Haven't used Turtle Beach for years so don't really know tbh. I would suggest finding a headset you might like and check reviews, mic tests etc :)

That's what I thought too, so I got it replaced this morning by one of the exact same model and the same problem persists. Looking online it seems a ton of people are having this problem with the Arctis Nova 1, but SteelSeries never made an official statement and even threads from several years ago haven't been resolved

No, the wireless headsets will only work with the transmitter they come with (or a replacement for that specific headset). You can't mix and match transmitters and headsets

Sooo...I just plugged in my Arctis Nova 7 headset, upgrading from the original Arctis 7 unit...and it sounds absolutely awful. Tinny, flat, two dimensional, bad EQ. I have GG installed and while the headset shows up on Sonar it isn't showing up in Engine. I've tried playing with EQ settings and no matter what I do it seems to be performing significantly worse than my original Arctis 7 set. Anyone have any ideas here?

The game chat slider on my arctis 7+ is not seperating discord sound and game sound. treats them as the same thing. Is there a settng somewhere where i can deside what is chat and what is "game"

The 7+ only has one output, not s separate Game/Chat like the original 7 so in Sonar both of the Game and Chat options should be set to Arctis 7+

k got them set to that output. its got the slider for game/chat as well and that works correctly. the thing is when it changes the audio its basically acting like a volume button as it would seem discord is being recognized as a game audio

Hmm if you have all the outputs set correctly and the slider is still changing both try unplugging your headset receiver from the PC and plug it back in

Hi guys, probably question was already raised here - I just got my Nova PRO (wired) and installed Sonar app. Set SteelSeries Sonar Gaming as default and I can see that equalized is showing input, but I can't hear anything in the headset. Though whenever I choose in windows an output device as HEADPHONES sound start coming, but I guess with that option it just go as a default setting without Sonar features and gaming presets. my arctis 7 nova just suddenly made a crackling noise and then turned off while i was playing

"reconnect headset" in engine but none of the lights on the headset are turning on/responsive and ive fac reset it, reinstalled audio drivers, manually restarted the headset and every fix i could find. aparently its a common issue for the headset but support hasnt hit me back yet

Glad you asked, Toast. I’m doing quite terrible in fact. This morning, my headset decided to just disconnect from my laptop. My laptop wont even recognize my steelseries Arctic’s 7+ in sonar. I have tried everything there is to try and I have given up.

Try keeping the headset plugged in and see if it receives power/will connect to the computer

All good. I fixed it. The problem was that the dongle suddenly stopped working. I guess because its been plugged in to the same port for so long? So i plugged it into another port on my laptop and now it all works perfectly. But if i try to plug it into that same port as before, it won’t work anymore. So I’m good now but I shouldn’t of had to do that.

I highly suggest the Arctis Nova 7 wireless. That's personally what I am using well I use the 7X wireless but same difference. Great sound and Battery last forever as well as the mic is good for in game chats.

In that situation, I believe it would not be xbox compatible due to xbox needing a certain type of security chip or whatever

It's just the colors that will change for the xbox you will get the normal Green and the playstation you will get the normal Blue for it. I personally ordered the Grey band and the grey ear pads directly from steelseries cause I am using it for my xbox series x, PS5, nintendo switch, steam deck, 3080Ti gaming PC, phone, oled tv

The Playstation version will only work with Playstation and PC though as where the Xbox version with the X will work with all consoles and phones and everything else you can think of.

Hey, can someone who is good with audio/microphones help me troubleshoot my microphone? I have an arctis 9 wireless and all my friends are saying its sounding worse than my old arctis 5 headset, i'm trying to use Steelseries GG Sonar to make it sound better, but i cant really tell how it sounds and i dont know anyone who knows audio really well, they're all saying there's something 'wrong' with it but they cant pinpoint what it is.

hello everyone. I have my Arctis Nova Pro Wired...when I have been gaming I always select " Headphones Arctis Nova Pro " Not any of the other outputs it installed like gaming,, chat, media....this is correct right? Also I have made some profiles under the Sonar App when clicking on the left hand side " Engine "..I mad some configurations there that I can just pick the drop down....I also notice that on the left is the Sonar section and also an editor for Game, Chat, Media, Microphone. Also with preconfigured dropdowns for alot of game titles. Should I be making changes in there and making configurations or am I ok doing it under the Engine section?
