what
i guess this guy is weird (not you lisquie)
.
what
@tepid oasis
So is screen "burn in" covered with waranty for the DAC and the Arctis Nova Pros?
maybe. i doubt it
screen burn in is almost unavoidable
doesnt happen on my loupedeck.....
i dont actually remember talking about a loupedeck
apex pro mini wireless bluetooth is not working can you help me
You can ask others for help in #1047622297382567936
Or contact SteelSeries through #official-support
If anyone can find a 1440p monitor, that is 27 inches and looks EXACTLY the same as a LG 27GP950-B, and I mean exactly the same, I'll give you some money
Or the same as a 27GP95R-B
Hey, just looking for a little advise. It's time to put together a new comp. My finances are tight so I don't have a huge budget but I'd like to be able to play anything for a while. I'm looking at:
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX 7800 XT
Corsair Vengeance 32 GB DDR5-6000
Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280
I was looking at the Asus PROART B650-CREATOR but I just dislike Asus. If anyone could advise a decent £150-£200 ish MB and any changes they may suggest to save I'd appriciate it.
I have added the NZXT Kraken Elite cos I do quite fancy the display but if there's a better/cheaper option with display, would love to know. Thanks people.
MSI PRO B650-P WIFI
240 or 360?
I've stopped using AIOs
Had a few where the pump failed
There wasn't much performance difference to air cooler so I went with noctua
240
Yeah, to be fair I think your right. It's honestly just the display. Its pure marketing asthetic I think. I'd prolly better with just a fan.
ID-COOLING SL240
Deepcool MYSTIQUE 240
Thermaltake TH240 V2 Ultra EX ARGB Sync
Gigabyte AORUS WATERFORCE X
All are cheaper than the NZXT one, with a screen.
If you're going for air cooling, I'd go for Noctua NH-D15S chromax.black
Much appreciated dude. I'll have a look at these now.
there isnt anymore
unless youre getting top tier 360mm aios
any decent air cooler can match or even just outperform 240mm aios
they usually match 360mm aios
youre in the UK
do NOT get the kraken elite
absolutely not.
you have the Frozen Vision and the Frozen Warframe available to you
i would change this
are you using PCPP?
nh-d15s is completely irrelevant on a 7800X3D
waste of money
peerless assassin 120 SE works
phantom spirit 120 EVO if you want a considerably better but still cheap cooler
the 7800X3D is a 60-70w cpu if youre gaming
the 990 Pro is also a ludicrous SSD
none of them are reasonably priced
LG 27GP850-B
theyre literally the exact same as far as i know
if you have a PCPP list, send it here. if not, whats your budget?
entire budget
The look different, I want them to look exactly the same.
ill take a look
I can't find any, which is really annoying
They've discontinued the 27GP950-B, even though it's the best monitor they sold, IMO.
They replaced it with the 27GP95R-B, which is "newer" and the same monitor but without the RGB on the back, but it's out of stock and hasn't been in stock for a while, so I can't even get the same monitor I already have as a second screen, it's rather annoying
tbf its LG anyway
Most monitors use LG displays
IDC about pricing, just want it to look exactly exactly the same as my current main monitor.
ha yeah i respect it
It was one of the cheapest, 4K 144hz+ Gsync, HDR monitors when I bought it, and had the best specs so
fair enough
what gpu are you running
also i think cerritus is shy i keep seeing him type
3080, until 5000 series comes out.
im assuming the aw2723df is too far off your liking
dont think youre getting anything other than that though
or the 850-B
Yeah, it's quite annoying, just want both my monitors to look the same xD
I currently have the 27GP950-B as my main, and a 4K, 60hz Samsung as my second, and it annoys my OCD with them being different.
dual 4k are you insane
wait
the samsung one is ips isnt it
actually
they both are
you need to treat yourself and replace it with an OLED 4K wtf
TN, whatever that is.
yeah youre looking at about a grand
Lol! Cheers, I saw the initial "oh no". To be fair, it's been a while since I built a new PC and stuff is well past me so I appreciate the look in. Budget is something like £1300 - £1500. I'm still rocking an old VG248QE so I'll need a lil cash for a new monitor. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/fxGy6D
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7800 XT, Corsair Carbide Series 275R ATX Mid Tower
this is gaming right?
i assume so from the 8x3d
and iirc you mentioned it
Yeah, is indeed. And am in the UK.
I do, and the powersupply
awesome
Can't find a 27 inch, 4K OLED, with 144hz+
how comfortable are you with https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005863188096.html?
Alienware doesn't even have a 27" 4K monitor at all
theres a very small amount of 27 inch 4k oleds
theyre all 60hz
so nevermind
theyre also 2.3k but shh
Wanted a monitor that looks exactly the same as my 27GP950-B, but 1440p, (Looks for my OCD, 1440p, because I don't need 4K for spotify and Discord mainly xD)
But can't find any, so I was going to get another 27GP950-B, but it's discontinued.
