I'll just request a refund. Pretty garbage to pay $300 for a set of headphones and they randomly stop working and you don't have a phone number you can call.

There's no support available and I didn't install or update anything. I installed their software a few months ago because the headphones quit working needing a firmware update. The sonar comes from their software. I'm mainly upset about the absolute lack of support. I put in a ticket with them but for a premium brand I would expect to be able to call and talk to someone. Very disapointed in the lack of support.

Sonar doesn't activate unless you tell it to. It can be disabled in settings

i think people always assume steelseries is a huge company with all these resources but it's actually 1/10th the size of razer/logitech

I always assumed SteelSeries' workforce was as large as it's competitors. Corsair, Logitech, and Razer all have somewhere close to 1000 employees each, so I assumed SteelSeries was probably about the same. In actuality, we have just a few hundred employees across the globe. Our modest American office seats less than 100 people, and we're considered the "big" office.

I guess I'll just ask here.
I bought the Arctis 7+ headphones just now. I set up everything in the sonar and it worked just fine. The sound was very muffled so mid-game I disconnected the dongle and reconnected it at the back of my case straight to the motherboard, and my computer suddenly turned off and back on again. When it got booted back up, the headset didn't work at all. Now I can't see the different sonar channels inside the sonar section in the GG app.
All I have is the "Headphones 4- Arctis 7+" option in the drop down menu, and not the "Game", "Chat", "Microphone" etc. channels.
Now the game is completely muted unless I shut down the app altogether.
I tried restarting my computers, reinstalling the app and then rebooting my computer, disabling and enabling the channles. Nothing worked so far. I still can't see it in the drop down menu.

Many SteelSeries headsets come with Sidetone, which allow you to hear yourself through the headset’s mic for better clarity when talking.

For most headsets, the volume of the Sidetone can be lowered in SteelSeries Engine, which is part of GG. GG can be downloaded here: https://steelseries.com/gg

If you have a “Playstation” version of a headset (such as the Arctis Nova 7P) then your headset may have a physical wheel on the headset for turning the sidetone down.

For analog headsets that use the 3.5mm headphone port, sidetone may be generated by your on-board audio devices. Please refer to your computer manufacturer’s support for more help

Hey, so uhh not really a tech support thing (I think) but I recently switched from Nahimic to Steelseries and thought it was cool for a bit til I started replaying a game recently and noticed minor differences that I just couldn't seem to shake off or ammend for with Sonar cause of the different way it configures things. I don't suppose there's somewhere maybe I could like, send photos of my old Nahimic config and ask if anyone would be able to remake it in sonar would they? I've got the bass and treble changes done already easy peasy but I used the surround sound on "option 3" and not sure how to recreate that on Sonar.

I use rapid trigger as well as the activation force at 0.1mm but really the impression that it does not activate correctly when I activate it it does not remain activated it is just a blow while I maintain well

rapid trigger may actually be why it would deactivate. having rapid trigger on and the sensitivity at 0.1 means that the tiniest upward motion detected by the switch would release the key. try lowering the sensitivity a bit.

not the cheapest out there but good quality and hot swappable

make sure to check if it has wifi built in as some only use bluetooth if you do get one

or you can use it wired

they also have lots of different varieties of them
