it is simply a bad psu
okay but how does that affect anything?
what???
your giving a vague reason
i just gave you the reason
"bad internals" could quite literally mean anything
yeah and that "anything" in this case is all of it
the entire psu sucks
its bad
awful
id never in a million years buy one
@alpine dawn ^^
source?
hwbusters covers it iirc
besides
he doesnt even need 850w
but sure
as soon as i find out if he has MC as an option i will provide a PCPP list
yours isnt bad
its actually pretty decent
the only thing id change is the motherboard and the psu
I cant find a review of that model anywhere but in the 850W GF review hardware busters did they would "consider it" and that it passed "all ATX3.0 tests with sucess"
also board is irrelevant since its X3D, basically just whatever IO you need
youre paying 140 dollars for 2 m.2
b650m pro rs / wifi should be same price
he wants 2TB of m.2 space not me
and something that doesnt have terrible IO randoms
again board is opinion based since any bad board is going to do the job fine
just a matter of how many m.2 slots and usbs you want
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
if he wants white its still doable
especially if he has MC access
could get even cheaper tbh
although no native 12vhpwr
like 2.5 hours
are you playing 1440p or 4K
1440