Found the 27GP95R-B, which is the same, but no RGB on the back, but always out of stock.
yikes
youre looking for something pretty specific
that im almost sure doesnt exist
crazy wtf
Wish I bought one then xD
Yeah, I do have trust issues
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/XsXKz6
7600 doesnt really get higher than like 60w in gaming. gpu is also under synthetic benchmark
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7900 XT, Corsair Carbide Series 275R ATX Mid Tower
it could be cheaper but that would obviously result in a 7500f from aliexpress and an mATX white motherboard
personally ive bought like 3 of those 7500f cpus but its your purchase
you can ignore the sapphire 7900XT
thats a different model cuz i got lazy
you could also buy all of this from amazon if you wanted, for whatever reason, and still only pay about £40 more
so if you want literally everything to arrive tomorrow
the ram might be a US import actually if you buy from amazon
ill double check
if it is, ill change it
yes
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7900 XT, Corsair Carbide Series 275R ATX Mid Tower
Hynix-A die ram.
i also have that ram kit
Thank you, very much. I was just looking at the Frozen Vision, it is a good lookin' cooler. I will probably go peerless assassin for the saving. Tho if I stumble on some money down the back of the couch 😉
frozen vision looks awesome. i have it
frozen warframe is cheaper, although iirc the black 360mm version is oddly difficult to come by at a reasonable price
ill link you the cooler
it should be cheaper on a seperate amazon link
https://amzn.eu/d/07gJivRF - frozen vision
https://amzn.eu/d/0dEGsrMa - peerless assassin 120 se
Thermalright Frozen Vision 360 Black Liquid CPU Water Cooler with 12cm PWM Fan,2.88-inch square image IPS LCD Display,Computer CPU Water Cooling for AMD/AM4/AM5,Intel 1700/1150/1151/1200/2011
dispatched by amazon, sold by deliming321 (the official thermalright reseller in the UK)
ive bought about 20 things from them lol
Guys, which mobo do u rec me for a r5 5600? I had b550m aorus elite but a coil fried and idk if it was my fault, or psu, o bad unit, or that mobo in general
Hi! I have an r5 5600X, overclocked to 4.7 GHz, and I'm using an Asus TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS WIFI II, so far it's flawless, but it's also true that I bought it in January.
- I don't know why this happened, I'm not that involved
it is not worth paying more for am4
find the cheapest b550 you can that suits your needs
b450 if you dont need anything special, but make sure it has a bios flashback button
yes until you either change them or clear cmos
Thing about b450 is i cant uodate bios without that bios button right?
Also, nvme speeds are lowet than b550 no?
And idc, giga aorus elite b550m is 100€
Which i consider pretty decent
But thats the one i had, and a cpu coil died. Idk if that mobo is bad in general or just that unit
Or what
no..?
its just that its older
it could come with an older bios version that doesnt support your cpu
its fine
no
So which mobo do u rec me? @lusty hinge
what country are you in
do you need wifi
MSI B550 GAMING GEN3 if you want something cheap. doesn't have any ARGB headers at all
ASRock B550M-HDV is also a cheaper option, albeit worse VRMs.
Gigabyte B550M DS3H (mATX version) has bios flashback, lacks on features.
ASRock B550M Pro4 (mATX) is probably the best you'll get for €100.
no
ASRock B550 Pro4 (ATX) is probably your best choice if you want a full sized ATX board
i wouldnt spend any more than the €116 euros the Pro4 ATX costs
I dont care taking a micro atx
has an included m.2 nvme heatsink which is neat
choose from these 4 then
#💻-building-a-pc message
the Pro4 has flashback
The asus rog strix costs 120. Is that one good for that price?
the b550-f?
Yeah different shops
rear usb-c, bios flashback, nvme heatsink. the VRMs are.. alright
I not an extreme overclocker user
still €120?
Ye
no problem
@lusty hinge i found the msi mpg for 100€
Probably im going for that one, i think
Seems good
Which one should I pick
Someone who knows what they’re talking about please
And I don’t care about price so not the cheaper one
Or if anyone has any different suggestions
AM4?
Not sure what that is , or if your even referring to my post
Lil clueless with some of this stuff mb
I would say use the Maximus if you want to overclock considering it has a bit more included for it but if not I would personally steer toward the strix. If you haven’t, you should go to the rog website and use their compare tool, most of the stuff is similar if not the same. Strix has more included for it general for casual builders but Maximus has more for over locking such as bios reset and q-led for diagnosing if there are problems.
Well haven’t done too much overclocking but I’d love to get into it so I think I will end up going with the Maximus that’s what everyone else has been telling me as well, but if you have any other suggestions for mobos around the some price that may be a little better I’d love to hear it, and what did am4 mean
I am always looking for decent mobos so I will tell you and am4 is an amd chipset so don’t worry about what he said unless you change from intel to amd
Well hopefully ordering tommorow , so if any ideas come to mind I’d be greatly appreciated , and if not is this gonna be somewhat future proofed for a i9 or 40 series thanks again.
neither of them lmfao
bios reset? you mean... clearing cmos? the feature on...... every single motherboard ever?
can someone help me with mic i js bought new headphones
At this point, I'm done waiting to do a full rebuild. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a MOBO compatible with an 8600K (I think it's coffeelake)?
Thts why I asked for different suggestions, so any?
