probably the most annoying thing of steelseries sonar is that you still have to sometimes manually set the audio output/mic devices even if you've set your Backup device switch.

It really should be a default to backup device switch order, or unless I've 'set to and lock until restart'

if i need to change the device it's on, and if any devices are added/removed, check if I already changed it in the app and 'locked it', or resort to the order of the 'backup device switch'...

otherwise with SteelSeries Sonar with its latest version, unplug a monitor, plug it back in, does it go back to the monitor output? nope.

as I don't play on the pc I don't know all the features in sonar but I know that there should be an option for chat and audio mix and also a volume limiter. Try to uncheck the volume limiter and also maybe the audiomix is low for music

the choppy audio sounds like a different problem tho. I experience this with my nova 5 aswell but not the nova 7

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

Again, thats not nearly the same thing. Steelseries specializes in PC hardware, and has 1 piece of software to maintain and use the hardware. They dont even deal with any sort of server backs up, as they discontinued Cloud Sync for no reason.

You could argue that it's 4 software products in one package actually. Engine, Sonar, Moments and aim trainer. Sonar is also designed to be used with any headset, not just SteelSeries headsets.
