I would say yes to that.. You can choose whichever audio source in Sonar but you don't have to use them! But then you need to go into Volume mixer in Windows and set which source you wanna use for games/apps/programs

But if you do it right in Sonar it's such a great way to get good EQ tunes by either making them yourself or download from the community in #1209138827571232819

Disable the Media and Aux channel if you don't want to use them? Or disable Sonar all together if you don't want to use it. The VADs are literally required for it to work :)

you have to switch to the headphones audio channel everytime you boot up your pc, that way the clips you capture will also have chat audio

it defaults to gaming channel so that every new game you launch is automatically set to it

Hey all, whenever my Arctis Nova Pro wireless turns off and on, it resets the default input to pro personal 1. Any ideas why this is happening?

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

Many SteelSeries headsets come with Sidetone, which allow you to hear yourself through the headset’s mic for better clarity when talking.

For most headsets, the volume of the Sidetone can be lowered in SteelSeries Engine, which is part of GG. GG can be downloaded here: https://steelseries.com/gg

If you have a “Playstation” version of a headset (such as the Arctis Nova 7P) then your headset may have a physical wheel on the headset for turning the sidetone down.

For analog headsets that use the 3.5mm headphone port, sidetone may be generated by your on-board audio devices. Please refer to your computer manufacturer’s support for more help

i think the way it works is that windows actually says if the lock is on/off, and then tells the keyboard that it's on. so you'd probably need to turn it off either by:

1. using the on-screen keyboard built into windows to turn it off (might need to go into the options to turn on the numpad)
2. using engine to bind a key to scroll lock. (this might be a good use of the meta layer)

alternatively, you can just go into the menu and go to display > display icons > off to turn off all the icons like the config indicator or the rapid trigger icon

yo i need help my headset was completely fine and then randomly i saw disconnecting on a voicemod thing and now my headset isnt working, i just now got it so its working again however its not the normal "gaming" audio its under the hands free thing and the sound quality is very bad does anybody know how to get the gaming thing back and let me use it again

the mic isnt producing sound in calls but when i blow into my mic it echos back out at me through my headset
