the old APW has white noise. there's no way around it. you can minimize the issue by making sure the volume of your PC is at max and only using the headset controls for volume, as well as turning the volume limiter ON.

the white noise was fixed on the newer nova pro wireless

No, I deactivated the microphone completely, removed the sidetone at 0. I removed everything, and you can be sure that even if you remove the headphones from the station, there's still “white noise”

it sounds like you already diagnosed it as a hardware fault so i would recommend doing a warranty exchange

but keep in mind that the APW is discontinued so it's probably better to switch to the nova pro

Half the time people on discord say I sound robotic ... half the time either hte left or right will "disconnect". I have pushing the right earbud to mute/unmute my mic ... pushing the button gives 0 indication i've done anything, so I dunno if I'm muted or not.

It seems the 2.4 thing "lags" if I get more than 10-15ft from it and then just ... the buds don't reconnect, I have to put them back in the case etc

just set GG to not run at boot. that way sonar won't load with GG and you can just open GG later when you want it

also keep in mind that sonar can work with any audio device, so you can set sonar to just output to speakers or whatever else and keep it running all the time

My terminology might be wrong here. But I’m using sonar as a channel eq. So I can adjust the volume of different applications or mute them or apply audio profiles to them. I’m doing this by setting the playback personal mix to my normal audio output device.

But it also depends on if you play low or high sens

i dont understand why people keep on suggesting this. IT DOES NOT WORK. Sonar sets their "Gaming" audio channel by default. it sets it to the default channel on boot and it does it every. single. time. you. restart. the. app. it does not go away. ive been trying to find a solution to this also and have been suggested it three times. IT DOES NOT WORK. if i must i will provide a recording with what happens when you boot up SS GG while looking at the windows audio device amanger.
