Hey I have a problem with a pc I’ve just built. So I click the button to turn the pc on, ram, case fans and gpu starts flashing its rgb lights. CPU cooler and case fans are working but nothing is happening. I mean for the 20-30 seconds monitors don’t show anything and it looks like pc is waiting for gpu fans to start working. Until gpu fans don’t start working then pc will not turn on fully. Anyone knows why is that?

I'm wanting to build a PC. I do not have a whole lot of money to work with. I'm trying to keep it below R15k(like $750 I think). I have not built a PC before, my only experience is with my Asus tuf gaming laptop. Gpus wise Ive been told the RX5700XT gpu is good price to performance? Apparently the Ryzen 5 5700 is also a decent cpu. I'm not sure what I should do ssd wise and ram wise. I wanna run games at high graphics if possible, cause my laptop can run both helldivers and baldurs gate at potato quality(as is it forgets the textures in some areas) but still gets hot. Any got any recommendations?

Apparently the msi mag A650bn is a good power supply.

Ramsticks of an laptop does not fit in an desktop motherboard. since laptop rams are SODIMM and desktop rams are called DIMM laptops rams has less contact points

the desktop rams

are classified in different catagories

DDR2 DDR3 DDR4 etc etc

The specifications of the motherboard determines what ddr ram your motherboard supports

you can fit an ddr4 in an motherboard that support ddr3

but i wont be optimal

cause the motherboard only supports what an ddr3 can handle

so most optimal is the check which motherboard you are going to get

and which version of ram it supports

That's actually correct if u have that plugged in like berry circled then its plugged in correctly and the other wires arent supposed to be plugged in

and the fans wont spin until the GPU gets to a certain temp which is normal

You can change that setting in the GPU software if u want the fans spinning at all times

This is the problem with building PC's, they are able to be highly customized to suit what a person wants or needs. This would be a very capable system and would do great on nearly everything gaming wise. If you were going to use it to browse the internet and play Solitaire, then it might be too much. If you wanted to do constant video edit or AI systems, it would be quite poor. It really depends on what you are doing, if 90%+ gaming or basic use, then it will be fine. If you wanted to spend more money then get more storage or ram

I've posted before under battlestations but I have since made some adjustments to the setup. Previously had a 4060ti then 4070 super ti now 4080 super and will probably get a 4090 next

Ryzen 9 7950X3D isnt better than R7 7800X3D

but that probably wont happen again

R9 beats R7 only here and there by like 2-4 fps average
