I just purchased the arctis nova pro wireless headset and im having issues with my mic input. When talking it sounds super choppy and robotic. I looked around for a fix but couldnt really find much that helped. read something about the bit rate needing to be the same on the microphone and speakers, but when i looked into that there was no other options to change the bit rate for the mic. • if its just a loudness issue, you can prob go into windows settings and boost it, but im not sure if that will help you get what you want from the headset, i know with a steelseries you can play in the app and cusomtize the headset and its settings

maybe try to download sonar and see if you can use it to modify your current headset

Because my Apex 7 ends up being broken with every new update it seems. One update my number 4 key doesn’t register unless I smash it 50 times. The next update it’s my number 3 key. The newest update now it’s my up arrow key. So either it’s terrible programming or bad hardware

If I purchase a GameDac2, then use a ModMic Uni (3.5mm termination) to plug it into the GameDac headphone input or line in on the back, then use my Sennheiser HD600 headphones as the game output in Sonar (plugged into a separate DAC)...would that achieve hardware-based mic monitoring for minimum latency? Not sure if non-Steel Series mics can be picked up by the GameDac for sidetone

No, Sonar is Sonar is PC only. If you have one of the new Nova Pro series headsets though they come pre-loaded with configurable per-game EQ profiles that don't require software to use so those will work on consoles

Hey, I used to have a Steelseries headset that looked like the 7X, used a USB dongle, and had a basic chatmix wheel that did NOT depend on Sonar to work. I simply had to select if I wanted "Chat" or "Gaming" in my mixer.
Unfort. the 7X w/ USB-C dongle only has a range of ~6m whereas my old one had a range of 15m+.... anyone know what's the best alternative to the 7X?

The sidetone on Alias pro sound like its in a tunnel / echo ish / small latency

Using an Artis pro Nova wireless connected to the mixer with an AUX to the headset dac

The microphone i used before (Svive hydra pro) had a direct path without the Alias mixer and had crystal clear sidetones.

while the audio coming out from the mic is superior, the sidetone in my own headset is inferior

is there any way to fix it? im guessing its because the audio has to go through the soundcard of the mixer first and creates a split second delay

They added a few useless presets for games no one plays anymore that's basically it

yeah it just broke my laptop speaker output, I cant use my laptop speaker unless I use aux which output is set to the laptop speaker on sonar
