Anyone had this issue with their Arctis 7x (or similar headset?) - Random half-a-second volume drops. Happens on both PC and PS5 using the USB-C dongle, so thankfully not my PC causing the issue.

Audio will play normally then suddenly halve in volume for half a second then return to normal.

Weirdly the issue disappears if I set the USB Dongle to 'Xbox' mode.

hey, can i get support. Have an arctic series nova 7, 2 years now. Today randomly it wont get sound over, trying to play apex lol.

Reset device, PC, and tried hard resetting with paperclip under left side cushion. When i reset PC 1/34 times i tried the sound fixed, then cut out within 5 mins.

since I got my Nova 7 I've noticed that after a certain amount of restarts/shutdowns, my headset gets louder in a very ear-hurting way especially with S, for example, it literally pierces my eardrums lol, but it was an easy fix just unplug/replug the dongle and you can hear the headset gets quieter and more comfortable
Left my PC on and went to sleep, woke up, and noticed GG priorities my monitor (it was the 1st device in the priority list so I guess an update dropped while I was asleep) changed it back to Nova 7 then i restarted my PC (windows update) and that restart caused the sound thing but now I can't fix it by unplugging
If anyone can help please would be appreciated

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

It randomly turns off, whether charging or not charging at the most random times. If you search Arctis 9 in the discord here you can see many people have the disconnecting issues. The LED issue as well doesn't notify either like it says. The charging says it lasts a long time but it's shorter than the Arctis 7. The random shut off/disconnecting is the biggest issue and one of the worst headphones ya'll have had. Many people have issues and the same issues with it

as you clearly have a hardware fault and can produce the original receipt if not and you know what day you purchased it card or cash then they will have a backup receipt they need for their record

@plain valleyexit it completely uninstall it download and install ccleaner free version then open the registry part scan it and fix all but make sure you save a backup of the registry when it prompts you keep scanning and fixing until there is nothing else to fix ( you only have to save the registry the first time once done reboot reinstall gg with a fresh copy downloaded from steelseries.com

hopefully you can then login and setup sonar

Hello, I need help with my Arctis Pro Wireless headset

I came to turn it off yesterday after a regular gaming session, but the power button did not respond so I just took out the battery and put it in and went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning, I discovered that the power button just completly stopped working. The headset itself can still work with a 3.5mm headphone jack and both of my batteries are fully loaded with no issues, but the headset power button just does not respond.

My Arctis Pro Wireless headset is 3 years old at this point, I thought I would buy the Nova Pro Wireless but I wanna know if it's a FUBAR issue or if I could possibly fix my headset

I need help from an expert with the program. I have a problem where, when I turn off the device and turn it back on, the sound comes from the screen, and I have to reset the settings to get the sound to come out of the headphones. Additionally, the program does not always differentiate between the chat sound and the media sound. Also, sometimes when recording a clip, the microphone sound does not appear in the recording. If anyone knows the solution, please let me know.

I have the same problem. Whenever I turn off my headphones (or turn off computer and turn back on) GG reverts the default sound to my screen ASUS, and I have to manually change it back to the headphones. It's very annoying.

When you uninstall GG, reboot.

Navigate to: C:\ProgramData\SteelSeries and delete anything there.
Go to File Explorer type this in to the navigation bar: %appdata%
Then delete steelseries-gg-client
Then reboot (just in case I suppose) and reinstall GG. See if that works

Hi hi everyone. I have an issue I use a TV as a PC monitor, my last TV a Hisense I had no issues, however I recently bought a Samsung, and sonar stopped working. I have no idea why, I tried what I could and nothing works, I don't even understand the issue, how does the TV affect sonar if it's just a monitor!

Hi hi everyone. I have an issue I use a TV as a PC monitor, my last TV a Hisense I had no issues, however I recently bought a Samsung, and sonar stopped working. I have no idea why, I tried what I could and nothing works, I don't even understand the issue, how does the TV affect sonar if it's just a monitor!

I just bought the apex pro 2023 tkl two days ago, there was a firmware update I installed yesterday. Since the firmware update in addition the breathing rgb id originally set up that is actively going, it reacts each time I press a key with another ripple effect of bright cyan.

Is this a feature or a bug? Cause I love it and want to customize it further, but don't know where or how to keep the reactive layer in over the active layer

plugging in and unplugging the headset via USB-C reduced the lag, i think its something about when switching from bluetooth to 2.4 GHz

ive been having an issue where my audio only comes out of the left side of my headphones, im using steelseries gg to control audio for OBS because i stream. when i test my audio on anything other than steelseries gg the audio comes out of both like normal and have also checked if mono was ticked on OBS. any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated!! 🙂

if a lot comes up i want you to close ccleaner and create a restore point

once you create a restore point

then i want you to do review and fix it will come up with a prompt to backup registry which i want you to do then once you have backed up you can click fix all

then close and click rescan

then review and fix this time no backup you only need to backup registry once

keep doing that till there is nothing to fix then close ccleaner and reboot

then reinstall gg

SteelSeries Arctis 5 microphone is too quiet when you speak with the mic on the side of your mouth,
you have to talk directly in the front but its too short to do that

you can make it louder with sonar but at the cost of massive latency
