Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

try turning off sonar for a bit and use the headset without it. sonar isn't required for the headset, so it'll help to run just the headset for a while and see if it's still crashing. if it is crashing without sonar then there might be a hardware issue

Hello, I have the Arctis 7 Nova pro. I have the base station plugged into my laptop and my laptop plugged in via HDMI to my projector. For some reason, GG sonar does not show my headset. My laptop is showing that it is connected and defaulted to the Sonar output and input, Discord shows these options as well. GG however does not have any output or input options other than my laptop speakers and my projector speakers. Would anyone be able to advise on this please?

I am using the Rival 650 mouse. I went into the GG app to turn off the RGB illumination, but it only turns off when the app is running. If I close the app, the lights turn back on to the default mode, which drains the battery when I use it wirelessly. if you get the 3080 for very cheap or for free it is a good deal but do not buy it if it cost around 350 because you can get better gpu's for that money because the 10 gb vram wont make you happy in 2025, already struggles in alot of games if you try to max out alot of games in 1440p

ok ammm then your 3080 will be bottlenecked in 1080p you can upgrade in the future to a 1440p monitor and have the same fps as in 1080p but the downside is that you will get in to vram limit even more ammm or you can just upgrade your CPU to a 13700k later on 🙂

but at the end you will have a great performance uplift there but your GPU in 1080p will be hardcore bottlenecked by the CPU so dont just go High Preset, go max preset

so you will give the GPU the max load because compared to a GTX 1650 the 3080 is a beast so you will have to give the GPU the most load and not the 13400f

dont forget to use DDU software to remove your Old GPU driver and Reinstall it when you have the RTX 3080 inside, will be the best way

from 80 fps now you will have double of that or even tripple at max settings in most games, hope you have a High Refresh Monitor and if not then buy in the future a 144/165 hz 1440p monitor and you are good to go 🙂

the amount of rattle annoys me at times

i cant tell if they are pre lubed or not

they rattle a lot. but luckily, it doesnt actually hurt the typing experience for me. its just the sound that's annoying
performance is the best i have seen so far. it is the only hall effect keyboard i have

imagine if they do 0.05 or 0.01 mm actuation point for gen 2 and above. that is a dream that will never come true

they shouldn't ship dead, i think the batteries usually ship with half charge... but i guess with enough bad luck you could get them dead.

I feel like replacing the switches could be a last resort for those who need to change them due to possible issues. Most HE keyboards are hotswapable nowadays. Sadly, SteelSeries doesn’t do this

discord has its own audio/output settings. youll have to change them manually in the discord app.

Apex pro doesn’t allow hotswap. Only the 60% layout has the rapid trigger, while with the rest, it’s just normal switches. I still don’t understand the reason behind that decision