For games like gta5, rainbow six siege and rust what would be the best gpu?
do you already have a 10th/11th gen intel cpu?
a 4090
Yes i7-11700 , which I’m stuck with for now at least , plans to move to a i9 over the next year
I mean most likely
whats this computer for
Just gaming
why are you upgrading to another dead end cpu for marginal boosts
youre better off saving for current gen AMD or a 12th gen intel
Well when I upgrade to i9 I’m probably gonna get a new motherboard then , what should I get for now 🙏
No for my i7 , I need something for now I’m on a stock dell MOBO
Shiii no worries , just that was planning on doing it soon , would the XIII HERO not be a decent pick?
are you in the US?
ill take some quick looks
ive got a moment free
Yes , thanks your the best
did you need wifi
Sorry having trouble with my connection right now, but doesn’t need but it wouldn’t hurt
awesome
ive got low signal myself
there are.. not very many decent boards
as in, the cheapest one (MSI MAG B560M MORTAR) is $250 as far as i can see
which is a waste of money when you consider a 7600/X is $190
or a 7500f for $130 and then some ddr5 ram for $95
Not to worried about price , if that changes anything
I’ll def take a look at those
eh the idea is more so it becomes a waste of money when theres better options for cheaper/similar
for example, AM5
That’s exactly why I’ve had such a tough time picking one out I knew there were better options for cheaper, but if you had to pull the trigger on one today for me what would you pick
Sorry to be such a pain lol I’m not the most knowledgeable when it comes to MOBOS
i would probably go for the Gigabyte Z490 AORUS ELITE
its.. pricy
$277 from what i can see
but it has 3 m.2 nvme slots. would be 2 but you have a rocket lake cpu
the VRMs on it are alright
they could be better sure but theyre fine
theres no wifi connectivitiy on this board though
only wired
Sorry what are vrms and Ik your gonna clown me when I ask this but is there a HDD slot
And that’s okay I can always get a WiFi chip and throw it in no?
there are 6 sata data ports yes
ill take a look
im not sure if its e-key is easily accessible, if it even has one. unless you're on about a pcie wifi card
no e-key so itll have to be a pcie card
Nah I’m just gonna Shutup and listen to you lmao f the WiFi
VRMs are the voltage regulator modules
Ahhhh
Damn I think I’m about to pull the trigger on her
But definitely better than the XIII Hero?
how much are you getting the xiii hero for?
xiii hero is better in feature-set but in terms of actual VRM capabilities its the same
personally i would go for the xiii hero if it doesn't look smashed up to bits
4 m-key slots, better rear io and wifi
its also a higher chipset
Mmmm okay thank you so much g I’d love to add you and show you how the build ends up
go for it. feel free to post it in #1059414196858662923 too
The goat bro and real quick again sorry , does it need to come with any cords accessories that are needed because I think this is just the mobo by itself https://www.ebay.com/itm/256573469488?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=mdtampa-Qai&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
i dont believe so. you may need to buy an M.2 screw
although you could also just borrow them from your board
You’ve been a huge help bro again I really appreciate it
no problem
that listing states it'll come with the io shield (id hope so, considering its built in) and the original box
if wifi isnt necessary for you then its fine, but if you need wifi, you may need to buy the dongles to connect to the board
theyre universal, im not aware of asus using any weird proprietary stuff for that
im not sure if that listing will come with the dongle, thats all
I’ll keep that in mind
All ordered 😎 and I made sure to screenshot what u said in case
thats awesome. hope its all good
how to completely reset our apex 7 tkl keyboard
I noticed when using a comparison tool that some of these other options were similar with crossfire comparability , is that worth a damn
nope
crossfire is the AMD alternate to SLI
both have been long dead
very worthless
even when alive they were useless
The goat at it again…heard
no problem 😊
Is it even worth it to use two gpus now adays
no
Just looks cool
you need very niche uses for it
like, very very niche
some people running AI are starting to shift towards multi-gpu but its not at all a performance uplift to them
i know 2x3090 is something i see somewhat often
Damnnn
Ahhh true you think that’ll change anytime soon
its supposed to be soonish
Damnnnnn insane starting price finna be in the thousands
haha definitely
Hey guys (and gals)! I have a little bit of tech knowledge, but I'm new to building a PC (piecing one together in 1998 and building one now are night and day). I bought a new, cheap Cyberpower PC for $600 from Best Buy with Ryzen 5 5500 cpu and a Radeon RX 6500 XT (on a Prime 550 motherboard). It plays games great straight out of the box as long as I leave settings alone, but I'm worried that I won't be able to have the extra power to stream. Personally, the graphics don't have to be a million-K UHD to me, I just want everything to be smooth. So I did a benchmark and it said possible bottleneck due to the GPU (RX 6500 XT). So my problem comes in here... I don't know much about how to tell what is compatible with this and that, and I just want to upgrade my GPU to something a little more powerful but not overkill. Can I put a 7 series AMD GPU on that Ryzen 5 5500 and Prime 550 motherboard? Or is there a better option? OR... am I just an idiot that has his setting messed up? Also, if anyone has any advice AT ALL, about anything with my setup... please feel free to absolutely load me down and thank you! Thank you for your time, in advanced!!!
if you have the money id try not to buy a prebuilt pc
they are cheaper but building one yourself is much better
who wants to buy me a pc a monitor some cords and show me how to set it up ?
That's def what I should've done, but with it being my first time messing with it in 20 years, I assumed too much had probably changed. I would've never even thought to check the pcie compatibility on the motherboard to see if it was compatible with the gpu and stuff like that. Just saying that, I'm pretty sure I would've burned my house down. 🤣
depending on your budget id recommend a 40 series gpu because the 30 series are getting a little old, thats if you choose nvidia and theres obviously the cpu and motherboard, also ddr5 is what id recommend for memory and 16gb is alr
ew
budget, country, use case?
sybau
you absolutely can put a 7000 GPU onto that motherboard. your PSU and case size is your restriction here.
