#๐ป-building-a-pc
1 messages ยท Page 6 of 1
On the paper, yes
but it depends, my friend has a PC with no problem
another spent a day building ut
With my current pc I did exactly that, even though I keep an eye on technology an computers in general, I've never built a pc before
I did watch many hours of youtube videos on tips and tricks on how to deal with cables, coolers and potential issues

Anyone know what I should get if I'm building a pc for between 1.5 and 2k
4070ti I think
Anything else you'd recommend
Cheers
I built my pc 3 month ago
learn every thing from google. so maybe can't get all of them right
Can I add you incase I need anything again?
yeah of course
One sec, i did a thing recently
I need to pull it
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower
This is slightly under 1.5k
You can improve the GPU significantly, but it will drive up cost a lot
oh the AMD card
Yeah
It's a good system
If you want to change the GPU, let me see around
Rest is like, top notch already
but I dont like its software
Actually, haza, where you from?
the US or?
AMD overdrive or something?
I forgot the name actually
Imo it's more accessible for OC etc
But I get it, you don't have to use it anyway
And the price/performance is amazing
I mean the update thing
Oh?
like my 7900xtx when I use the latest update my game just crush every time
uk
every game
Ah, let me see
When does it crash?
apex satisfatory
when ever I enter the game
That doesn't tell me much
like enter a match then it crush
thanks for the help by the way guys. just wanna get it right as best i can the first time
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4070, Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower
this is the other option
The GPU is massively beefed up
It is ~1.7k GBP
so I remove it and download the one release on Feb
amd cards always need debug
dude this is mint. i don't think i know people that are so helpful haha
anyone here got the apex pro mini
this card is strange only get 8 vram
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4070, Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower
here
I changed the PSU
It's somewhat cheaper, you don't have to use it
But it's there

Doesn't the GPU have a 12pin?
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
It has 12GB....?
@cerulean hearth 1.5~2k include monitor mouse keyboard or not?
oh my bad
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4070, Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower
This should have a 12 pin cable
Like a dedicated one
Good question, there is like 500 pounds left in the budget
I did not select an OS

You can do that yourself
Too lazy
This is like "barebones" stuff
I mean the 4060ti have a 16vram coming out
but 4070 have 12
The 4060 is fricked
Don't get it
Neither the ti
Bus is too small
The 4070, so far, is the only Nvidia card I can really recommend on a good consciousness
As in, the 4080 and 90 are flatout too expensive
The 4070ti sorta is too, but besides that the whole thing where it was the 4080 "12GB" is also a thing
And the 4060 line, including ti, just suffers from bandwidth and less than 10% generational uplift
4060ti
- my condolences (read thing I sent before what you sent)
- It is with the dongle
nope just pc
Otherwise, i can find an SF one that has it
But it depends if you want to use the split thing or not
my dual monitors shoot HD so we chill
What's the split things ?
This is one of the best builds I can recommend for that then, it's sub 2k, and it's all amazing tech
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4070, Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower
oh thats true
yeah I was wondering will 16vram be good on 4060ti
The second thing bottom right
On the 4060ti it's just an 8 to 12 pin
So instead of 4 it's 1
Ofc you can also use a 12 pin itself from a PSU
But I need to know your case first and foremost
Nope, if the bus is small, it will get oversaturated and while it might have performance uplift
it won't be much and it will be, well, oversaturated
Mine is 1 time PCIe 8pin
....?
I know, I said that
I need to know what type of PSU you're buying
Is it an SFX or an ATX
Okay, ATX
lemme see
Country?
ATX/EPS
Here
This has a native 12+4 pin
Should word
@unique totemBtw, I forgot to say, check with the brand of your GPU for a defect
If you have that issue
mine is asus tuf
what?
as in, why gl or what's RMA?
you mean that's the hardware issue?
yes and no
It might be related to the update Asus released
Maybe RMA isn't the right word actually
I download the amd driver from amd itself
Then it still can be Asus related
Have you found other people talking about this issue?
not really
yes
Then it's Windows
is it possible to not get a hefty bottleneck using 7900xtx and a 11700k? 1440p (i got a good deal on a 7900xtx)
bottlenecks are hard to avoid, the reccomended card for an 11700k is like a 3090
im running a 1050 ti and an 11700k lmao
it really depends on what kind of applications you're using
but it's not that big of a deal if you already have the parts
^^
Just saying "this card is recommended for this CPU" is not really covering it
Most games run heavier on the GPU and still scale with heavier things
And then you've other games heavier on CPU etc
There are bottlenecks you can avoid that seem somewhat obvious, like a 10400 with a 7900XTX, that doesn't make much sense
But the 11700 with a 7900XTX should be fine, you won't get everything out of your GPU, but that's impossible anyway unless you've a task/game that can fully use your GPU, which is rare
^ this. Some games are just CPU heavy and won't really stress your GPU, so it's a moot question without knowing what you will use it for. It's fine, don't worry about it, especially if you got a good deal on the GPU ๐
Already got 3080ti
gaming mostly apex legends at the moment
guess i could upgrade cpu within same socket as i recently got this pc.
