If you do have a decent build then you may want to change out the thermal paste and apply a new layer, however there are many varibles to what will affect fps

hmm, probably not, i think all the "lock" keys are together so I assume if the feature is turned on it would show it already, so if you don't see it then i don't think it's a feature? i guess it wouldn't hurt to double check in the oLED menu's settings

I already know what the exact problem is. Proptype audio works just fine when my sample rate is set too 48 kHz. But inorder to do that sonar needs to be off which leads to problems with my mic picking up way more than any other mic ive had. So i need either a way to implement a noise gate without sonar, or a way to change to 48k sample rate while i use sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

nah, some apps you need to edit within the app because they ignore changes in sonar/windows

In order for apps to output to the other devices in Sonar, you'll need to route the apps to the specified device. Routing can be done in one of two ways:

1. Use the routing drag and drop interface underneath the audio outputs to simply move any apps playing sounds to the required output

2. Open the Windows sound device by going to Settings > Sound > App Volume and Device Preferences. From this settings menu you can use the dropdown to route any app.

If you are having issues with routing not working or apps moving back to another device after dragging them, you may need to check the app itself for any sound output settings. Some apps like Discord, Spotify, and Apple Music may need to have their outputs changed within their app settings rather than done through Sonar.

If you’re on PC do a full uninstall of sonar GG + remove any of the steel series folders. Remove the game DAC + headset. Reboot the pc. Then go ahead plug in your game DAC + headset directly so it’s both connected via usbc to the computer. Then install a fresh copy of GG and pray a little.

Hi all! I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but today I "upgraded" my headset from the Arctis 5 to the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless... And despite being many years older the audio and mic quality of the Arctis 5 is just better. I've messed with a ton of the settings in the SteelSeries GG app, but just couldn't get it to sound great or receive nicely.

unless you use the switch on the bottom to turn it off, the mouse will still need to use some power to "listen" for a wakeup command like moving it or pressing buttons.

though that usage definitely should be super minimal

I think that's just the way the mouse reports the battery. could just be that power cycling it makes it recheck the battery and make a new battery level estimation. if you lose 5% every time you cycle then that's an issue, but having the battery level readjust a few percent isn't that bad.

Understandable yeah. Honestly i would make that if i could. But its a copy paste part from Google im pretty sure. I dont think i can change it but i never tried using it so id have to see. When it comes to sonar u can tell me what u want but for me the easiest way to actually use it is, first to go settings into backup device switch disable all there, en under Sonar put it in streamer mode select the input - mic, the stream- colective all sonds, and the headset. all that is under headset u can hear in headset, all u see under stream is what stream hears. u check volume n all n good. i honestly dont know how to do it without the streamer mode on, but i guess u can just set it up n than disable streamer mode n it works aswell

I did figure out how to uninstall v60 and reinstall v58 and block automatic updates to the broken version... Posted the guide and got chewed out b/c the old versions have security issues... I've been using the Arctis Nova Pro wireless for a while now with no issues, but recently the mute button when pressed (unmuted) has started to mute and unmute the headset microphone and make that annoying beep noise every time. It sometimes won't do it for a while once I start up my computer, but after a little while it will eventually start doing it again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. used to have steelseries headphones years ago, switched to other brands like corsair, razer and others...
bought arctic 7 headphones since i thought steelseries was good.... well, its not.
software is the worst ive ever seen, sonar doesnt function properly half of the time, the 2 volume wheels are so sensitive that when a fly flies past it might change the volume...

older keyboards like that have on-board lighting. so if prism is on it'll disable and override the on-board stuff, but if they turn off the device in prism then they can go back to using the on-board illumination