..?
what are you saying ew for
because, ew.
you're ew
sybau
still dont have a clue what that means lmfao
if youre gonna spit gibberish out, go for it.
also, avoid bottleneck calculators. @true cliff
learn yo acronyms
im good
😂
This is pretty poor advice on upgrading a prebuilt
especially financially
The specs seem decent, good enough for 1080p gaming and probably streaming? You should try a test stream, just play your game and stream at 1080p 60hz for a while
Monitor on a second device how your stream flows, if there are any hardware related dips or performance issues.
Dont listen to bottleneck benchmarks. Most of the time they are inaccurate and just depends on use cases.
If you are suffering from performance issues, then yes you can upgrade. But please dont upgrade just because the bottleneck check said youre underperforming.
During Covid you could get some banger deals for a prebuilt
^
if he plans on just 1080p gaming + hobbyist streaming then upgrading to a 40 series is pretty silly
also, the suggestion of 16GB DDR5 was pretty meh
a 6500xt isnt the best gpu but it should hold up
if he wants to just get a smaller & affordable but also noticeable performance upgrade, a 6750xt would be great (assuming US)
Agreed, DDR5 is still a pretty poor choice even after it being out for so long
I would choose ddr4 over ddr5 any day just for price and performance
I havent had a case where I felt that my ram wasnt "fast" enough
just not enough capacity wise
im assuming you are aware that DDR4 at certain price points is.. stupid
DDR5 is honestly not as bad as people make it out to be. granted it isn't as stable as DDR4 can be but you'll only really notice this if you try using 4 sticks of DDR5
Yeah but there are a lot of factors that come into that. DDR5 is still fairly new and I still dont think its ready to confidently adopt imo
Im still on 4 sticks of overclocked ddr4 ram runing at 3600 and I have never felt a lack of performance from them
I do a bit of ram heavy stuff such as managing website databases and whatnot and its as quick as I would want it to be
Dunno about prices in US but ddr4 is now dirt cheap in AUS
not many really move to DDR5 for performance uplift
it doesn't see one most of the time
its faster sure, but its latency and timings are higher
it performs a tad better than DDR4 at adequate speeds
its like $23 for 2x8 in the US
haha yeah thats pretty good
both ddr4 and ddr5 are worthless the moment that new one i cant remember the name of releases 🔥
i remember now
camm2
pretty sure camm2 is looking rough but its okay because its camm2
bro anything bro i just wanna run games smooth and not have to constantly blow ice by my low end pc so it wont blow up gng
america
bro any case gang lool
I don’t know much, I’m telling him to build his own

@uncut compass
well, a budget would help. otherwise why not go for a 7800X3D and a 4090?
ja
Read the FAQ message above my comment
ok but how much
bcz i dont have space
like fivem and fortnite
i really cant recommend anything without knowing your budget and target resolution
So someone who doesn't know what they are talking about is telling someone else who doesn't know either to just "do it themselves"...
💀
dm plz
so ik im cheap but anything that can run me barely like under 1.5k
Any recs for an AIO is 240 worth or should I grab a 120
a 120mm? no
240mm? meh
both get easily beaten or are on par with a good air cooler
frozen notte 360mm is like $60
aqua elite v3 is also $60 iirc
both 360mm
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, Radeon RX 7900 XT, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
kept it all black with a bit of rgb
it can easily be cheaper
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7900 XT, Montech AIR 903 BASE ATX Mid Tower
bonus points if you use aliexpress and buy a 7500f
need a pc that can run gta fivem. and fortnite for cheap.. any recommendations ?? DM ME!
budget, country?
How do u undervolt ryzen cpus? With curve optimizer?
@noble oak probably any amd apu will work
Like 300-400 greece
look on second hand sites such as Ebay and Facebook marketplace
I have a 240mm space on the top exsaust and I bought all the fans to fill in the rest, so kinda set myself up for a 240 , plus I’m a bit of a stickler and really wanna get a Asus aio to match the MOBO I think I found a decent one that’s not covered in RGB which like all aio are nowadays
But lmk if I fked up or if it’ll be fine enough https://a.co/d/9kIidV8
ASUS ROG Strix LC II 240 is the perfect solution for RGB enthusiasts and delivers high-performance CPU liquid cooling with clean aesthetics. Featuring a closed-loop design and radiator fans, unleashes the full potential of your unlocked Intel or AMD CPU, while further accentuating your build with...
Don’t say that
aqua elite v3 240mm
just turn rgb off using OpenRGB or SignalRGB
No Asus Mr goat man
theres also the frozen notte if youre into infinity mirrors
think this one is the wrong seller but you get the idea
yeah basically
they also have fans
Ahhhh , they can’t help themselves with this damn rgb now adays I could barely find a fan without it
yup
but fortunately basically any modern rgb device is aRGB so you can configure it to your dreams
I’m all good with fans have 1 extra I ordered by accident
yeah i assumed you were fine with fans. just fancied sharing them 🫣
But damn I really wanted a Asus I can’t believe how much more expensive they are
Thanks tho g
ill take a look for some asus aios in a few minutes
Ahhhh ur the man
but personally id just go with the thermalright ones
theyre cheaper and perform the same
I know I know it would’ve just matched the mobo better ima freak mb
i will look for you though. ill @ you when ive done so
top of the day folks. almost done with my newest build. Lian Li dynamic evo XL case with the new EDGE 1300W PSU, ASrock Taichi CARRARA MB, AMD 7950X3D CPU, XFX RX 7900 XTX GPU, Kingston FURY 64GB 6600 DDR5 RAM, 3x Samsung 990 pro 4TB, 1x crucial T705 2TB, corsair cooling loop with 3x480 rads with 3xLX RGB 140mm fans, HYDRO X SERIES XD5 PUMP / RESERVOIR COMBO, iCUE XC7 RGB ELITE LCD CPU Water Block, all the fans and cooling with the ICUE Link system, ohh and 6x 4TB samsung 2.5" SSD. for data storage. waiting on a few cooling fittingsbut just about done....