12900k should be of the same socket i believe
Ye nvm actually the card just got more expensive
Gonna wait till a new card hits the auction
sorry had a teams call. so yeah, for now I think just wait and see what the new gen brings, we are probably seeing a 13th gen refresh in the autumn, some new GPUs probably as well
since you have 3080ti and 11700k, I think you are good for now ๐
Yeah, but this site has sick prices all brand new un used๐คฃ
Its an auction site for companys that gone bankrupt
lemme guess, US only? ๐
It's not, 12th gen is 1700
I don't really think you need an upgrade
Apex is actually quite CPU heavy, not so much GPU
at least not to the same degree
i mean i9 11900k my bad
im gonna wait next year and go amd instead tbh
Yes, that's fine!
Oh, yeah, fait
Fair
I honestly somewhat recommend them over Intel rn
For a multitude of reasons, tbh
Intel is doing stupid on it's CPU's
The GPU's so far are pretty much the thing I mostly like about em
I agree with you, but tbh for general purpose AMD is not really rocking it right now, things will likely get better with better firmware/software, but the new processors are still mostly worse than 13900k, and about the same price, perhaps beating it at gaming, or possibly some very specific calculations/programs, that are actually making use of those threads
I truly am rooting for AMD though, was seriously contemplating going with the X3D line, GPU sadly is far far away from Nvidia
2700 what, Australian dollars?
also yeah, 4090 is about 40% better at most things if not playing in 1080 exclusively ๐
I am interested, if you are willing to talk about it
What do you mean?
For CPU's, they're nearly 1:1 in stock performance
While being more efficient too
Hell, the 13900k is so sh*t it bottlenecks itself because how much heat it generates
That's a massive design failure
And even then, it barely is better in most things compared to the 7950X, with the only thing it does more than marginally better is workloads where cores, not threads, are more important
The thing holding AMD back this generation is pretty much the price of their boards
Oh, one good thing about Intel, they have their 100 lineup which I really wish AMD had an equivilant for
AIO that handles it is 100-130 eur, so not really a problem tbh, stock coolers are what, 50-70 eur on air
I have 13900k running on 40-50 degrees with a 130 EUR AIO ๐
Linus needed an industrial watercooler to clear the bottleneck
This is after they made a custom loop for it
That was a regular workload
and I could shave off some degrees with better thermal paste applying and moving the vents
And it's still just a mess with how Intel is appreaching generations so far
the problem is, some motherboards supply too much power and it doesnt stop using it, if I didnt lock it in bios it went to 370W and then yeah, I couldn't cool it
if you leave it in bios at adaptive setting then it just eats as much as it wants in a stress test, I got capped at 100 degrees when the AIO was at capacity
So, you do realise the reason it cools that well
Is because you lock, the one thing the k SKU is meant for
It's not meant to be locked like that
Even k SKUs have a cap on power draw, thermals, clocks etc
No
It is a processor one
The processor, consistently, can take over 300W on any motherboard, given it's a Z series
Which
mind you
Is on direction of Intel
Intel gives the specs of how these chips should run
The actual bios is written by the boadmakers, but they use guidelines of how to run these chips
Otherwise it's weird it just now was a whole thing that AMD had to make it clearer to board partners of limitations on CPU's
These CPU's can consistently, for a longer than 10ms duration, take more than 300W
And even if it was a board thing, it's weird they allow 50W more
On basically every board
they can probably take 400W as well, it's called overclocking
but with liquid nitrogen then
Okay, can we go back
To where you locked your board down
On a K series?
Even tho Intel has specifications to where these can run without an actual OC put on it?
Unlocked does not equal OC
And these chips can do these things unlocked, but not OC'd
what is this, then, if not intel spec for max wattage?
besides being a lie since whenever these are promoted, rarely being true, AMD is a bigger contributor in this
Just, not true, even if all motherboard vendors decided to just allow these chips to take over 250W for extended amounts of time, I genuinely doubt Intel wouldn't say something about it
Even tho they have been criticised for this massive power consumption since 12th gen
You bought a k series chip and you locked it down, besides going against the point of the K on the chip, you're also saying that Intel actually doesn't have any control over the board partners making boards for them
50W
Is a lot
That is going behind "board partners changed things"
Strawman argument and ignoring the question, ok ๐ take care!
hello im thinking of getting this pc case but im not sure what gpu or motherboard can fit in it can anyone help me out please?
what GPU and board
Hi, I'm considering buying this Alienware Laptop. I know, it's a laptop โ Anyway, I wanted to know if the price was right for the specs? Currently I'm having to use a work laptop with a horrendous GPU, so this would be quite the upgrade.
@fast oak looks about right to me
Alright,thanks.
I think my speakers have just given out on this laptop. It's been repaired once. I've been through about 4 of this model of Dell. Same issue almost every time.
my pc is a little more expensive w lower specs lol
Oh lmao
well cos it's a pc there's fans and stuff
Yeah, yeah.
do u need speakers
i mean how do speakers get broken
ikr!! i literally prick my phone speakers to clean it off
I treat this laptop with so much care, I don't get it
It got me so scared that I'd broken my speakers lmao.
