basically i had an msi laptop and swapped to a new dell. on the old laptop i used gg with my arctis nova 7 using the wireless dongle and everything was fine. now, i have this brand new latop, updated drivers, GG installed, it detects my arctis nova 7, i can adjust it in the settings and see it in the engine etc. i can see the volume going off when i try to play anything, but no audio to headphones. if i play audio directly to the headphones they work, but nothing through GG

i've restarted, ive checked for all driver updates, ive disabled the mic, i'm not using it on bluetooth so no changes to bluetooth settings matter. ive uninstalled and reinstalled the software. ive uninstalled and reinstalled the arctis drivers. i've tried to use anything but the acrtis and it cant seem to route any audio to anything. i've tried to use it wired, bluetooth, and with the dongle, and it cant figure it out

for at least some period of time i couldnt get the arctis to do anything, evne trying to play youtube straight to it i woiuld get a weird error about drivers not working even tho windows troubleshooter said i was all updated and fine

it seems entirely hit or miss on if i can get any sound from them at all thru this pc. i can use them bluetooth thru phone just fine

i have also done the reset thru the button on the headphones themselves, while uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and software on the pc

i hear the beeps when connecting and disconnecting. its got full battery

i just cannot get a single tiny bit of audio from the software on this pc

i really hope someone can help because i really enjoyed using this software on my previous laptop. being able to adjust the levels was super helpful, i got these headphones specifically for the chat vs game volume wheel, and being able to use it for my phones bluetooth and calls while also using it on my pc at the same time was super nice. i cant find another headset or software like it (and nahimic is not compatible with this laptop, so i cant even default back to that) so i'm kinda desperate to get this workin 😦

Anyone experienced losing sound after updating nvidia graphic drivers? Headset is arctis nova pro wireless. It occurs every driver update. The only source I get sound from is Headphones whilst Steelseries Sonar - Gaming, Chat and the other functions mute it. Microphone won't work either. This is a persistent bug that seems to sort itself out after a while. No matter what I do, restarting PC, programs, yanking USBs out, power off headset etc. Nothing seems to work until it randomly comes back with sound. I have the latest firmware but this was a problem before firmware update as well.

I might be experiencing the same sort of thing. I'll restart my PC, boot up SteelSeries and everything works fine. After a while though, maybe after my PC goes to screen save or something my Mic Input cant be found. I have to restart my PC to get it working properly again. if it's the arctis 7+, then it would come with these cables. in theory you'd only need to plug in the USB-C dongle for it to work, but if you don't have any USB-C ports, then you'd also need to use the USB-A to USB-C adapter

Hi i have a new issue with the GG software where i can no longer go into windows and switch my output device to my speakers. Now when i switch nothing happens and sound continues to play through the headphones. I am also met with a prompt on the GG app that says "Set Sonar devices as your default audio devices in your windows sound settings"

if you are using sonar, go to steelseries GG and manually set your headphones for every sonar profile in the GG software.
