The Pro didn't have a on headset volume knob unlike the 7. If the 7 didn't I'd have returned it too but I can just turn the Amp down and no more white noise.

@tiny star honeslty it seems like the 7X is phasing out the 9X when comparing them directly against each other. You're getting longer battery life and more features, aside from bluetooth, on the 7X for less money
Really unless you want to be able to have your headset connected to your phone/laptop via bluetooth and your Xbox at the same time, there's o real reason to buy the 9X anymore

@tiny star HighRes is just better sound. Richer, fuller, and for gaming can produce more detail with footsteps and such. Surround Sound is just a digital processing effect to make the sound appear all around you instead of only the right and left channel. SteelSeries does a really good job with it compared to other brands

yeah I think its all about personal preference. I swapped from the G502 to the Rival 600 and honestly? they're both fine to me. I liked the handshape of the 502 but enjoy the 600 for the customability and the SS engine
