PSA if you cant hear sound out of your Steelseires headset it may be that you need to disable other redundant audio devices like your monitor. even if the headset is defult your monitor's sound driver will interfear

this might be caused by sonar's device fallback triggering and switching sonar's outputs to the monitor or other devices. if you don't use fallback then it's probably best to turn it off entirely

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

In order for apps to output to the other devices in Sonar, you'll need to route the apps to the specified device. Routing can be done in one of two ways:

1. Use the routing drag and drop interface underneath the audio outputs to simply move any apps playing sounds to the required output

2. Open the Windows sound device by going to Settings > Sound > App Volume and Device Preferences. From this settings menu you can use the dropdown to route any app.

If you are having issues with routing not working or apps moving back to another device after dragging them, you may need to check the app itself for any sound output settings. Some apps like Discord, Spotify, and Apple Music may need to have their outputs changed within their app settings rather than done through Sonar.

I was wondering if I get the PC basestation, can I have audio output to two separate computers?
Reason I am asking is due to the rear of the module saying USB 1 & 2.

When trying this with the xbox basestation, it does not output two computer sources to the nova pro wireless.
any help is super appreciated. trying to streamline my setup and need to have two audio sources at the same time,
but running one through bluetooth and the other a wireless connection is not optimal to me.

the other version would have the same limitation. only one of the USB sources can be used at a given moment. if you want to hear two inputs together, you'd either want to use the bluetooth connection to a device, or use a 3.5mm cable to have one of the inputs go in to the line in.

Hey. I have a Steelseries Arctis Nova 7 Wireless, and the microphone is giving constant feedback through the headset speakers. How can I disable this GOD MODE feature?
The sound quality is also rather bad, where a lot of the time the headset just spazzes out and gives me SCHZSCHZHCZZ, this especially happens with deeper - basslike sounds or if there are a lot of different sound levels at the same time.
Is there a fix for this?

Certainly, or just troubleshoot and restart a bunch of times and turning them on and off until everything works almost seamlessly for some weeks or 2 months if I'm blessed, until the next hiccup. While with hyperx for example is plug and play never think about it ever again. But much less features. And I love the steelseries features! I love the volume regulation between apps, and the profiles and the customization. I guess it comes at a price is what I'm saying... Sorry for the rant. Everything is solved after 30 min of restarts and fiddling around

the other thing i was hope to ask was about the onboard memory, i think i would rather not run the software in the background, epscially since it seems very bloated and constnatly connected to the site to show ads , products ,etc

again i dont mind using it without the app, but is it possible to disable to rgb and have it save that while not using the ap? i would like to use the colors, but i dont like the constant flashing and was wondering if there was way to just either set it to one color or off while not using the app?

is anyone else using voicemod and sonar and sonar always sets all outputs to some voicemod lines after restarting? Its just a few clicks but so annoying

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

Does anybody know if there's really much difference between the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless versions for xbox/playstation if I'm simply using it on a PC anyway?

both say they're still compatible, but the playstation version says it's specifically designed for both?

I can use Voicemod to discord on my Mac to change my voice and soundboard etc. is there a way to route the audio from Mac to PS5 so I can use the sound effects in PS5 game chat? Transferring the discord to PS5 doesn’t use the mic from the Mac.

SteelSeries GG needs a new update where it stops automatically changing the mix outputs for the sounds.
after everytime i start my PC, GG just changes the audio output from my SS Headset to the TV sound output and changing the MIC to the webcam instead from THEIR OWN mic.
