@zinc holly Sorry to hear this, in my honest opinion, I would replace that headset. 4-8 years is a normal lifespan for any headset today, and yours was 4 total. My last one lasted 7 years.

I would replace if I was in your shoes. I recommend Nova Arctis wireless which allow me to walk around the whole home without disconnecting, if I set them to: Range mode. It has 2 USB from the DAC.

hey there, i've a question. My pc has a I5 13600K and a RTX 4070ti. I've been playing multiple games (right now i'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn) in ULTRA graphics with more than 150fps. My pc has 6 Lian li Unifans SL 120 V2 and also the NZXT Kraken X73 as liquid cooler

Sound quality wise, yes. I can't tell you how much I enjoy BR/FPS games again with the SS headset.

Then again, so far no issues on my end so I have nothin to complain about, however with Astro A50 gen 4 which I used for 2 years, I ran into quite a few issues that made me no longer purchase Astro.

My ASTRO A50 also all of a sudden got a crackling noise in the headset once audio was played, I wanted to RMA as it comes with 2 years warranty but guess what? I was told Astro is no longer Astro but it is now logitech and that I couldn't RMA it.

400€ for headset and 60€ for mod kit - Absolute waste of money afterall.

(Prices are a little steeper here in Norway)

It doesn't. The 9X can only connect to PC via Bluetooth and has an internal adapter to connect wirelessly to an Xbox. If you want to use the 2.4ghz connection on PC you'd need to buy a Microsoft headset/controller USB adapter separately

I have found that sonar absolutely is the issue, the moment it happened I went into my games audio output and none of the sonar options were there. I set it to just nova 7 and it worked fine. Opened sonar after this game got the error

Just purchased an Arctis Nova 1, the mic is too quiet, the only way to fix so far is by using the Windows setting to amplify to +30dB but it makes my voice sound electric and terrible.
I can't use GG since it's not a USB headset so it's not supported.

does anyone have crackling sound problems? bc everytime i open sonar to adjust warzone 2 audio, the entire "steelseries gaming" output crackles (for example, even if i connect google chrome to that output, its audio becomes crackled and impossible to listen to). it seems that the only game causing this issue is warzone but im not sure tho as i dont play any other game, tried valorant and it was ok
