Sonar doesn't do that? That's normally a part of the headset, a feature called sidetone

For most headsets, the volume of the Sidetone can be lowered in SteelSeries Engine, which is part of GG. GG can be downloaded here: https://steelseries.com/gg

yeah, if you're just capturing the audio device it's gonna pick up everything. the sliders in sonar control the output to your selected devices, not the audio device

Why would you not? ESDF is where your hands are to type too, so you never have to move them. Plus more keys are accessible.

It's a bit in the cheaper end and has "hybrid" mechanical switches but still has the OLED screen of the more expensive ones. I would say it's all about preference. If you don't wanna go higher price wise and you like blue switches it might be a good fit for you. But I would suggest to check reviews and make your own opinion on it :)

The only real issues I've heard about is RT (not applicable here) and dead blue LEDs but you should be fine to RMA for that

this is the exact reason, the blue leds die very often, and no I'm sure they don't accept RMA's for that. Stabilizers are also mediocre at best.

I just wanna say whoever designed the whole clipping thing is amazing. From the option to select export size, being able to right click drag to select multiple clips and even having a little mark in the progress bar that tells you where you previously saved a clip. Its the little things 🫡

Hopefully someone here could help me out or had a simillar problem. Since today discord automatically lower people their voices / turns them harder and it keep switching all the time when the person is talking. Its just not 1 specific person, its the whole call. I checked with other sounds stuff like music / youtube etc and only discord is doing this. Also the mute / unmute sound is really low and even If I put it at is highest, it doesnt change anything or atleast not much. Anyone knows a possible solution?

Its only on the client of discord and in the app it keeps cutting off. I normaly have my Discord under 'Chat' in Sonar. Also when I drag it around with the same setting its way lower in 'Chat' than in any other category

1. Try restarting your PC to see if this fixes the issue.
2. This could be an issue when updating Discord because sometimes it will reconfigure your settings and set them back to default — recheck your settings to make sure they are right, alternatively uninstall and reinstall Discord.

if you are using sonar, this could be a fix. Just switch the playback from your monitor to headset. It seems this new update set everybody's default to their monitor and most monitors don't have audio, so people can't even hear audio at all.

probably since a friend of mine and myself are having this issue every update. After every driver update of nvidia geforce experience it switches back the sonar settings to the monitor, even when its disabled -> reconfigure after every driver update and dont get me started on the other issues of Steelseries GG. as an apex mini user i feel like tkl is the sweet spot but if you’re not gonna miss the extra keys and you can get used to using the steelseries/fn key for them id go with the mini

You can pretty easily test going from 100% to TKL. Take some masking tape or plastic wrap or something (nothing that damages the keyboard obviously) and cover the numpad part of the keyboard and see if you miss having it.

You can also remove the key caps if it has that option

I believe for most steelseries wireless headsets, they do not support audio over USB and do not show as connected in Engine when charging over the cable. if you want it to show in engine, you generally need to connect the dongle and have the headset communicate over the dongle.

My Arctis 9 suddenly stopped working and here is what happens when I turn it on.

When it is not connected to the USB charger, the LED lights up red for a second and disappears when I try to turn it on.

When it is connected to the USB charger, it shows a solid green ( not blinking)

When I try to pair them through the SteelSeries GG Engine, it shows that both transmitter and the headset are connected but when pairing, I get the message Device pairing failed

The audio works fine with the 3.5mm jack

I am not sure if the headset is just dead or it is a firmware issue. I tried hard resetting, updating drivers and the firmware though the engine. I would be very thankful for some advice on what to do.

Something is wrong with my sonar software.
The way it used to work was this.

1. I turn on headset, then sonar switches sound to the headset automatically.
2. I turn off headset, then sonar switches sound back to my external speakers.

But for some reason, now it's doing this.

1. I turn on headset, sonar switches sound to my monitor speakers, and I have to go manually set it to the headset.

when you first buy it the battery will last 2 to 3 days of 3-4 hours of usage

now after 2 years of using they last a good 6-7 hours

Bought a MIDI at Walmart last week and have been deving since then. Didn't know what to do with so many knobs until SteelSeries Sonar popped into my head. Took a bit of work, but now I can control each channel from MyMIDI.

The code is written in Rust. You can find the code here as well as an overview of how to customize it yourself. You can play music in games like Genshin Impact using the keys if you map them out.

Hello, I need some help. I'm new to SteelSeries audio products, and I bought the SteelSeries Nova Pro Wireless headphones. I'm trying them on the game Metro Exodus (Xbox Series X), and I'm having an issue with the depth/clearness of the sound in the game. I have Dolby Atmos Detailed and DAC set to flat. Can you advise me on anything? I'm coming from the Blackshark V2 Pro (older version).

Their is a fault with the recent update in which many of us are having. This could be linked to that.

I also had a few problems lately.

1. Moments capture laggy.
2. Audio devices resetting on computer restart.
3. Now the issue I'm having is the same as above, where it keeps defaulting to my monitor audio and it literally doesn't allow me to select anything else. Unless I disallow apps from using that audio device.

• I found that using the device priority list fixes this somewhat. But it only changes which default audio to use. The function where it switches to the next ranked audio is inexistent. Or it just defaults to the wrong audio again.

It honestly looks like the early access device priority list is the thing thats fucking it up for me