@heady arrowthis is about the only worthwhile 240mm aio by ASUS
insane price considering i can get a top performing aio for cheaper
i HAVE to know why you chose half of these parts
yeah and i would like to know the reasoning behind those specific parts
and what are you using the pc for
umm what do ya mean? srry im autistic. explain why it maters.
are you using it for gaming
gaming and astrophotography
data cranching ..
crunching
and i want to guarantee it stays cool..
yep.. i misered all my life... now im retired and gonna spend my money. i have no bills besides utilities.
personally i would have spent my money on things that are actually good for the price but its whatevs
and an income of $3600/mth so..
can only eat out so often and i dont vaca in the hot spots
i'm sure he'd be more informative if you didn't come off so derogatory lmfaooo chilll bruh be cool
yeah but why not.. be nice?
hes jealous is all
i was joking, ur being anal af
EK has had its issues lately too, thats why i didnt go them
dang i just joined this discord 3 minutes ago, and i can tell exactly what's going on right now
somebody had a bad day and is taking it out on me and you zepplin, so i'm out
pce
every manufacture has pro's and con's i weighed them for what i wanted.
cheaper is relative btw, as in like he's not broke so it doesn't matter 😉
in the end if it doesnt perform the way i want ill redo it. im retired i have nothing else to do..
here's my baby girl tho, before i leave
its not relative when you can get objectively better performing parts that cost the same or less
it is relative when cost doesn't matter, that's what relative means
id be pretty pissed if i spent all that money on 4 sticks of ddr5
and a corsair LCD aio
i did the research, they all came out really close so i got what i wanted to trt..
no hate to your build i imagine it still performs great
its not an aio
that's not an AIO, his CPU is in the loop
yo is the video I uploaded not working for yall? i click play and it's the same frame, discord bust it?
didnt see a vid..
one of the key points for the Corsair was the Icue Link. gets rid of sooo many cords..
yeah but then you open yourself up to icue
daisy chain and hubs exist
that is true!!
let me know if that works, discord is being hella weird
i can see video
does it work tho? it's 1 frame for me the whole time
i built it in 2022 so it's a 3080ti
sexy
i have a 4090 and a waterblock sitting idle, just need to replace it already
fair enough
all hard tubing, bent by me and my boy
personally need an EVA 4090
was our first build, lots of hilarious memories trying to bend hard tube for the first time lmfao
almost did buy one but figured id go with the white 4080S
i wish i chose a different model though
zotac stores all rgb to flash memory so its awful customisation

these are the specs if interested, somewhat dated now but really glad i didnt get 13/14 gen i9
i am going to redo this once the 9950X3D's and the new MB's come out anyways...
why
this was a trial rig, ive always gone Asus,Nvidea and such, tring AMD for once
i'm not a fan of corsair stuff outside of AIOs, but i will say they are #1 in the industry for customer service & customer support, and i do envy that
so if you ever have any problems you will be 200% taken care of
the customer service is great
ive only heard great things
outside of that they are pretty rubbish
yeah you can't be great at everything and they're trying to, it is what it is tho
they also made icue so i think that alone is enough reason to hate them 😹
yeah they have quickly replaced a few parts already or took my returns of what i didnt want. their universal GPU cooler is a joke..
yeah icue is a ram hog, thats why corsair aint in my builds anymore
i'm using aquasuite's controller the aquero and their FAN hub also
nice
anyways, i may be happy with what i have, if not i'll research more and change what needs changing. in the end that 1% is soo negligable you would never notice it w/o the SW telling you. and its also in the silicon raffle if ya get good/bad. ambient temps play alot and over variables end up changing all the performance numbers.
over=other
erm
consider asking here if you plan on changing anything
ill suggest you something nice 😉
i gave up on Intel and Nvidea products. gotta jump through hoops to get in contact with an actual person..
and i just retired from Intel lol
well 2 yrs ago
but spec/number/avg reviews all my stuff came out close to the others i was looking at
i should probably apologise btw. your build is awesome, as i previously stated.
just get very silly over things and well, i can immediately tell it could be cheaper and better, but this is no issue.
wasnt taken personal.
i am a huge tech nerd, if you ever need advice just message here
consumer reviews?
oh yeah, and @frozen iris too. apologies
ill keep that in mind, but in the end everything works untill it doesnt. im not tring to squeeze every once out of stuff.
nope not at all
all good in the hood
you mentioned its for gaming.. have you tweaked the 7950x3d?
it infact performs worse than a 7800x3d
unless you disable half of its CCD and mess with its VID
youtube reviews, toms hardware, i dont rely on consumer reports cause i dont wanna pay for it for a one time use of the site...heh
also if it's for gaming, your motherboard will downclock your ram if you have 4 slots because MBs are not quad channel yet, so if you have 4 ddr5 sticks you'll get down clocked to 2933mhz I believe, if you use A1 and B1 you can use the full clock potential
i'm running ddr5 6600mhz, but when i tried to add 2 more, it downclocked me
4800mhz is ddr5 jedec
huh
also a2 b2 is usually the standard
2933 was ddr4 maybe
well, whatever the downlock mhz is, you won't be able to get full clock speed with 4 slots being used because of the dual channel limitations
i havnt finished yet to start it, so no tweeking of anything yet..
