It's already set up on discord to play audio only though chat channel

You don't need to drag and drop discord to chat since it's already set up correctly

And a tip. Get Tidal. It's way better than Spotify

I have a solo cast microphone. It doesn't have any type of noise reduction so it captures all noise and people talking on my house. Sonar is a must need...

My arctic nova pro 7 is driving me nuts. Can't seem to correctly diagnose the problem. Mic works fine, Speaker physically works (I can hear beeps when changing the station settings) but I can't for the life of me get anything from the PC to come into the speakers. just find the mic that came with your xbox 360 (assuming you're old enough to have purchased one back in the day lol) if not, then buy one on ebay. you will never get the same effect from a premium headset. if you dont want to do any of that, just turn up your mic monitoring and gain. Repeat this in the settings of the game you are playing.

There is a registry value at HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\State with a value called ImageState that stores whether windows installation through a system image has been fully completed. Cool. I have the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless and every 3-5 seconds it cuts out. It feels like its got like interference or something with the 2.4ghz signal but I like tried different things. Changing my router channel, turning off the 2.4ghz signal on it entirely but nadda it still happens. I've reinstalled all the drivers on my computer, moved the base around, i'm about ready to return it tbh.

I've owned an arctis pro wireless headset for a long time now... about 6 years. i havent used it in over 4 or 5 years, everything with the headset was great until i realized that the headset cracked and was falling apart over the time of me using it. i contacted steelseries support and was given a redemption code for a new headset. for the next 2 months that code was valid the headsets were out of stock and couldnt reorder one. i was then told its ok because it will come back in stock soon or that i would get a new code when it was available. now to this day i havent gotten a new code or been able to use the $450 headset i bought. so now i am asking and requesting for the 3rd or 4th time if anyone can help me with my situation to replace my headset. ive been very frustrated with all the other crappy brands ive bought over the years and really want to get back to my steelseries one because i love and adore the brand so much. so please if anyone or staff member can help me with this, that would be great!

no, theyre all seperate outputs that will still go to your headset all at once, so set your browser to steelseries sonar media in windows sound mixer, set your games to steelseries sonar game in game settings(itll be set to that by default if you set your desktop audio to sonar game, and set discord output and other chat outputs to steelseries sonar chat

once you set the outputs to sonar they all work together, is just allows you to use different presets and things like noise cancellation for each of the seperate inputs

my apex 7 tkl is tweaking right now, it basically thinks I'm pressing down the seelseries key so when I'm trying to type normally it is using my macros. it just started today and idk if it's cus the steelseries update but it also said my keyboard had a critical update so I did that and it still is doing it

Hey i bought an arctis 7p+ yesterday, both the headset and the sonar app was running fine but mic quality was terrible, upon suggestions i deleted the ss engine and removed sound drivers, after reinstalling ss engine sonar doesn't work anymore, when i select arctis as my main sound device i can hear and use the mic in discord but sonar app doesn't work for me anymore. Does anyone know any solution?

i reinstalled after a fresh windows install and i have no audio ? tried swapping to the headphones as an output and dragged chrome to gaming and now it doesn't output at all. already reinstalled and went through

make sure the apps you wanna set the output to are playing audio like a video or something then click it and set to the steelseriesoutputs

In order for apps to output to the other devices in Sonar, you'll need to route the apps to the specified device. Routing can be done in one of two ways:

1. Use the routing drag and drop interface underneath the audio outputs to simply move any apps playing sounds to the required output

2. Open the Windows sound device by going to Settings > Sound > App Volume and Device Preferences. From this settings menu you can use the dropdown to route any app.

If you are having issues with routing not working or apps moving back to another device after dragging them, you may need to check the app itself for any sound output settings. Some apps like Discord, Spotify, and Apple Music may need to have their outputs changed within their app settings rather than done through Sonar.

if the game has an output option make sure to change it in game, might override windows setting

honestly idek if the drag and drop sources in sonar matter, i just set them in windows settings and game settings

no in game way to change audio. If i set everything to default and swich output device to headphones i can get audio that way but kinda defeats the purpose of sonar

ya if you have the output set correctly in windows, the game, and sonar, which it looks like you do, id assume its a bug or something in the engine tab. check volume levels in the engine tab and see if theres any other settings that might interfere, after helping a few ppl w steelseries headsets i understand how bad their settings are 😂

Question, I am trying to setup Sonar but every time it has me "set Sonar as default audio for desktop" it kills my audio entirely and it won't recognize any audio playing. What is wrong?

Have you checked that the output in Sonar is setup correctly?

Yes, also tried several different outputs, ranging from my Nari Essentials headset speakers, to the THQ Spatial audio extension, even my monitor, all with no change. Websites also are not showing up in routing and discord does not either (and I had changed the output settings in discord as needed, still didn't matter)

Basically if I'm using this I'm getting absolutely zero audio from anywhere but as soon as I change the desktop audio setting back to my headset, it's fine. But kind of defeats the whole point of trying to use Sonar. I would love to be able to adjust all the different audio sources while streaming but if there's no audio that's not really gonna work 😅

And with how many people are having this same issue, I'd say it's not a user error. It's probably something wrong with the app, just simple deductive reasoning there...

Well, hopefully they fix whatever is bugged. Because the system seems pretty streamline. I'm quite upset I go to use it and it's not functioning. I'm sure I'm not alone.

My headset came today and was disappointed that after installing sonar I have 0 sound. So to use the headset for its intended use I cant use the software the developers of the headset made for said headset😂

I know this is odd, but i have a rival 3 wireless and its not connecting in any way shape or form to my computer.

Yeah man, I have a Nari Essential and while it's not a SteelSeries product it's a pretty decent mid tier Razer headset and the app recognizes all the the outputs and I can select my headset but just all the audio gets cut even from webpages. Guess for now I'll just keep using my THQ spatial for at least the quality/bass boosting. But I really wanted that full range adjustability for the game, discord and mic audio.

Plus I really like the built in integration that SHOULD be working with OBS 😅😭 I really hope they fix this shid soon 😩
