windows settings, discord vc settings and fivem chat settings are all the same. nothing worked. when switching discord to default input it worked since then nothing works

See if sonar picks it up maybe, if not try plugging in your mic to a different device that you know works.

Because it could be your mic or your port

Well if you tried multiple different headphones and they didn't work either I highly doubt they are all broken, the much more likely option is like I said, the pc, it could be your software or the hardware itself

But they don't work on his computer now? Make sure your port is good, if it is check the cable that connects it to your motherboard.

can hear myself in the mic pretty clearly, no, listen is not turned on in settings.
problem 2: even at full volume on pc and headset, the volume is low.

I am very disappointed with the quality of my headset. I bought the steel series Arctis 1. It was labelled as usb-c. The receiver is usb c but the headset is micro usb. The build quality is one step above trash and far below the quality of my Corsair. The software GG is garbage. I am literally using my Corsair one held together by tape.

If you prioritize soud quality go with the wired. If you want the convenience of wireless go with that. It's really just personal preference. with that said, i want to share with you a story that occured to me,
i'am now without any earcushions with my Arctis 7 Headset, sadly one of them has been thorn apart (it has been 4 wonderful years without any problem)
Now that i'am with only one earchushion i have to replace them,
i checked pretty much every day on steelseries site to see the updates (-> https://fr.steelseries.com/gaming-accessories/arctis-ear-cushions?ear-cushion-material=velour) but nothing was updated, it's been almost 2 whole month that theese babies are out of stock 😭
Anyone knows if i should just dump my valiant and beloved headset away even it's perfectly working still ?
Or will be there near end of the year some earcushions Arctis 3-5-7 restock by any chance ?

My Artics Nova 7 was bricked by GG as of Today

Resetting it does nothing, uninstall and reinstalling the software does nothing. No other Bluetoothy devices pick it up either, even though the lights are on. Audio 3.5 port works, but only plays sound from the left ear.. Booting up the headset, sound is still played through both.

After turning off the computer at night and turning it on this morning, I see sonar devices in the sound section of the computer, but not in the sonar section of the engine application. Therefore, I cannot receive sounds from those sections. My device is arctis 7+

Check your sound settings, what happens a lot is either the mic is muted on Windows OR isn't being used at all

Check if your mic on the headset is the default mic in Windows
