Nova 7 pro issue. Yesterday there was alot of wind, and it sounded like the wind activated the mic when i was walking. I was listening to a podcast and the sound of the wind was louder then the podcast. Any setting i can use to not have this happen again ?

Hey there 🙂 I have a problem with my arctis 7. Since a few weeks one side of the headphone (right in my case) is randomly not giving any sound. I found out that the volume-wheel on the left side is causing the problem. Seems it has a loose contact (?). When i turn it up 100% and keep slightly pushing it to the 100%, the sound is on both sides. When i turn it down slightly (or let go) then the sound on the right side is not there always... Maybe hard to explain, let me try to sketch this:
80% [X--X-X---X-X--X] 100%
"X" = sound
"-" = no sound
So you can see that there are certain specific locations where there is sound on both sides, in the other places the sound on the right is missing.
Any tips how I can fix that? Sadly I'm JUST out of RMA and I don't want to buy a new steelseries headphone just because some 1$ part is not working anymore... :/

I need some advice 
For context, I've had Arctis 5 for years, I love the headset, replaced pads, using an aux cable (Because I have a Yeti mic).
I just bought the Arctis 7P+ because I've always wanted a wireless headset. Now, the audio sounds different in Stalker GAMMA (Hardcore FPS game) and immediately I've noticed more OOMF to things like shotguns which was good. But it didn't feel £100 for a brand new headset good 
Should I just return it and wait until this breaks and THEN get a new pair or nah?

Sonar is still experiencing the Fatal Error issue with version 47 of GG,
The fatal error issue started with version 46 and was nonexistent in 45 and earlier. And there is no way to turn off auto-update.

are you talking about chat mix? when i had my problem, i had to go into the speaker on the task bar, right click it, open the sound settings (the one that doesnt give you the volume for each application) like on windows 11 its called sound settings and then i have to go down to advanced and hit more sound settings, you set the game as your playback and chat as your recording or its the other way around.

this is the dialog box you need, i think if you set play back as your game and your chat as your recording make sure you tell each one to set as default and then it worked for me, i might have the playback and recording backwards.

because you dont have your chatmix setup correctly, depends on your headset. for example if you have the nova pros you have to use sonar in the steelseries client but if you use others you have to have your windows sound settings playback and recording setup correctly

(for reference: I like customizing the keybinds to a very personal layout especially on the Fn layer (it's what's turning me off of the Razer Huntsman Mini right now actually). On the Fn layer, are there fixed keybinds, or can I change them? Specifically, I like having Fn+1234QWERASDF as my F1-12, Fn+JKLUIO789,. as my 1234567890.(numpad), and Fn+ YGBH as my Up/Down/Left/Right. (In case you're wondering, I'm taking inspiration from the HHKB.) The question is, can I do that on the Steelseries software or are those buttons hard-locked?)

Have/did you restart your PC after the updates? Always a good 1st step.. BTW looking at your picture your computer recognizing the virtual speaker from Sonar not your actual headset which is the one you need to route within Sonar!

If only we did. The only thing that works so far is going back to 45 while your internet is disabled, and then turning off the SteelSeries Update Services from services.msc (Set to disabled from manual) before turning your internet back on.

Yes they do. If you use the Sonar feature that has AI generated noise cancellation. You can’t hear anything in the background. I have a fan blasting and it’s completely removed

I am guessing this has been asked before, but...I have the Artis 7 and can't get them to work on my MSI windows 11 pc for nothing. It will work with 1 program on my laptop and that is my broadcasting software. Windows will not read them at all. I get "failed to play test tune" every time no matter what. I am so irritated and about to get rid of SteelSeries headsets for good. I have messed with so many settings and someone told me to do a factory reset on my laptop (which i do not want to do) will be the only way to fix it.

yes did that after i restarted my computer the 1st time...it is insane. I have NEVER had a headset that just won't work when you plug them in before. I am thinking to just send them back and go with a different brand.

i had the same problem with my headset abit diffrent mine was just i coudnt hear and i sometimes could speak but mines wired because i hate having to charge headsets

Some games and other software seems to have an issue with the steel series software, you don’t have to have the software installed to use the headsets, for what it’s worth. Love my headset, not so much the software.

Works off and on for me. I suspect to many software apps trying to utilize the virtual devices, but…I’ve no idea. After 20 years in hardware and software support, I no longer have the desire to trouble shoot stuff like this. I just know that unless you need the eq or chat mixing abilities, you really don’t need the software and I live much happier without it. If you find a fix though, shoot up s flare. I’d love to be able to utilize all that I spent $200 on 🤪. Hopefully you find some support that’s more useful than my ‘just don’t use it’ answer. Truly

I really enjoy the Sonar software for gaming, as it has my game's profile, and I'm in love with the Nahimic music mode for when listening to music on my computer. What should I do !? 🙂 Switching between Sonar and Nahimic now depending on if going into a game or listening to a soundtrack.
I'm now editing the mixer settings in Media mode for Sonar to replicate the excellent settings that Nahamic has.