@pulsar fossil hey uh, this is getting a tad repetitive, sorry for the ping, I hope you're doing well, but people are happening with this stuff
Thanks and no worries about the ping :)
I'm doing well thanks, I hope you are as well
I am doing okay too, life is carrying on, and as such so am I
Sorry, missed your message. But great to hear that you are doing okay :)
Dw about it, you're busy!
Hi there,
I would like to ask about the most comfortable headset for gaming, I have sony M4 but my ears are getting hot
maybe Razer Blackshark v2?
Whats better
Lian Li O11 Dynamic
Or NZXT H9Elite?
For a 4080
Full white build?
maybe NZXT H9Elite
The H9 has not a lot of space iirc
Epecially if you have the accomedate for the plug etc
Plus I prefer the North or Meshify more
I'd say go with a big enough sized 011
Thing the O11 Dynamic Evo should be good
Sad
can someone help explain to me if NVMe, PCIe, and .m2 SSDs have any key differences? they all look like they can be plugged into the same exact port in the same exact way which confuses me
is that real ?
m.2 is a form standard, you can have different lengths and keys within m.2
nvme and sata are protocols for transferring data, you can have sata m.2 ssds and nvme m.2 ssds
oh ok thanks
and then there are some pcie ssds but they go into the pcie slot, not the m.2
they're also more expensive and not necessary for most people
but they can utilize pcie lanes more easily
I just got a new PC from a relative and it seems like most of the m.2 slots are covered by the GPU so I was thinking of an external ssd since the wires are set up for it already
you can take out the gpu and put in the ssds
I don't know what they're called the larger ones that don't connect to the mobo
yeah I just don't wanna break something
Hello, I built a pc with these components.
Motherboard: ROG STRIX Z790-H GAMING WIFI
Processor: Intel core i5 12900kf
Ram: x2 32gb Kingston FURY Beast RGB DDR5 RAM
SSD: Samsung SSD 980 1TB NVMe M.2 MZ-V8V1T0BW SSD Drive
Power Supply: Corsair Power Supply 550W 80Plus Bronze CV550
Cabinet: Antec DF700 Flux
Graphics card: RTX 3070ti
Do you recommend another m.2?
is your current ssd storage enough for your needs?
yes how sad
Most iirc are just NVMe ones but with the data sent over a full slot
They are more expensive but so far, not that much?
I thinkl the reason they are is more because you have, generally 4 M.2 slots you've to put on the board
I suggest a larger PSU, 550W is fairly little for a 3070ti
Further, do you need an Nvidia card for a specific reason?
And lastly, what's the speed of the DDR?
also it's an i9-12900k, i5 is a lot lower
you do not need i9 12900k with a 3070 ti i believe its an i5 but you just put 12900 instead of 12600.
psu is too low if the pc uses 500-550 watts then the psu lifespan will shorten and i recommend getting a gold psu. Dont cheap out on the psu it can destroy your whole system.
i have pc the core is i7 6700k and gtx 980ti what do i change
You can upgrade to a 7th gen Intel CPU, but I suggest upgrading the GPU
I would upgrade to the 4090
4090 is expensive
used 3080 is perfect rn
either the new 4060 or 3060ti would prob suffice to run anyhting new at 1080p with ur slightly old i7
Figure out the size of your motherboard
Look up the case and what motherboard sizes it supports
Most will use a standard naming scheme
So if a case claims to support atx size boards then any atx board should fit
Hey what specs can run games like doom eternals, ready or not, call of duty, and car games at 2k res high settings at min 120 fps? (at a normal price not over 1500$ (no used things cuz i cant find used tech in my country at a sane price)
cuz now i got a gaming laptop thats 4 years old and speards heat at 85+ degrees Celsius and runs warzone at graphic where i can count the pixels with one hand at 40 fps
What's the pricing tho?
For which country?
Because you cannot convert the currency 1:1, as in a lot of countries parts are more expensive
If you mean budget so between 1250-1500, and country Israel
Israeli New Shekel?
Like the budget in that?
Budget in dollars
Israeli new shekel is the currency in my country
I know, hence I ask
Because from what I know from helping Israeli friends, the price is more expensive than a 1:1
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower
This is about 1.5k USD
Give or take
You can scale the SSD to a 1TB one if you want to save money, and the cooler too
Thank you๐
is this pc alright https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rDVn3y
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5700G, Radeon RX 7900 XT, Corsair Obsidian Series 1000D ATX Full Tower
Thanks for the help I gotta check the Nvidia equivalent for it to really understand ๐
nvidia on top
Uh, about a 3070? Maybe a 3060ti
I forgot the exact
But rn it's around that
God, that's awfully balanced
alr
can you send the link
Also, why 2 144Hz monitors and one giant 4k60?
If the 1440p ones are secondaries, you can go power spec
yes 2 for vertical
ik
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4070, Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower
You can change the GPU to something higher end, 4080 or 4090, idrc
yea
If you go with Radeon, you might have to upgrade PSU
i prefer radeon
And I recommend that, if you don't go full highest spec, to go with the 7900xtx
The xt has some issues
But just see
thanks
If you've questions
Just ping me
thanks for the help, i already got ram and ssd so thats covered and ill look into the amd pc and the nvidia pc thanks again for the help
what are some good moniter stands for giant moniters
mini tv sized
maybe a tiny bit smaller but like 40-50 inch
Im a little new with building a new pc, could someone tell me if im missing anything?
