I bought it and side by side with the aluminium one it doesn’t give me any reason why it should’ve been more expensive. as a general guideline, the EQ is about raising and lowering the volume of certain frequencies. So the lower numbers on the end is stuff like bass, the center is midrange (usually voice, can also be some gunshots) and the high stuff is.. well, the high pitched stuff

I use the Immersion: Movie config in Sonar so I think that config boosts the low bass and highs but leaves the middle ones the same... but I don't have access to my PC to check for sure

I have sonar editing my mic, putting discord on chat, and game audio on gaming, and then I have audio sources capturing that audio on OBS, each of which when I play the sound, detect the sound coming from sonar, but the recording only plays my voice (I have the 3 tracks each set separately to 1, 2, and 3)

The 7X is a more robust headset - will last you longer, the Nova 7 costs a bit less and is still of great quality but will stand out less in normal wear and tear.

I would go for a 7X if I was a daily gamer or media person. If I was a weekend gamer I wouldn't.

Incase anyone else has the issue of your GG launching in another language (If you have another locale downloaded to play other games) you can go into the files: SteelSeries>GG>localization and delete all the notepad files in there other than the one you want it to launch in. Took me half an hour to figure out why it kept launching not in English despite it being the default language, the one I installed it as, my currently set locale, and the number 1 choice for apps for my PC. You may have to repeat this after any update. (Please just make your programs standalones so I don't have to Sign-In to use your gods damned programs)

Connect up the device and make sure they are working properly, then in Discord go to Preferences and then Voice and Video and select the Elgato and then use the Mic test to check you can hear yourself.

I use the Steel Series Arctis Pro for Discord. I simply select in my audio/video settings.

To listen from your headphones, make sure to output to Steel Series Arctis Pro.

In terms of Mic, try setting the mic to the Alias Pro and check to make sure you can hear yourself from Preference's Audio & Video

That's fine my Razer headset died recently a few days ago and it died after the warranty expired so I'm giving Steelseries another shot. I had the previous Steelseries Arctic Pro headset and it was my first Steelseries headset and I treated it like a baby taking really good care of it when all of a sudden it looks like this. I only realized it had a hinge flaw back in 2022.

I loved the replacable battery system it was a good Headset to me. I just bought the Steelseries Arctic Nova Pro Wireless which has a redesigned Hinge which shouldn't give me the issues that you see in the two pictures. I have since moved from when the pictures was taken.
