Nah, you nailed it. Shouldn't be anything else. You MIGHT have to re-do your mouse settings, but if you were using the app to do the settings, it should just keep it rolling

I did that with my Steelseries Arctis 9X headset. Warrantied it out, connected the new one, and it retained all the settings and even allowed me to save them to the onboard memory

I unfortunately don't seem to have a usb-c on the back of my computer. However, I got my mac and confirmed that that dongle's LED was working. Plugged my windows dongle in and could hear my headset connect, but still no LED. I think LED is just fried

both work just fine as far as connectivity, just the indication LED is dead on one. It's not a huge loss tbh, the LED was going from lit to more brightly lit when connected, so not really useful to tell state at a glance

When it should be a simple easy fix to change switches even if they make it hard, desokdering and soldering the new switches on would be viable I guess but the omnipoint switches are like nowhere to be found, for being the most expensive keyboard they offer, with the headline being ( the best keyboard in the world) or fastest whatever.

Plus plus, the normal non omnipoint on the board such as the f1 -12 keys are just the red normal switches they sell and on the back of the board they have two metal soldering points holding them on there and these omnipoint don’t seem to have any or some more intricate way of connecting them so you literally can’t fix it even if you want to I don’t know what do you guys think

I suppose I don’t know, that’s why I want your opinions, I had gotten water onto the board and immediately tried to drain it and dry it with a fan and after two weeks of drying it’s the same issue, I have my gg settings to all white and when I press a key it highlights it red just for testing purposes, and when I turn my board on the tab key keeps registering so everything is messing up hardcore but the thing is the white light isn’t turning red for the key leds, so it’s a little confusing

Like what I mean is the tab key is registering endlessly but the specific key isn’t highlighted in red like it’s being pressed

Hello, I need help with Sonar, after turning on the computer, in the GG application in the sonar tab, the playback settings for sound output change - Blue yeti (microphone). I cannot turn off the audio output itself in the Windows panel, because then the Blue application and presets stop working. sound for the microphone. The top you see the two soldering spots those are for normal keys. But the omnipoint keys don’t have the soldering spots and I don’t know how to remove them

Like for example taking esc key out would just be melt those two big circles and pull it out but for the tab key and all the others the soldering spots aren’t there

I think he needed to completely uninstall steelseries.gg, clear the cache (yes it stays after uninstall) and then make sure all of the drivers for steelseries are completely removed, then reboot the PC.... I do have some other fixes but I cant see your screen so I can't tell...

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

you can't turn that off. if sonar is on then it'll set itself as the windows default no matter what and enable all VADs as part of the booting process.

you make a new software and put 7.1 audio in it and then ruin it like this

that's a limitation of your recording software. most recording apps can handle multiple audio streams just fine, it's just the basic ones like nvidia are limited to only one audio stream. moments is built into GG and it can not only record game/chat as separate devices, the editor even lets you change the volume later in case your friends were too loud in discord or said something you'd want to remove later.

regardless of all that, if you really are just limited to one audio stream in your recording app, you can just turn on streamer mode in Sonar and then have your recording app just record the "stream" output

Moments messes up with PC's performance while playing and I don't really know if it still has it but when I first checked it there's a unnecessary gif playing in recordings from Moments which advertises Steelseries GG.

yeah, the confusing thing is that the volume key commands aren't on the number keys, they're on the B/N/M keys. so if they were working, then it was probably some other app doing it and not the keyboard itself.

that's coz you may have riot vanguard running, the driver may not have installed correctly, you may need to restart .gg with admin permissions, IF none of that works, do a clean install of .GG by uninstalling it and clearing the cache (%appdata%) afterwards, and also from C program files

Hello everyone. My Arctis 1 headset will not turn on any more. Battery is fully charged, and the only thing that works is resetting the headset each time I want to turn it on. Also, I can't turn them off, so I have to let it turn itself off after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Also, Sonar really sucks. It always switches the output to my soundcard.