If you are planning on gaming, that cpu is a little over kill for that gpu, If you are going to stick with that cpu, get an X570 motherboard instead. If your monitor is DVI only then it is probably a little older, having a decent rig like that will not be the best experience on a low end screen, save some money on the build and invest in a good monitor ๐
Otherwise you have every component you need to build a pc in that picture
This X570 motherboard?
Asus's TUF line is not a bad choice ๐ I would avoid ASRocks last generation stuff. But their AM5 boards are looking much better
Roger
Would a ryzen 7 5700X be over kill for the gpu? I plan on playing cpu intensive games
Nah 5700X should be a sweet spot. Ironically the best cpu would be a 5800X3D in all honesty... This video highlights the 5700X ๐ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kr5V1lgctYw
AMD's Ryzen 7 5700X CPU follows-up the R7 5800X, but at $300 instead of the original $400+ price-point. That puts the R7 5700X vs. the i5-12600K, primarily, but also AMD's own R5 5600.
Sponsor: Buy Thermaltake's Tower 100 Mini-ITX case on Amazon (https://geni.us/TuAASGt)
This review and benchmark of the AMD R7 5700X CPU tests the new AMD releas...
Okay cool, im ordering the parts on the 20th, thank you for helping me pick
I like to try and be budget friendly with others builds... if the 5800X fits in your budget then go for it, but the money would be better spent on a 5800X3D or better yet, save some $$$ and get a 5700X. Note that if you get a 5800X/5800X3D then you might want to consider upgrading the GPU in the future ๐
No stress, happy to help
yeah i was trying to keep the build under 1200 and it fits right under โค๏ธ
What's the budget you have btw?
I've a couple of builds stached away on some price points
around ยฃ900-ยฃ1150
Btw, small note, there is little reason to go with an X570 board for AMD, unless you need more IO etc
Okay, lemme see
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/BwL2gb @silk inlet
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower
Oh I see, I was under the impression that the chipset was slightly better for performance
The 6700XT is also a lot better than the 3060, and it's cheaper
That is a solid build
The chipset is better, it has more function, but most people won't use them
You use them for things like, "I need a lot of IO" or "I need this feature that's not commonly used, and as such put on X series boards"
Intel is more scummy in this as you need Z series to get the unlocked actually unlocked
Thanks, i've a couple of builds, currently one just under 2k, one at ~1.5k and this one is the 1.5k modified
Generally I only suggest the 5800X3D if you have a Zen 4 board already
Otherwise AM5 is also possible, but the 5800X3D is really good for gaming so eh
Reminds me to make an 13100 build
HM how well is it in Virtual reality?
Do you have any usb dropout issues? Some B550 boards when used with a 5xxx ryzen are plaged by it.
Nope
And I cannot say whihc do or don't
So far I know is that, while it's an uncommon issue, it still happens and depends on the board you get
I cannot account for revisions
Maybe a bit more storage, 1TB will be filled up pretty fast.
Otherwise, just make sure the ram you buy is listed on the QVL of your motherboard. Older Ryzen had some RAM compatibility issues, especially with Corsair so sticking with what has been tested on the motherboard is generally a good idea.
yeah I know I got about 2.7TB of storage already spare so i dont need to get anymore
I had very rare disconnect, maybe once every few days with my 3900X and my gigabyte X570i aorus, but one of my friend with a 5600x and an asus B550 (i dont remember the exact model) will have usb dropouts every few minutes. I had to make him buy a pcie usb extension card
yeah, that's probably that specific board or just that revision issue
what does QVL mean?
Iirc, most issues have been fixed on newer revision boards
Basically it talks about compatiablity
Are you still going with the one I suggesteD?
If so I can look, because I completely forgot tht with the rise of AM5
Nah im sticking with the one i got the B550 gaming pluss and the am4 cpu
...?
my original build
I'm talking about this one
Ah
Why, if I miht wonder?
Im a little bit biased towards nividia and the budget dropped due to the rent being raised -_-
Ah
To how much?
And otherwise, you can swap the GPU, they're fairly closely priced
Eh
The 3050 is a lot worse
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, GeForce RTX 3060 12GB, Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower
Here
If you drop the SSD you're at almost exactly 1k
@everyone
Congrats
Anyway
I genuinely do recommend the 5800X3D unless you're really on a budget
THanks!
Np
Iโm looking for a pre built pc tight budget and I am a beginner
This will, by far, be a better PC
mostly because G sku's rather hamper performance anyway, and X series boards on AMD are redundant unless you need a specific feature
Hey @weary flame
Iโm new here
And Iโm looking for a pre built pc tight budget and I am a beginner
Where do I start looking
Gn?
But the lowest "budget" one I have is ~900 and is not a prebuilt
Gamers Nexus
It's a youtube channel
whats the catch?