nope
besides the MB and CPU are just till they iron out the 9950's and get a X3d out.
too lazy to re-type lol
my Intel rig is here doing all sorts of weird crap waiting to get dismantled and sent in for RMA...
i wouldnt blind buy a 9950x3d
using 4 slots is too hard on the cpu because of all **** you dont really need to care about if youre just a regular consumer
There you go ^
thanks
yw
i knew why it censored. got too lazy to retype.
its too complicated keeping track of the servers that allow or dont allow it!
i wont go in blind, all i can do is research and go with the info i can collect...
id also wait like
3 months
for a price drop
might be 6 i cant remember
amd usually has a price drop after 3/6 months
yeah, no X3d till prolly xmas and mb's are a few months away too
no need for a new motherboard
then wait till they iron out the kinks(BIOS) lol
you should see how the 7500f holds up with bios support
its hit and miss
well anyways i did kinda jump into this build faster than i have in the past( main rig needs repair) and dont have a backup.
something new for me. always wanted one. and this is fun to tinker with..
AIO's are fine and dandy but i live in AZ and dont keep my house all that cold due to rediculas cooling costs even with solar.
not as if AIOs are massively better at cooling
so the ones ive implemented havent worked out the best. so i went as large of a loop i could..
if at all better
your loop looks sick though
dying sick? get the plunger out..
kk the rest of my missing fittings just got here. finish this and get it pressurized. cleaned out of any stray debris i might have missed and to an UP state..
😼
oh yeah
ordered this beast
random knock off strimer
tell me why id pay £60 when i can go on aliexpress and get the same thing for a tenner lmfao
just waiting till i pull the trigger on a 7500f + 7900 gre now
ah yeah. if anyone cares, theyre also killing production on the amd 66XX line of gpus
this is kinda why i went with corsair.. no major rats nest to deal with...
the 3 wires on the door are my lighting and fan control
looks scuffed
personally i wouldve just gotten a fan hub and daisy chained my cables
(which is what i did)
yeah but then theres more to pack into the cubby
i need to make some shorter PSU cables too, minimize the mess.
cablemod says hi
no. making my own..
Best selection of PC cable sleeving supplies at the lowest price. All of our PC Cable Sleeving materials have been thoroughly tested to provide the best possible quality and satisfaction. The best custom PC cables are also found here.
been a mechanic all my life. ive rewired complete Mack trucks from scratch.. a PC case is easy...
its noooot a pc case
its all in a case soo run with it heh
anyways i got all the connectors, wire, terminals, the works for less than cablemod asks for a set. and i have alot of surplus for more rewirings
why not https://www.dreambigbyray.com/ ?
umm, first ive heard of them...
in the end i like doing things with my own hands. that way i know its right..
fair
ill end up testing all my parts sooner or later anyways. ohh after i blew my back out i went back to school for bachlors electronic enineering..
I mine as well get the 90 dollar one tbh then
Me?
yes
Ye one sec
so i have a full set of mechanic (handsaws-excavators)tools and electronics lab in my house.
awesome
ASUS ROG Strix LC II 240 is the perfect solution for RGB enthusiasts and delivers high-performance CPU liquid cooling with clean aesthetics. Featuring a closed-loop design and radiator fans, unleashes the full potential of your unlocked Intel or AMD CPU, while further accentuating your build with...
i am the apidimy of do-it yerselfer. maybe some bad decisions on stuff but i can FIX it.
just dont mess with stuff under warrenty..
yeah, its an alright aio. expensive but im sure youre aware
also my choices for stuff was im from exclusively been ASUS,Nvidea, Intel for the last 2 decades..
so this not any of those manufactures, im at a loss and will do the best i can..
my issues arnt money or performance but relyabilty..
I know really am just paying for the brand name and for the sake of matching atleast the most noticeable components
those have been very reliable for me the last years, now they are all failing in big ways.. so time to brach out.
butr yes most of the time reliable costs...
id rather spend more now and KNOW i wont have to mess with it untill its time to upgrade.....
Asus AIO?
yeah go for it if youd like then
not the AIO, the produts lines in general. most of what they make is gr8 but i have issues with their MB's coming in with CPU pins bent lately..
before i went with the ASRock i had recieved a messed up MB and i dint want to wait for me to return it, them to recieve it and look at it then send me another one..
but that was the first time ive ever had to replace anything before i decided to get it upgraded. i love their monitors and MB's all around. the AIO i have has been perfect.
ive had this for 2 years sofar w/o issues... https://rog.asus.com/us/cooling/cpu-liquid-coolers/rog-ryujin/rog-ryujin-iii-360-argb-white-edition/
awfully overpriced aio
NZXT 360mm AIO CPU Liquid Cooler with Customizable LCD Display, High-Performance Pump, 3 Fans - Black
180$
everything is over priced. i just can ignor the price and go with what i like or works better or on some of the stuff i got with my new rig just bad choice lol
ok NZXT had a large batch of bad fluid AIO's that got recalled.. why i didnt go with them...
list stuff and ill give why i didnt get it heh
the ASrock tiachi Carrara was list as having some of the best specs at a low cost than the other top dags
i was gonna go with the "GODLIKE" butr even for me that would be a waste of meny heh
mony
med time. l8r. ill shout out in here before i do my next build or looking for replacement parts.
no
thnx for the info though...
not true
thermalright exists
ackk real quick. i need a pinout of the new Lian LI EDFGE PSU's. anyone know where i can find one? if not ill take it apart and figure it out myself..
