I had that same issue. Go into your pc settings and do all your updates even for windows I had like 7 updates for driver, that didnt update automatically but one was for steelseries, and it seems to have fixed my issue because it just kept crashing and was contemplating on changing my full audio set up and get rid of steelseries software

Hi all I’m new to steelseries products, I’m looking for some help as I’m having trouble. I have just bought the Arctic 7X+ and am an Xbox series S user, I’ve updated the firmware and found a profile for the game I play (Call of duty DMZ) it sounds perfect on the PC and the volume is good, footsteps are clear in the sonar app etc but as soon as I plug it in to the Xbox everything is really low, can barely hear footsteps etc

TBH if you're editing you should make sure your sound is as neutral/flat as possible so it sounds the best on the widest range of systems (since most people will likely be running "flat" speakers/heapdhones)

you can use sonar but you'll need to keep the EQ flat and make sure any audio enhancements are off while editing

Hi, I need some help with my Arctis Nova Pros. I just bought this headset for my pc and every time I start my pc I get no sound through my headset. HI! I have been searching on these configs for a while looking for a solution to my problem. Anyone have a good sonar config for chat or mic to stop reverb/echo. Only happens in Fortnite Chat, never in discord zoom or google meets. I can not for the life of me figure out why. Hey guys, has anyone here ever had to replace the cable on Arctis 5 headphones? Both the headset and replacement parts on SteelSeries are out of production by now, but the cable format seems to be some strange rare type instead of more standard USB-C they're using for newer models, so finding a replacement is kinda difficult. The ones on Amazon all have people complaining about really low quality and short lifespan. Would be a real shame to have to buy a whole new headset even though this one works perfectly fine, just because it uses a weird obscure connection cable.

You might be better off finding a cheap second hand Arctis 5 on eBay or something and just using the cable from it. 3rd party cables are notoriously unreliable and they aren't manufacturing that headset anymore afik so they probably aren't sticking first party replacement parts unfortunately

The Nova 5, the Arctis 5's wireless successor is on sale right now if you wanted to go for an upgrade. If you don't want wireless though, the Nova 3 is a solid wired option (although it isn't currently on sale)

the ones they had in store didnt have either usb passthru or onboard memory, but the settings button was full RGB like the rest of the keyboard.

it's a "common issue" since there's like a million different possibilities and a lot can be attributed to user error or simple misconfigurations. did the volume wheel simply get knocked? or the chatmix wheel? did the volume in windows get set to zero? is the base station set correctly? did you happen to turn on sonar, and if so, is sonar set correctly? are apps/games set correctly?

1. Go To Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch
2. Under Backup Device Switch > Move your desired device to the Playback devices and make sure that it's setup as (1) this will set the device as high priority
3. Make sure that the device is set as high priority on every Tab being GAME / CHAT / MEDIA / AUX / MIC

After properly setting up your playback devices, feel free to restart your device and SteelSeries GG itself then further confirm if the issue persists.

a factory reset just sets the profiles on the keyboard back to default. another way to do this without doing the on-board reset is to go into Engine, make a new config, and then drag that config onto the keyboard. the new config will also be default so it does the same thing.

good sound/ mic but you have to use sonar and its very bad, the mic has more hz than the sonar allows to use, so, once u install sonar, u will loose mic quality, also the sonar channels always fuck up on the windows start, also the build in config, only works if u are on sonar, for example, the default turn off time is 30 min, i configure it on sonar to be 1 hour,, it works, but when im on linux, they turn off after 30 min of silence

Very good product, very good sound, mic quality, but honestly the software makes me to kinda hate them, it may sound like nothing but you will have to do a extra step every time you turn on the pc

if you skip the step and try to change ur pc volume you are just going to change that channel volume, not the whole pc, i dont see the point of making chanels windows and not just in the sonar

steelseries kinda rules, i had to rma my aerox 9, "not intended" with an issue with the 2.4ghz i tired a few things, and also tired what was suggested, i took a few photo's and a video, and they issued me a rma code, just waiting for it to be "processed" now, one thing i didant like was having to snap the mouse jobbers off, but that leads me to a new project, thorow the main body in the bin so i have the insides open and wall mount it 😄

The Yeti has a minijack/headphones output that contains sidetone, you then plug that minijack into the line in port on the DAC

The only downside is the latency added by the headset being wireless but it's not enough to be a problem for everyone