What is a the best mini or tkl keyboard for gaming under $110
Depends on the airflow of the case and PSU wattage and tierlist
Need more info to say
With
Windows 10 Pro
Be quiet! Pure rock processor cooling
NVME M.2 SSD 1TB
I can't say anything
Seems like a good build
I use lenovo legion 5 ๐ช
if I build a new pc but put my current ssd in it will it have all the stuff. and if so will have have to reactivate windows
It depends
Sometiems you do, sometims you don't
You should be able to just carry it over
Linus did a video on it some time ago
ok, thanks
sus
I have a i7-11700k and a 1660ti. would a 850w psu be too much
no such thing as too much wattage for a psu, its always good to have the headroom for future upgrades
has someone any tips for me, my fortnite has already crashed 7 times today, i did not change any settings or something, all i did was download an update today around noon, i have verified the game, checked my graphic card update, idk what to do, dm me
8th time
Which update?
whats the best cpu (not budget wise, in general)
AMD EPYCโข 9754S
There are a lot under 1k
There is the 13900KS
But you'll have to splurge out a lot to properly cool it
The 7950X is really close to it
IF you want the fastest gaming, however
7800X3D
That's it
7800X3D is really it for gaming rn
yah
400-450
439 on amazon
You don't have to go with an X670, just a B650
Should do it
I do suggest to not go with an Asus board
does it go well with a asus 4070ti
It goes very well with it
It's literally the top end gaming processor, it'll uplift practically any "recent" GPU to perform better
wait so do u have to use a graphics card if u have a gpu
if not then is the "VIPERA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition Graphic Card" better then the other one
Not really, the 7800X3D has an iGPU, but you might as well use a dGPU
Wait

So, the 7800X3D has an iGPU, but the CPU part uplifts the performance of the GPU
It uses the GPU
so a graphics card is useless?
wait but arent gpu and graphics card different things
do you have a GPU yet?
i didnt get anything yet lol im just looking to buy a whole pc
What is your budget?
Ok thanks
need tips for a budget build.. mostly just to play CS2 and maybe Warzone. i know nothing ๐
just wanna be able to play CS2 at 150+ fps.. i'd be happy as long as I can get consistent 70+ fps on more intensive games.
What's your budget?
And what's your budget?
It depends on those things
I can give some builds in USD, but I'll have to look tomorrow for local pricing
around $1k @weary flame
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Radeon RX 6650 XT, Fractal Design Pop Air ATX Mid Tower
thanks! much better card choice then i was looking at.. @weary flame
how much of a difference would it make if i went with ryzen 5?
saw a similar build for $800 with the 6750 XT 12GB and Ryzen 5 5600.
Well, besides me not completely trusting that pricepoint for that
The 5800X3D should help a lot with boosting the GPU's performance
any reason to go with the Ryzen 7 over the i3-13100f or similar? benchmarks are almost identical and intel is half the price with faster single core. @weary flame
God no
They're not similar
If you use userbenchmark
Just go away
The 5800X3D is just that much better for gaming
Genuinely not suggested
The boost you can get in gaming with the 5800X3D could be close to getting that GPU
Ofc it won't extend to VRAM, but that's another issue
can anyone help me make a pc, my budget is 30k
30k usd????
thats what i'm saying ๐ญ
yeah
depends what ur looking to do
im tryna play adopt and raise a child on roblox ๐ฅ
I can send u my laptop for 1k USD bro๐
40 fps Roblox
damn that thing must be something crazy
no im tryjng to buy parts for a budget of 30k
i want 10k fps adopt and raise a child
But your hz....
Buy 360 hz monitor for me.
NO i want all my money dedicated to roblox
need tips to upgrade my pc a little, i have 16gb 3000Mhz, ryzen 5 2600, motherboard b450m ds3h, and a graphics card radeo rx 570,
my question is what can i do with a budget of around 230 euros?
10k hz pls
the best thing to do with ~230 euros is save
230
Well, the 7600 is at sale at 250
Otherwise get an A750/770
30K?!!!!
Bro just has 30k hanging around lol
Doesn't everyone have that?
yes bro for adopt and raise a child
u dont???
Save up your cash. You'll really want a BIG upgrade from those stats. Otherwise you won't get the upgrade you really want.
Guys which Mainboard is budget with a am4 sockel and 500w Power supply unit
What?
A board doesn't come with a PSU
Normally
And idk why you would want a 500w either
Also, why AM4?
intel core i7-9700k + gtx 1060 6gb? its good? or too weak graphic?
Guys I'm looking to upgrade my GPU, I will list my current specs since I don't wanna buy a card that my system will bottleneck. Also my main reason for upgrading is because I want to game and edit in 4k 60fps
MB: Asus Prime x370 pro
Ram: Fury 64gb @ 3200mhz
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x
GPU: RTX 2060 6gb
Can anyone recommend a GPU that will be good for 60fps 4k native (no dlss or any upscaling)
Not fussed what manufacturer you choose as long as I can game at 4k and also edit in 4k with premiere
it all boils to what is your budget @fair island
Erm I'd say around ยฃ500 I don't mind second hand either @weary burrow
You can get a 4070 for 600ยฃ
6800xt is just in that price range
16gb of VRAM, it's quite good
You're getting it new?
i have gtx 1060 6 gb and i need buy cpu or just buy new gpu idk my cpu is bad and i need better but idk thtat new cpu will balance with gtx 1060/I want to buy a new processor but I don't know if this processor will not be too good for my graphics card
So this is what you have right now?
