My Arctis 7 is getting old (like reaaaaally old) and its transmitter is half broken, tldr : I need to change, it's time. The problem is : I don't have USB-C port on my PC and I do not plan to buy a new computer in the next few lives for the moment (as it's one year old xD), so I need a Steelseries Headset that does NOT require USB-C port to run properly. I really liked the transmitter on the Arctis 7, is there any headset that can be used on my computer please ?

even though steelseries products have USB-C nowadays, they're still secretly USB 2.0 speeds/power. if you look at the cables that come with them, the USB A side doesn't have all the extra prongs for USB 3.0. And if you look at the manual, the power draw is rated at USB 2.0 power levels.

so you should be totally fine using it on your PC. most of the USB-C headsets come with USB-A adapters.

you should be OK with any of those USB ports, but again, the headsets come with USB-C to USB-A adapters, so you shouldn't need to buy anything extra (unless you don't like form factor of the adapter cable)

Oh thank you, I had a webcam that was only USB-C and it was a pain to solve the problem (I found out later that the problem was in the device, not the adaptateur thing)

But i'm still effraid by these USB-C slots haha

Hi i have apex pro mini and wanted to buy tkl so i bought it i loved it so much i had it for 2 days then it suddently started spamming random keys i have tried taking the rapid trigger off and everything else nothing helps THEN i switched back to apex pro mini and now my W A S D are not working in fortnite the game doesent like detect that i press the keys what tf can i do????

oh I stopped using sonar with my headset because sonar always gives me issues when I update my audio drivers back then.

but I did fix that issue later on tho

But im using a gamedac and having it filter through the dac and then software equalizer just didnt seem right in my head

You can try the smiley for media on sonar like music if you want lol, basically tunes up the bass while keeping the mid freq lower and higher freq slightly higher.

@crimson silo I would make sure you have all keys selected and then try choosing another effect under "Presets" or "Effects"

when selecting you get a box like that, just cause when I was looking at your screenshot it looked like you only had some keys selected and set to actuation effect mode

I made a very tough choice between the PD200X mic and the Rode NT USB, my friend had the rode and it sounded great and my bf had the PD200X which also sounded very good too.

I opted for the PD200X due to its quality being great for the price.

Hello, I have an issue with the Sonar function. when I share my entire screen on discord, people can hear their voices from the share screen ( without sonar they don't). Do you have a suggestion ?

So for months I started having a problem where game audio and chat audio stopped working together. Like if I set discord output to Arctis 7 Chat and my game to Arctis 7 Game it would just cut out all audio together unless it was on the same channel.

After trying and giving up I finally found out the issue was with Windows Audio Enhancements. Just got into Sound device properties and disable them for both Arctis 7 Chat AND Game. If you're still having some issues where audio sounds crackly, just adjust the frequency on each one to a reccomended level (Game is at 2 Channel 32000Hz, Chat is at 1 channel 22050 Hz for me)

Im puzzeled on why my old prism xl mouse pad is dim on one side, I did an experiment with the new one and I turned one zone off but the other side still has dim light indicating its reflecting onto it

which makes me think something is blocking the light on the old mouse pad

Middle one is with both zones turned on and the other 2 is zone 1 disabled on one and zone 2 disabled for the other image. @patent anchor

with the older mouse pad the left side being the opposite is dim, even the mid section is dimmer than it should be