I just got this app, I had to restart my pc and that fixed the issue. You can also go into the general settings and disable sonar and then turn it back on that might fix it

Does anyone know how to completely get rid of an app that I moved into the mic section? I've restarted my pc and disabled it but now its created a duplicate of the app and then old one is still there. To add on to this I have also created a new account and it had the same thing already loaded in there from my other one. Going to try and uninstall and download it again to see if that fixes the problem

For @everyone whom has problems with Steelseries GG and anything related to sound. Please, please, refer to this guy @radiant gorge : they're amazing. They're cool, funny and most of all will SOLVE your problems as they solved mine and those of many others. They won't ask for anything, and will just use their time to help you. I've asked for help in here and open a ticket on Steelseries website, litterally wasting a MONTH to ends up getting answer to ask for a refound; and in just an hour @radiant gorge helped me solve what the manufactorer couldn't. I have recently bought the Arctis nova pro headsets and everything was fine for about the 1st week but now the Sonar audiochannels have suddenly stopped working, I only get sound output before I route apps to other channels or if I set all to play on default headphones channel. Also sounds work if I turn of Sonar but then I don't get 3d sound etc..

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

some apps like Discord have their own audio output settings, so you need to go into the settings and change your discord output to be "Sonar - Chat"

once it's in the chat device you can enable it to be audible on stream/personal mix with the icons above the volume bars

I bought steelseries arctis nova 7. The normal microphone of the headset works, but the sonar microphone does not work. It appears as a fault on the gg software. I cannot use the sonar microphone in any game. I would be happy if you help me.

umm not really, everyone's PC is different, and there is a LOT of different software that clashes with sonar in such a way that it prevents the drivers from even being able to be used, I will have to literally see your screen and go through all of the known problems which I have a list of, I have not had a single audio issue which I haven't been able to fix in the past 5 days, I am not able to type everything out as it would literally take half a day and people wouldn't read it anyway so yeah it will be a lot easier and a lot faaster for me to just look at your screen and tell you what to click

not really, the DAC and headset are designed to run at a very specific sample rate and depth, this means that if it couldn't achieve these it probably wouldn't be getting enough power to even turn on or more importantly you wouldnt be getting any sound at all (the driver would just behave erratically), since the USB headers are all connected to your MOBO you should be absolutely fine in any that are 3.0

HOWEVER

from what I'm reading, connecting to USB with CPU connection, can be beneficial to avoid additional "hops" before data is transfered from MOBO to CPU, so in theory, data stream should be faster

i will say one of the safest way to guarantee yourself no audio problems at all is to use a Samsung type c to type c, they're designed to enable transfers of massive ammounts of data at incredible speeds, so 96000hz at 2.4 ghz

ummm I would wager probably not, BUT c to c would be the absolute best way to ensure no problems, the difference we're talking here is so small that it wouldn't make a difference unless you were playing heavy metal guitar, through an interface from an amp sim looped BACK into the interface and then routed through your discord output...... then you would notice the latency lol

you want to play competitive FPS I would say you just straight up NEED to use Sonar, anyone who disagrees is either an idiot or is bad at their game, wicked cushions: hell yeah that's a straight baller move, it's what im doin when i get paid, also, huge pointer, make sure that the EQ and AI noise cancellation are off for steelseries sonar - chat: discord already has its own added BS, you don't wanna filter more of your chat out otherwise you may end up missing callouts...
the reason this headset is so good isn't just one thing, it's lots of little things done well: two batteries, bluetooth, ANC, surround sidetone (transparency), fly mute, bendy mic, and an ok headband, if the entire sonar was just a thing for the dac, I would have literally no complaints, and neither would anyone else, but they had to add moments and a random 3d aim trainer?? awful stuff

oh yeah and the line in/out on the back of the box is singlehandedly one of the best features I have ever seen on any gaming accessory, ever.

sonar is opt-in too. in fact not many people know that you can skip login for GG and just use engine only for device changes