What is your budget?
I am factory resetting my pc and the screen is flashing and making werd stuff what culd this be
Radeon 6700xt should be a good deal around that price iirc
But idk in local currency if that's still around that
Also that intel part is worse than the 9700k, can guarantee that
intel arc gpu isnt great for now
I would use it just for gamming and price is around $600
steel series sonar is the best audio mixer i've used and it's free, i reccomend you check it out
@weary flame i would use it mostly for minecraft but some other games
Idk what to suggest
A 5600G or a 5800G with an okay board and PSU?
Oh, and NVMe ig
Is this yours?
Well yeah itโs mine . What kinda silly question is that ?
It's so cool. What fans are those. Lian li?
Lian li sl120 infinityโs, strimers plus V2 came in today.
Very nice. What about gpu. 3080?
3070ti nvidia founders edition , gonna be switching it out for a asus tuf gaming 3070ti
Who the hell switches founders for tuf
Does that sound like a bad idea ??
No I mean isn't the tuf more expensive?
Who is switching that for a founder
Hello, hey - can someone with QcK PrismClotj tell me how it feels? Do you like it? Im thinking between Corsair's MM700 and SteelSeries QcK Prism Cloth XL. I can't decide which of the two...
@pulsar fossil is that for real? ^^

Does anyone know if the ryzen 5 1600 CPU would be fine with the Rx 6700 XT? Im planning on upgrading my GPU because it's bottlenecking my CPU. I checked a bottleneck calculator and it says there'll be a 0.8% bottleneck but I feel like it's not very accurate
What GPU are you currently using? I had a 6600xt paired with an Ryzen 5. Worked well enough and seemed to compliment eachother rather well. Although my zen chip was a more recent 5600x... But yes....it seems that a 6700 is from 3 generations after your chip came out. i mean its not far fetched to temporarily pair them together but your suspicions may be correct in that the bottleneck may be greater, in fact.
greater than just 1%
My current gpu is a sapphire Radeon RX 570. I was planning on upgrading my GPU and CPU but then I needed to upgrade my motherboard for compatibility reasons, then my PSU and eventually I needed to make another PC and sell my current one because all my current parts are compatible with pcie 3. I watched a few videos and there doesn't seem to be too much difference in performance with the games I play. (Between pcie 3 and pcie 4). So In the end my plan was to buy the GPU I wanted and see if it would work well with my current PC setup
It ultimately comes down to the game(s) your looking to play. Games like CSGO, Overwatch 2, and many popular e-sports titles are still heavily "CPU Bound/Intensive" meaning that for instance you upgrading your GPU vs CPU may not bring as much of a difference in FPS or input latency...depending on the game you play you may yield much better results with a more recent CPU than GPU, and save on it as well. As far as i can remember your chipset is one of the first AM4's if i am not mistaken, and now since AMD is on their next chipset, yes you are correct upgrading your CPU to the most recent generation would require a new motherboard and possibly DDR5 ram and so forth.
what i am suggesting is that you could get a Zen 2, Zen 3 R7 and pair it on your same motherboard and same with your gpu. If you upgrade your GPU alone and no motherboard or chip, you will still not be able to fully utilize your GPU because your motherboard is not of the x570 line....so essentially that is support for "Above 4G Encoding" and SAM (Smart Access Memory) - some of the most powerful and newest features of AMD's recent GPU line
So if i were in your shoes - X570 Mobo (MSI Tomahawk) + 3600 or 5600 R5 + a 6000 series GPU paired with 3600 mhz DDR4 would be the price to performance sweet spot for you sir. atleast in 2023
correction, tomahawk may not be available as an x570. in that case look at something affordable in Gigabyte
Ok thanks!
It works
But I'd upgrade
Dependant on your budget and the board you have you can get far
Otherwise, you can find a good, but cheap B560 and the 5800X3D
And uh, it's more your CPU that's bottlenecking the 6700xt
I think i misworded it, I meant my current gpu is bottlenecking my cpu
It's not
It just
Not
A 1600 is bottlenecking the 6700xt more than the 6700xt is bottlenecking the 1600
Can someone help???
If you buy a 6700xt you need a new CPU
Or the fps would be the same or little higher
Buy a 5600x or a 5800x3d if you can
i think you misunderstand me
i meant my current gpu
Just get a new CPU
It's gonna help everything
A 5800X3D is pretty much bang for buck if you can get it in your board, otherwise it's a newer, ~100 bucks B560
5600
ah thanks much cheaper
No problem
Tell me if you need more help
The one they sent it's not from amazon
But yeah maybe it's aud
How to change the default sonar device
Every time I turn on the computer, it is a game configuration.
"au" is the code for Australia if I remember correctly
So I assume the price is in that
Yeah might be
What games you play?
how to we win the give away
yeah im australian
the amazon link was 338 AUD
That's not too bad
is msi a good brand?
For what motherboards?
no, for a laptop
Specss?
