Sadly my microphone on my Arctis 7 died. Ironically it happened about the same time I started to use Sonar, so I didn't know where the issue was. I tried diagnosing for 2 hours before confirming the microphone is dead with multiple computers.

Figured I'd share my unfortunate coincidence here, but it had a good run. Still great headphones, probably dedicated to my PS5 now.

How do you take a game OUT of a audio channel?

In order for apps to output to the other devices in Sonar, you'll need to route the apps to the specified device. Routing can be done in one of two ways:

1. Use the routing drag and drop interface underneath the audio outputs to simply move any apps playing sounds to the required output

2. Open the Windows sound device by going to Settings > Sound > App Volume and Device Preferences. From this settings menu you can use the dropdown to route any app.

If you are having issues with routing not working or apps moving back to another device after dragging them, you may need to check the app itself for any sound output settings. Some apps like Discord, Spotify, and Apple Music may need to have their outputs changed within their app settings rather than done through Sonar.

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

I have, multiple times (including getting the Apex Pro Gen 3)

Tax charged is at the standard 20% rate, which is included in the display price as is normal in the UK. For example: If you buy just the Apex Pro Gen 3 which is listed as £219.99, that's all you'll pay (175.99 item + 43.99 VAT @ 20%). I've never had to pay a single penny more than what was shown.

For delivery, I've never had any issues. You get shown a estimated delivery date during checkout, and it's always been spot on for me. The only time it wasn't was actually just last week when I got the Gen 3... Said would take 2 days, but it arrived super early, like next day "it's not even been 24 hours yet" early, which was awesome.

Zero. It's £219.99 for Gen 3, that's all you'll pay.

I've never had to pay any customs or additional fees to get it shipped here to Scotland. Zero shipping cost as well on orders over £39.01. Netherlands is in the EU, and the keyboard is over £135 in value, so the only tax that applies is VAT to import to the UK at the standard 20% rate.

As I've already said, VAT is already included in the prices you'll see on the store, only time you'll see the non-vat price is on the physical invoice that comes with your order, and that's the only tax that applies.

Not sure if you've ever ordered from them before, but this also applied back when they still shipped from Denmark. The only visible difference is what country is listed. Hopefully that clears things up a bit 🙂

Okay, so that complicates things.

The £135 figure for VAT only applies to purchases. A giveaway item would be a gift, which instead has a figure of £39.

If we keep assuming it's the Apex Pro Gen 3 full size, the value of the item as a gift goes from what you paid (£0), to its market value. That would still be £219.99, it's purchase price, and well over the £39 limit.

That means you do need to pay extra. Not the full price, but the standard VAT amount, which at 20% is about £43.99 (219.99 * 0.20). If its a bit higher than that, say by like £15-20, that's normal - UPS most likely paid the due VAT to the Coventry customs centre, and have passed on their fee + UPS' admin fee onto you. If they haven't, you'll get a letter from the the customs centre asking you to pay due VAT + the same fee, but obviously no UPS admin fee, and you'd need to arrange pickup and final mile delivery from them yourself with a carrier of your choice.

It's crap, but unfortunately it's how it is.

u should be able to use that to get it to do a factory reset to see if that works

1. Hold the media button (located under the scroll wheel) until you are the OLED menu.

2. Scroll down to "About" and press the scroll wheel down to select it.

3. Then scroll down to "Factory Reset". Press the scroll wheel to select it.

4. Select "Yes" and let your keyboard complete the process

My arctis nova 7 wireless stopped working, I was afk for a bit and it turned it self offline and now there is no sound (or mic). I updaed all driver, checked that its the correct settings in sound settings, in the volume settings, restarted the pc, restarted the headset, set the Bluetooth connection again, checked that in the GG software the correct headset is selected and now Im all out of ideas.

So having setup my boom arm, I can say that so far I’m pleased. It feels strong. What’s funny is that features that first didn’t make sense for me, did afterwards. Also because I have the mic hanging over my desk and close to my face, the RGB at the bottom adds a nice illumination on my hands.

Check task manager and see what apps you have running and see if any are familiar that may be controlling rgb for your keyboard

Also try unplugging it and plugging it back in both may work
