Sorry for posting this here, but I have no idea where else to get help. I’m having some trouble with my Arctis 1 Wireless headphones. The microphone works fine when I use the cable, but it doesn’t pick up anything when I connect it via the wireless adapter. I’ve checked my audio settings and made sure the headset is set as the default recording device, but no luck.

Has anyone experienced this issue or have any suggestions on how to fix it? I’d really appreciate any help!

Got an nova pro wireless, for months it's said I need to update the firmware, but it just doesn't detect it being plugged in. I've used so many different USB cables - I believe it requires USB-A -> USB-C which I've tried, but never get's detected. I've tried USB-C -> USB-C but that doesn't work either. Check your fallback settings (or disable the feature)

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

The Nova has noise cancelling, but I barely notice it working. Definitely bottom tier noise cancelling, I've owned a few from other manufacturers. The strap for resting on your head is horrible, the worst fitting headset I've ever owned and I've had around 10. The Arctis has a much better strap for customizing the fit on your head, it's probably the best. If you look at a picture of a Nova, you'll see it has almost no customization, so if you tilt your head a little back or forward, it falls off.

i think the nova has more customization, since you can pull the headphone cans out to adjust how they sit vertically. the older arctis headphones relied on only the headband to adjust vertically which meant over time as the elastic wore out, the headphones would just sink down.

Yes, you can pull out the cans if your head is the size of Andrea the Giant's. However as I said, they don't fit tightly so it's not wise to move while wearing them. Women and men with smaller heads should stay away. My Arctis Nova's head band is falling apart and I've had it for almost one year. It can connect to your computer and phone at the same time, which is a plus. The noise cancellation is worthless though. The 3D sound doesn't really work that great, especially for movies it sounds like stereo, no surround sound.

Bought a new Aerox 9 off Ebay, tape was still keeping the lid on and the box had no damage that might indicate it fell and damaged the mouse. Can connect the mouse to my PC, lights come on, downloads new drivers, etc., but it can't detect movement. hi how can i download older versions of the steelseries gg app?

i have been trying to fix this issue all morning and also googling

even if its just possible to have the colors off totally.. i dont really mind not being able to save the color settings, its just that i dont like the constant flashing colors of the default and this happens everytime i exit the app, when before i was able to just save the settings internally on the mouse memory, but i just cant remember what i did in the settings to make it save in the memory of the mouse, i understand the prism thing will only work when the app is running, but when i go to the setting the color settings are all greyed out and they are not clickable, instead the app is always forcing me to use prism

i honestly am trying to explain the problem as best i can

this was working 100% for about 3 months untill i reinstalled things today

i dont think its a problem with the mouse itself, its just that i dont recall how to go about confirming the settings in the app, and i was just wondering if anyone might be able to help

when i start the app i click on "engine" on the left

and then i see the mouse in the center part

if i click on the mouse it brings up these settings, and then if i click the "illumination" tab it shows me color settings
but as i explained these settings i cannot change beacuse they are not clickable with the mouse, they are visable but they are not interactable

at the very top of this is a link to "prism" which i am able to change the colors.. but when i exit this app the colors revert to the default flashing colors of the mouse

but i think this problem is more related to the app settings, not the mouse

but im not sure

as i said everything was working perfect up till today

i dont think its a case that the app no longer allows to save settings to the memory beacuse the app i used is the same file i downloaded a few months ago when i was first setting the mouse up

in fact i had the app totally uninstalled and the mouse color settings was still saved in memory all this time

but i ran into some windows issues and had to reinstall everything, i mistakenly re-installed the steelseries app which for some reason reset the mouse to default settings, so that setting i had in the memory of the mouse for a few months was gone, and ive basically spent the last 4 or so hours desperatly trying to set the mouse as i had it before

im pretty sure its just that the app itself is confusing me and i seem to remember that i was able to set the color settings in the main color area NOT the prism settings

but now the app seems not to let me use the first/regular color settings, which i assume are the settings that save to the mouse memory

really its just i dont understand why prism seems to want to take priority

isnt anyone in here familer with how this app works at all?

is there anyone in here that can help at all? or just give any sort of advice or suggestion?

as i mention i spent a lot of time trying to find an answer to this by googling but all i can find is stuff mostly related to other mice , or simply not related to saving the color in the mouse memory for this perticular mouse

why these settings are not clickable

i juist dont get it at all

can sombody at the very least explain why these settings are ghosted out and why its forcing me to use the prism settings when all want is to save a simple solid color settings to the mouse onboard memory so i dont have to have the app constantly running

either a solid color or the color/lights completely off

the mouse at the default settings are so bad, its contantly flashing diffent colors

i just need to know please why these settings are not availble to use the picture i post above, can anyone tell me why this is like this? i just dont remember how i was able to save the color in the mouse memory before

i bought this moouse about 3 months ago

when i was setting it up i was able to use these settings here

so when i exit the app the color setting saved

i needed to reinstall things today and lost the memory setting after so many months of it working fine, so when i reinstall the app the app reverts the mouse settings to flashing colors which i dont want at all

I don't work for SteelSeries, so I'm not the right person to ask. But I disagree with calling it a design flaw. I abused a pair of Arctis Pro wireless and they've never shown any signs of issues with the hinge

The point is that you should turn off prism control of the mouse, then you can edit it through Engine