Don't go Asus for now
The customer support is in shambles
Yes, for the most part they are.
ok
...?
Can sameone send me a link from a gaming laptop that is good for the price 500
just look the pieces one by one
Are any of these good? If yes then which one is better for the price?
i would have gone for the blue ryzen one
i prefer intel, but i think the 4070 would be getting bottlenecked because off the i5
3rd I'd say
The first is enticing, except that 11th gen isn't that good
And the 4070ti bundled with it for that price is a bit suspicious
Also
The 11400 just lacks in everything compared to the 5800x
Unless you do something like, idk, Adobe
This site i safe but thank you very much!
But that's dedicated video editing kinda stuff
It's not the site, it's the people selling it through the site
personally, I'd just buy all the components and hit up a local pc repair shop and ask if they can build it for like 100$
most of them are willing
Pcpartpicker
Can I get help for a budget pc? They have recommended me the RT 6700 XT but I also wanna get aesthetics and I donโt know how
dm me and i'll help you
What's the budget?
I just ordered a Lenovo 4090 desktop
4k usd
so i dont need to worry about electrocuting my own when i try to build it
sheeeeeeeesh
just got a 7900 xtx for $900
how much is a good starting budget to build a gaming PC? (but only csgo)
Hope it doesnโt melt
Nice bro
Please don't :)
๐
@pulsar fossilHey, uh, yeah, I think you can see
Ty
You too
wait you can build a pc?
Csgo is one of the easiest games to run on pc so you could start with entry level specs if you really wanted to
k
we give advice to build one, like components
1500$ but with aesthetic and performance
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower
Should be good
Play around with some stuff maybe
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, NZXT H5 Flow ATX Mid Tower
Can someone help me build a overkill 4090 and Ryzen 7950X build in a NZXT H710
i can
Thank you
we can't talk in dms
?
about the build
So in another chat?
in dm
GTA v forza horizon 5 fortnite and minecraft
400 euro
alr
do you have some preferences between amd and nvidia?
if nvidia is possible then nvidia
ok thank you
want the link?
yes please
thank you
no problem
6600/6650xt
If spicy 6700xt
yeah but he told me he prefers nvidia
6700xt would be coool
there is even 6750xt for 415
not bad
I still suggest the 6700xt over the 3060
Because just
Better deal
Near same price
6750xt
12GB of VRAM
yeah apart of that
@shut pagoda
for 30 euros more you get 6750xt
6700 is close to that performance too
i have 6700
So it solely depends on budget
yeah
Just get whatever fits, if the 6750xt fits
And you can get it
It's so much better
At least than the 3060
If you can't get much more than a 3060, just get the 6700xt
It's almost the same price, and over 3070 levels
yeah it's more like a 3070ti
plus you can oc it
3070, second hand, ~300 bucks, works like a charm
Rather not talk about it
7100
I know
the problem is that you have to change motherboard and cpu
๐
@pulsar fossil heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Yeah, it's happening again
How are ya doing tho?
Thanks! Appreciate it
Np
Busy with work but good, thanks. Excited for some more esports in my life after a little break. How about you? :)

I haven't changed the thermal paste for 11 months, the temperatures are like the first day, should I replace it with a quality thermal paste?
maybe. the best one is thermalgrizzly
lol thermal paste is generally good for several years.
Hi, does anyone know why I can't hear with my headphones, I tried the sonar, then I disabled the sonar, and since I did that, I can't hear anything
did you make sure your volume knobs on the headset arent turned down?
I didn't understand what you mean
he means make sure your volume isnโt on 0, for the headset
Make sure that the output on the volume control is set to the right thing, it should be in the drop-down box in the bottom right of your screen.
Just picked up some Arctis Nova 9's and am actually really liking the Sonar software (i seem to be in the minority though) I was wondering if anyone has advice or an example of mixing a physical mixer or interface with sonar? ultimately, if I could have sonar open but minimized and control game, media, chat levels with a fader or dial, that would be awesome! Hoping someone has done something similar or has an idea. thanks!
If you havenโt found a solution restart the PC
Then apply all settings
Then restart again
Make sure your headphones are connected when you change settings
Then turn them off when you restart
Hi guys after ubdate i can't hear whit my headset (SteelSeries Arctis Pro+ GameDAC)
Bevor ubdate was everything Okey
hey guys so i dont have the time with work to build a gaming pc anyone reccomend the best place to buy a bundle with monitor etc and reccomnd the one to get for good sysm please and t.i.a
NZXT is good. kinda steep
HP OMEN makes a great machine, 800-1500 in price range
CLX Gaming also @lethal delta
u can maybe look for SWEET IT on facebook, he ships, hes built 4 for me so far. and very good prices
yeah from my experience, HP has been decent (I have this pc: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-25l-desktop-pc-gt12-1000a/2100404878/model/2100816072/product-info?sku=56L38EA) but not great. I feel like the specs are not as good as they could've been for the price I paid.