EDGE PSU's. 1300w one to be precice
they are brand new , i cant find asnything yet..
the EDGE?
cannot find one for the edge 1300
they look like an L heh
very interesting internals on it though
german caps!! i do hope they surpass the jap ones
yup
i did look up the componant specs. they sound gr8
epic
worst case i can just copy the existing cables just make shorter ones...
that works
ohh it just hit me(autistic) ive been a stuck to certain manufatures for a long time(A@#S) for lighting lol..
so the Corsair isnt that much of a problem for me
i can figure out an adaptor wire if i really want too..
just use OpenRGB
i can even build my own strips if needed. i have a full electronics lab here.
they only use the needed 2 wire config, others are 3 pin. shouldnt be hard to find the wiring for those.
standard 5v 3 pin argb 🥰
yes, but ARGB only needs 2 wires to control them
If I have a set of two sticks of ram can I get another set that’s a different brand
yes but no
depends on the 3pin rgb diode on how its connected to the others..
hang on let me show ya something. need to take a pic of it running.. back in a few mins
if you tried mixing ram you may get lucky and have it work. you will be extremely limited and you will very likely experience issues
majority of the time itll just throw you a dram error
a project from back in my electronic associates degree..
nice infinity mirror
gotta finish the outer frame. only been 18 years lol
"only"
if i can do that i can figure out a few wires for a chained strip
before implemenmting
didnt wanna seem pushy and suggest it
all good brothyer..
sent you a friend request
got it
very interested in your end result
ill send ya pics/info once i get it figured out..
i assume youre smart enough to just not unalive yourself. so very happy to wait for these cables
lol, the power consumtion of a test set up will be the 5 volts at maybe .25 watts
easy to control with a programable power supply( benchtop)
awesome
youre fully prepared great to see
saw some guy ages ago in another place who wanted to brutalise his psu and cables for... some reason?
had no existing knowledge and hadnt any plan on how to stay safe
I wish I had one of those PCs you guys have, they are awesome as heck
hey looky what i found... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JLSFPRM/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A2US7GLDHPFAYV&th=1. these should do nicely for what i have planned..
@hardy star yeah but sometimes they just are too over the top and just turn into money pits. like a car(motorcycles) yer always adding mods too. wait i DO that. ugg
been an hour @ 7PSI so should be good for no leaks. now to let the sys conditioner do its work for a dayish..
can confirm i have both a bike and expensive pc
its a lot of money
Don't spam. Obviously
Guys I have a question if you don't mind me asking since I have barely any experience with building PCs
If I decide to custom build a Gaming PC + setup, what are your personal recommendations?
That's a crazy wide question
But figure out what your needs are and what your budget is
whats yer budget?
@hardy star whats yer budget and what CPU manufacture do you prefer?(RN INTEL is having lotsa issues TBH)
RGB, non-RGB, AIO(all in one) CPU cooler, and such..
then depending on the Case you can have custom monitoring screens instead of on unit ones.....
what games do you play? what games do you want to play?
lol and the list continues.
It's kinda like asking "which car should I get?" 😅
right!!
i saw a HDR monitor that fits the front on the o11 DEXL front panel perfectly. might get that at some point..
country?
budget in your currency?
use case?
intended resolution?
do you own anything already?
any aesthetic preferences?
any interest in overclocking?
wifi?
i wouldnt ask on preferences
just my need to get parameters autism. stuff i need or my brainage goes haywire and goes everywhere. i get to giving suggestions they will be all over the place..
fair enough
Well I play Roblox because I can't access high end games at the moment, such as Valorant, CS2, Call of Duty, and Battlefield
I just need like an estimate and personal reccomendation. The country I live in is Canada, and it's Canadian Dollar, and the only thing I have is an ASUS laptop which can't download much tbh
ty bro
hi, graphic card gigabyte geforce rtx 4060 ti gaming oc 16g is is good?
I will send my laptop specs and I want to hear your opinions on what should I upgrade
i need a gaming pc and i need an amazing performance
well it depends
upgrade as in, build a pc?
country and budget
you dont wanna know my country, trust me
that is the most counter-productive answer i have ever seen
Processor Intel(R) Celeron(R) N4020 CPU @ 1.10GHz 1.10 GHz
Installed RAM 4.00 GB (3.83 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Edition Windows 11 Home
Version 22H2
It's a ASUS laptop, a Notebook, and idk what graphics card it uses
i specifically asked for your country, of course i want to know it
and budget is 1,600$
israel
n4020 is integrated graphics iirc
whats your budget in your currency
Ok ty bro, but what do you recommend I upgrade on this? The currency I use is Canadian Dollar.
