Hi Df! That is normal with the latest version of Windows, in my Windows 11 system even when WiFi is enabled. Your question does justice: Why the heck? Well, looks like Microsoft simplified things and just shows one icon from now on.

It's correct, showing as it should be.

To find out which, right-click that icon and choose: "Network and internet settings" There it will give you a window showing exactly what is connected and what is not.

Try even a different USB port, if you want to have the firmware re-installed to Windows.

I'll give it a go. Always had it plugged into the either one of the front USB ports on the case but I'll try plug it into the back. I do usually fiund when I power the PC up from sleep or from Shutdown it says it malfunctioned and I have to unplug and plug it back in.

I tried it plugging into the Keyboard (Apex 7) and into a USB (2.0) on the back of the PC but neither looks to have fixed it. The second I switch the game (Dayz in this case) to the Game profile from Aux I can't hear it. II'd like to note that the output is set to the headset

Yeah this is why I don't do sleep on my gaming system. I either shut down or leave it fully powered on for days until shut down depending on its tasks. Most of my gaming friends have issues after stand-by. I do not recommend stand by unless its a business laptop.

If you're doing the restart that's really proper:

Unplug the headphones.
Restart.
Once logged in and it has loaded in, plug in the headset to the back USB.

Please uninstall it, restart (not shut down) computer, after restart - re-install the application. I advise downloading the app new from Steelseries website to ensure its the up-to-date latest version. Then let us know if its fixed.

Question for you - When using my headset for my computer the audio frequently plays through my laptop speaker instead of through my headset (though my headset is set as the default audio device). I just figured out that disabling Sonar allows the audio to play through my headset - any ideas what I need to fix/adjust to allow the audio to play though my headset with Sonar enabled??

Hit Windows key +R, and type Devmgmt.msc and press Enter, next let us know what is says for your sound card under Sound, video & game controllers. Here you can see mine.

It's electronics, there will always be people with issues. In my experience the majority is user error with people not knowing how to use the product, then there's people who's abused and broken the product and then there's people who has a faulty unit

#

You'd be surprised how many people I've had claim they have no sound in their headset saying it's broken, when the actual problem is that they setup their computer to send the sound to their monitor

Try turning rapid trigger off, if that doesn't help try adjusting the actuation point to be less sensitive. But first of all; make a #official-support ticket

Hey all, I just recently bought Artics Nova Pro Wireless for PC and Playstation (using for PC).
However is seems the base station wont charge the battery packs and 1 of the battery packs has no juice at all.

Currently I am using 1 pack and charging that pack through the headset since the base station will not charge it. The other pack wont charge anywhere.

Any help/input is greatly appreciated, as steel series customer service has left me high and dry since the 8th.

It appears and the Sonar app is picking up the audio. I see the bar moving when I speak, however if I try to speak in game (With the Sonar Microphone selected) nothing comes out. I have to go back to my regular microphone option in the game settings for my microphone to work.

i have arctis 3 and recently my mic just stopped working, i thought it was a cable issue, changed it and it didnt helped, the audio works perfectly and windows and apps are detecting mic as it should. Found out that the mic just picking sound from my pc like if im watching youtube video it goes through the mic but the mic not picking my voice, tried update drivers and everything else from the internet but nothing helped. any ideas?

My Artics 5 do not work correctly when plugged into USB 3.0. The audio is extremely scratchy and is unable to be used; at all. 3.5mm jack it works fine. I also know that my Artics 5 also work on another PC that has USB 2.0, however this PC is only 3.0

I setup Device Priority List in GG, just removing everything but my headset and my speakers, and now it will succesfully switch away from my Nova Pro Wireless but never switch back. Prior to Device Priority List everything was working well, automatically switching if the headset was powered off, and switching back when powered on. Is this a known issue? Any workarounds?

For most headsets, the volume of the Sidetone can be lowered in SteelSeries Engine, which is part of GG. GG can be downloaded here: https://steelseries.com/gg

If you have a “Playstation” version of a headset (such as the Arctis Nova 7P) then your headset may have a physical wheel on the headset for turning the sidetone down.

For analog headsets that use the 3.5mm headphone port, sidetone may be generated by your on-board audio devices. Please refer to your computer manufacturer’s support for more help