Also yeah the airflow is quite bad. And you have to clean it every month or so or else there's gonna be a noticeable difference in performance
Find product information, product compatibility, and specifications for your OMEN 25L Desktop PC GT12-1000a (ID 1Z1C0AV)
and I actually came to this channel to ask this:
Can someone who knows stuff about specs and general gaming pc performance please look through my PC a bit and try to figure out why some games run really badly?
Like just vc for a bit and I'd screenshare.
LMAO INSTANT BAN FROM POSTING A SERVER LINK
Rival 650 connection problem (stuck in this color flashing loop and not connecting to PC), what should I do?
When I plug it into another computer, the wireless mouse works, but it does not see the wireless mouse on the computer I use on the desktop. I formatted the computer, but still not resolved. It's also very strange that it works on another computer and not on my computer. Would you help me with this topic? Thank you...
First, obviously check if it's plugged in. If it is, and it's still just flashing, but not connecting, there is a "connect" button on the back of the mouse. And an ON/OFF feature right next to it.
Try turning it off, plugging it out right after, turning it on, and plugging it back in, but into a different port.
What are the specs?
If none of that works, you can try putting your mouse in wired mode (by plugging the cable into the mouse), once again turning the mouse upside down, and powering it off by sliding this button
unfortunately, it didn't happen and it didn't get fixed.
Then unplugging the cable from the mouse, powering the mouse itself back on, and pressing "connect"
Thank you very much Nao. But again, the problem is not solved, I want to show you exactly what it is because I've been dealing with it for days and I'm tired of it. Can you help me privately on discord, please?
yeah sure.
5700G
That's it
Not a bad APU
Just
Not great for gaming
low end will be amazing
Like low 1080p on games should be fine
What is it?
Country you in?
And, do you have an AM4 board already
it gets this low
this is base speed
and this is boosted speed
That's normal
GPU's only boost frequency when needed
This is what CPU's do too
"base" speed doesn't mean it runs at that constantly however, like CPU's do
so should I keep the "Perf level" at "boost", "current", or "base"?
What it means is that "base" speed is what it will target while in use, while the "boost" speed is what it will max out to generally, or at least the preset says so
Do you have any load on at the last screenshot?
also idk if this helps with anything but here's the CPU panel
Doesn't really matter
if a rhythm game counts then yes but I'd say no
also I'm streaming on discord
also here it says my ram speed is 1865MHz
but here
it says it's 3467 (I overclocked it)
No?
oh?
Nothing is the issue
It didn't say you had a dGPU
I have 2 monitors and the main one is 1440p so
Whicxh games are running poorly?
my games run at 1440p
mainly CSGO and osu!
Which FPS numbers you are getting?
so in osu! I get about 500-600/960 (it might not seem like an issue. I didn't think it was either till I noticed it goes down to 300 while actually playing. and this game takes your monitor refresh rate x4 and that's your fps. any lower than 800 and there's a noticeable difference)
that's not too bad though. I can live with it lol
in csgo
on the other hand
I have a friend with almost the exact same specs as me and he gets about 400fps more than me.
I get like 200, with a few lag spikes that drag that down to 90.
also weirdly enough turning my graphics up or down doesn't change anything nearly.
Sure they don't have a 5700 and not a 5700G?
and where is the cable plugged into?
The board or something else?
not sure. how do I check that?
Is it plugged into the motherboard or GPU?
?
I don't understand
my monitor?
if you mean my monitor, it's plugged into my GPU
because I'm pretty sure my motherboard doesn't even have a monitor slot
So
CSGO really likes high frequency chips
because you have an APU, it does not have as high of a frequency, as such giving lower performance
Further, the 5800X3D is an 8 core part which can boost higher and, iirc, the 3D V-chache works really well for CSGo, further boosting performance
So do you think I should get that?
Oh
The 5800X3D is a great chip
If you have the budget for it, get it
Do twist the cooler
Don't pull it straight out
also.. is the size any different? will I have any issues with installing it?
You loosen the screws of the cooler, twist it while it's still on the CPU and it should get out
No, you can just put it in
shouldn't be too hard to install a cpu.. right?
yeah. I've learned my lesson with other stuff (not pc related but I broke some stuff because of wrong usage xd)
Just saying
also, here's something you might wanna look at:
https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/61700341
lol what?
You loosen the screws of the cooler
Twist the cooler off, clean the bottom of the cooler and the top of the CPU (it should have CPU paste on it, generally it's grey)
Take out the CPU
Put in the 5800X3D and secure it
Put thermalpaste on the CPU
Cooler on it
Tighten cooler
It's a great lie that should not be trusted at all
They really like Intel and Nvidia
Like
really
Anything that's AMD has a warning of AMD paying reviewers to paint it in a good light and that they're all lying
They're not even true in performance
Just, don't trust that site
In any metric
Ok. Good to know.
Figured it's good to tell
Ty
๐
@weary flame yo a friend just told me that in his opinion, the R5 7600x is better than R7 5800x3d
And he's using that "userbenchmark" thingy and some youtube videos as proof but idfk.
do you know anything about that one? @weary flame
@pulsar fossil ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
dang it
The 7600X is not better in gaming
At all
The 5800X3D still outperforms it
And you will need a new motherboard etc, it's way cheaper for you to just get the 5800X3D
It's still really good
Sorry, was doing things