6000 shekels
No offense but isn't that a lot?
its very difficult to upgrade a laptop, you do know that?
as in youre looking at storage and ram upgrades and thats about it
all good
what sites do you use in israel
Well it's the only thing I have, and besides, my maternal uncle has expertise with this stuff so I can ask for his assistance
you may be able to frankenstein the laptop but yeah theyre very limited
idk😅
what site were you looking at the 4060 ti on
oh, google
Lol ok ty for your advice and opinion brother
I will send a pic here when I get it upgraded
Anyone got any prebuilt pcs that’ll run rust for about £800-£950?
https://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/system/ultra-r55-elite-gaming-pc youre getting seriously ripped off though
no UK prebuilts are good in the £700-1000 range
Ye
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6750 XT, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
£950.21
suggest some best gaming laptop under $2000
holy
why a laptop
@spiral yew are you in the US? what games? why a laptop?
you could consider a SFF desktop if you wanted something small
or mATX in the A3 case
oh dear god, i couldn't imagine win11 on 4 gigs of ram
I’ve had something similar with Win10 on my first PC that I was given. Turned out it had laptop components inside it. Boy I’m so glad I moved past that.
laptop components on a desktop?
Yeah, I know. Imagine my face when I discovered it. It was a old(?) desktop build gaming pc (if you could call it that) my dad had gotten me.
My friend (who has way more experiences with computer builds) literally said: "veah this is a build, but it clearly was someone's first build. Look at this wiring..."
And later he remarked:
"No wonder it performed like that. The memory and ram are from a laptop! Half of the components can't even keep up with the graphics card (which was ok but aged)"
Luckily, we discovered it right as we were building my new pc, which I spared no expense on, it was also the moment I fell in love with Steelseries!
Well, I mean it more in a comparison: imagine you got a super high end computer but you’re using a CRT TV. Won’t improve much quality.
But in my defence that was years ago and I’ve long moved on (it helps when you got a job, lol)
fair enough
I actually wanna get a decent CRT to watch older animes on
As someone who grew up with a CRT I can see the appeal.
yeah same
not really
runs 300 frames on siege n like 200 on rust
atleast the last time i played rust
like 2 or 3 years ago
well, not you. you're not the one buying
but UK prebuilts at the price point hes asking for are generally.. rubbish
yeah i think they allow links
$829 american
646 pound google says
interesting
considering its a low cost, i didnt expect much. this is, if anything, worse than what i expected.
haha
i mean no offense to you, if you own it. @latent plank
i have better
however it is pretty poorly made
the specs?
a 13400f is susceptible to degradation which can simply break your CPU.
3050 is easily one of the worst gpus ever released in P/P
there is no actual specification on the SSD or PSU used
and 16GB of DDR5 is simply rubbish
ur just on a high horse
as i said, it isnt specific.
no
i am not
16GB of DDR5 is objectively awful. its much slower than 2x16
even bad 2x16 is better than 2x8 or 1x16
as long as you arent running a high performance video game and 40 tabs of google chrome it does fine for anything you need
of course, it will run
i never denied that
but it is a very bad spec list, at least a partial one. half of it isnt mentioned
the PSU is what i am most concerned about
they aren't model specific
im not sure if you'll know this, but some PSUs have certain tendencies to just, explode.
like, literally explode.
i am not by any means a professional, but i know my stuff.
2-Year Warranty Included
🤷♂️
right?
tbf there aint a warranty on a house
Any idea if this will be able to run rust and similar games
😂
exactly.
you may have insurance on your things
but ive had my nzxt for 3 years and havent had an issue
but personally, i dont want an explosive in my house.
no no! i think we've had a misunderstanding
im not by any means hating on NZXT
with the psu in my nzxt is what im sayin
it depends on the PSU used. obviously any PSU could explode if it really wanted to do so, but some are more expected to do so
oh yeah i forgot 'm not in the USA, houses here are made of non-flammable material
NZXT has their own lineup of PSUs, the C series. the C750 and C850 are probably one of the best available 850 and 750w supplies on the market.
Which one?
hey, neither am i.
i can tell you're joking but its silly
power supply units are a very important part and should be very carefully considered
its not listed on nzxt anymore, but i have a 3060, wit a ryzen 5 3600
i was not joking actualy. i didn't even think about the house being at risc
it is a very poor choice of board, dont expect an upgrade path.
on player one you can switch the cpu to a ryzen 5 7500f which is closer to mine
thats alright then. it is a very real issue.
Decent frames?
depends. what are you expecting at what resolution and settings?
Medium
arent the insides decently flammable tho
you must have carpet or somethin right
1080p? itll run acceptable frame rates. should be around the 100 marker if im not mistaken.
are you open to buying and building your own PC?
I have no knowledge on building but it’s not exactly hard is it?
no, there are plenty of guides i can link you to if needs to be.
20 years ago, hard
it is almost like legos
youd be surprised with what i see
if you follow the manuals, it is hard though.
go off the rails and yeah, youll probably mess up
we dont use those here (Brazil), at least its not common
Look dms if u can
i can look. i would prefer to keep it here if thats fine with you though, i get a lot of DMs
@cedar jungle of course i can. i spend a lot of my time giving out advice about PCs.
i do need to ask a few questions beforehand
Perfect if you don’t mind send the links to DMs so it’s all saved?
of course.
what country are you in? what's your budget in your currency? any interest in overclocking? any aesthetic preferences?
UK £1000 maybe some RGB but not a lot not too bothered about overclocking
awesome
it'll run rust in medium to even high settings, since arcA750 works like rtx3060, 16gb at 3200mhz its good, but if you are a multitasker it is good to have at least 32gb
what about overclocking?
I like Brazil, the Rainbow Six fans go wild there 🤩
Not too sure tbh
ill assume no then
Sure lol
give me a moment to take a look
