@proud tiger looking online Roblox doesn't work very well for alot of people. It's not on the auto clip option for games either so there is bound to be problems. Last thing you can try is manually adding Roblox to your list of available games. If that doesn't work you might just not be able to capture Roblox. Look at the list GG shows of auto capturable games,

So unfortunately it has no noice cancelling for the microphone. At least on ps5. On pc you can adjust the level.

Btw if YOU don't want to hear whats happening in your room or your voice there is a sidetone option you can turn off. But thats only for you and not for the other people in the chat

i've seen a lot of reviews of a few top headsets and they also mentioned good mic noise cancelling for some on console. But for me it isnt important at all so I can't remember which one had good canceling. I only know that the arctis wasnt one of them

before you return your nova 5 turning down the mic sensitivity and adding a windscreen (if you have one) is worth a try

on ps5 they can make you louder in the party chat and the mic is maybe picking up less background noise

no, older steelseries headsets had onboard chatmix so they would show up as two outputs, but all the newer Nova headsets just show up as one output.

you assign them like that (though discord you'll probably need to change in the discord app)

you should also click that yellow banner in sonar to fix your outputs, the Sonar - Game output should be set as the main output in Windows

This is what i have for discord. Oddly enough when i click the auto set default the channels quickly go red and switch back. I feel like there is some interference with the apps (sound settings, GG, and discord) but im not sure how

So i DID figure out the chatmix issue. didnt realize i could just switch the MS edge tab over to any channel (im used to the old arctis 7 where you can assign 2 outputs). So now the only issue i have is getting my mic to work in discord chat, which for some reason only pics up when testing on any app.

Anyone know how to remove the apps to be routed and disable sonar?

you can turn off sonar in the settings (under "General" right at the top of the list)

once it's turned off, the sonar devices should disappear in windows, so any routed apps should revert

if they don't revert to outputting to your default windows output, you may need to go into the audio settings in windows and route them yourself.

i think the dac might be its own audio source so you have to set the output of the apps youre using to what the dac shows up as. so in games youd set the audio output to "steelseries dac" or whatever its named instead of your headset. for browser and other apps youd do the same thing but in sound mixer options in windows

for gaming it depends what type of games you play, i like fps footsteps for comp games and turn up the performance of spatial audio, for single player games you can look for the preset for the specific game or use the flat preset and turn up the immersion of spatial audio

you could add the fps footsteps or valorant preset as a favorite and tweak em till you like it so you can quickly switch to it, then add the flat preset adjusted how you like it for games that dont have presets

I searched for the 73 SS Setup.exe and ran it and went through the setup and when it rebooted up my Sonar was working again, I just had to reroute the audio channels

When this happens to me I go into the windows audio settings and change the input to default and then in Sonar I click "Auto Select"

and it should pick up the Mic channel again

for moments make sure clipping is enabled in these spots and disable both "if i dont save a clip for 30 mins" and if my system is idle for 30 mins. also check if your games appear in game detection

try setting the sonar input to mic in at rear panel, windows mightve auto switched the default to sonar, so sonar was trying to use itself lol

if any of these are turned on try turning them off and seeing if it picks up audio, also try disabling advanced voice activity, automatic gain control, and noise suppression in discord + make sure youre not on push to talk in discord lol
