It works fine without Sonar enabled, but enabling it kills all audio. No apps ever show up to be routed to the virtual devices.

Hello, I just bought the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless and applied the Overwatch 2 settings in Sonar. I was wondering if I should set the sound now to System Settings or Dolby Atmos for Headphones in-game.

I assume the system settings are to use the one from Sonar, but for OW2, would it be better to use Dolby Atmos? Do you have any other good recommendations for those who use the same headset?

If you are going to use spatial sound in sonar, set to system settings (which turns off atmos)

If you are just using the EQ, you can stack it on overwatch's Atmos.

You can do a test listening to music when it's on vs off. Without anything in sonar enabled.

Hello. I have recently tried using SteelSeries Sonar application for streaming and being able to adjust all the audio levels including Discord, but for some reason Sonar does not seem to recognize any running apps or webpages for me to route anything. And on top of that even trying several different audio output sources Sonar has absolutely ZERO audio, but as soon as I change it back to desktop audio or my headset everything is just fine. I've noticed several individuals (more than several actually) are having this same issue is there something bugged with this most reason update/version of GG?

The routing in Sonar is basically a GUI for the audio routing in Windows

In order for apps to output to the other devices in Sonar, you'll need to route the apps to the specified device. Routing can be done in one of two ways:

1. Use the routing drag and drop interface underneath the audio outputs to simply move any apps playing sounds to the required output

2. Open the Windows sound device by going to Settings > Sound > App Volume and Device Preferences. From this settings menu you can use the dropdown to route any app.

If you are having issues with routing not working or apps moving back to another device after dragging them, you may need to check the app itself for any sound output settings. Some apps like Discord, Spotify, and Apple Music may need to have their outputs changed within their app settings rather than done through Sonar.

Hello there, I've just purchased the 'Steelseries Arena 9' and using Sonar with that. For some reason whenever I try to play 'Hogwarts Legacy' I have to choose between either hearing Sound effects/music or voices, if I hear voices I don't hear sound effects/music and the other way around. I've had this issue for a couple of days and can't seem to get it resolved. Seriously doubting to return these speakers, It's basically forcing me to choose between the 'Sonar Gaming' sound option or 'Sonar Chat' I can't seem to make the two collide and experience the game as you should. Is there anyone that knows how to fix this issue ?

after trying literally everything imaginable (uninstalling, reinstalling, running as admin, firmware update, etc..) the sonar gaming channel still has no sound at all

no matter how many times i touch this slider, it wont even make the volume noise

I FIXED THE ISSUE

so for anyone having the issue with sonar not working, revert gg back to version 73.0 and make absolute sure that your base station is plugged into the back of the PC and not the front.. when i plugged it into the front ports, there was no audio on the gaming channel, but when i plugged it into the back the sonar gaming channel worked and the game/chat dial was working properly too
