Generally stuttering is related to a GPU or RAM problem, not the CPU. A 7700HQ should be fine for most titles

With most gaming laptops upgrading the RAM is fairly strait forward. Just unscrew the bottom, find the RAM slots, pop out the old stick and put the new ones in then bam you should be up and running again
