That's not a USB headset, so it depends on how it's connected. First step is making sure that whatever audio device it's connected to works in Windows

Then you should be able to use it in Sonar

Might be a disabled device in Windows

was having problems with Nova Pro Wireless starting to get artifacts and crackling/distortion after a few minutes. The gaming laptop im using has a 10th gen intel that was power limiting and thermal throttling. Once I unlocked the bios on the laptop to undervolt and underclock the cpu and got my thermals in order, have not had the problem occur in 2-3 days.

If you go to Engine > Config > Audio > Mic Sidetone and set that to Off you won't hear yourself anymore.

So I did find out that on the NOVA headset the reset is on the right ear, not the left...so I was able to force a power cycle on it and now it is working again.

So on one of the ear pieces, after removing the soft cover, you will see a tiny hole that should just barely fit a paperclip

push and hold for 1-3 seconds

if you don't feel an actual "click" then it is probably the wrong ear piece

I took the hard cover off the left side to find that the little hole on that side led nowhere...that's when I decided to try the other ear piece and it worked first try

With your Windows 10/11 volume at max with the USB unit plugged in for volume regulation, -27 or the half-way mark is the recommended safe volume for long-time listening.

Try to take a break from headphones every 2 hours anyway for your health. Speakers are recommeneded for 3+ hours.

In order for apps to output to the other devices in Sonar, you'll need to route the apps to the specified device. Routing can be done in one of two ways:

1. Use the routing drag and drop interface underneath the audio outputs to simply move any apps playing sounds to the required output

2. Open the Windows sound device by going to Settings > Sound > App Volume and Device Preferences. From this settings menu you can use the dropdown to route any app.

If you are having issues with routing not working or apps moving back to another device after dragging them, you may need to check the app itself for any sound output settings. Some apps like Discord, Spotify, and Apple Music may need to have their outputs changed within their app settings rather than done through Sonar.

OK it's probably not the removable kind of model. What you want to do is a firmware update on it -- you are allowed to update firmware even if it is up-to-date. It restarts all the systems on the headset, I think it even restarts the on/off? Believe so. Try that.

My headset got disconnected from my PC (Arctis Nova 7) and nothing works. Reconnecting on the "USB Hub" that is in my PC doesnt work aswell. When holding down the button, nothing will work.

Right click your speaker bottom right. Click sound settings. Then find the spot where it says “more sound settings” and click that. Then go to recording, and under recording it should be your mic

Make sure your specific mic your using is set to default, you can also right click that mic and go to properties and you can see the different tabs. Try doing something there and see if change something works. If none of that works. I’m at a loss. That’s all I can think of

You can also disable anything else that’s picking up your voice under recording. Just to ensure it’s only your mic, if you’re using a ps4 controller sometimes your PC likes to pic that up as a mic, it’s weird but it happens.
